Dr. Barbara Horn (AOA President) - Effective Communication With Our Patients And The Public

Barbara L. Horn, O.D., was elected as a trustee to the American Optometric Association Board in June 2011 and elected President in June, 2019. 

Dr. Horn is a graduate of the Michigan College of Optometry at Ferris State University and a past president of the Michigan Optometric Association (MOA). Dr. Horn is currently a member of the South Carolina Optometric Association and an associate member of the Michigan Optometric Association.   

In 2018 she received the South Carolina Optometric Physicians association OD of the year and in 2011 she was the MOA's Optometrist of the Year.  Dr. Horn also received the AOA's Young Optometrist of the Year award in 2006 and the MOA's Young Optometrist of the Year award in 2005.

Dr. Horn is in a group practice in South Carolina.
