Steve Bravera and Jacob Salz. They have their eye on the ball on Tucson Sports Stage shaft, Fox Sports fourteen fifty. Heay, welcome back to the bout here on Fox Sports fourteen fifty. I'm Steve, You're Jay. You got Kevin with breaking news? Oh, Fox Sports fourteen fifty. All right, so I'm getting down eventually, I'm gonn nail it. Yeah, Tuesday,

that breaking news is gonna be crazy. Arizona forward Kishaw Johnson was named to the preseason Carl Malone List. Caleb Glove was also named to the Jerry West Award list. Oh okay, cool, I hadn't seen that. And it looks like the only Pac twelve competition for Johnson is going to be UCLA's dam Bona. Okay, yeah, which is good. He's good. I remember he when he got hurt in the in the packed off tournament was a

big deal. So right directly, TV is also now sponsoring the Holiday Bowl, but just for this year, Oh just for this year, for this year. They want to focus on just this year because the negotiations. Oh well then everything changes, right, I Like, I don't know if you say I went through something out on Twitter, how the PAC twelve cannot get Direct TV to take the network, all right, and then DirecTV comes around and sponsors a PAC twelve game. Crazy feel like they're not entertaining to watch.

We have some of the best teams and best I know, I know, I know, and you know, again there's based on what happened there at the end with with ESPN and stuff like that, you're you wonder who's you know, who's more at fault at what happened with But direct TV is really the thing that really made the PAC twelve look bad and really hurt them economically, you know, with the whole TV deal stuff. Right, by never getting PAC twelve network on direct TV, it really made PAC twelve network

look bad the whole time it existed. All right, And the jury is back. The verdict is Lincoln Riley is not looking for employment. He actually had pneumonia and that's why he missed two days of practice. He's back yesterday. Yeah, he's back in practice. But they say he says he still doesn't feel good. Still good ones because his team makes him look feel bad. And the quarterback. You have the information on the quarterback as well.

He said he's not he's not going He's not gonna leave. He's gonna play. It's gonna play. But speaking of that, did you see I saw uh, I think I saw yesterday there's a high school like a like a force, like a four, four or five star high school football player, and I think it's from southern California and halfway. So his season is not over and he's quit the team, asked when we heard this. He's quit the team so he can finish, so he can quote unquote focus on school

so he can graduate at mid year to get to a school. But he's quit the team right in the middle of the season. So basically, the best player on the team just quit because he wants he does you know, he wants to get ready to get to get ready to go to college. Which is the conversation we were having about. Sure, there was a rumor about Caleb Love, you know, not that he was going to do that. People were saying there were athletes, there were other athletes who are saying

he should do that. I'm like, okay, so there's the there the ice has been broken on that this player. There was a picture the guy, he's like a physical specimen, best player on your team, says, guys, I'm done with you, guys, I'm moving on right in the middle of the year. No, just just saying he has no more friends. Would you want that on your team? No, of course not. Of course not. I don't care how good you are, get the hell out of here. I'd be pissed. I think I think some players are

moving more towards that. I don't know if I would necessarily want them on my team. I know that's not really good answer, but I know there was a corner at U n C a couple of years ago the purposefully graduated early because he saw like more playing time and more. That's fine, but finish the season. That's a great point. That's probably the crust. You

started the season, finished the season, you know. I mean, I know, Steve, if you did that, did that with your kids, But I don't if you're gonna if you're gonna start a season, you're gonna finish the season. None of them were ever ever thought about quitting or anything like that. But you know, I had that conversation with other with other players on the teams that coaches said, Okay, you're here, I expect you to be here. The last game of the year. Sure gonna be

you know, healthy and all that stuff. Yeah, yeah, you're right. And the last bit of breaking news for today is that the n C double A enforcement staff is on Michigan campus and uh, I believe you guys actually have more information on that as well. Yeah, that's not that's not related to this. That's to the the the the coach the former. No,

no, they're both. They're two different things. The f b I, the f c I s. The FBI is on campus investigating this one coach on some sort of uh, computer crimes, which is not related at all to the science ceiling thing. But n C double A staff has been has been on on campus at Michigan doing stuff. But interesting things just came

across from Ross Dellinger at Yahoo Sports. So Sonny Dykes, who you know, head coach at TCU played Notre Dame and beat Notre Dame in a shocker in the in the College of Football Playoffs semi final last year, said that they knew that Michigan had been stealing signs, so they devised a system where they were still gonna flash the old signs, but they also had some new signs, so and they were telling the players ignore the old sign The new

sign is the signals. So he said they he said they made This is a paragraph from dellinger story. They mixed in new play call signals with old ones, using what one TCU staff member described as quote unquote dummy signals in an effort to trick the UM staff. The dummy signals were old play calls

that had since been changed. Players were told to ignore the dummy signals and run the original play as called with the new signals and then it quoted one TCU coach, sometimes we froze the play before the snap, would call a play and then would signal in another play with a NOL signal. But we told players to run the original play and guess what. Beat the crap? They beat Michigan. You know this is this is just getting so juicy.

Oh I'm sure that. Are you sure that Harbaugh was pissed only because he says, what the hell? We have the secret code, we have the cheak code. What are we doing? Yeah, we have fifty five thousand on the revenue with this guy, we're getting beat. Well, what do you call your che che codes? Yeah? Yeah, yeah, the video games and we still can't win. Well, the cheek codes were not right. Fifty one to forty five. They put fifty one points up on them. You know, it's just five. Yeah, well it was. I

was I had a backward CA TCU. They went and got its butt kicked by the House State. I guess they didn't have their signals, or maybe Ohio State had TCUs. I don't know, but again the point being, one of the points being the TCU knew Michigan had been stealing signals and they did stuff to uh offset that. So this is pretty well known around college football, that you know, and and as you've said in the many times, they weren't the only one, probably not, you know, interesting interesting

stuff, all right, A couple other things. I think we did the pneumonia thing. What else did we have? There's some stuff in the n b A and and all that, But I guess so. But they're not gonna have or Booker tonight, Bill or Booker. But it's Kad versus lebron tonight. Okay, literally just about that, that's all that's left the street. There's a couple of old guys. Kevin Rants thirty five. I couldn't

believe I saw that. I think he's gained a pound since he got I think Wemby's actually already gained more weight than Did you see that picture that there was a few days ago, the picture that ran of him blocking somebody's three point shot but the guy's taking the shot and the woman kim comes flying at him and the guy his whole hand on not like a fingertip. I think I saw. I think I heard some some number the other day about how he was able to block a three point shot when the ball was going up

he was like nine feet away the one lunge and elite. Yeah, he's already and he's already out there. Yeah, it's crazy on the other way about to make a transition three. I just hope, I just hope with that frame he can he can be you know not you know not be you know be injury like that. What's the whole home? Chet Holmgren, Chet Holmgren got injured. Like has incredible strength and conditioning and like biometric stuff he

does. I see videos of him like fully like half like flat Stanley, like just doing weird stretches and like like just trying to stay as limber as possible. I can't believe, you know, flat Stanley. Of course I know flat I guess you know you've never done flat Stanley. Your kids are probably too old. Flat tip last stay. I mean, I don't know that. I don't remember the backstory. But he's just he's a kid that's

flat at paper. Well it's at our school. At our at in elementary school, they would make a person you know, you know, yeah, uh you know hardstock, Okay, that you know, Okay. So then the kids we were told to to give it to somebody to take with them for a day at work, and then that person was supposed to write on it what what flat Stanley did that day? You remember doing this assignment now,

right? And so then so, like I remember, one of our kids gave it to John Wilner and and so he and then so John Wilner wrote down everything that flat So John spent the day with this flat Stanley with him over and he had to write down everything that flat Stanley did. Bored I think I think John was in l A at the time. So we mailed it to him and he sent it back and then you know, but yeah, that's what flat stand. All three of our kids did that.

I don't remember who else they gave it to But that's am. I right, that's flat Stanley. That fast Stanley. The memory serves yours. You know, I'm gonna put that on our on our podcast saying, okay, who is flat Stanley? You didn't have to do flat standing. You can't start that much older than my twenty eight and twenty five, Adam, So you must not have gone to a good school. Who you your kids? Foothills, Foothills and Cdeo. There were athletes, man, that explained,

he said, the element where then Foothills in elementary school? No, there're Cudio, Cdeo, Studio Star up on the northwest side. Okay, public? Hey, no, yeah, hey, I went to a Catholic school. Look what it did to be I know, not a damn thing I know, and I went to public school. What he did to me? My dad is up and Heaven said like you should there you and your sister. That's too funny. All right, all right, eight, there's a Are you doing anything on the on the Thursday night game tonight? No?

I liked Mission Michigan. I like the Buffalo, but really they're not They're not not touching man. I think I think i'd be taking Tampa Bay to I No, Buffalo is just too scary. In fact, this is one of the first years I haven't met him to win at all. I just don't feel I don't trust him anymore. Yeah, well I heard I heard a funny theory on that. I think. I think it was what's his

name? Chris Simms was saying that that the issue with with UH, with Josh Allen, seems to be that if he's not on the team, is not on, that he's got to be on all the time. That he can't have that because there's some teams that your quarterback can have a bad day or not a great day and you can still you know, win, but that it's there's too much on him to produce for them to win. Against's been like that for the last three four years. I mean, come on,

that great game with Kansas City, what two three years ago? Whatever was Now that was a long time ago. Now, yeah, this didn't He doesn't have any weapons to throw to him. He just doesn't. So I'm trying to look at you see what what their what their records? The boxer the box are three and three. There must be about to say the bills. The bills are three and four. Yeah, yeah, I wouldn't trust it. I wouldn't trust it. Yeah, sefan Digs probably have a

big night though. No, he's the only guyin Kid's Out. He's the only guys my boy. He's on my fantasy team. He's my only guy who scores though. No, that's not true. I've got I've got uh long haired guy, Trevor Lawrence. He's my QB and and and Raheem Moster, he's on my thing. Skinny what's his name, Skinny Ed? What's

his name? Flat Stanley? Skinny Charlie, Oh my god. You know what I'd love to hear from anybody else, if you know, if you knew about Flat Stanley before we started talking about if you call us, give us what your nickname was? Friendly only? Yeah, yeah, yeah, right, yeah, I basic on me Speedy Gonzales. But that guy that I was passed, when did you lose that? About twenty years ago?

Twelve? I was actually at the age of forty something that I okay, let me put the I'm gonna say in the well into the two thoughts. I was still stealing bases steven City League Baseball. And do them have to give him back? No? I was. I was still I was. I could still go, man, I could. We moved the bases closer together, I could still go. That was a terrible, terrible head first leg I would just bally fly. I was like a dart. Okay, I'd hit the dirt and just stick. I tried not to try. Your

Mamma says, she loves you. I'm gonna check it out. I used to check it out. My kids will attest to the fact that I used to be pretty fast because I was. I was. I played, I played, you know, we played. I remember playing that softball team with you. But whatever it was. Yeah, it was just with summer, summer still yeah, yeah, it was good. That was fun. He was pretty good. He wasn't that he was athletic. Long time ago, we went and played at Sports Park against a

bunch of like Airlines people or something like that. It was like it was a really dumb game. So long time ago. Yeah, it's not more less okay for one listener. Sorry, we're gonna head out less Garrett from the Corvellis Times Review. We'll be here to talk about Oregon State coming up

We appreciate you join us. We just want to talking a little bit about the beaves

and what we can expect to see coming up. You know, I asked Jet Fish how dj U a Galile compares to the three quarterbacks at Arizona's face in its last three games. They've seen Panics. They've seen Caleb Williams and then Cam Ward, What are your thoughts on where he kind of fits in that group of guys. It really is a murderer's row of quarterbacks in the Pac twelve. And I really do think that DJ, especially with his play over the last few weeks, deserves to be mentioned with those other guys.

He's playing at that sort of level. Oregon State's not necessarily asking him to do everything that Washington is asking, you know, it's guy to do, but he's what they are asking him to do. He's been very good at it. So was that just a hiccup against Washington State a few weeks ago? That was primarily a defensive issue. They came out and let Washington's a State throw a bomb over the top on the second play of the game and

never defensively, you know, gave up thirty eight points. The offense didn't play badly in that game, but just the defense didn't get any stocks. Yeah, and that was the problem. So DJ wasn't bad in that game. It wasn't great, but if the team got unbalanced a little bit in that game as well. He threw the ball season high thirty four times in that game. That's not really the way that Jonathan Smith wants to do things,

but you know, the score and game situation required it. When you think about him, you know when when like it was such a big deal when he's when he decided to go to Oregon State from Clemson. You know, he obviously was coming in with a lot of you know, high regard, you know a lot of people that is a really good deal, really good quarterback. Has he been Has he met or exceeded expectations? Do you think from what people thought he was going to be when he came in.

I think earlier in the year you might have gotten a range of responses to that question. But and not that he was playing poorly, just maybe a little bit inconsistently. Percent completion percentage was maybe lower than people were looking for. But his play over these last three weeks has been really solid. You know, they've rebounded from that Washington State loss with wins over Utah Cal and

UCLA, and DJ has been very solid in those games. What he what he brings is a year ago, Oregon State just turned the ball over entirely too much. The team had a very good defense, they had a very good running game, and turnovers were just very costly. And what DJ has done. Is he's just basically eliminated that he's got four picks on the year in you know, one hundred and seventy six attempts perfectly reasonable, and he's just he makes good decisions with the ball. He's very calm in the pocket.

He's a big guy. He's not afraid to get yet. And he's also he's not at all afraid to throw the ball away. He's perfectly willing to throw the ball away and come back and do it again. And just being careful with the ball is what Johnson is looking for. You can talk about the running game too. The team has a pretty good running game with this running back, so he has some compliments. The quarterback does, oh absolutely. I mean a year ago, this was a team that counted on

its running game to do almost everything. This year, they're a lot more balanced, but they do have a one to two punch with Damian Martinez and Deshaun Fenwicks. But really, you know, they're running behind a veteran offensive line. Both of their tackles, Tolly Fuaga and Joshua Gray regarded as very solid NFL prospects, and their experienced across the middle of the line, the

center and the two guard spots. It's a very good line. And then I know Martinez is quick, he's powerful, he's a good back for hitting the hole, and Fenwick's having a good senior season as the number two guys. You know, I'm gonna I'm gonna kind of throw a previous guests under the bus a little bit on this, and I want to do that to you, I promise. But the I can't remember his name, the writer from Washington State when we talked to When we talked to him, you know

as the kid from from the Spokesman Review. We talked to him, he kind of like poopooed Arizona's defense, like, you know, they're gonna be able to move the ball, and obviously they didn't. Right AZONEA bet him forty four to six. Yeah. Jed Fish today called this game coming up a heavyweight fight, which you're saying, okay, who's the heavyweights Arizona's nobody's ever used the word heavyweight when it comes to them, you know, either

on the offense or defensive line. He said, it's gonna be a brawl on the line. Is there a recognition of that up there? Well, if Arizona was wanting to fly under the radar. Going into Pullman and winning forty four to six pretty well wrecked that plan. Yeah, they are gonna They've got everybody's attention now nobody. If anybody was thinking they were going to look past an Arizona game, that's not happening now. Uh, these guys

are well aware of how well that defense is playing. DJ had very complimentary things to say about the Arizona defense during his press availability earlier this week. He especially likes, uh, your your two linebackers, uh, and what he saw out of them. So, no, the Arizona defense has has got Oregon States full attention. And and what are their impressions about Arizona's offense given, Uh, we don't even know who's gonna start at quarterback? Yeah,

yeah we We asked Jonathan about that. He sees he thought there was some sim similarities between the two colors. I don't know myself if if that's necessarily the case, but Noah, if Noah has to step up and be the guy, he certainly has demonstrated that he's he's capable, especially recently, he seems to be getting really comfortable in that spot. If if that's who

you guys are rolling with. Yeah, so you probably get as this every time you talk to somebody who you've never talked to before, which means us, what's been the best thing about what Jonathan Smith is doing over there? Because you know, Jed had a lot of high praise for him. You know, even on Monday he said that, you know, they would love him, they would love it if they could be in a couple of years. You know, five years out what Oregon State has been five years out

since John Jonathan Smith got there. What's been the best thing about him? Jonathan is a very even keelled guy, and I think some people might sometimes wish he or maybe a little more fiery. But I think if a coach can only be themselves, and I think when they're authentic with them with their players, I think players understand that. I think Jonathan's a plenty competitive guy, but he's just he's very even keeled, and he just keeps the team

very processed focused. Sometimes that means their interviews or a little bit mechanical, as a little maybe Belichickian as they you know, move on to the next opponents. But the high the upside of that is that there's a sense of stability and there's the sense that this is the program that knows who it is and and knows the direction it's going, and and you know when from from where this program was when Jonathan took over, and now it's just a remarkable

change. It really it's hard to imagine how it could have been worse when Jonathan took over, and he's just really changed everything. Now. It seems like Jed there is doing a very similar thing, and he's even on a faster timeline than than Jonathan was here in year three, looking to really have

things turned around down there. So it looks to me that he has no concerns about being the little brother to Oregon or in the shadows out because uh, even though you know corballisis where it's at and and under the under the not umbrella, but you know, you know, second, second fiddle, he's done a great job. Yeah, well, I think this is a situation where you know, you bring the quarterback, you bring the hero quarterback

back to campus as the coach. Sometimes it works, and you know, sometimes like with Scott Frost Nebraska, it looks like it should work, but it doesn't work well. With Jonathan Smith, it has worked. Jonathan knows what Oregon State is. He knows what an Oregon State football is about, and he's just the perfect guy to take over this program at this point in

time and to get it headed back in the right direction. Also, another thing that they've got is they've had a lot of stability amongst their key assistance. There's a lot of continuity on that staff, and I think that's really helped, you know, offensive coordinator Brian Lindren, defensive coordinator Trent Bray, where the secondary coach Blue Adams. There's just a lot of continuity and the

players, I think they appreciate that. So I'll bring this up because you know you're in the not you Oregon States in this position, as you know, with the two one of the two teams left. Has that stuff been able to just kind of stay on the side for the team and for the

football season? Is it a distraction at all? Uh? You know, what's what's that been like to not only for you, but you know for the team to be dealing with this year Behind closed doors, I don't know what they're saying, and I don't know if they're using it as fuel. I wonder sometimes if maybe they are in public, their their statements have been very bland. The statements are just focusing on you know, it's about this year. It's about trying to make it to that Pac twelve championship game and

win a PAC twelve title. They stay very focused outside the room if they're and the way they've done that is remarkable because Beaver Nation obviously it's hard to talk or to talk about anything else, how quick talk about anything else. Beaver Nation is consumed by this, and rightfully so, there's complete uncertainty as

to the future direction of the program. It looks the way the wind is blowing right now that Oregon State and Washington State are maybe going to try a pack two thing for the next two years, maybe in an effort to buy time and put together the most suitable opportunity Beyond that, I think right now a pack two is the most likely outcome in the near term. But man, even that that that gets really complicated, and not just for football,

but for there's so many other sports and athletes on campus. So yeah, it's a huge topic of conversation and obviously a great deal of frustration that this is happening at a time when they've got one of the best football all teams that they've had in the history of the program. So we got about a minute and a half here. Well, what any predictions for Saturday? Are

you coming down? I am not coming down. We really only travel within the Pacific Northwest until we get to the post season for you know, basic office budget. Yeah, but the game itself, I expect a competitive game. I expect a very competitive game, you know, in a defensive score, a special team score, turnovers, those sorts of things. He should be a very interesting game. It will be interesting to see Oregon States run defense. The last couple of weeks has maybe been a little softer than they

would like. It will be interesting to see if Oregon State can tighten that up. But you know, with a way Noah's playing, if they put the ball in his hands and make him throw it, he's seems capable of doing that. So it should be a very very interesting game. Yeah, that's what we're thinking. That's what we're thinking over here. So hey, less, we appreciate the time today. If you get down here at some point, well I don't know. We're headed to the Big twelve, so

But I don't think so, but we'll see.

Well again, the Washington State kid had it, like did he say like forty five, forty one or something like that, and he got he was close on the forty one for Arizona, but he was a little off on the you know, the forty five for Washington State. So there you go. I'm gonna need I'm gonna need to calloo. Would like to play a little bit of a different game than that. Yeah, they don't really want to. I don't think they want to play a shootout like that.

Arizona would play USC tough. But I thought we both said that the Arizona is going to lose that game, right, But this is this is a tighter game. We've got a caller coming in hire on the Aaron I on the ball. I knew it was Nico. I could tell by the blinking light that it was you, Nico ay Man, the light blinks a little brighter when it's you. How about that?

Hey man? I appreciate that. What do you got what's happening tomorrow or Saturday? Hey man? I think the cats win. I won't be there because that have the work. But well you got another job. That's good? Yeah? Man? You know, are you quit my other job? Because my dad's birthday was a day and they wouldn't get me it up? Well, you know, if you're stay in a job long enough, sometimes you can get an unexpected day off. There is that thank you for keeping

the economy alive? Exactly are you singing? Are you slinging pizzas? Of what are you doing? I don't want to talk about it's pretty embarrassing. Yeah, all right, so what's up? You go? Like I said, man, just celebrating? Man? All right? But I also know where Flat Stanley is? You do? He said about that? H you want twenty seven now, aren't you? Yeah? I sent I sent one to my aunt in San Diego, went to a Padres game and see where Steve had no idea who Flat Stanley? Stanley Heavy Sanley. I don't care

who Stanley is very cool and they came back with some cool stuff. Right, yeah, I went to see I got a Padre's head. It was pretty soon. I was like, why the hell did I go to Sanie? Somebody? Nico a pro athlete relatively recently. It was on Twitter and they had had a flat Stanley with them and I don't remember who it was, but I'll try and find that. It's a big deal. Mann tried to still around. But okay, hey man, though, I want to just say this. I want to give a shout out to my dad man

our happy birthday? Man? Is it is? That? Is that a lot of them? Are he not the same age? I think he's like, okay, if he if he just turned sixty five, he's a year older than me. I got him to gifts. He didn't want one, but that's all right. I got him a hooker. Oh man, I'm gonna see that. The hats a safe bet. Nico's a safe bet. Just get him a hat, Nico. That's all that's all you do, all right, man, Thanks for the tribe. Well, happy birthday to

your pop. Uh. We wish him well and wish him a whole bunch more. Hey man, all right, man, dog, he must have been working his job pretty hard. Oh my god, my god. You never you never disappointed me. He never does, does he He's always got it? Man. You treat him and Gabe. Yeah, yeah, craziness yep, yep, yep, yeah exactly. So, you know, I just went on Twitter. There's a lot of references to flat Stanley, but

I can't find the whoever whoever was that. There was a pro athlete who did a flat Stanley for somebody and pick some pictures and it was and it was posted. So anyways, Oh, anybody want to call we have eight Minnesota. Give us your nickname. It's gonna be clean though. So anyways, all right, you know I thought less a less Garrett from a from Corvallis Provide, gave us a whole lot of you, a whole lot of time. And I agree. DJ has been playing a lot better the last

last you were very down on him. He's bad. He's been better, but he didn't get off to a good start this season. I thought he had been completely overrated. Uh you know, well there that maybe he had just had to get used to. They're in your life, they're in your observations. Uh, is your issue giving you some secrets to your picks. Here, Jay, you you're like, who's the call? Brian? Hees Brian when he called one day two weeks he says, Yeah, that team

hasn't impressed me. Well, you saw him for a moment in time. There's more moments in times. You know how many bad days that we had if we if people listen to say, these guys saw as they catch us on a good day, you know what I'm saying. So you caught him on a bat. I remember you saying I just didn't don't like the way they play. Yeah, but I watched him. I did see him, you know, like two or three times, and none of those times did they look good to me? And they won at least two of those,

Yeah exactly, but they they looked good to me recently. But when you look good, when you look okay and you're still winning, that kind of shit. Yeah, there's something there said something Look at every they looked fairly, well, fairly, halfway, decent or good, whatever word you want to use. And they've lost. So that kind of gives you hope too. Yeah. Yeah, I've got a new strategy. I'm not gonna tell to tell you until tomorrow. I afraid we still know we're gonna go.

We're Stiday. I don't worry about it. He's been a long We're still going to do our our fab five Friday picks from from showtime tomorrow because only because we have to. But yeah, I gained a point on you, yester the last week, one whole point more about nineteen. Yeah, I'm still pretty far behind. I got I got a long way to go. I'm you know what, I'm just trying to write the ship because it's like waters up to my neck right now. We're not even having you reach that.

Can you swim of the season? Not great? Better you better get some ground, not a great shallow end of the pool. Yeah yeah, no, Uh, I've I've come to sort of a realization. What I've been doing been making my pick, doing it wrong, doing it wrong. I've been a little unlucky. I'm mean, have some I've had some really bad, bad beatings. No, I'm curious to find that you're in your next reason to say, this is why? Okay, I'll tell you what.

It is very simple. It's very simple. And it hit me last week when there was a game that I thought, why didn't I pick that. I kind of get my sights pretty early in the week, usually set on three or four games, all right, so I don't look at all

the games. You know, I should have looked. If i'd have gone through the games, I'd have looked at LSU minus thirty one against Army, and I would have said, I got to have that, because but that's You're good after the fact, I mean, no, no, but no, But you know I saw I said, wait a minute, LSU's gonna score a thousand points and Army is not gonna score I should have seen that. But you use the same philosophies in the terms of U C. L A against Stanford. I know you don't. I get it. I get

it. But that one was so obvious, you know, even even before the fact. You know, I'm looking at the I'm looking at the point spreads on Saturday morning just to see, you know, what games are coming on? Right, I'm like, how did I not see L s U an Army? What the hell is Army doing playing l s U? And that's gonna be really bad? And then it was so, I mean I

recognized that before the game got played. So I've decided I'm gonna look at all the games I've that's that's what you think is gonna solve the issue. Well yet, because too often I zero in on a game and it turns out to be a hard game. Now you can't pick a card game it's supposed to because I mean, you know the or oh you're on the aaron I and the ball. Hey, Tommy, how you guys doing? What's up? Man? Hey? So I was sharing a little something with Steve

at the end of last week. So every week I played the Chief and the thing go game parlay like cover the spread, mahomes yards completion, excuse me, attempts two touchdowns and Kelsey to score. And last year it hit like twelve times literally, So I had it this weekend. But when you guys did the show Friday, I pulled over and and you know, described all of your team's day, and I took the opposite and I was solid going into that Chief game. Bro Steve was laughing at it. Steve was

laughing at it. Well, that's you know again, that that's you know, I hit it so that you know, blind squirrel dude got one. So you did, you didn't hit that right? You went? You went one? For four. It wasn't good. I mean, yeah for one. Yeah, no, did I had four? But I'll tell you what. I'll have the bed a MGM app open tomorrow afternoon. I'm ready. Thanks, Thanks, Tommy. I appreciate that, man, I appreciate the love. Hey, man, I got a caller. He's a caller,

he's a listener. He's going with my picks. That's how i'd sell that. I'd sell that like crazy. But but you know again, and another stupid thing that I do, and it's probably a dumb thing. I always, always, always, always pick one of the games that starts at nine o'clock in the morning. So I find one of those games and I pick it. Why something, Yeah, because I'm always I'm always sitting around on Saturday morning, you know, looking for you know, while watching games.

You know what I picked open. I guess what I'm telling you is, I'm opening my mind to all the games. So now you're in trouble. Okay, now you're forward to being in trouble. You know when I pick my games right before the show starts, Well, I do too, but well I shouldn't say that, because I mean I finalize them. But all week long, I you know this week I've got I've cleared my mind. I've cleared my mind on any game. Anyway. We got two minutes here,

Kevin. There's a reason why he has grunk here. There's a reason why he has the skull here. Go ahead. And I haven't rubbed either one in all seasons. I joe there, my mode. These are my mojos. The dull a ko d skull right there, and then the Gronk bobble they give you, they give you the good energy. Yeah, and you know what, I well, I haven't. I haven't rubbed either one of them all year. So maybe I gotta do that. Maybe that's missing step. That could be it, that could be the whole thing that it

could be just nothing but that. And Gronk's gonna be here this weekend, right next weekend. Next week he's coming for the homecoming, a big party Bronx and town for any party. Yeah, you're gonna be You're gonna see like smoke rising from wherever he's at. Yeah, smoking like smoking? Can you can you put fireworks and you know things like that, you know, people getting set on fire, loud electronic music. Yeah, so you kids, you kids kind of what do you guys do with Gronk because he's older,

I ground here, you guys look up to him. What's what's the big deal with Gronk with you kids? Gronks cool? Gronks like your favorite uncle. Sure, sure, yeah, because you're twenty three, right you DU's because you about thirty something. Yeah, he's like, I think he's a popular part and then went to the school that if you're a sports fan, you're like, it's really cool that he went here, and he comes back every once in a while. Parties like he's something who's more I guess

he's more popular than than than Bruskie. And yeah, see we kind of we kind of hang we hang our heads on Steve Kerr. Yeah, and that'll I think I think the informed know about, you know, obviously like Bruski and such like that. But I think that Gronka is totally outside. He's got to be commercial to commercial. If you see that, Eudald is going to be doing some TV work now, that's that's what He's not surprised there either. All right, man, let's get the heck out of here.

We'll catch you tomorrow. Showtime Cards fifty eight O one East Speedway. Thanks to be there. Uh from what? Kevin McKay, thank you for being here, and less Garrett, thank you for being here. We'll talk to you tomorrow.
