Living and growing up in shit does not mean that your future is going to be shit. Reminding myself of the impermanence of everything. So things might be really lousy today. Doesn't mean they'll be lousy tomorrow or the next day. Take time to, like, absorb it and take it for what it is before you start reacting and start doing things. Just keep going. It will get better. Like, find, like, and find yourself.
You know, when you, when you can get out of that, it's not forever, you know, things will change, you know, something will change, you know, like you, you won't be in that situation forever, but you will have another struggle, but it'll be different. I learned a lot about myself as a result of it. And if I hadn't gone through that, yeah, there's chances I would have learned through other ways or other experiences. But I think to a certain degree, like.
I appreciate that and like, I don't know if I'd want to give up that experience for the things I've learned. When we're looking for things to fill us, because our cup is empty and we start grabbing at things outside of ourselves, drugs, people, sex, food, whatever it is, we need to stop and go, everything I need is right in here. It really is. You're listening to Facing Giants. Each week, we explore and reflect on a story of struggle. Strength and resilience.
These stories are meant to motivate and inspire. Regardless of your particular struggle, I hope you can find encouragement to help you against whatever giants you may be facing. Episodes can be found on all podcasting platforms and YouTube.
