One of the d backs, Uh, the Sons are getting ready to start their season, how things are going there, and then uh, they say, Kyler Murray's gonna play, he's getting ready to start practicing, and they're they're they're doing whatever. There's called the step up that he needs to take to be able to come back and play. So starting it's not like he mam actually

play this season, So excuse me. We'll talk about all those things with and you know what, Jody, you know what kind of difference it'll make? Not a damn thing. But I will see. You don't see what. Jody likes him, right, Jody doesn't know. I think that doesn't Mamamananonman likes him. Jody doesn't. I don't know. Jody doesn't like anything. We'll see it. He's liking the Diamondbacks right now. Oh yeah, No, he didn't want to love Alla fired after the All Star break like

everybody else too. I don't know. I'll recheck that. And that was ugly last night, wasn't. It got so bad that I changed the channel to watch a repeat of Dateline. Oh man just stopped murder that one? Yeah, just yeah, Well, I said, if I'm gonna see somebody get killed, I want to see somebody really got Yeah, So I switched it over to Dateline h last night. But uh, that was a beatdown. That was a beatdown. So us so Jody A will be coming on

here about three fifteen, three twenty and then Jeff Hammerschmid. I I brought him up, Steve because I feel like we need to talk about the Dwayne and Keena fact, because that well, because what's different other than it's a second year under Johnny Nansen. What else is different about the staff? Yes, no, well let me tell you if you remember the podcast the last time we had Hammer on when he didn't cuss, uh that one. Uh

he he predicted something like this that they would be very good. And it's a combination, like Jed said, right, a combination of all of them. But I think a big influence, a huge influence from comes from between. And then you know, we're reading that that you know, they made this little tweak to their defense. That is something that they were going back. You know that that defense back when Desert Swarm was was in its heyday,

and so that was that wasn't that mentioned in in Brushki's discussion. Oh that's the flexure and and and and they actually, you know, did did a little tweak to the defense. And and they you know again fifty seven touchdown passes by the last three quarterbacks they faced, and only one of those against Arizona. So, uh, it's a it's pretty crazy that just like that, you know, and that we're sitting here and you know, you know, the two stories of the of the season right now are at the

quarterback situation obviously, and then the defense and what it's doing. Yeah, I talk to Hammer about what kudos, you know what all that you know from his experience, you know, he's also been a coach. How does that happen? Right? And I just hope he doesn't cuss. He knows he's got he got double secrets, has the instructions. I'll have my finger on the dump button, yes immediately, but uh uh, it would be

fun to talk to Hammer. And it's it's like real busy time. I mean I I sleep a little now and I do so many things, which is bad. You do a lot of things. Well, you got all the up four stuff going, and I've got a month from today, but you have we have a game on Friday, Friday, Friday Saturday. Luckily there's nothing to do, which is great. Makes me catch up for the weekend and then next week another week, when's that? Okay, so Friday, and then when's the next exhibition game? So then uh so then they

play again on Monday. That well, let me let me go back a week here I'm doing. Please give us some rest a second. Okay, So so you got you got an exhibition game Friday. Then next week really nothing just the just the Oregon State game. No, no basketball games.

Then the following week you got the men on Monday you got another you got the u c l A game, and then and then women's basketball is going to kick in with their ex when's the first game of the season, regular first men's game of the season, regular season, the real game, uh November sixth against Morgan State. And then they had to do and then they go to Duke right after they one game and then they go to do that's

a quickie, that's a quickie test. So they got New Mexico Highlands and an exhibition on the thirtieth, and then then they're off for a week open with Morgan State on Monday sixth, and then Friday the tenth, they're at Duke. No to everybody on the tenth, we won't be having a show. Steve's off to Duke. I'm off to Vegas for a weekend of football prognosticating. Hey, some of the best years I've had on that trip have been during my worst years of picks. You mean, but this is my

worst year of that pool. There are Steve, there there are one thousand and fifty seven in the pool. I'm in a thousand and forty seventh place. Okay, okay, well let's clarify that too, And then how many of people below you have kind of given up, I say, by not doing the thing anymore? Five of the ten, so out of one hundred. So so there's only five people below me who have made all their picks.

That's my point. Yeah, another fight that I have given and then another five who have, yeah, just kind of given up or do they make them once in a while? Yeah, yeah, who's that to you? There's a person in the pool who got a perfect week, and that week she got two more points than I have. Right now, I have four points in seven weeks. That's not very good. So four thirty five, there's thirty seven weeks. Okay. Let me tell you. We used to keep track of this back in the day. The record the record low

score for somebody who made all their picks in the season. It's twenty. Oh you're on a pace that may not Oh I'm not even close to the page. The only thing I'm hoping is that those guys are blow me stay there so that it's not me. Twenty points in a nineteen week season. Really, that's twenty and I'm at four after seven, so there's nothing to be got to. You gotta average at least one, and I'm not averaging one have. I like it though. I like it though because I know

you like it. It's it's a crushing below. I know it's bad. Bad anyways, Enough about me, but okay some anyway, Jeff hammersmid Jodyayler. Today we'll talk some football and then some Phoenix sports. As you saying, a lot going on. You know, women's constantly started. When's that start? Said that the first week in November as well with exhibition. Oh that's just exhibition in November right right there there. The women have Oh god,

I took the calendar off my schedule. I took the calendar off because they they just yesterday put all the times on all the games. So they might actually start a little earlier than that. Steve, I don't know. I would assume. So if the guys are kind of around the corner, and then tomorrow's media day, which so we can't make Yeah, we're just gonna have to skip that. You can't make time. It's it's it's kind of a short media day night even over blown media day. Okay, I'm

sure, Bruce he's only got ten minutes with us in our show. Oh, a week from today, a week from today, the Women's excellent. Okay, yeah that West Texas A and M. Yeah, it's gonna be busy. It's it's gonna be busy. Ye yeah, they've got they play at six o'clock a week from today, and then a week after that, Yeah, another exhibition and then uh then they're they're off and running. November

six, their first game at MIX. So you know, I can hear the people listening saying, busy, you guys get to go to Yeah, come on, you guys have dream job, dream job I got. I got told that a lot the year that I was covering the Final four. Yea, And they don't talk about I don't talk about the other stuff, the eighty hours you work to get to that game. So I wrote a column about that and got a letter to the editor to Michael Lamone. He was pissed at pissed it because I told him the truth. I told the

people the truth. Everyone thinks I told I told you this story. We had. We had the Easter Sunday breakfast or dinner at at Hooters because that was the only thing that was open at ten o'clock after finishing twelve stories. It's not a lie, that's true. Which okay was you know? Yeah, okay, yeah, but it was Sunday. Yeah yeah, come on, I made sure to say the receipt. Yeah. No, it's no, it's people have no idea. I know, they don't know what we're doing. Yeah, no, no, okay, so that's cool. What

else is the World Series? Well you might have say that for breaking news because you have nothing. Yeah. Well, yeah you got that. Well you got the you know, the Diamondbacks got mashed again last night. Yeah. I didn't watch it. I didn't watch you which just want to I'm not interested in that, in that stuff. Uh, because let's say, as soon it's gonna be the Rangers, Rangers and the and the Phillies. Okay, if you have told you this in March or April, are you

watching this? Yeah, I'm not. I'm not all that interested in the Rangers and the and the Phillies and the Phillies. And maybe it's more and more because of the Rangers than the Phillies. I don't know any of the Rangers. Yeah, and the Phillies you do, because there you have some you know, Yeah. You know a few those guys you were talking about, we're talking about them that you know, how are they so good?

And it's like we're saying, they're just a bunch of dogs, you know, they're kind of griny, kind of in the dirt kind of guys, and they just kick your ass right and and you know, they don't even ask and they have do they have nice uniforms for you? The new firms are good? Okay. I've always liked the Phillies uniforms, you know, I don't like the Rangers. The Rangers kind of you know, the Phillies. You know, they sometimes they break out the powder Blue road in m

that I think are really cool. I've always thought those, I've always thought those were neat uniforms. So, you know, I you know what it's like. I'll read. You know, I'm still in the end, I'm still a naturally guy. Even if it's the Diamondbacks in the World Series. I'll read for the Diamondbacks and I'll read for the Phillies. I don't know if I'll put any money on it or anything. If I don't know if I'll be interested enough to put any money on it, But you know,

I'll watch some of it. If it's art like tonight, you know there's a Rangers, I'll probably watch that to hate on the Astros, you know, hope they go down to me nothing, hoping they get swept, yeah, which could have very well happened. Yeah, or they can come back. I mean, they're pretty good team, except that they're not playing well or Phillies or the Phillies are playing better or not feelings Rangers are playing better.

Yeah, it's hard for me because I know that the Astros are in the American League and I don't even know when they went to the American League, but to me, they're a National League team from back in my day. You know, back in our day, always were out you know, they were rival of the Dodgers. They were in the next Dodgers and the Reds were in the National League West. Yeah, that's hard to explain to some of the some of the young kids to the days that guys, they

used to be two divisions. There were six teams in each division. There were totally twenty four teams. It was East and West at one time in our lifetime. In our lifetime, it was all one league. You had to win the league in the regular season to get and it was just a world series, you know, I remember that, right, you know. And and then then they split them up and the playoffs were you know, a five game series between the two division champions, and then they broke it

up even more than what we have today. So anyways, all right, so you know, again, as you said, man, busy, lots of lots of things going on in a lot of different directions. You got the road Runners are playing, the Coyotes are playing. Uh you got you know, all the all the all the u of a sports are overlapping, right. I see. Gymnastics is you know, getting ready to get started. You know, John Court and his people over there. You know,

we're really well in women's gymnastics at Arizona, you know. And then again the basketball teams, fall baseball, fall softball is on right now, you know, they're all playing games. Yeah, so crazy time, which is a good time. Job security beats well. You know what. What what was nice about COVID is that we could get people to talk to because they weren't doing anything. But there were no sports going on all that summer. It was kind of hard, you know, but you know, we got

through that. Too, So it's still kind of a hangover from that a little bit. Okay, maybe if you guys want to call, you can, probably not right now, but after our first guess, Jordan first got Jody Ale coming on here help us get today well again, we'll get through some of the Phoenix stuff. All you Diamondbacks man who are tired of hearing me bad mouth the Diamondbacks. I don't think Jody's going to bad mouth the Diamondbacks. I think he likes what's going on over there. He's been talking

This is I on the Ball with Steve Rivera and Jay Gonzalez on Fox Sports fourteen fifty. Hey, welcome back to your Eye on the Ball here on Fox Sports fourteen fifty. I'm Steve, He's Jake. You know, we got our guy, Jody Ayler from Phoenix nineten. How are you. I'm great, guys, how are you? We're doing well. Jake tracked you down. I wanted to get I'm thinking he likes the Diamondbacks, I said, Jody doesn't like anything. So where do you stand right now? Oh,

I mean the series is over more or less. You know, that's unfortunate, but it's been a great ride. The Diamondbacks have been one of the stories of baseball. But you know, they're running into a juggernaut. There's just a team in Philadelphia that's absolutely locked in. They're bigger, they're stronger, they're better. And you know, I've described this Diamondbacks season if people have followed it relatively closely, it's it's probably the weirdest Diamondbacks season ever.

At various points they were either great or terrible and just a lot of weird things going on. And I guess the only hope with your d Decks fan is the weirdest thing ever to cap up the weirdest season would be coming back in the series and somehow making it a six or seven game one, because right now it looks very heavily tilted in the Phillies fan, You're right, No, you're right, because they were hot, cold, hot again, and here they are. I mean, that was a massacre last night.

But you know, I mean, after what they did to the Dodgers, you just kind of got it. Even though the Phillies that you just know are really good, and when you saw what they did to the Braves, you know, you kind of expect going in, expect the Phillies to

take the series, but the Diamondbacks are really damn hot. You know, I went to the game three eight up in Phoenix with the Dodgers, and the best team on the field was the home team, and it was by a lot that night, And I'm a little surprised at what's happened in the series. Yeah, I think a lot of that has to do. And I'm not blaming this, but like they had four days off in between the series, and for a team like the Diamondbacks, I think that momentum was

hard to carry over in that gap. It's not a reason they're losing, but it's certainly something that didn't work in their favor. And then you know, the other thing is they just bat's got cold. They've started to kind of change what they did. They haven't run on the base pads at all. Coolby and Carroll let off both games by getting on first base and then was just left there to cook for three outs, which is just not the

Diamondbacks way. So I think this has been a learning experience for Tory levelo. I think it's been a learning experience for the team. And you know, there's a lot of things to look at that Phillies team and be like, Okay, well this is what we know. The standard is and this is where the franchise has to get better. Yeah, no question. I think though apod for the review, that this is one of those seasons that

you can say, this is a great thing to build on. It is, although I caution people and if they get swept and it's ugly the next two games, it just paints everything. It's like when the Cardinals made the NFC Championship Game twenty fifteen, twenty sixteen, like you don't remember that that was a really great run. You just remember that the Panthers humiliated them.

So they have to get competitive. That's really the new standard I was talking about this morning is you know, Brandon Fott's rookies on the non for Game three. I don't know if you guys have seen. Ticket prices are cheaper than spring training lawn tickets right now, which doesn't bode well for a great environments at two oh seven first pitch, and I think they just got to be competitive because right now, if you get blown out, people are going

to wonder what you were doing there in the first place. Yeah yeah, but I mean when you think about where they were after the All Star break, I mean everybody wanted a toy level of fire. They you know, they got flipped over by you know, by the Dodgers all of a sudden, they were it didn't even look like they were going to make the playoffs. When you think about where they were, you know, in July and August and where they've gotten to, I mean, how can you be unhappy

about anything? And even if they do get swept, well, no one likes to lose, you know. No, It's like, if you're the Dodgers, he won one hundred games, blah bla, oh blah, you got sweat. You're not happy with the season, you know. And I know there's different for different franchises, but I don't think the Diamondbacks are happy getting their butts kicked on the biggest stage in baseball. And I don't think

anyone is, you know. So I think, you know, if you talk to a sixteen feed in the tournament that loses by forty five, you know, Arizona, they're not going to be happy with that. But I think there's perspective in that you accomplish something, but you just you can't get dominated. Nobody wants to get dominated. And right now, the Diamondbacks coming off give you. Game one was competitive and the first few winnings of Game two were competitives, and they got to get back to that point and stop

this runaway freight train right now. And you know, here's here's a friendly tip to the Diamondbacks that anybody who's watched these games, I think, what second is just stop challenging the meat of the Phillies lineup with ninety four min hour fastballs, down home play. That'd be a good start that you would be. You know, you should be a scout. You should be a scout on the years and years of experience preparing for that kind of up comes. That redhead, don't listen to it, please, Hey, hey,

let's move to. Let's move to. Let's move to the positive side real quick. A lot of hope, a lot of happiness in the Sun's camp. Yeah, I mean, man, I've watched more preseason basketball than I've ever watched my life, and it's been rewarded. I mean, this team is ridiculous and it's gonna be fun and it's all gonna come down to health

in the postseason. But man, they are gonna put up point. You know, somebody compared them to the Steve Nash Suns, and what's crazy is if you look at the stats, those Steve Nash Sons now would be one of the slowest, most methodical offensive teams in the league. At the time they were a Supercharge, you know, Lamborghini. This this team looks and plays more stylistically like those Steve Nash led teams, even though they don't have a point guard. And I mean it is it's hard to deny the overwhelming

talent of KD. Booker and Bradley Beal when they're on the floor together. Yeah, you know, it's funny because you know, I was thinking the other day and I don't know if we last time we had you on an i've had you on since DeAndre Ayton got shipped out, I don't remember.

You know, My thinking was it, regardless of whether you thought DeAndre was doing a good job of bad jubb or whatever, just to hold DeAndre it ate an issue that was hanging over the sort of weighing down the team, and things like that can do that no matter who you've got, how good you are, when you have a like this big cloud over you, it drags things down. And that's gone and it seems like it's they've been released

from something. It's like it's like when I used to be down in Tucson covering U of A games and I'd beat Michale Center and Steve would be sitting next to me, and then every now and then, for whatever reason, Steve wouldn't show up to a U of A game, Like, man, be a great night tonight reaches the free and loose and you know, now the U I mean, yeah, you're one hundred percent right then. I think I think that DeAndre Ayton is just a net positive just not being on

the team. He's a talented player. We've talked about this over and over again, but really it's just a net positive. They don't have to deal with that drama. Yeah, all right, sight fake news, but greater great. You know, Jode, I was wondering those games when I was at the table, and it seemed like the vision was clearer, and you know there's a something had been lifted off the floor, like a film or

something. You know, we get we go into we know, down into the bottels and the Kale Center at halftime, you know there's Pepsi's on the table or whatever, and everybody'd be like, oh man, you have a big smile. Any fast he's not here, and then we'd all just high five. Well, wasn't how my kids feel the same way? At least they're consistent. Well, good for you, good for you. Well, a lot of excitement for the Suns. Let's move back to now, let's

move to the football. Yeah. So there's some news out on some on Kyler Murray that he may actually come back. Yeah, he's practicing today, So that's a huge got twenty one days to practice, his practice windows open. He's activated off pup and so now in the next three weeks, they've got a decision either he gets put on the active roster or he goes on injured reserve for the rest of the season. Obviously, practicing means he is gearing with the play. It's not going to be this weekend, it might

not be next week. But Kyler's back. And I mean, I know they're one in five, and I know they got the butts kicked last week. But I think Kyler Murray in this offense, with this leadership, is going to be a really really fun thing to watch, and I think he's going to make their decision easy. I don't think Kyler Murray is going to be a straight Can I think they're going to have nowhere near the number one overall pick, and it's gonna be kind of all laid out for him.

Jonathan Gannon, you know, first year. You know, again, the record's not good, But does it seem to be that there's some hope there for what he's doing. Oh yeah, he's a real football coach, and that's just different one that they had the last four years. I take a lot of joy watching people wonder why Caleb Williams has st and I'm like, you know, Cliff Kingsbury is at USC now, he's literally one of the

worst football coaches I've ever seen. Because the presentation of the coach is so good, people tend to think people just assume Cliff Kingsbury's good at things because he's a good looking man. And I'm like, dude, just absolutely had no idea what he was doing leading the Cardinals for four years. He failed with Patrick Mahomes at Texas Tech, and it's funny to watch Caleb Williams struggle there. I'm sure it's not all Cliff's fault, but I think Kyler Murray

right now knows that Jonathan Agannon's a real head coach. They've got a real NFL offense. I've said this. I don't know if they said it to you guys, but the last four years, the coaching staff held the players back. Now it's the players holding the coaches back. They just need an infusion of talent in this team. I think by next year is going to be contending for a wildcard spot. Wow, look at you. I know what Kingsbury goes for. I'm a good looking man who everyone thinks so much

of me. It sucks. The pressure sucks. Well, that's funny. That's a great analogy because they get probably a little a little more lax right when you when you're oh he's good looking, he's smart or whatever. Yeah, yeah, no, he's It's funny you see that he's a us see because they're not that good. I forgot he was there. I mean I forgot he was there. Jody, you're all over. That makes sense. He he tried to gravy train Caleb Williams, which is just kind of obnoxious.

You know, like he failed in the NFL. He could have gone anywhere, and he really tried to gravy train the Caleb Williams experience to get another sucker team to, you know, trick them into giving him a head coaching job, and it's gone sideways. And again there's a lot of issues at USC. I don't think it's all with Kingsberry, but I don't think it's a coincidence either. Yeah, we're talking to Joe Daylor from Fox Sports nineteen up in Phoenix. So Jody, So Kyler Murray does come back.

Let's say he does come back in three weeks or whatever that is. You know, how good can you be? You say, we know he'll be better than than what they've got right now, or you just get him out there playing again, They're gonna be much better offensively. Josh stab that the clock just courted ran out on him. And I'm not saying that they're gonna win a bunch of games, but they have let This team is well coached and well prepared. They let it at halftime of the Rams, and then

obviously every thing went south in the second half. I think Kyler Murray helps bridge that gap between the first and second half. The Cardinals have been one of the worst second half teams of football. They just run out of gas. With kylerd adds an extra element. It doesn't mean that defense. The secondary right now is the biggest problem. They're just getting torched in the passing

game. Kyler doesn't play cornerback, so it's not gonna help there, but they The biggest obstacle for the Cardinals right now is in most NFL games, you need to score three times to have any chance to win, and this Cardinals team can barely find the end zone once. Kyler Murray is at least going to make it possible that you can get in the end zone three plus times in an NFL game, and if you do that, you win the turnover battle. You've got a chance to win some games. Now they have

the third toughest remaining strength of schedule. Well, so they got a bunch of big boys on their schedule, but I think Kyler's going to make them more competitive and probably deal a game or two. How in the world did they beat the Cowboys or is it one of those mystery things that they the Cobs because I had money on the copy. Well, man, the Cowboys were down three offensive linemen, right and they just sort of thought they could walk in there and walk out and win. And one of the big testaments

to Jonathan Gannon's leadership this team plays hard every game. They come out shot out of the canyon, and I think they just shocked the Cowboys and it was they just and Dak's you know, Dak's not a great quarterback when you're trying to erase the death of Hit, and so they just they just took him by surprise. Look at Jody Man, he's all positive on all the on all the Phoenix pro teams. We need to talk coyotes, right, Yeah, yeah, I don't have any coyotes. Think twice of your being

You want to stay in the rhythm. I get that, I get that, I get

that. But if you're gone, and the thing is, were you rusty or you're you're rusty's an overused term, or uh do you want the rest? Right? So everybody can look at it either way, right, No, you're right. And and you know what, and if if the Dodgers had gone and swept this diving back, everybody said, boy that that rest for the Dodgers was great. Exactly, you got you set your pitching staff exactly. Yeah, yeahda YadA. It's it's like using the data for your

That is exactly what it is. The momentum factor of the non moment rusty blah blah. This is what they do for a living. They play. If they play, they do, they do, and you know, and look, you do what you gotta do. Whatever it takes for you to be ready. You just do that. And sometimes he was talking about maybe the

Diamonbacks this and that Philadelphia's pretty damn good. Yeah, And the reason why probably the Diamondbacks look the way they look because Philly's pretty damn good good right, Yeah, no, but okay, let's let's for example, this is what normally, I mean, every coach that we've ever known, football coach you'll ever know, they come up on a bye week, they play their last game, they play their game, they do whatever they do. Sunday, they left, they meet, they do whatever. They give them three days off Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, focus on school work, sure, get back to work on Thursday. Je Fish is doing the other thing. He's got a practicing through tomorrow. He's giving them Friday and Saturday off and then they're back at it on Sunday. He kind of flipped it over. Yeah, I think you know, was it too because they did play so well on on last Saturday. He kind of wants to keep that juice

going for a few more days, put it into the practice. Then, yeah, you gotta give them a couple of days off. They need a break. Then you give them the two days off, and then you go you go at it again. It's just you kind of figure out what's best for your team. If he thought it was best for his team to take a bunch of days off right after the game, he would have done it. Yeah. Yeah, so we won't know until we know, until we know because next week's the game. We should have done it the other way

around, exactly, it's exactly, it's a spin. It's we should have, we should have, we should have that day you played very well, yeah, the day they didn't. Okay, well I told you again, man, Mike. Today lunch group, but just giddy today. They're like like a bunch of little kids. They've been waiting for this role. Yeah, and it's like the Christmas The Christmas presents are all around the tree.

Not that they think, you know, not that they think they're going to you know, like the festival or stuff that are going to win the league, but just feeling like, God, it feels good to be good. were gonna correct. But what it looks like is what's is what's making the difference. Well, we thought they were gonna get smashed by Washington USC and they did it, right, no, no, No, you can argue, you can argue that they should have beat USC when you saw USC did notre dame last week, right right, No, No, I think it's to how they'd reached this point, how they reached the point of a very dominating performance, a very respectable performance with a quarterback that you really like,

whether he stays the quarterback. I think I thought he's got it. There's no question he's got there's no because it's just not so much public opinion. But you go with the guy who's yeah. You know what, then, Jed's a smart dude. He's he knows what he's doing.

Look, I love you, Jayden, but you know, I think you know you gotta admit for the good of the team, sure, this is what we gotta do. Sure, this is what we gotta do, and we're gonna do it. Be ready to play though, because if sure, you know, if it goes if it goes south, and we need you, we need to get in there and we need you to be at your best. That's the speech I would have, And again I would even better,

You know if if in the postgame press conference after the Oregon State game, Jed would come on and say, Jayden came up to me and said, coach, we gotta you gotta stick with Noah all of a sudden, his whole image, you know, rises there are some some of the guys that I had looked at, you know, the guy in my crowd today say, God, if Jane Delora comes out as a starting quarterback gets Oregon State, you think they'll boot. I'm like, you know

what, there will be some. There would be there would be some, there would be no doubt. And the fact that you could probably hear people saying I'm not coming back. Yeah, I'm not coming back. They've lost me as a fan. And the thing about is he makes a lot of money, right, he makes a lot of to make these decisions, and his job is predicated on him winnings. Got to win. He's got to make a decision for you know, yeah, to win games. Tough decision,

but I think the smart decision continued rolling with what you got? Yeah, yeah again. And you know, going into the game last week, I remember I said, God, what happens if they be watching has a great game? What are you gonna do? Here? We are here, you know here you are. It's in fact, you have you have one of the best the Dodgers. You have one of the best pictures in the history of the program of the Dodgers, who has a horrible history of losing

games in the playoffs. Do you not start him game one? Do you not start him game one. Well, he was their best picture. That's and you started. We get from Jed Fish tomorrow, sure on the show, and then they'll they'll take a break and start getting ready for uh for

Oregon State. It's gonna be a fun game. You know, I kind of wish it was in that four thirty time slot. I know night games are great at Arizona. I sure hope that if it's a great game, that in the third quarter and fourth quarter, people are still there, because even in the Washington game, that game was never over and the place emptied out you know by the fourth quarter. You know, folks, yea stick around these guys need you, and uh, it just makes for a better

atmosphere. It's a lot more fun. There's plenty of bar min. It's left after a football game. Yeah, you know, I mean bartolp until now right? Have you ever been out to bartil I can't remember the last time I was out that long, really, even for New Year's Eve, I can't remember. Man, I suck it. It's all true, though. When you get older, just well you get a buen. I hit the sack last night at eight thirty, but that's because I have my five

thirty. I got it at five thirty for my meeting on Tuesday Morndas. But at eight thirty, I was I was boom. I was under the covers, you know. Part of that. My wife is gone, So anybody to talk to you? Well, that's pretty trouble. You don't call me. Yeah, my brain starts swirling yet again. I just put on some Dateline reruns and exactly evact, we were at the game Friday and people were, you know, together, don't you guys get enough from each other?

Yeah, but we're here. Well here's a I like. Here's what I like. When I think it was Marlins came up and said I had the ball was here. This must be a big game because we were Yeah, we needed a T shirt shirt. Yeah, that's pretty funny. Although

they put my wristband on too tight. It's blocking so much. That was a fun game, you know, there was two really good funny think about you said it yesterday we left when when CEO seemingly took the easy lead right when they scored, they scored a touchdown three minutes left in the game. You walked out. How far were you in the car near the car? Were you at the car when it happened? I know I must have gotten

to the car. You heard the loud cheer and I'm taking what just happened, But you didn't turn around and go back, too tired to watch to the car now. I I didn't know about it until later that night. I checked on Twitter and saw that they had they had lost and had scored and then gone for two. But congratulations both those guys. You know, a dustin piece and such a great story and your friendship, muge at the friendship. Yeah, all that stuff. That was such a good game,

just a hard fund. We were standing on the sidelines. Those guys were hitting hard. We were hitting really hard. They both had some really good players, some tough players. It was a really tough, physical football game and it was fun to watch. So all right, you can put that one man.
