Speaker 1

Hey everyone, it is the community Spring Green Scene and you are listening to Ice up there with Grand Scene in the iHeart Radio Network or where every Data podcast. As always, I am joined on the coach Jed.

Speaker 2

Hello, Jed, or are you d it's showtime?

Speaker 1

Does everybody dance to our theme music? Do you think there's a more like bop in their heads? I do?

Speaker 2

Got it so cute?

Speaker 1

I love it.

Speaker 2

If you don't dance to the beginning theme, you got a bounce city ending theme.

Speaker 1

Yeah, that's true. How you been what's going on?

Speaker 2

Let's know what's happening with I'm great? Yeah, awesome? Yeah? Loving the weather, fall, weather, starting to settle in, loving the fall, signs of falls we like to call them around here. Yeah, you like fall, love fall, falls, falls in bloom.

Speaker 1

Fall leads to winter, and I'm not a fan.

Speaker 2

I'm not a sorry season seasons change.

Speaker 1

I don't like it. Give me my summer all the time. I'm sad. We went to church last night and didn't wear coats or anything, and I was like, it's freaking cold out here, and then it was raining and I was like, what is happening? You know, like, where's my warmth? Although this week I think we get two pool days.

Speaker 2

Oh okay.

Speaker 1

I think it's gonna be like eighty four eighty five ish something like that. So I think we'll be able to get in the pool a couple more days before where we have to call it quits. But I don't know. Like falls nice and all, but it leads to winter, and I just hate winter. I'm not a cold fan, you know. Yeah, the older you get, the more your bones hurt and it's gray. It's just it's not fun. I don't like it.

Speaker 2

I personally love the fall. You know, it's my birthday time.

Speaker 1

A couple of weeks, I'm going to hear about this birthday for the next fine actually two weeks, and then the next two weeks after that.

Speaker 2

You know what, I think this is the first year where there's like nothing going on.

Speaker 1

You're not having a big party, I don't think so. No, I didn't get the invite.

Speaker 2

By the way, do we have to celebrate this year? There's nothing's going get close getting there, you know. But it's like what you know, I don't know. It's like I just don't feel celebratory. I don't know. But nothing bad, not like any like specific reason. I just want to go out like and enjoy. Yeah, like just go out enjoy the day. Usually I like to stay here and

you know, have like a have like a banger. But I don't know, I want to just go like out enjoy, like the sights and the sounds and the experience a place.

Speaker 1

Everybody is it because you're not drinking?

Speaker 2

I don't know. I mean I'll have I mean I might partake on my birthday. Yeah, deserve something.

Speaker 1

Okay.

Speaker 2

Perhaps I had to break, you know a little bit of the streak for recording the other day with us.

Speaker 1

Oh did you have a beverage with you? Use me?

Speaker 2

I had to yeah, oh wow, part of the was the prerequisite for the recording.

Speaker 1

Okay, so what were you drinking?

Speaker 3

Then?

Speaker 2

You're my same thing?

Speaker 1

Yeah, okay, Well, you know I have not uh had a cocktail in a while, and yesterday, you know, I really wanted one, but because of this diet with the seaboll and all this bullshit, I'm done there. I haven't really had them. And I said to my husband, I could really use a cocktail or twelve and he kind of looked at me and just shook his head like no, And I was like, yeah, no, I mean the other night watching the Eagles game. I would have loved to have had it like one of my not your father's. Yeah,

hang out, you know what I mean. But I didn't. I didn't and I'm ashamed to say it, but I fell asleep.

Speaker 2

Oh I woke up.

Speaker 1

It was twelve fourteen, and I was just like, fly Eagles fly, you know, but I'm missing. Yeah, I fell asleep.

Speaker 2

So what are your thoughts on that international kickoff for them? That they were rezilt money?

Speaker 1

Grass man? It's just to make money. You know, they're over there, they sold out that stadium or whatever, and I don't know, I prefer them at home. You know. There's all kinds of stuff going on with their country and the singers and the eighty seven national anthems people.

Speaker 2

I don't know.

Speaker 1

I mean, I don't mean to be disrespectful, but I just feel like, I don't know. I said it like before. It's a big deal when, like anybody from the United States travels abroad. But like if their sports team came here, would we give two craps.

Speaker 2

Seriously at all?

Speaker 1

But they were all in like the NFL gear and they're like, god, our faces are painted. I'm like bruh, what is happening? You know?

Speaker 2

I mean it's cool to be fair though, I know there were a lot of restrictions placed on the NFL players that they couldn't leave the hotel. They couldn't leave the right Is that what happened? Oh yeah, yeah, because you know, fear of things happening outside of the hotel, you know possible, you know, robs, robbing, muggings, you know, kidnapping. But if you're a Philadelphia Eagle, are you really that like far from home? If that's the case, I mean, are you really supposed to see that?

Speaker 1

The whole thing?

Speaker 3

To say?

Speaker 1

As a former Philadelphian, I will always be a Philadelphian. Uh at heart? That was really really not cool. Wow, that was rude. Anyway, Look, Philadelphians are some of the most passionate, diehard fans out there. You cannot disagree with that statement, all right, So yeah whatever, But yeah, I don't I don't know, I don't know if I like this traveling.

Speaker 2

I don't know, dumb.

Speaker 1

I mean, it's I think it's a money grab. They're making their money, you know, yes, selling selling merch out there, and I'm all about making money. But it was just weird. You know, it was just weird.

Speaker 2

Hey, they find idiots like me who just buy a different hat because it's got a patch on the side of it. Okay, so that's exactly what they do. They're like, oh, look there's the Eagles jersey with the opening kickoff Brazil patch on the jersey. Oh my gosh, I had to go get that. Well, I've got the All Star warm up hat on with the little patch that says, you know, all Star game on the side. So I mean, you know, I'm one of those idiots.

Speaker 1

Well, my heart was broken a little bit because this was the first game that Jason Kelcey didn't play, and he was like, I guess he was at home tweeting. You know, Yeah, I loved him. The tush push wasn't the same, Like it was just there's something missing, you know. But again, I'll bleed green until I die, So I'm looking forward to the football season. It wasn't the prettiest win,

but I'll take it because it's a win, you know. Yeah, But I'm really I love That's the one thing I like about the fall is football.

Speaker 2

Football starts, and that's what I was just gonna say. We gotta get you with football.

Speaker 1

Sure, it's a positive, and I love just hanging out, you know, watching the game, But I like snacking. I miss snacks. In my house. We have snacks, man, we have so many snacks. And I just walk by and I look at them and they're all winking at me, like you know you want me. I have a snack and I can't eat the snacks. Man, I'm so sad. I'm so sad.

Speaker 2

I want them vulgar snacks.

Speaker 1

I think I would have killed somebody yesterday for a Chipotle burrito jar. Just crave something so bad that you're like, damn, I will go and burn, burn this down to get what I want. I want a burrito. Like I was angry yesterday and I wanted I wanted a burrito with all my stuff in it, and I wanted chips and queso. And what did I eat? I ate a preplate meal that I ordered to modify health because that's what I was supposed to eat, and I'm getting sick of it.

No offense to modified health, but it's like bruh, helk a sister up, Let's get that burrito in my belly.

Speaker 2

I mean, what could be better than a modified health meal.

Speaker 1

You know, look, they're tasty and all, but damn I want a burrito from Chipotle.

Speaker 2

I feel you. Okay, it's I get you. I told you. Before we started recording, I went to see Beetlejuice. Yes, today is it's we we got you know, a large popcorn between my wife, daughter and me. Yeah, you want to just have one for yourself, you know what I mean? Like you just want to have it sit on you. But I'm like, no, position it in the middle. Everybody can share. It was like, yeah, you know, no butter don't want to have the butter. Yeah, of course it is,

but you don't want to edit because that's too much. Right, everybody could have it, you know what I'm saying. Everybody could, but you gotta be like, I gotta control it. I gotta I gotta say no, it's it's it's going to lead to something else. And by god, because three people are having a large popcorn, the damn thing is done before the stupid movie starts because the previews take twenty five minutes to get to the movie.

Speaker 1

Who didn't call Maddie?

Speaker 2

No it Maddie was there? Oh my god? No, no, no cool no she no she asked to see it, and we're trying to indoctrinate her to the more macabre movies. It was great, if you know, if you're an old school Beatlejuice fan, to tie up some you know, old stories. No spoilers, of course, but it was great. I loved it. I just thought it was. It was very funny. It was good, good stuff.

Speaker 1

Good. Yeah, I'll probably give it a look see very good. Yeah. Well other than that, other than me being angry, I started watching All Out a dub all Out saw the first match. That's all I saw, and I didn't read spoilers. I didn't want to know anything because I'm going to watch the rest of tonight. I know everybody loves my in depth analysis, but you're not going to get it today. But the first match was really really good. It was Danny Garcia and MJF and it was really good, really

good opener. They worked their asses off, so I enjoyed that. So I'm moving forward to just hanging out. And again, I would like beverage watching All Out? Is that too much to ask? Just one beverage?

Speaker 3

Shit?

Speaker 2

I mean, you haven't specified with the beverages I want.

Speaker 1

I want different. Well, I guess I could drink, but I don't like it. You can drink like Vokka, like clear. I don't like that stuff. I need whiskey. Give me some fireball, Light me up, give me my beer so I could burp through the whole segment. I just you know, there's certain things I like. I like certain cottails.

Speaker 2

And she can burn folks. I'm just gonna say it, she can burn.

Speaker 1

Well, I'm a lady, but sometimes.

Speaker 2

I've heard it on the show. Done the drinking.

Speaker 1

We're gonna do it again. I think we should do it again. When once my sea boat calms down.

Speaker 2

Me the time and a place when pull it out.

Speaker 1

The time is now, The time is right now.

Speaker 2

I will go upstairs.

Speaker 4

I'll go to the.

Speaker 1

Liquor store right now. I will be back.

Speaker 2

You know where mind is? I got it right up the I.

Speaker 1

Said to my husband the other day, our liquor cabinet's looking very sad. It's very sad. And I said, look at this. What is this? Because we're not big drinkers here, you know, but I like to party a little bit. I never do. I liked.

Speaker 2

I'm liking this. Let's go.

Speaker 1

You know, it's been a long time.

Speaker 2

Yeah, I like it.

Speaker 1

It's been a long time and and it's like, what's what's up with this liquor cabin is? He just looked at me and then I was like yeah and said nothing. And then I was like, do we have any wine? We have no wine dry. It's like, what's that month? October's dry? November or no shave November.

Speaker 2

What's the drive, mollain, I'm not sure.

Speaker 1

I don't even know, man, But that's twenty four to seven, twenty four hours a day, seven days a week, twelve months a year dry. There's nothing in here. I might have to just go on my own and be like I'm gonna get some of this, this and this, because you.

Speaker 2

Get wine anywhere around here.

Speaker 1

So I would like a nice glass of wine, a nice bottle of my not your father's, and a nice tall glass of fireball on the rocks, all three of them right next to me. Let's go, Let's just do it, right's go.

Speaker 2

I'm ready put my screwdrivers right here, I'll pull them out.

Speaker 1

You know what I'm going to drink. I'm gonna drink water, because that's all I drink water.

Speaker 2

That's it right there.

Speaker 1

I'm so not fun.

Speaker 2

Yeah, we did reach here.

Speaker 1

I'm the worst whatever, But anyway, I did start watching the pin from you. I'm going to watch the rest. I highly suggest you at least check out the first match because it was really really good. Mjfter is so much better as a hell oh yeah, I like him so much better?

Speaker 5

Is he?

Speaker 1

I've said that? But really good stuff? What else? Oh? You know what I wanted to tell you. I should have told you before. There's a trailer out for the McMahon thing. Did you see it?

Speaker 2

Yes? Yes, I was gonna bring.

Speaker 1

I wanted to do a first look with you.

Speaker 2

Okay. I have some very strong feelings about this that I was saying. I was going to tweet something about this.

Speaker 1

Can we can we put it on now?

Speaker 2

Absolutely? So I was giving.

Speaker 1

Myself I'm not going to watch this until I go on air. And I should have told you not to watch it so we can react together. But I'll just react because I again, it's been in my inbox and I refuse to open it.

Speaker 2

Yeah, for the show, I'm just gonna say this. I won't share my full reaction, but I was gonna say I saw Shelly Martinez his tweet about it, right, and I was tempted to reply to it with my response, and I was like, I cannot respond to it in this tweet. I have to save it for here obviously. Okay, what did.

Speaker 1

She Can I know what she tweeted? Or should I wait till after?

Speaker 2

I'll wait. No, I'll pull hers up too.

Speaker 1

Okay, Yeah, because I said to myself, do I watch it? And then I now I'm gonna wait because I have a feeling it's going to be a doozy. Do you have it? Do you need me to send it?

Speaker 2

I'll get it. I got it, Yeah, I had. I had it on my list too to talk about. And I just think that this, you know, we talked about it's official relaunching on the last episode, but now this is this is a doozy right here?

Speaker 1

And when does this start?

Speaker 2

Do we know twenty was it twenty fifth?

Speaker 1

Okay, so we have some time?

Speaker 2

Yeah, we have some time? All right, here we go, mister Nickmayon.

Speaker 3

People wondered, what really am you know? PORTRAYALVI on the back eye, But no one really knows me in the world of professional wrestling. Man, he's hasy to hate what you expect. I don't fight there. That's exactly what you're going to get.

Speaker 1

Billionaire.

Speaker 3

Hell, everyone, welcome to all American wrestling.

Speaker 2

When I bought my dad's business, my vision was to make this mainstream welcome to work. All the that's created this huge empire, billion dollar entertainment juggernaut.

Speaker 3

He did things and no one thought were possible. Everything he did the gold.

Speaker 2

There were so many scandals going on.

Speaker 1

On trial for steroids. The wrestlers are on steroids.

Speaker 2

Another dead.

Speaker 3

Rocked the very foundation in the WW. I would accept no responsibility whatsoever.

Speaker 1

None whatsoever.

Speaker 2

They lived this life ste breaking news.

Speaker 3

Vince McMahon is stepping aside the.

Speaker 1

Lawsuit accusing him of countless depraved and humiliating acts. I didn't think the lawsuit can shock me, and I was floored.

Speaker 3

When it comes to Vince a lot of them as a character, he's going to show you what he wants you to see. The lines of reality are very blurred in our business. The individual loses all sense of who they really are.

Speaker 2

My name is not sense, my name is mister McMahon.

Speaker 1

Wow. That was powerful. That was very powerful. Huh. First of all, I like the fact that they're including what's going on with the lawsuit, that they're not sugarcoating this to be just a positive piece that they're going to relive maybe some of the scandals to show that he wasn't a perfect person, so to speak. Did you see that they did reach out to Janelle Grant for yes words? And I don't know if she declined or not, if

she's a part of it. I didn't see that. I just heard that they reached out to her.

Speaker 2

Yeah, so.

Speaker 1

It pequked my interest for sure. But man, does he look sadistic in that shot where he's leaning over and he's just oof. That's scary stuff. I mean, you don't know what to say. We all know the type of person that he has turned out to be. If true, I have to say allegedly. I hate saying that, but allegedly you know.

Speaker 6

Right, God, he just looks like a person that you don't want to deal with ever in your life.

Speaker 2

In my opinion, Yeah, well, let's see who we saw. We saw the Rock, we saw Hall Cogan, we saw called Steve Austin Triple H. I think we saw in there too, right, Brett Hard, I remember what I said. He has to Brett Hart will probably be one of the first guys to go on the burial side, we would think, right, Bruce Pritchard, you know known Vince Defender. Right, So there's six guys right there, good talking heads to have.

Speaker 1

Oh, John Cena.

Speaker 2

John Cena watched It was a great John Cea movie last night. So that's seven guys right there, talking heads.

Speaker 3

Yep.

Speaker 1

I mean, you know who's who's going to be the cheerleader and who's going to be gloom and doom.

Speaker 2

Oh he's totally gonna be now, you know. And and I could see I could see Hogan kind of go on both sides.

Speaker 1

He might. I don't know. Again, I feel like a lot of people won't say anything against him because they're afraid there they don't know if he still has his hand in anything behind the scenes, you know what if I don't get my Legends deal or whatever. I just think a lot of people are gonna just be tight lipped about it.

Speaker 5

Me.

Speaker 1

I don't care either way it is. I have nothing to lose.

Speaker 2

I completely agree.

Speaker 1

Yeah, what was Shelley's tweet?

Speaker 2

So then I saw this my other day, I logged into Twitter. Yes, if you will, I saw this picture. It says miss it says uh mister McMahon. Netflix doc said to be an absolute double shovel burial of Vince McMahon. Some people in w WE not happy about it. Via Conrad Thompson on keeping it one hundred podcasts. So interesting person to comment on that, right, Yeah, So who's he connected to?

Speaker 1

Conrad is connected to Rick Flair Flair and Charlotte Chirs Pritchard.

Speaker 2

Right, So does he have inside word? Does he kind of know what's coming? Has he seen it as he previewed it?

Speaker 3

Right?

Speaker 2

He might be the kind of guy they want to show it to before they put it out there. But your assessment of it at the end there, your last comments are exactly where my brain went. And then I saw it because then I saw who shared it and it was Shelley. Shelley said, it's all a work. When will you all learn? And That's where I'm at with it. This is a WWE documentary, No it is not, but it is. This is completely This is a talking WWE talking head documentary, the same thing we've seen a million times.

They're just gonna make it a little more spicy and give you a couple more of the hotter stories that they haven't touched on before. It's gonna make this guy just he's gonna they're gonna show you the good, they're gonna show you the bad, and they're gonna make him a sympathetic figure at the end, and they're gonna have all the people say the good things and a couple of people say the bad things. I am not surprised with what I saw. This is a complete WWE inside job.

Speaker 1

So that's what I said when we first reported that they were going to do this. I said, if this is going to be one of the shows that is backed by that company, I don't want to watch it because it's going to be the McMahon timeline. It's going to show us all the accomplishments what they did. It's going to rehash, you know, the scandals, but not really deeply diving into them, you know what I mean, Just like overplant whatever. I don't want to see that. I

want to see from a different perspective. I don't want to see him being protected. And if that's what this is, if this is just a fluff piece of him being protected, I'm not interested. Now the thing we just watched, the preview we just watched, that makes me want to watch it. Oh yeah, So if I'm a Mark I'm a mark, so be it, you know. But if I watch it and get disappointed, I'm gonna be like, Wow, what a

waste of my time. I'm gonna give it my time obviously, because everybody and their mother who's involved in the world of professional wrestling is going to watch this doc Am I going to be disappointed? Maybe? I don't know. I can't judge until I see it. I'm hoping that it's not one of these things that protect him, Like you just said, I don't want to see him as a sympathetic babyface at the end, because he's not one. He's not. I mean, how can you justify that?

Speaker 2

No, there's no way. So but hang on, what's the difference between that and this a WWE produced into McMahon documentary that they did in two thousand and six that's gonna tell his story, tell you a couple bad things and all the good things, with a few talking heads in between like Stone Cold, Steve Austin and Haul Cogan and John Cena and the Rock Patruple Age and Bruce Pritchard. It's the same documentary, just updated with the bad stuff. I mean, it's exactly the same story. I mean, this

is horseshit. That's exactly what. When I saw that trailer, I go, Okay, it's gonna have a couple curse words, it's gonna have some salacious stuff with the ring boys and the stuff from the last couple of months. But it is exactly this DVD that was released eighteen years ago.

Speaker 1

Yeah, and that's not something that I'm interested in, to be honest with you, I don't want to see that again. I'm hoping they put a spin on it and dive a little deeper and get different talking heads than they've already had, because, you know the same most of those guys are still company guys. They're not you don't ship where you eat. Do you ever hear that expression? It's

a gross expression, but it plays out well in this scenario. Right, Like, if I am a representative of WWE or have any ties to that company, I am not going to say a single bad word about anybody there. I'm either not gonna say anything or I'm gonna support whoever or whatever they're doing. Right So, these talking heads are mainly McMahon guys,

and they're they're not gonna bury him. You know, They're gonna either put him over for his past work, which he should be praised for because he's he changed the industry. Now we can't forget that whether he's this you know devil that everybody's saying he is with this case, if it's true. Again, we don't know if it's true or false. I have to say LESTI you know, but if I'm going to watch this, I don't want to hear about the accolades because I've heard it all before. I know

what the man accomplished, I know his timeline. I want to know about things that we're not supposed to know about. I want to hear from people that have kept their cool, that have kept their mouth shut, and now for the first time, they're going to say their piece about this man. That's what I.

Speaker 2

Write, see exactly, because then remember I had said, okay, what about the you know Shane, David Schaltz, Jesse Ventra, you know nails who attacked him backstage. We don't want them to comment on this DVD or this documentary either, because they're just going to go super negative and they're going to go they don't like the guys, so they're going to bury him. But then the other guys they have this on this documentary, So just looking at the

surface could go all positive. So you're you're exactly right. We want to find the medium in the middle, the people that haven't spoken yet.

Speaker 1

Yeah, it's going to be good cop, bad cop all the way, But how bad are the bad cops going to be?

Speaker 2

Right?

Speaker 1

Because it's just going to be the same mumble jumble we've heard fifty million times. Or is it going to be something that I'm going to be like, oh my gosh, I never heard that story or I never heard it from that perspective. Yeah, you know, so again, I'm going to give it a go because why wouldn't I. I think everybody is.

Speaker 3

But I.

Speaker 1

Have a tendency to be let down by these pieces, and I am really not going to hold my breath in thinking it's going to be something mind blowing, right, you know, I'm sure it's a well put together piece, but how much of it do I already know? Probably a lot.

Speaker 2

I completely agree, And I'm the same way with you. I want to I hope I'm wrong. I want it literally, I'll eat my hat. I want to be wrong with this whole thing. Yeah, these Netflix documentaries are supposed to be good. I mean, we just watched Scott Peterson one that was we already know the whole Scott Peterson story, but it was great the way they presented it, so presented different. So make sure. Maybe your trailer was just bad.

Maybe they just put together a trailer that just kind of told us the basic nuts and bolts that we all know. Maybe this documentary is gonna blow us all away. I just hope that it's it. I just hope it's different than what I'm expecting.

Speaker 1

If they could have got Janelle Grant and had an empty chair yah, and let her walk and sit down and have somebody like her and just a voice off camera saying are you ready? And she just and then they stop it.

Speaker 2

Yeah, are you ready to?

Speaker 1

That would have got me. That would have got me.

Speaker 2

It would have got everybody been like this, Yes.

Speaker 1

But maybe they didn't get her. Maybe, like I said, her lawyer told her, it's not the best move for you right now. You really shouldn't open your mouth, you know what I mean? Like that would have made it so much better. But we have to wait and see.

Speaker 2

I mean, where's Jerry mcdividd Is he speaking on this?

Speaker 3

You know?

Speaker 2

Is is Vince's Wall team gonna be a part of this and go in the nuts and bolts, and everybody goes after him because of X, Y and Z. I mean, we're gonna get that side. Are we just gonna get the same old blah blah blah blah blah and set up and get this guy. And they went down and he fought the odds and YadA, YadA, YadA, and they can't separate mister McMahon from the real guy. And oh we did this on TV and the Stephanie incest angle

on the pregnancy and blah blah blah. It's the same stuff now because of this is why fans can't separate reality from the work, and it's this is not helping.

Speaker 1

Well, you're you. You would hope, because it is not a WW produced piece, you would hope they would go in a different direction or a different angle. So I mean, all we can do is watch and see if we're right or wrong.

Speaker 2

I hope I'm wrong.

Speaker 1

I hope I'm wrong too, because I mean I would really enjoy something different happening with this whole McMahon saga. But again, who knows. We're just gonna have to watch it and see. So we got a couple more weeks to wait. Absolutely, yeah, but I'm gonna watch. I'm gonna watch, and we'll let you know.

Speaker 2

Definitely. Absolutely. Well, let's take somebody who's in that documentary and comment on that. But we'll do that. We will come back from this break and get into him momentarily, and we're back.

Speaker 1

Okay. So you say you have somebody string up.

Speaker 2

Oh yeah, Okay, you can't tell from the music. You can't hear that music that I'm.

Speaker 1

Playing in your head. No, I don't know.

Speaker 2

Music I'm playing right under us right now. You can't hear that. No, Okay, that's the beauty of post production right now, our good old buddy, one of our favorites. Of just talking about him, I mentioned him in the last segment we saw him on the screen, Hulk Hogan in the news. It's not for anything political, So please don't say anything bad.

Speaker 1

Don't come at me, bruh, No.

Speaker 2

Don't come in anything negative. This is.

Speaker 1

To be honest with you.

Speaker 2

He made an epic appearance on Logan Paul's podcast this past week, and there's like six stories coming out of it. But we're gonna like pinpoint a few of them. Okay, have you had a chance to see anything that's come out of this show.

Speaker 1

I didn't even know he was on the podcast.

Speaker 2

So no, okay, Well he was on Logan Paul's Impulsive podcast, and hul Cogan claims that he never pulled the creative control card while in WCW to include Bash at the Beach two thousand, which I swear to God, I'd never want to hear about this show ever again for the rest of my life.

Speaker 1

So isn't that the one where Russo actually came on our show and talked about it a little bit and was yes, yeah, okay. So that's funny because.

Speaker 5

There are so many people who say that Hogan always used that clause that was in his contract that said he had creative control the last say of what happens with his character.

Speaker 1

And you mean to tell me he never used it one time while he was there.

Speaker 2

Come on, no, never once.

Speaker 1

I don't believe that.

Speaker 2

I'm sorry, I can't again. I'll be a Hulk Hogan defender when it comes to wrestling all the time. I couldn't even believe this one.

Speaker 1

He has dementia, No forgetting stuff like what's up with that?

Speaker 2

No? I just think he sees it one way in his head. I think it's just Hulk Hogan's world in his head, and it's always train and say prayers, each vitamins all day long. Is always the good guy. So I don't think that he.

Speaker 1

Sees Paul say back to him like is he privy to like you know what happened back then?

Speaker 2

Or yeah, logan, Paul kind of exposes himself when he has these guys on a little bit. So I don't have the exact verbiage in front of me. I'm trying to bring that up as we're talking, But I mean, how many more times are we going to hear about Bash at the beach and the Hogan heel turn? But now it's like, oh, I wasn't gonna do the heel turn. It's like, I don't think it's dementia. I think he just sees it a certain way in his head.

Speaker 1

Well, I mean, we'll never know, I guess. But there's so many people that say he fabricates the truth and then he comes back and is like no, no, no, It's like who do you believe? Okay, maybe one or two people, but there's ninety seven thousand people saying he's a liar.

Speaker 2

Right exactly. Remember Bischaff said on the what do you call that but dark Side about Starcade that Hogan vehemently said, We're not losing to Sting tonight. Brother, I'm not doing it because thing doesn't have the passion. I see it. He can't. You know, he's not going over it after all that stuff, and they had to come up with that convoluted finish to keep him strong. Yeah maybe maybe, yeah.

Speaker 1

Maybe he believes that that's not utilizing his power. He's just having a conversation, you think.

Speaker 2

I don't know, I don't know, he's he can He just comes up with doozies left and right. But again, Logan Paul, He's got these great guests because of who he is. But you know, sometimes he exposes his wrestling acumen, like when did he become a fan? You know, when did he start watching? You know? What does he know about the business? Is he just in it because he's

athletic and he started watching at some point. So I'm going to pull up a clip that's from the podcast that I just I think it's funny and I would love to hear your take on it from now a guy who's making millions and millions of dollars from professional wrestling.

Speaker 1

Uh huh.

Speaker 2

So Hogan's starting to tell him a story, right, and he's says something about uh making money, and the two guys just take take a look at this.

Speaker 3

What you got to realize, bro, this is not a work? Okay, this is a shoot? What the business is a shoot? Everybody's going to tell you it's a work. It's not a work. What do you mean the business is a shoot?

Speaker 2

Don't I don't know.

Speaker 3

If if I wrestle you right now and Thence pays you a million bucks and he pays me five million, is not a work or a shoot?

Speaker 1

I don't know.

Speaker 2

I don't think I know that.

Speaker 3

I shoot? What is I know? What work?

Speaker 2

What does your shoot? He's not he's serious, Yeah, I'm I'm fucking with you.

Speaker 3

Okay, thank you. No, he's not. He's not. He's not. You're embarrassing.

Speaker 2

Okay, that's fine. How about this? Can you explain it to our audience at home quickly? That doesn't understand. I just he's gonna explain to the audience.

Speaker 4

Logan knows what it means, but maybe just audience.

Speaker 1

What the hell did I just watch?

Speaker 2

He has no clue what hulkster's talking about.

Speaker 1

He doesn't do what a shoot means.

Speaker 2

He has no clue. Could you explain what the Hulkster just said to Logan Paul?

Speaker 1

If I'm making five million and you're making one million.

Speaker 2

Not just shoot.

Speaker 1

First of all, like, uh, it would be good for me and bad for you, And there would probably be something brought up in the back, uh, in the real world about why is there a discrepancy of four million dollars when we're both in the main event, and do I have more star power than you have? Quite possibly? A shoot is real life, A shoot is real. A work is a fake thing. You know, it's a work, it's not real. A shoot is a real thing. There would be a fallout over that discrepancy, right.

Speaker 2

Yeah, he has no freaking clue what Hogan's talking about. Though, Well, I mean, this guy's been on the last two WrestleManias. He has no idea.

Speaker 1

Eighty five billion zillion dollars and doesn't even care what anyone else is making.

Speaker 2

He had no clue and he was just listening to him like uh huh yeah, and then Hogan goes it kind of dipped out when he saying, goes, you bullshitted me, Like Hogan was dead serious and he's like no, no, no, no, no, I'm messing with you. And then the guy's like, no, you're not. He totally the spot. He had no clue what he was talking about. But oh my god, like I just couldn't believe that, Like nobody sat him down.

It was like basic terms, one oh one millionaire WWE superstar who has all these things now affwarded to him because of your association with wrestling, Like, we're just gonna tell you the basics so you don't sound like just blithering idiot. You're in the presence of somebody like Hulk hogin see.

Speaker 1

I would have been like, yeah, but you're Haul Cogan, so you're gonna get more money than Joe Schmoe because you brought him to the dance right Like I would have. I would have picked it apart and explained why Haul Cogan was getting more money than the other guy, just because I guess I know the business better than Logan Paul. I don't know. I don't know.

Speaker 2

I just I thought that was the confused I.

Speaker 1

Mean, just understand though, how many times that's happened in real life. One guy would make so much more than the ath in the main event. That's why you never tell anybody what you're making. These guys that are braggadocious and I'm making this amount and this amount, and I mean, if it's leaked, all right, but don't tell anybody what

you're getting. Ever. I never talked about money because I was making more than some of the guys were and I knew it, and I knew I was going to get heat, so I just kept my big maul.

Speaker 2

Shut without using names for no heat whatsoever. Have you ever seen it? Have you ever seen it backstage where it turned into a ball between guys for money in a main event, or them talking about it, or get somebody talking about it or bragging and somebody having to take them outside or something new. No own the business.

Speaker 1

No, not in ECW. I didn't know, but I know there were discrepancies. I know certain people were making more than others and it really wasn't fair. But it's the deal that you work out, right, it's you and your boss. You can't be blamed for getting X amount of dollars. If you don't like what you're making, go to the boss and say I need more money. It's as simple

as that. And if he doesn't give it to you, you either tuck your tail between your legs and continue or you go somewhere else where you can make more money, right, you know, you never you can't blame the talent, like we talked about with Swerve with that huge deal, who can blame him? Get your money? Anybody blaming him is just jealous, you know. Like if I was offered that, oh my god, thank you, yes please, you know, and my my lips would have been sealed. I'm not saying

that he went around telling people because stuff leaks. I get it. And this day and age, nothing is secret. You can't keep a secret. Everybody finds out your personal business, you know. But back in the day, like you only heard about what people made is if they told you. And I had people come up to me saying, well, I'm only making this amount of money, and that's when I'm just like, oh crap, I'm making double what you're making. And you're a dude, And if I open my mouth,

I'm I'm gonna be in trouble, you know. But then Paul would tell me who's in the main event every every show, right, you know, who's on top every show because I felt bad and I was just like, I'm not open my mind, and I never did. I never told to anyone what I made. So it's just you have to deal with yourself and get yourself over and if you don't fight for what you think you deserve,

you're not going to get it. Point blank. But logan Paul doesn't care because he was a millionaire before he started, so what does he care? He smartened up to this, no, I mean, if he's going to talk about it and have a podcast, he should be. But he doesn't get I'm telling you he doesn't care what other people make. He's rich. If I was rich and went into something, and I wouldn't care either. I don't really think. I mean, I don't know the kid, but I don't really think

he's doing it for the money. I think he's doing it because he just enjoys doing it.

Speaker 2

Day. He woke up one day and he was like, you know, but does he need the money?

Speaker 1

Does he need this money? Wasn't he a billionaire before or a millionaire before he started?

Speaker 2

Oh? Yeah, well then there you go.

Speaker 1

He's not fighting with anyone because so and so sold the more T shirts than he did. He doesn't care. Maybe just let him flip flop around and call it a day, you know. I think it's kind of endearing that he didn't know what it meant. He's not tarnished by the business.

Speaker 2

Yeah, it's a good point. That is a good point, you know, And maybe that the guys aren't kind of jading him by telling him a lot of stuff maybe, you know, or.

Speaker 1

Not telling him. They're not telling him anything, you know, because.

Speaker 2

Yeah, maybe he'd be paranoid.

Speaker 1

He might be, you know, but I don't think. I don't really think it would benefit him to know, because he probably just doesn't care. He's rich, bitch.

Speaker 2

But also too, this could also be because the guys don't hang out in the locker rooms. They all got buses.

Speaker 1

Oh yes, some of them do, right, right.

Speaker 2

So maybe that's it. I mean, maybe these guys could benefit from hanging out in the locker room talking about the business.

Speaker 1

Sometimes it's better not to know. It keeps his nose clean. He doesn't get in trouble, you know what I mean, He can't talk dirt on anyone, Like, sometimes it's just better to be oblivious. I feel, right, So I don't know, I don't blame him for not knowing. I don't think he's dumb. Look at him. He's on top of the world. He's a smart kid, you know. But if you're going to do a podcast, maybe you know maybe, I mean, he probably didn't know that Hogan was going to bring

that up like that. But you know, when when I was in ECW and they would try to talk Carney to me, I'd be lost and I would get heat for it. I can't believe you don't know Carne. I'm like, dude, that English is my first language. I'm so sorry. There were certain words that I knew in Arnie that I could pass by the skin of my teeth. I could pass by in a conversation, but I'd be lost with it by the second third sentence. It sounded like gibberish to me, and I never knew what the hell anyone

was talking about. Could have been burying me for all I now, sitting there like, yeah, I had no clue.

Speaker 2

So so you didn't score high on the Carney section of the S A T. S.

Speaker 1

No Man, I failed Parny one in one for sure.

Speaker 2

Well that was that was My favorite story of the week was Logan Paul The Work. The Work in the shoote.

Speaker 1

The work in the shoot all right, Well again, I don't think Logan Paul cares, so why should we?

Speaker 2

By Hulk Hogan's Real American Beer with proudly displayed in the picture of this video that that I was watching along with the Prime bottles. It was like a battle for who was going to advertise their their drink more, the Real American Beer or the Prime bottle.

Speaker 1

I watched real quick. Theo Vonne is now my favorite comedian that ever lived, and I've been binge watching his podcast stuff on YouTube and he was talking to I guess Logan Paul's partner in Prime and he was like, Yo, he's like my nephew or something. I forget who it was. He's like, I don't know if he was nine or eight, because he drinks two and a half of those bro every time. He was the bed right before Betty's drinking

that shot. And the guy's like really, And I'm like, I thought it was an energy drink, Like, are he supposed to drink those before.

Speaker 2

You get Yeah, that's terrible.

Speaker 1

He's like eight years old, you know. He's like he loves that shit, dude, he loves it. And the guy's like, Oh, I was like, that's just great, you know, but man, if you have not watched theovonn he's one funny dude radio.

Speaker 2

Yeah. I never got into his his like single show, but I used to listen to many pop on the radio.

Speaker 1

This podcast is gold. And the only reason I knew who he was is because I'm an old school fan of road rules, real world stuff. So when I saw that he was a famous comedian, I was just like, no way. I looked him up and now I just sit there by myself and giggle. He's so freaking funny man. But the prime thing came up and he's like, yeah, he's eight years old. He drinks like two and a half bottles every night.

Speaker 2

That is not good.
