Huh, then you feel at home. Yes, come on, look at that. We were rocking out. When I have a guest of the show, when I have somebody who's sitting in helping us out, I like to make them feel welcome, and you know, I like to change the vibe a little bit. But this is Eyes up Here, and you're listening and watching the brand new Eyes up Here exclusively on Patreon as well as the Creative Control Network. If you didn't know by now, my name is Chad and every single week I'm usually here by the host of

the show, Queen of Extreme Franccene. But we have a hand picked guest host. That I mean I probably would have suggested you at some point, but suggested and hand picked by the Queen of Extreme Francine. If you don't know the music in the background already, it is one of my favorite people on planet Earth, my man, the greats Kevin Ferdick. Thank you so much for having me. And uh that music brings back lots of memories, not gonna lie. Uh back back in the day house shows

and stuff. The Spirit Squad used to rave to that music. They would come meet me in the tunnel. I was about to go out and and have their own little rave before I went out, because they thought it was that yeah fun. So there you go a little little tidbit. I mean, it's very uh, you know, of the moment, right of that with two thousand and six ish era, right whenever they composed it. It's got that uh what was that What was that vampire movie out at the time.

Was it Twilight or whatever? Twilight? Yeah, there was Twilight, Yeah, interview. Yeah, it was all kind of yeah, very very of the moment, but yeah, man, you know, Francine loves you. Always talks about the time when if she talks about as she calls it, the fake easy Dub, and she talks about you, she always uh says so wonderful things about you, and you know, in the fact that you and I are buds, you know, she always says like it's nice to know that good people know each other, and she always says

such good things about you. So handpicked by the Queen of extreme absolutely and then if you know, people have been falling along with the Queen of extreme down and Orlando right now, she's you know, the doing the Star Wars tour I think today, so you've following her closer than I am. I was trying to give her crap for filling in, but no, I'm just kidding. So, yeah, she's a Disney freak. You know. I've been down to Disney, you know, a couple of times over the last few years.

I hadn't gone from ninety nine to twenty nineteen, but then we went three times I think in the last four have you gone at all? So we went, Man, I went years ago, my daughter I think was four, my son but around eight nine somewhere in there. It had a blast and stuff, but I really wish some of the new stuff was there, like Tron. I mean, my son and I've watched Tron. I can't tell you how many times together, really, Oh god, yeah. And then same with like Star Wars stuff and all that. But

Tron was like a big, big movie. I mean, we watched that when he was I want to say it's probably four I mean religiously almost every night. I mean to the point where I've got a lot of it memorized. Huh. Now, the original Tron right from the eighties, no, no no, no, no, okay, the remakeer, but we I mean we did watch the original Tron also, Okay, of course, all right, because I was gonna say, because that original Tron I was awful,

then I hate that. I can't believe the opular I mean, the new Tron was totally awful, Okay, but you know, for a four year old, they thought it was the coolest thing ever. And you know what, that's one of the memories we have of all the movies we've watched. I mean, I want to say we've we're probably like

ninety something movies together. Are more uh my son and I Right, So I mean we've I mean we've seen them all, done them all, and all this stuff, and you know, now it's interesting to watch him, you know, give his take on what movies actually are. It's pretty so yeah, you've come a long way from him just being impressed by sitting in like the big chair and getting a popcorn right oh yeah yeah, yeah, definitely full of popcorn and you know, give him slashies and all

that stuff. Yeah. Absolutely. Yeah. When I was there this past summer and the two hundred degree heat in like late July or late June, early Jai, we saw Tron being built in the distance and I was like, geez, like, we're you know, like nine months behind, this massive thing being built, and here we are on the goofy runaway trainer of the hell it was. I'm like, but we want to go there? Like, well, I want to get in that thing. But it was an incredible structure. And now, yeah,

it's opening. I think right after is it? Is it open? Now? Did it just open this week? I think it's open. I don't know. I gotta ask her. I should text her, but I don't want to buy. Yeah, we should text her right now and say, hey, we're ruining your show and give I gave her minors show updates. I don't want to bother, you know. I just said, you know, Kevin's coming up. We're all good, and I gave her

some guest updates and you know, rock and rolling. But yeah, she's been playing this trip forever and it's you know, it's their thing. I mean, you know, people have their things, you know. I mean, I I I love people that they can do it. I I'm we know, for three days, that's enough. It's like Vegas, Vegas in and out. There's only a couple of days and then you got to go. Yeah, we did the three days. We even did the Hogan Shop. We went, we drove the Orlando Hogan Shop, went in

and it's small. It's like the size of this room I'm in in my basement. It's like, you know, this this size room. You go in. There's a ring in the middle, a couple of shirts. You go out there. We're in the Hogan Shop. Back to the Disney World. Okay, three days, you're gone. She's there for two weeks. She's down there for two weeks. Yeah, But I mean they do other stuff. They go, right, you know, they do other stuff. They're family about town, so what are they

gonna do? But what else? What else is going on in your world? Mister fancy realtor man, you got your realtor title belt there, you've got your kind about my sign back here. Just you know, trying to you know, use as much as this publicity as I can. Yeah, really, just you know, it's January, the market's here, everything else, just trying to figure it out and uh you know, uh as I say, uh uh, you know, say the champ is home with with with a lot of new

clients and buyers and stuff like that. But I mean business as usual, you know, totally was totally blessed for the wrestling stuff that I had and then I mean and being able to use kind of kind of that into the real estate stuff. I'm having a blesst awesome. Man. Yeah, I know you your career is taking such a turn from slamming yourself and others down to the mat to slamming people into their homes and changing their lives. It's it's pretty cool to see, uh, the transition you've gone through.

But like, what's your favorite part of getting somebody into their dream house? Is it like the the build up to like them picking it out. Is it there like first day in the house, or they're like fulfillment afterwards where they're like so excited and actually living in it. I think it's there fulfillment afterwards and then you know, getting you know, text or whatever afterwards of them just

you know saying hey this is what we did. Oh man, you know you were so right on, hey let's do this, or you know kind of the vision, you know, the vision you helped us with. I think that's that's what's cool, you know, and seeing you know, the family memories when you know Howween happens or Christmas happens, you know, just the decorations and stuff, like that that they they do to make it, make it their own, you know, I

think I think that's always the coolest part. And then when they realized that their realtor is this massive, giant man who definitely is not like, you know, every other realtor that they could have selected or been connected to, when does that usually hit the I mean probably at the start, once we do it start, you know, going

seeing the houses and stuff. But I mean towards the end, I think, you know, it gets to be such a friendship and everything else that I mean, I'm just I'm just a normal guy, which is so weird because they tell all their friends, you know, I've been over to the the parties afterwards, you know, uh uh you know, a new house, you know, come come to our house. Everything else they're like, oh, this is our realtor, and everybody there's you know, acting like it's such a big deal.

And then with me with uh, you know, me and the the couple, you know, whoever's owned the house and stuff, we're just like b f F and it's just nobody. Nobody's like they're like you talk to him like that, Oh yeah, Like we're we're literally having fun. I mean that's that's pretty much. Once you break the ice. The rest of the time, it's it's super easy. They just like they just go like this and then they realiz

is that you know, you're you know, you're funny. You know, you like to joke around, and I think that that's like something that kind of catches people off guard. They think you're going to be super serious. But you know, yeah, I'm sure they they it's a relief for them though, you know, but I'm sure they want you to tap into the seriousness at the negotiating table. Well that that

always happens and stuff. I mean, you know, it's I wish I had the negotiating skills that I do now when I was with w W. I'll put it that would it would have it would have been a lot different, you know, sitting across from Vinnie Mack maybe yeah. Well, you know, hey, listen, it's a different world. And uh, I think you've done a great job with your career. But we'll transition. We'll talk a little bit about the wrestling world and we'll get back to the realty a

little bit later on Big Week Wrestling. It's been it's been a big last like six months and wrestling with all the stuff going on, and we'll talk about everything, but I want to talk about most recent stuff. Raw thirty was this past week. First of all, crazy enough that Raw is thirty years old, because I can't believe that thirty years of Monday Night Raw is a thing,

because I remember it just starting. I remember not even wanting it to happen, because I used to love the format of the original shows where it was just squash matches in an arena and them sitting in a room talking about I love that. But Raw thirty, Can you believe it's been that long? It was pretty pretty crazy watching, you know, because I remember Yo vaguely, you know, the raws with the Ico pro and everything else, and you know in the bar like stuff like that, you know,

as being the first. And then when Raw kind of hit its heyday, I was running a Golds gym in Memphis and I was kind of the next manager at the time, so I didn't get to watch it other than you know, sound off, you know, and on the treadmill acting like I was talking to a client, you know, talking to somebody and you know, smooze them over and stuff like that. Now, those guys would always come through

and work out at the gym and stuff. But I mean, you know, back back in the day, you know when the Monday Night Wars happened and you know all that, it was pretty much for me kind of sound off. So you know, I got to see it, you know, on the TV, but didn't you know, didn't really you know, get to hear the excitement and you know everything else. But I mean, you know, you look back, I mean thirty years. I mean, good God, in this business, I

mean that's that's huge. Yeah, it's incredible, and it's funny too. I mean, for as long as you were in the WWE system, you were usually married to the other side. Though you were either linked to the SmackDown and e c W which was linked to SmackDown still, but you had to go to the raw side. You did. You did have to go to tapings. You were backstage for a lot of stuff. What was the raw vibe like because SmackDown I mean, you know, granted still a TV taping,

but raw live. What was the TV environment like at a raw uh? Fanatical? I mean, you know, always kind of kind of crazy because you know, you had a mastermind, lunatic running the show. And that would change change things at a whim and stuff like that. And and two I think you know at that time kind of when I was there, is it wasn't the same raw where we where they knew they were going to go and

just just destroy numbers. You know. Uh kind of kind of the point where I was there, you know you're talking about yeah, as a as a as a whole, there was too much TV to watch. You know, we're just getting all all the cable shows, We're getting all this other stuff. Uh, you know, I think ratings were a little bit down, so it's like, all right, what can we do to you know, burst burst the ratings tonight,

you know kind of thing. And they've and they had already kind of done it, so you know, it was different, different than that, But I mean, yeah, definitely fun. I mean I always liked it on nights that we take E c W on those you know beforehand on the on the Monday nightnings. Right, just different, just a different you want to get out of the way or one night early, get it out of the way. Did you get a chance to check out any of this Raw thirty show? Uh? I watch it, Uh, like I do

everything now on the treadmill. The next day at the gym I work out at, you could do YouTube and there's some highlight WW Monday Night Highlight or whatever, and it's you know, sixty sixty minutes, but it's just the really good clips of everything. So I kind of watched that, but I never watched it on sound, and I really should. Yeah, but I can only imagine that. You know, Ron Simmons said, damn that Chad did whatever he did, and you know, some stuff I saw, I was like, all right, you know,

this is an ode. I thought there should have been more people. There was a lot more people that think, you know, it should have been on that that contributed raw and stuff that are out there and aren't with a major company that you know wouldn't have you know, costat friction or you know, given others publicity. But at the end of the day, I mean, you know, maybe that forbidden door should have been opened, you know, as

they say, just because it's thirty years or raw. I mean, yeah, it gives everybody, hey, we were here, we did this and everything else. It was weird, you know, it's it's they go to the list. I liked what they had. Hulk Hogan kick off the show and he did just a general welcome. I thought that was perfect because it was, you know, ninety seconds to two minutes. It got the crowd pumped. What would you have would you have really said that Hogan was what made Raw? It was No,

it wasn't, but he was at all. No, but he was there. He was technically there, you know, three months after it launched. It wasn't on many of them at the beginning, but then you know, when the nWo was brought back in two thousand and two, the one I actually, I'll tell you my favorite Raw main event of all time is the nw O versus Austin and Rock. Oh absolutely, you know. And then yeah, one of their I think

one of their biggest ratings of that era. So like, he's got but they got him out of the way, so they put him on the intro of the show and that's it. But they go right into this segment with the bloodline and Sammy's Ain. They call it the Trial of Sammy's Ain. It was originally supposed to be a very Samoan geared segment. And this is the weird thing. So they said Afa and Sicca couldn't travel to be

at this thing. But I guess Off and Seco don't live in Pennsylvania anymore, because this show was in Philly. I thought they lived in Pennsylvania. I thought too, So yeah, so that was weird. RAKESHI apparently is not feeling very well, so he couldn't travel, so they had to change the booking on the fly and to this trial thing. I don't watch raw. I watched it because I wanted to see Hogan. I wanted to see some of the segments.

I have to give them a lot of credit. This trial of sammy'se Anything was the best wrestling television I've seen in ages. It was compelling, it was well written, it was what everybody played their part really well. And if you do watch it, I would suggest check it out. It was very well. I mean I watched them but without any volume, And even without volume, I'm following along. Yeah, you know, I keep my music on and and kind of watch and it's still you could still, you know,

get a vibe of what's what's going on. I mean, I think they're killing it. Uh, you know, all those guys are just insanely talented. Everything else, I mean, you know, the family history there there's no reason why they ever not be talented, you know, with the with the with the bloodlines they have so so definitely I would I would say that that's I mean, you know, I read something online or oh they took up too much time, so this this match or that match got But you

know what, they're the main event. I mean, they're they're it. I mean, they're they're what will sell you know, WrestleMania, and everything else will be whatever Roman Reigns does with whoever what he does. They get the time, you know, and they deserve that. They deserve the time because I mean they're keeping you glued to the TV. So yeah,

I got a huge rating. And you know it's funny, like I mean, everybody wants to talk about Sammy Zayin's his great wrestler, and he's you know, they're not showcasing and wrestling. He's he's showing better personality than if they put him in the ring. People are more into him, you know, making jokes than if he put him put him in his tights. Yeah, he's so talented, it's ridiculous. Uh. But then so then the show, I mean, to me, after that, I mean, the Undertaker comes back as the

American bad ass. I thought that was a great, you know, little segment. It was got a huge pop. Apparently I saw the clip like you did on online because I tapped out after the Bloodline segment. But then yeah, I think it kind of went down and you know, they did the d X thing and yeah, which is so overdone and so whatever of all those guys, and I'm yeah, you know me, I'm a huge Billy Gun Yeah, because

he's he's like my brother there. It's just I don't know, it's just like, yeah, like you know, we're gonna bring those guys out, you know, and have them face to face this and we're gonna do nothing to me. It was It's weird. I should have listened to it, I guess, but it's silently watching it. So here's what they did. I'll explain what they did. They you know, uh, road Dog did the whole spiel, but when he would go to Billy's part, he turns and it was kurd Angle.

Kre Angle says I always wanted to be in d X and reveals he's got a d X shirt. So that was how they did the nod to Billy, right, But you're assuming everybody a knows Billy at this point in twenty twenty three, if you're a younger audience, you might not even know who he is, if you don't

know the history of the business. And then you're also assuming that they watch a W and know that Billy's on a W and that's you're then you're telling yourself that only this number of people are watching both products. So I just think it's weird. It well, well too many times, and assuming both the fans know both sides of the product, I don't know, very weird, but DX, it's so lame. It was lame then it's it's even more lame now. It was revolutionary then now it's it was.

It was good, but just trying to be yeah, it's come on, let's you know, let's let's move on. It was cool, but it was like it was the the nWo had that little bit up, you know, it was and like what sewn Shaw Michaels left the group. It was like when Shawn Michaels there, they had that edge because he was such a dick. He gave them the dick edge. When he left, they had that more goofy edge, which you know people liked. But now they're just kind of corny. It's a legit corny. All right, I'm daking.

I'm just giving my piece, you know. That's that's that's just me. But okay, so that was raw thirty. So yeah, like you said, you you felt there could have been more legends that were outside the box than the same ones that they bring back. Yes, I tend to agree. Otherwise, you know, WWE's on the road to WrestleMania. The Royal Rumble is coming up. I can't not ask you about your Royal Rumble experience. Royal Rumble two thousand and seven. I just watched it just to prepare for you coming on.

I believe you enter after Chris Benoi, who then also I was, I was number twenty one. According he also dumps you out acording to the Net Today, and that was sixteen years ago according to the Net Today, because I got reminded of that this morning when I you know, got on Twitter or whatever else, uh, you know, which was cool. Yeah, I mean, I mean wrestle you know, wrestling and Royal Rumble, Wrestling, Madison Square Garden Wrestling, and Mania.

I mean those are all things that you know, you try to check off as a you know, as a wrestler of things that you know, you have to you know, do you know, to say that you've made it this business so absolutely, I mean you know, and then you know, Chris Chris bin Wall putting me out may probably never be seen because of whatever. Yeah. Yeah, but yeah, but I mean it's you know, it was definitely a fun experience, you know, and when you look back, you're like, man,

I did that, so it's pretty cool. But what I love about it is just the sheer beef in the ring. I mean it's just oh yeah, I mean we would squash every a w fucking talent out there with what was in that ring. You know, that's not knocking a w I mean they've they've got a crap ton of talent, but those I mean it's you know, a lot smaller generation of wrestlers and stuff like that. I mean, when you know, I'm to sixty five and I'm in that ring and I'm small, I mean comparatively to what really

is out there, that's saying something. I mean, that's that's that's pretty insane, you know. That's that's kind of like the funny thing now is you know, yeah, people you know, going and showing the houses, people asking questions, going to different functions with kids, you know, my children and stuff like that. You know, everybody's got questions about wrestling, and they're like, oh, you had to be one of the biggest. No, I wasn't. No, not even in the ring that I was.

I was small to medium at best, you know, even at sixty five. I mean, you know, going in the locker rooms back in the day, I mean you just sit there and be like, holy crap. I mean that's big boys. But you know, but it's funny. But when they launched E c W, and you know, and they put you in there with your you know, different characters, so that when they were trying to branch out the different personalities. The thing about that ECW is that it

was kind of a hodgepodge of guy. So you were more of a standout in terms of your size with that group. But then if you lumped in then the rest of the SmackDown roster, No, then you definitely started to move down the size chain. I throw you in the Royal Rumble. No, in that ring. When you run in the ring, you're you know, you're probably maybe like the eighth biggest guy in the ring. Yeah. Yeah, And I mean you think about ECW back in the day. I mean, you know, there wasn't any big, big guys.

I mean, Hayman took what he had and made it, you know, elaborate. I mean, you know, you look at

a Taz. Taz is never huge, but you know the way that uh you know, I still I still remember I was in Memphis and Taz was coming down for Memphis Championship Wrestling because we were kind of developmental territory at the time, and he was there to wrestle uh uh Jerry and meeting Tasks for the first time, and I was like, holy ship, you're small like I was, you know, like oh and oh you know, but I mean, dude,

his demeanor and everything else. I mean he was ten foot tall and bulletproof, just like the rest of them. The way the way, you know, the way he ran himself and everything else, which was which was so cool. And I mean I think that's that's why e c W. You know, back in the day, you know, Fran Scene and all those guys, I mean, they they you know, they did it is because they presented themselves as you know, ten foot tall and bulletproof. No matter what. Yeah, you know,

that's and it's pretty cool. Yeah, No, it's a that was different. And they only the biggest guy they had up to probably like ninety six was nine to one one and he was I think six ' six among them. You know, he was the big show or you know, Andre the giant. He was massive. Because I mean Taz is probably my highest probably like five seven. He's not the biggest guy in the world. So you know, nothing against people who are five to seven. I think I'm a great height. So yeah, but I stand next to

you and it's not not the tallest guy. But yeah, so now that's a great thing to go back and watch. Listening to the commentary is always something I'd like to go back and listen to because I always wonder, is it the big guy telling them what to say? Is it a little bit of a little commentary being thrown out there. It's Lawler. I believe Taz maybe Jr. On

commentary for this one. Lawler gets law was very complimentary of you when you get in there throwing some haymakers, you know, and obviously the history with Memphis, so you know, I don't know, did Jerry you know, did you guys have a relationship with w W E or was it just kind of passing by when you were at the shows. Uh? No, I mean, you know, Jerry always remembered me and everything else. Jerry's Jerry. You know, Jerry looks out for Jerry, you know, which is is whatever. But no, I mean we we

always had a good relationship. I mean every time I was in the ring, he always made me look bigger than life, you know, and it would take care of me, you know up there. I don't know, I mean, you know, he was always just kind of the commentator everything else. You know, with Jerry, I think he always looked out for his position in Memphis and stuff like that, and another kid from Memphis coming in. You know, I don't know.

You know, you had Brian at the time, you know, depending on where Brian was in his life, if he was going to be around or not. And I mean Brian took care of me too a bunch of times, right just you know, uh Dark matches, Jack matches, stuff like that. I mean I would be paired up, uh you know, in tags wrestling him and Scottie, and I mean, you know, Brian would always you know, do stuff to make me look good and you know, take care of me and tell me to calm down and stuff like that.

So I mean, you know, as a whole you know. Uh yeah, Jerry definitely, you know, never did anything but nice things for me, I mean, with within reason. So that's what I was thinking. I was thinking maybe that Memphis kinship, maybe he was just looking being a complimentary one of his Memphis boys. Yeah. Yeah, I mean, you know, and at the time, you know, I think, you know, who knows, they might have had ideas for me and everything else, and I made it. You know, He's end

up seeing what happen, I guess. I mean, I got a spot me and Shelley, you know, grabbing a lottery ball. I mean you know, yes, I mean that was extra that was extra airtime. I mean really yeah, yeah, that's right. No, that's right. Actually, and I did see that too as I was scanning through the going to the to the match. I have to yeah, I also have to. I was gonna pull it up. I had the picture. I got to give you credit as I was doing my of course,

my research for you. Your your dynamite haircut. When they were repackaging you, you looked pretty spiffy with that hairdo my friend cut your hair and before you before you got released and No. Nine or eight whenever it was, that was terrible. Oh no, you look great. That was reminiscent of your your real turn. Uh promo shot. That haircut was down somewhat there. You look good. I don't know what you look The nights were not good. The haircuts. Part about that was as I got back from England,

they wanted to a haircut. I try to figure that out, got that haircut show up, and then Vince asked why I cut my hair? Oh did he so? You know whatever? Yeah, they told me I needed to cut my hair because Vince wanted me to, and then cut my hair and then Vince asked me why I cut my hair? That's, you know, the good part about w W. You see Johnny's hitting the convention scene. Oh man, I cannot wait to see Johnny Axe on the on the convention scene.

I look I looked forward to those uncomfort uncomfortable conversations with you know people around that are like, yeah, you totally dicked us over and fired us and uh, you know everything else. He's got to have the the Undertaker set up where they pull him into like a curtained room and separate him, you know, and have the separate line in a different area. They got to have like secret service protection around him. You know. It's the wrestling business.

None will say shit, no, no kisses ass and act like it's all fine and dandy and just the way. That's whatever. Everybody sets new Year's resolutions, and hardly any of us keep them. But when setting them, it's time to set goals that you actually strive to attain. And

I'm ready for this new year. So your last time you were on with us with Eyes of Pere that was probably I don't know what about two months ago, and I think the following week day, maybe even days after you were on with us, I'm looking at Twitter and all of a sudden it pops up and you

you you post this random picture all right. I don't know if it was a picture. You just tweeted and it was like thank you very much to blah blah blah for the experience, you know, look forward to seeing it. And I'm like, what the hell is this? I'm like, what how is How did you not tell me about this? And I called you right away? But you popped up randomly on a w dark in a lumberjack match as they came through Indianapolis. So I was I was on

Friday night night. My my my, my fault. Tell the story because it literally happened days after you were on with us the last time. Yeah, so on that Uh, just they were in town and Indianapolis and just you know, went down there to see uh see mister ass and you know, uh the gun boys and a couple, you know, a couple couple others and so on and so forth, and uh, you know, hanging out backstage. I had my buddy Dennis Kelly, who plays for the Colts with me.

He's he's a huge wrestling fan and uh maybe one day he'll he'll be stepping in a ring killing somebody just because he's he's got wrestling knowledge unlike any other. But we're just hanging out and then uh yeah, q T. Marshall came up and was like, hey, uh you want to be in this lumberjack match. I'm like, uh I guess. He goes, you got your gear? And I'm like, why would I have my gear? Like I came here. I came here to hang out, Like I'm not trying to get a job at this point. I'm yeah, I like,

oh yeah, yep. On like and I'm sitting there thinking, like, you know, I guess maybe that is how most people do it, but anymore, I just don't. And uh. So he's like, well, how far do you live from here? I'm like, well, I'm about twenty minutes, you know, give

or take. So you know, I ran home. I Dennis had to come with me as just because he had to laugh the whole time because I was then a nervous wreck because I was like, oh shit, I don't have anything organized in my basement where all my stuff is. It's just it's kind of there. It's you know, spread out. It's not like in a suitcase. It's ready. I mean, boots are here, tights are there, this is there, that's there,

grab you know whatever else. So literally I get home and I'm like, oh, you know, trying to grab stuff. And then I'm like, you know what I am and I'm not going to go dress uh and uh you know in the hallway or in some you know, some talent locker room or what you know whatever as far as and not that I'm over, I just I just want my own space to get dressed. So I was like, I'm getting dressed here. And then I come upstairs, I have everything on, and he's dying laughing, you know, like

what are we doing? I go, look, it is what it is we get pulled over. This is gonna be the best story ever. So we you know, drove back, got there, you know, go and do whatever. I thought there was gonna be a lot more TV exposure than there was. I mean, you saw me like three seconds here, three seconds there. But you know what, the check came about two weeks later for absolutely doing nothing. And you know, we've got nothing but good things to say. I mean,

they they've got a great thing going. Aw you know, a lot of guys are getting a lot of opportunities and stuff like that. Uh, you know, I think booking needs as a whole needs to simmer down. I think they keep hiring too many people. At some point you got to stop hiring God and everybody and just concentrate on this, this and this and start building. But I mean, you know, Tony's toy and you know, and he's you know, I mean given a lot of guys a lot of

opportunities to make money that all deserve it. So you know, I definitely never gonna hate it because it's given guys opportunities, you know, to make to make money with what they have. And you know, not necessarily nothing wrong with the indies, but you know, having a little bit more uh, you know, comfort and knowing I've got a paycheck next week, which which I think, you know, definitely helps out of you know,

not being out there going. I don't know, you know, as long with the these bookings, I'm getting paid, but something happens, I'm out, you know, my mortgage, I'm out my car card and all this other stuff. So at least, you know, list those guys are getting those opportunities, so you know, as a whole, I mean, next time they're in town, I don't know, hopefully I'll bring my gear this time. I guess maybe just in case. But it was still pretty funny just leaving, leaving, going, getting dressed

and coming and coming back. And I was it was pretty entertaining. So what did you think of the crowd? Uh, crowd was good, I'll be honest, though, Uh the rampage crowd was nonexistent by the time. By the time we got in the ring, I looked looked around and I was like, holy crap, this this place was filled to the room, you know, for the for the first show, and then now it was just it was done. And I you know, and I think that comes down to

you you know, with with anything like that. And it was like that with E. C W back back in the day too, if we filmed before raw or before SmackDown or whatever. I mean, it was great because it was pack that it was the first thing they'd seen everything else after SmackDown, and we would would go out there, you could just tell people are just done. I mean, they were worn out, they were tired. You know, wasn't the main show, so they weren't as in tune to it,

you know. So I think that kind of comes with with you know, with all that is. And I know it's a budget thing, but I think at some point they're they're gonna have to do, Hey, this is rampage, this is done, you know. And I think it just makes it for for better for better stuff, you know, and for better crowds and crowds that are into it, because you know, when I did look up and look around,

it was like, oh and nobody's there, you know. And I talked to a couple of friends of mine because I didn't let anybody know that, you know, I had gone home, got change was in there. I was like, oh were you there? Oh ship dude. We were in the car all the way. Oh yeah, awesome, thanks, yeah, thanks guys. Yeah, that's terrible. And it's it's interesting because they could get worn out and it seems like they kind of wear themselves out with they're just they're like

kind of over the top. They're chanting and yelling, and they put themselves into like every single match like too much. Well, they try to make every match the main events. Yeah, but you know with a W and stuff like this, it's and I mean, you know, I had the privilege and experience and everything else of Rip Rogers, who was one of our trainers here. And Rip's crazier and shit, I love him to death, but has he's like corn

app though. They've got a love for the business like no other and the smarts for the business like no other. And Rip used to have us in OVW. We'd build the show and you know, the first match would be like a schoolboy roll up and then you know it and everything would transpire. Okay, then now the next match would have that, but that would be the false finish, and then the next match would would use you know something you know, uh, middle middle of the card, right

before you know, intermission. Stuff like that would be you know, someone launching somebody over the top rope and then hitting the floor and just selling like it killed them, you know, and then all that would transpire to the main event, and then the main event would put all of those aspects in their match and they had the people eating out of their hands because they were it built to that.

But you know, with with aw matches and stuff like that, is I mean, that was like to you know, today in gym, I'm you know, trying to watch some stuff, you know, knowing we're going to be here today talking. But I mean, first match, you know, they're over the top, through the ropes, I mean, and everything's on the outside. It just you know, and then two with with with them, uh you know, my biggest disconnect is every week has blood now like blood used to be main you know,

a main event. I mean, you know, and there's guys that you know, I mean, one of one of the matches I remember specifically was Eddie Guerrero and jbl In. The blood that they did, you know in that Great American Bash was absolutely insane. I thought Eddie damn near cut his f and head off when he got to the back and everything else. But that that's what it called for but to also you know in that those guys are making you know, probably five hundred into a

million apiece to bleed like that. I can get it, you know it, you know, and they're making that money where I maybe you know, just doing it for the sake of TV every week. It's just it's got to build something to me. And I think it just it uh you become uh desensitized. I guess I do. I think that's the word. Yeah, yeah, because you're he doesn't mean anything anymore. Yeah, You're just it's it's not bothering me anymore. Now. It's like it's just a typical you know,

you know kind of kind of stuff. Right. So I mean I think, you know, those kind of changes need to be made, you know, with their product and everything else. But I mean as a whole, it's it's it's awesome television. And I mean seeing some of these guys you know, like you know, mg F and some other ones that are ye you know, homegrown, that are really starting to get over and starting to you know, be huge park.

And then when you go to the you know, the wrestle cons and the autograph signings and seeing the lines for those guys it's like, all right, they're they're doing you get it. So it's you know, definitely definitely pretty cool to see. So and it's weird to your point that women's match that had all that blood two weeks ago whatever it was one. So if there's nobody saying for that, she just got herself, you know, nobody, nobody's pays for it. And then two, I mean, ratings are

so so on a Friday night. I mean you you know, you know, I and and those and those girls work their asses off. I mean they they I mean Ruby. So she's amazing. I mean she's an Indiana person, I mean up up north. I mean absolutely amazing talent, you know, and and and gave it and put it all on the line. It was just like a right, it just needs to be for just a little bit something more. And I think it would have been awesome, you know, at least get super paid for it then just your

normal check, I guess. Yeah. And she bled like Eddie Guerrero on a show. Yeah yeah, Inane, that's wow. Well, that time flew by for eyes up here, But I am going to invite you to stay to do the rest of our Patreon content with us. If that's okay with you, since you were the invited guests of the Queen of Extreme Absolutely, okay. Well, we'll wrap up today, but I will run down the Patreon content for everybody listening. Of course, we'll do the watch alongs, but I'm going

to throw a little bit of a curve ball. We're gonna do two watch alongs only because, as we've documented with Francine, you guys didn't get a lot of time in ECW. You guys were a little bit rushed and some of these segments are like four minutes and you're out. So not only are we going to watch Ariel versus Francine uh and it's whopping, you know, three minute, it's

in forty five. Yeah, but we're also going to watch the match you talked about the last time you were on with us, and that is one Kevin Thorn versus Ball's mahoney, oh god. And this one has basically if it wasn't a referee stoppage, it was a Mercy pinfall. So we're gonna do that and then this one, I mean, you know, I think this could become the two parter because it is, it is ridiculous, and it is ridiculous Wrestling Urban Legends. Now, Francine and I have done lists

like this before. This has some that we may have covered, but there's some that I know we haven't. But I'm just curious to hear your take on some of them. And I'm sure you might have the two cents on a few, So just strap in. It's gonna be ridiculous, just like the the I'm looking forward to the headlines you trying to make me go and I can't talk

about that. I've I already centered it. No, I pulled them because I skipped over the parties at either I know A I can't mention, or B. I just I know it's true and I don't want to say it because you know I'm not. See folks, when you spend time around when you spend time around the guys, you know who to talk about and who not to say anything, who to mention, who not dimension see. That's why I'm tough on with people, man like I say what I

need to. You know I'm good. But if you want to follow me, it's at Chad E and B on Twitter, at IB Exclusives on Instagram. My website is IB Exclusives dot com you can catch my autograph signings and everything going on in the ib Exclusives land to include Get ready for this one if you're not already, mister fertig Thorn Mordecai this February twenty fifth at the Virginia Beach Field House. But I haven't seen you in person since twenty seventeen, so I cannot wait to hang out with you and obviously have you bet yeah, I looked it up. WrestleCade twenty seventeen was the last time we were like physically in the same room together. But now I mean not

just for me, obviously for the fans too. In Virginia Beach talking to people, people have been messaging me big Mordechai fans and you told me Mordecai's last match was in that area. So yep, interesting stuff. Where can the people find one mister Kevin Ferdig at the Kevin ferdig Is Instagram and Twitter and then Facebook. I think it is Kevin Fredick really and then just Kevin Ferdick, So I kind of kept it pretty easy. Look at that. I mean, if this guy doesn't know what he's doing,

I don't know what else to tell you. So we will get out of here for this week. Again. Thank you Kevin for joining us. Catch us on Patreon, Patreon dot com, slash Francine podcast for the pale writer. This is the Chad start. We will catch you on the flip side.
