Streaming live on the iHeartRadio Whip. This is I on the Ball with Steve Rama and Jay Gonzalez on Fox Sports fourteen fifty. Hey, welcome back to I in the Ball here on Fox Sports fourteen fifty. I'm Steve, you're Jay. We've got some breaking news. Hopefully from Jay. We do here in just a second. But he's year now that we're in studio, not on the road. It is okay, here we go. I'm trying to do well, maybe not due This is EYE on the Ball breaking news on

Fox Sports fourteen fifty. Iman. By surprise, I forgot we had a show going on right now. All right, all right, here we go. Well, Arizona's win over Oregon State on Saturday night has really ramped up Arizona being in all the Bull projections. So we're seeing them. You know, before it was kind of like they might get to the LA Ball or whatever they might get in the Independence. Now you're seeing projections from the l A Bowl, the Sun Bowl, and I saw one from Action Network.

It's got him in the Las Vegas against guess who, A horrible team. I guess Iowa. That's right. Yeah, So anyways, but you know, I know all around me, you know, my friends and family or whatever. Which bull game are we going to? I'm like, we're not gonna know until we show, but you know they need to win one more game at least, and and uh, you know that's starting to look, you know, very good. You know you you got I got people tell we're going nine and three and I'm like, calm down, who are you

hanging out with? Pump the breaks the same people I have been hanging out with all along. I've just had to pump the breaks tell you so. Anyways, but uh yeah, Brett McMurphy Action Network, the Las Vegas Bowl which which is which incidentally is the same day that Arizona plays. That face talked about this us you know, crack media people because the game the basketball games like at noon, and then the game the football games like at four.

So guess what you're running from the basketball game to the football game. You probably won't be able to write the basketball game until you get to the football game, right, So it's it's not gonna be and you've gotta be traffic, come on, and literally you would be running because the arenas are it's going to be faster to run than to get an uber or anything else

from from T Mobile to to the Raiders statement. Yea. Anyways, speaking of Iowa as a potential opponent, remember this, theyte they wrote the Brian Ferrins's contract, the son of the head coach Kirk Farrence, that they had to score twenty five points a game. But he's not going to hit that. No, they said that, they've already told him he's gone at the

end of the year. They're winning games, but they can't score. But you see on the line this week Northwestern twenty nine points over under twenty nine against Northwest, and I think money is on the on the under on that one full time lowest in whatever it is in history. Here you buried, you buried the lead son. Why who's going to Oregon? What do you mean? Who's going to Oregon? So the South Point kid? Oh, I wasn't even gonna talk about it. That's news, man, it is

news. That's my bad. I didn't I hadn't gotten that. Did you have it on the list? Not yet? I was still going through it. Okay, you know I ran out of time that you lead. No, that's right. Uh. Elijah Rushing committed to Oregon today. Not a shocker. Maybe it wasn't. Maybe part of it is, you know, we kind of all knew that that's where he was going to go, but he did commit today, what do you know, payback I guess for Arizona getting you know, tam Act, which I'm happy with the trade. Yeah,

yeah, you don't know. This guy's pretty good, right, yeah. Yeah. It's funny though you start, you know, the guy decommitted from Arizona. Now you start hearing from people, well, he probably wasn't gonna be that good. Those are just the painters. Did him have a good year? Who you know? Obviously it doesn't hurt anybody, but whoever,

I hope he does well. And in the end, you still want to do some kids to do well, right, right, It's like some of these guys, because if they do well, you get more kids playing, get more coaches after them, and more opportunity and all this j to you. And it's part of my point is, Okay, you have your kid, my kid whatever, being recruited by somebody else, and in Arizona,

I love my son to play here. But if some other teams calling calling, and they're pretty good, they're going good, look man, exactly, look good. On him again. I hope, I hope it works out well for him. I hope what works out for Kem and will Hike going to Washington. Yeah, you know it's tough for competition over there. Sure. Let me ask you this though. Okay, this is all speculation, nothing, just speculation because we've seen it happen before from other kids.

They leave, doesn't work out, so they want to come back, come back. You think you would be well received? No, I don't think Elija Russian will be received very well with the way the things that were said and the way he went. I think or either there's gonna have to be some major Jesus about that. Yeah, because but you know what I'm saying, Bridges, I don't know, you know that totally get it, but

I'm not saying that's gonna happen. But you know, apothetically, if something like that were to happen, he says, you know what, Okay, it's not my fit and I'm coming back. Yeah, we see it. It happens. You can't burn Bridge. Yeah. I don't know whether they did or didn't, but there's a lot of people that think they did and in the way that well the key people would be the coaching staff right exactly, and none about you or right and who knows what they thought about what

was said there? All right up the up the road in Phoenix, Cardinals head coach Jonathan Gannon said that Josh Dobbs is no longer the starting quarterback horrible lot yesterday either either Clayton to who's the next currently the backup or if Kyler Murray is ready and they're trying to get him ready, Kyler Murray could potentially start on Sunday this week they play the Browns, so on the road, I think probably on the road. Probably on the road. So but it's

it, but it will not be Josh Dobbs. So there's that something I meant to bring up Friday, Anthony Jimino pointed out in a a in a tweet, and he probably wrote about I don't know, but with with andre Iguodala retiring, that was the last of Loudelson's players in the league. They're all gone. And Anthony got I don't know where he got the stat if

he compiled it himself, for he'll tell you what. I'll tell you where, but go ahead and tell you Sam first well that Arizona Loop players from Ludelson's program in the NBA, played in fourteen thousand, three hundred and two games, scored one hundred and forty six thousand, nine and sixty eight points, and that one point one five six billion dollars. So everyone knows that he and I did the book one hundred things blah blah blah. So he

had that was his chapter. He did that chapter. That's when he kind of started compiling. Oh god, if he had another story updated. Yeah, he just updated it. And this is ten years ago. So uh they were I think they're over a billion then and then now since then, I mean that's a long time. That's a lot of money. One billion, one and sixty fifty six million dollars. Yeah. Who would you say of the of the list had the best NBA career? He had twenty years?

Yeah, JT had eighteen nineteen. You might have to argue Jason Terry. He got an NBA championship. Yeah, so did Andre Andre. Yeah. But yeah, yeah, dude, let me take you know who I would be for a week if they gave me a chance of all those dudes, and I love all all tho Judes, Steve Kirk, give you give you a life for a week exactly. Yeah, you could take all those other dudes. Yeah, how much fun did he have? Come on, how much fun did he have for a guy who didn't look like he had

any kind of a basketball future. You know when he came here and he's still going and he's still going. Yeah yeah, no, absolutely, of all those guys, of all those guys, yeah yeah yeah. So anyway, so there's that. What else'll take a day? Don't give me a week, give me a day. So apparently this just came up. Apparently there was a report Sunday night that the Michigan Board of Regents h has rescinded the contract extension that had been offered to Jim Harbaugh. He's denying that this

afternoon. He's saying that's not accurate. But you know, look, any board of regents is going to be tentative or whatever. Yeah, it's gonna probably say let's not let's wait until that this thing gets figured you think keeps getting worse. Did you also see that if he does decide to leave, he goes to the NFL, that they're gonna suspend him. They're gonna do something if something comes out at the next level too, because that there was that egregious or whatever. Wow wow wow wow wow. So all right,

Oh, here's an interesting thing. Maybe you go you go throw a bet down on this before the before the baseball games today is what they're calling sports equinox, the thirtieth one in history where there's NFL, Major League Baseball, n b A, NHL, and Major League soccer all on what would have to be the better each one game in each thing. Just bet something in each league that would have five teen parlay, but with some bet in each league. No, I don't I need to pay for burrito tonight. That's

a game, that's right. Hey, we haven't even brought that up. If there is a game tonight, right, Yeah. The Arizona Man have a their last exhibition in New Mexico Highlands right seven o'clock tonight at the at the Arena. I know nothing about New Mexico. Uh for good neighbor of minds, and one of the assistant coaches in that team. They come from the small school just outside of Santa Fe, about sixty miles from Santa Fe. Uh, small an ai a school, and I guess it's the small

small town. It's the it's from the school from where you're indoor in your court backs. Yeah, because now the story on him, I can't remember his name, So just kind of one of those it's just get get get ready kind of game. Did you see do you have any reports there about any injuries on you? So I saw Sheer had a story. Oh yes, Henry Vassar elbow. According to Sard his elbow out. The entire non

conference could be up for a while. Yeah, so that's what you did, was kind of or maybe just yeah, yeah, yeah, that's that's fun. You goose your depth at the center spot. Although they have five thousand others seven footers. Think guys Brian Anderson, who who actually started for the last game of Basar and uh and bow out. Yeah, and then of this, the actual season opener is next Monday, a week from today.

They got Morgan, stayed in town at a seven thirty game, and then right after that, man they hit out for Duke on a Friday, November tenth, which we should remind our listen, we will not be on the air on November tenth. If you're going to be a Duke, I'm going to be in Vegas, so there will be no show. A week from Friday. We'll remind you of that as we got that Duke game. That's gonna beat to get. I'm sure I have some more stuff. Did you see the hit from Sanders to Yeah, there was I didn't either.

He hit him with the show exactly. I mean, okay, so his head snapped and because of that hit in the head, I see it. What the hell with his dad made those tackles kind of like, you know, I don't want to hurt you, but yeah, you know, I thought that was a strange call. It looked like he was clearly trying to

avoid the targeting just because because of the collision. The guy's head hit the shoulder, but he didn't hit his head with his shoulder right, he hit He hit him sideways and then his head his head kind of made contact with the show. I wanted to bring that up because I said, that's strange. Yeah, that's strange. A lot of people agreed. I said, I didn't see that. What did I miss? You didn't leave with the

crown. Wow. There was also a questionable roughing the passing there, oh very much, so very much so I thought that was not not a I think it was either. Yeah, you can't do who do we have on last week that I joked about touching a quarterback, you know, just kind of breathing on them. They had to be somebody memory. You just can't do that anymore where you just kind of just touch a guy in Yeah, yeah, Tim Ketch, would you love to be playing now? We were

still wondering how we got that. I did get Tim Couch. We know people, we know people, we know people, but it's just weird, not weird. I didn't I didn't play quarterback football, but it's just changed. And I didn't think that it was a no. I didn't think it was either. And so anyways, this is not breaking news, but it's it's just a stat. Brett McMurphy, who again follows everybody right, Yeah,

he posted today when Jed Fish arrived in there. The Waldcats had lost their last twelve games in fishes past two seasons, Arizona's ten and ten, including three upsets of top twenty five ranked teams at five and three. This year, the Walcats losses robby seven points or less, two of them versus

top ten ranked teams. Jed mentioned that they're seven and four in their last eleven games, so he's gonna keep moving that up right the games until they're like, okay, we're We're eleven and one in our last twelve games. Stats matter, baby, especially yes, such a stat guy. It cracks me up. Stat I was when you were talking about Brett earlier. I was gonna bring that tweet up because it's funny how the national people come in

kind of snut streak in. But we've been saying this for a long time and then the national guy comes and says, oh look, okay, okay, we got a minute, and I got to bring this up. I'm bringing this up because I've been so bad on the picks, but I'm bringing this up. So don't kiss. Don't kiss at Stanford Steve. Okay, Well you know he's the ESPN guy. Yeah, he studies, He's gets paid to study stuff. You took his heap, No, No, I

used to don't. I don't listen to point is a good thing. He posted his record this year going into Saturday against the spread twelve twenty two and two, meaning in our league he'd be twelve wins twenty four losses. I was only twelve and twenty eight when in last week, so I'm only a hairsh worse than Stanford Steeve. So this could happen to anybody, even the good guy. Well, I'm using that you and him, You and him, you took his stuff last year. Him on the other guy yea,

even the bay. Well, I'm okay, I'm not gonna kiss the death myself today with that buff Come on, Buffalo, Buffalo. I'm sorry, Detroit. I'm gonna go throw some money, don't Yeah, I am just to just to make you mad. I'm gonna go throw some money on the game. All right, we'll be right back. We've got uh come on, Dolman, love it coming in. We'll talk some more about the years on the game. Just you know, from a former running back, what does he see? Maybe we'll ask him do you think Jon to me Camb

But we'll get with him in a second. And he's about to call in any second now. Maybe if I gave him the number of feeding that would be it. That would

help you. Yeah, here you go, Amon, is this you? This is me? Thank you. A hard time finding you. You're like an elusive running back you can't. It's still got the moves, Lamont. They got the move iPhone, iPhone always Silence is my call. I don't know why you're doing it, what it is, it's silence, eye on the ball. That is what he did. So there you go. You you you block right? Yeah, you get a good blocker. Hey up, So as you'r as you're doing your job on Saturday nights watching this team.

Uh, you have to be impressed with so many things. What impresses you the most? I would say the consistency in the high level that they're playing with right now, because you know it when it first at the beginning of the year, they were a little bit up and down. They did a lot of good things, but they weren't putting it all together. It

was either too many turnovers or too many mistakes to any penalties. But now, what impressed me the most about this last game is that they were able to play at a high level, not make a ton of mistakes, and in a very tough game where there was a lot of opportunities for them to break, they didn't break. They just continue to continue to fight. And that's what's been impressive to me. Yeah, you know, lamon le because you know, we saw the Washington State game where they just went out and

blasted them and they were never really under any stress. Uh you know a week ago or two weeks ago. I mean, yeah, Washington State went down and scored first, but then There's one quickly took control of the game and by halftime, I'm not gonna say the game was over, but they were comfortable, so they weren't under stressed. This game was stressful from start to finish. And and to your point that they just don't seem to waiver or they don't seem to lose focus or whatever, any one of those things

that you say can happen when you're in a game like that. Yeah. Yeah, And that's that's going to serve them well. You know, it's going to serve them well, because they're gonna play some more tough games. They're gonna play a really tough, resilient, well coached Utah team, I think, and then they're going to play a tough UCLA team. And I think everybody else on our schedule has their flaws, you know, but they're all still very well coached teams. And you know, we all know in

this conference on any given Saturday, you can get knocked off. So it comes down to learning how to play at a high level consistently. And I feel like even I feel like everyone's raised their level. I feel like the coaching staff has raised their level of coaching. I feel like the players have, you know, learned how to be more locked in on what they're doing and so and obviously the quarterback position has created has been pretty solid. So

it's been it's been fun to watch. Well, you mentioned that you talk about being calm and composed. I think it starts there, you know, before with with Jayden, as good as he is, you kind of he played with his hair on fire. Noah doesn't doesn't do that. He just kind of does his job. Nothing fancy, just uh And jedis talked about, you know, being a game manager. Well he's been exactly that.

Yeah. To me, I feel like the difference is, if I'm comparing the two, I feel like Noah plays within the confines of the offensive system, meaning he hits the ball out on time, he's you know, he's never you don't see a whole lot of improvise, and he kind of plays like right within the confines of the system. Very calm, He doesn't make a lot of mistakes. You can see he's making the right adjustments, getting him into the right places doing all that stuff. While Jaden has all the

knowledge and gets him into the right place and things like that. I think he tends to be a little bit more. Sometimes he goes kind of out

of bounce and back in bounds. And if we're talking about the confines of the system, and he likes to improvise a little bit, he likes to run around and maybe search out the big play sometimes, And I think that that's probably, you know, if I'm looking at a difference between the two, I think Jane likes to search for the big play and and I feel like Noah kind of just maybe let's that come to them a little bit more. And and Jamie's accustomed, you know, making a dramatic throwdown feeling and

making the bomb. So that's his strength, so we tend to look for that. In my opinion, that's how I see it as a as a college running back. I'm guessing you have a better look or a better sense of what's going on with this line that Arizona's guy and I, you know, go to that last drive that they had where they hadn't run the ball

well all night long. They up to that last drive, they had like twenty eight yards or forty yards rushing and then they just said, Okay, we're going to run the ball and we're gonna run down your throats and you can't stop us. And they didn't. What what do you see? You know, as a running back, it's like it's in front of you.

Yeah, they're well, they they have a powerful line and they've got some you know, they got a lot of experience on the line, and then on the on the the outside, they got two bookend tackles that can pretty much hold their own against any any challenge, and that that changes everything when he got two guys that can pretty much, you know, stand up against the other team's best players because usually on defense, you know, you're going

to try to get your best athletes on the outside. And we've got two guys you know, and Jonas Avnaya and and uh Morgan that you know, they can lock up teams on the outside and it usually gives you know, our quarterback. So from some time back there and that's different from how it was last year and that it was very up and down last year and when jayde and I think you read one of the reasons he probably runs around so

much as he was used to it. Last year's were he used to running for his life a lot, and this year you can actually kind of stand back there in the pocket a little bit. Now those challenges are going to start to go up a little more exponentially in the next couple of weeks because they're going to face two of the best defenses. Well just like they did this this last one. But still, it's nice to have a line that you feel like, you know you can. You know they can hold their

own no matter what, even if they're facing excellent players. You know these guys can hold their own. So there's no right or wrong answer to this. Earlier in the show, I said that if I were to pick an MVP to this point, I would pick Coleman, Jodah Coleman. He has been a workhorse. He's been unstoppable. In fact, when I saw him against Washington State on TV and under God, this guy is just good, just good, dependable. You want some yards, give it to him.

I'm not sure if I have the right answer, but you must love him, and just your thoughts on him. I do love him. He's awesome. I mean, anytime you can't get a guy that is that powerful, that's that versatile. He can catch the ball out of the backfield, he can run you over, I can run around you. And he run. He runs with such a physical style that people tackle him differently. They don't,

they don't just try to square him up. You notice guys are almost jumping at his ankles and at his shoe streaks because they don't want to get ran over by him. And that causes a lot of people to miss him because they see him coming downhill at him and they start thinking, Okay, I got to make a business decision here, I gotta try to square up on this guy. I'm going to try to hopefully trip him, and it usually they try to trip him and he just steps right over and goes around

him. So, yeah, he's a problem. He's really good, and he's got great vision. He's just he's really complete as a running back. Yeah. I mean, if I'm in my car and he's coming at me, you know, I'm getting I'm still getting the hell out of the way. He's like and I know, well, you know, we we talked abou Kadem Carrey, you know, and that Kadem was a guy that just played played hard, would run you over. As we said, you know when he when he hit you, he fell forward. Uh no matter which

way, which direction you came from, and you start. You see that with Jonah Clemban, now with DJ Williams, both of them do that DJ is a monster or him in his own right? I mean I saw DJ run over two plays in a row. They handed in the ball to gut. The first play, he ran over that Mascarinus Arnold, their starting linebacker. He ran him smack. Oh, he went head on into him and ran him over. I was like, oh my god. And then they ran the next play. And then this next play, Mascarinis went at his

ankles and he still ran him over again. Else. So let me let me ask both of you guys, because I thought this was funny but true to me. So did you listen to the tweet on the cheering in the locker room when Jed said, you know, Flow, he scares the crap out of him. He's got he's got a little bit of energy he was. It was just like, Yeah, this is the dude that's gonna come after you with the linebacker spot. Yeah, you gotta have guys like that.

I mean he played well too. He playing well, but but you gotta have guys like that who hey bring the energy, but not not just energy, but they back it up and you know, make plays and those kinds of things. Saw. You know, we've been seeing a lot more of of of justin flow over the last several weeks. And you know, and then and then you and then on who are we not talking about Jacob Monu, who's like, yeah, you know, he's been of the whole

thing's been steady, dude. Yeah. Oh and he's still playing at a super high level. It's just you know, he doesn't get all the hoop lit. But there's been so many plays where you see I saw him like run over alignment the other night, and I was like, oh, only he's you know, he's not big, but he's still he has a huge impact man, and he he creates a lot of problems. And and if alignman like the head is not on a school Jacob hit him right under his

chin and and knock him down. So he's tough, man, I mean, he's tough. Yeah. We're talking to Lamont love It, the color guy for a Wildcats Sports twelve nineties on you know, on the on the radio for with Brian Jefferis for Arizona games and a Lamont. When you look at the overall team, what what we're seeing? Okay, we're seeing a

team that's got, you know, a pretty good offense. They haven't been you know, like you know, they're not piling up yards and stats like they did last year, but still effective efficient with no offa feta running the show. A defense that's kind of catching up or has caught up, you might say, to the offense. And then Jed talked a lot about the special teams. I mean, these complete teams for Arizona don't come along very often. I think of Rich Rod's twenty fourteen team, right won the league,

but that league, that team was about the offense. I mean, what is that? I mean? I Am I wrong to say that that's kind of what we're seeing with this team. Oh no, that's a very accurate assessment. The thing that's different about this team is there's not a glaring hole. I'm not saying that we're just complete from top to bottom, but there's tell me one place where there's a glaring hole on the team, because I can't really think of one. I think on the defensive line, I

think they're big, physical, they're pretty solid. They got guys that can stop the run. They got guys that can get to the quarterback. I think in the secondary, you got these six four corners that they can hold their own Amanda man coverage or zone coverage. I mean, we've got some big safeties. Our line, our linebackers are coming downhill. Let you on

the offensive side, our offensive line is I mean they're physical. Anybody that's played us since you understands that they're gonna get punched in the mouth when they face this off into the line. And I mean we'll just look at the running backs. We got three awesome running back, four awesome running backs. We got two all We've got all conference level wide receivers team AC and counting. I mean, we've got we've got an all conference level tight end.

And our quarterbacks are playing at a high level. I mean there's just not then we got one of the best kickers in our conference too. We play it. We're playing great on special teams. I think there's a really, really complete team, and I think that we needed that to be able to go win that game on Saturday. I think if we were in any of those areas, if we weren't, you know, stronger, it would have

got exploited. Because Oregon State is a very complete team, and it's just it's it's neat to watch these guys watch this thing kind of come together. You know at the time that it is because they've improved over the course of this season. I don't know if you want to go here, but I want to put you on the spot like I put myself on the spot. So to this point, who is your m v P. That's a good

question. Uh, that's a that's a good question, you know. I think Jacob Monu has been the steady ass can be I do like on offense, I definitely like Jonah Coleman. Joonah Coleman has been an absolute said but shoot Mia Whiley is a monster too, man. I mean he showed us last week that, you know what, I'm still here too. I don't know. That's it's hard to say. I think we've got a lot of elements in the team. Probably I'll probably say Jacob Mono is so is the

most to me. I think he's so consistent that I would probably say him. Yeah, there's no right or wrong because everyone's playing so well, right, you know, heck uh and and Wiley who was out for a little while, and Coleman fit in. Uh, obviously Jayden was out. Now Fafito fits in. I mean, come on, Michael Wiley falls out of bed and comes and scores a couple of touchdowns, you know, you know, winning touchdowns. And the funny thing is those two touchdowns that Mike scored.

I don't know if any of the other guys would have been able to do that because it just the way he caught the ball and stride and the way he accelerated. I'm not saying there's no guy's fashion in him, but he's such a good wide receiver out of the backfield. And only people realized the last touchdown he caught. He had to make a great catch to make

that last touchdown because it was wide open. But Noah threw a laser and it was kind of out in front of him and he really like outstretched his hands to catch it right before he went out of balance and got his feet in. It was a great catch that he made, and I was just thinking, go, Olleen, man, this guy's he's like the quality of a wide receiver. He's got those that type of hands and rout running ability, so he's a he provides a whole another, you know, whole other

issue for defenses. I'm so I'm sure we got in here. We got to see goodbye. But I'm sure you and Brian are both enjoining the season. After a few years of nothing, we've seen a lot of wins. You must be having a lot of fun. Hey, there's people listening. Man. Of course, I'm having a lot of fun. We're getting w's and then we're doing it, you know, winning it in this fashion, and we're upsetting top twenty five teams, and you know, I'm having a

ball. So yeah, it's it's great. And I think Brian Will would say just as much. It's been fun as far, and I'm just looking forward to the rest of the rest of the season. Uh, lamon love appreciate him,

bring on and breaking down Arizona Jack mcgre're talking about the Diamonbacks. Starting to see a lot of photos and stuff coming in on Twitter from from Chase Field. So let me ask you this. Yeah, you've been here, you actually you were close to the Diamondbacks back in the day. How many Diamondback fans do you know? Do I know? Do you know like fans fans like the Ideah? Yeah, I have a number of like three. I was gonna say if if you had more than five, I'd say really three

and two of them are related? Okay, okay, well are you are you? Are you saying any fans at all? No? Or like in twos who actually cared might but in Tucson people into people who actually cared about this team. In me night right, three to my two sisters and and and one more so that'll tell you. Yeah, we have a collar. Hi you're on the ar and I on the ball. Yeah, this is Alan Phoenix. Howre you all doing pretty good? Al? How are you

all right? How much does the Russian commitment to Oregon dampen your spirits about the win against Oregon State? Zero? Yeah? Nothing? Well, first of all, he was gone a month ago, and you know what a guy, A guy leaving never never damp ins my spirits in terms of what they're doing, because if a guy doesn't want to be here, I'd rather he not be here. And I don't keep a crap about recruiting anyway.

And they say that because you've seen guys who have this big lofty uh stars or whatever you call them, and then they turn out to be nothing. And I'm not saying that's the case here, but there's a lot of speculation. Plus al it goes both ways, right, Arizona's gotten some guys like that, they've lost some guys like that, and that's just that's just the

nature of the game. If you get if you didn't get yourself worked up uh and feeling bad because an eighteen year old kid changed his mind about nothing that he's doing, you know what, you gotta fire, You gotta figure your life out. Yeah, I felt obliged to asked the question. I got one other thing for you. I don't think U of A is gonna miss in basketball. They're not gonna miss Creaser or Tabella's at all. That

was a edition by subtraction. I'll make that statement now. Yeah, okay, well I believes Okay, the dude is good, Yeah, good college player. Yeah, but when you when you look at the guys that they brought in to replace those guys, Yeah, yeah, you look at the guys, Yeah, sure, I hear you. But could score, Yeah, I hear you. He was terrible in big games. He was a zero. Yeah, I know. Rub it in a little bit. Thanks, guys, appreciate it. Thanks for the call. Now, something very

salty Monday. Very but we're still going to use this as often as we can. Yeah, what's you taling about Princeton? Like he's gonna be playing overseas again? You know he's he didn't make the team, No, he's Is he a league guy? He's no, he's a two way player. But I don't think they're gonna do that. Yeah. I think he's gonna go make a ton of money forever. He's gonna go overseas. I think it could be wrong, but you know it's like it's like he couldn't come

he couldn't come back because you're not gonna get any better. Well he wasn't. Yeah, he's the between guys. I mean he was you know, he was in that that mic L Wrights right where. Well, you know, if you can go make the money, go make the money. And if that means he goes and makes the money overseas, he'll be happy for Argentina. Man, there don't craft for Argentina. I'll take Lithuania wherever or wherever. I'll take whatever he's gonna make. Uh, you know, playing

basketball overseas play a game, right exactly exactly. So anyways, we're talking about time back. So to your point, I I really don't know. I'll have to I'd have to think about it. I probably know if you more, well, Bill Bill's you know, you call her Bill. He's a big Diamondbacks fan. Okay, So fur so that's four. I don't know many. I don't I know a couple maybe a couple, but you know, come on now, and I get it, they're the state team.

But not no, no guys or no people who would say, God, I hope they would, you know, in May would have said win this game? Right? No, no, there's I don't. Look, we had the we had the ball game on it at our tailgate party. We have a TV. We weren't we were't in football, and everybody was cheering for the diamondback. But who was the Diamondback fan in the room. It was my sister Lane and my she lives she lives in Phoenix. No Eline lives here now, but she did. She lived there for a while.

Weu she fell in love with Steve Finley when he was on and it was all about Steve Finley. But I just thought of that. But you know, but you know, no, she's she's a genuine Diamondbacks fan, My sister and her husband. So I count them as well. What maybe you count aaron genuine Diamondbacks and they go to Diamondbacks games, right, and they love the Diamondbacks and they're excited about all. Let's take this off. Hi, you're on the aaron I and the ball. Hey, you guys,

this is Gabriel. Gabriel. You guys are doing Are we having good Gabriel today? Are you happy today? Gabriel? Yeah? I am very very very happy. Okay, Arizona got a very important, very great win against Oregon State. So we're moving on the right right track. And so I'm happy with the way Arizona is. So I'm very happy. Good for you. It's not salty for forget what what do you like the most, Gabriel, what do you like the most about what you're seeing? Clearly,

Justice, she's a right coach. He really he really cares about this program. Johnny Nason and Dwayne Kina all the perfect fit on the defense because uh, Dwayne Quina is like Yoda, He's like the very statesman, uh, very old knowledgeable person helping guyy Nash and then uh and then the offensive and he now the the sun. Brendan Carol is a very offensive, smart guy and so everything and so I like the weigh how everything is going forward. So yeah, no, I agree, you gave. We'll see what happens

rest the way. Hey, and you're your USC Trojans almost almost took it, almost lost year. You would have been very happy this weekend. Yeah, too bad. Well, they're gonna get their asks tended to themselves Washington and then next week Oregon. So yeah, he m is going to be a US three pretty soon, so I can't wait. Hey, I'm doing on Hey, I'm doing some witschcraft and making making that scene happening. So

little voodoo on your over there? Uh uh Gay, little voodoo? Yeah, a little voodoo, all right, Gabel, Thanks a bunch man, have a good week, Bear down, Arizona, Go Cap, Gabe. But sounding good to do. Speaking of you know, he brought up you know who us he's gonna play the next two weeks. Did we say that in our bet that whichever team we picked has to win the league in order to win the we'd have to Yeah, you have to win the league?

Yeah? Yeah, because I thought they'd played each other. Right. Still, let me tell you I've said this all along. Outside of the US, I love best team. I love Oregon. Now you know you put you put it after my throat. Today I'm telling you organ winning the league. They're gonna come back. Well, Washington hasn't played well the last couple No, no, and I thought that Oregon played them in Washington. They

lost. I don't know if people are catching up with with Michael Panix and and what they're doing or what, but Oregon is more complete, right, They've got a defense. They should sut the hell out of Utah Washington, right, they shouldn't want Yeah, they shouldn't lost that game. Yeah, and they like them. But you know, the fact of the matter is

that they still they're still in it. They still got a chance. And I think, yeah, I think the College Football Playoff Committee, you know, if if if Washington and Oregon are playing in the you knowship in the championship game and they both got there without any more losses, and Oregon wins that game, Oregon has because I would I would put them against pretty much any team because they they're more complete, they're more complete, and they have

they have a lot of things outside of that one. A few moments in that Washington game, they should have won the game. Well again, and it's it's tough because it comes down to a couple of those you know, coaching decision that the coach made. We got look hocky or something. Yeah, and and and well didn't take them a couple of let's finish the show with that USC struggles there. They've lost their place. There's no question what's

going on. There's there's stuff going on. There must be okay, and then you have Oregon, who's playing very well, Washington who's not, and then Colorado, who's kind of refound its surface. Right, it's not it's not right. They're back where you thought they were gonna be. Right, they're not playing well, there's still you know each other. Right, There's just a lot of things like that. And I think the Arizona game down the road will get there when we get there, but should be pretty good

one. Arizona one of the two games that we thought that they had to win to get to six. Right, you know, the precincts are in from Oregon and Oregon because we didn't know. You know, it's like the presidential election. We got a wait for these votes and they got the two

Washington and Oregon, I mean, come out. We didn't we would have never thought this three four months ago now because we didn't know, right, I mean, you know, because we we talked about, uh, you know, we we kind of had I know, we mostly talked about two

games that Oregon, I mean the Washington State and Oregon State game. But I was also kind of throwing once the season, I kind of threw the U c L A game in there that they could come out of out of those three games, two wins, that they're going Bowlder, which they've done. They can. I think they can beat yourself. I believe. You know, when did you why didn't you like this team? When did I like, yeah, yeah, when did you like this team? I already

in Mississippi State because because they played like crap. They played possibly the worst quarter of Arizona football in the last twenty years. In the first quarter right which they played some back. You know, it was just I want to pull my hair out, and I remember I'm watching that game, you know, at a beach house in San Diego. I'm trying to be relaxed, and instead I want to, you know, smash my hand with a hammer

watching what they're doing. When you got to the end of that and the fact that they took that game into overtime, wait a minute, wait, wait a minute, you know what did we just see? Right? And then you know they went to finish or not there and then Stanford again. I got to the end of that game and thinking they should have kicked their

ass, but then they thought Arizona Roman uses that game. They play like that on the road against anybody, they lose, and they didn't lose, and then you saw what Fafeita did at the end of that game, and I thought, wait a minute, what do we have now with this? So yeah, so around that time in that in that time period, which is legitimate leg because I went into the Washington game thinking they're not going to

beat Washington, but they're not gonna blown out. It's going to be a game, you said, and I said, you know, And then I said that I thought, you know that. U. I thought what happened to USC was what was going to happen, that they would blame them to. Okay, they're up seventeen to nothing, and I'm like, guys, watch out. This team is actually pretty good. But you know, those two teams were in the top ten at the time and they lost. They

were supposed to lose, sure, but they played them well. For me, it was the Washington State game, and they played well against USC the week before and they just didn't win, and they got a chance. I think maybe they got a little smidge of it. But when they were dominating in Washington State, especially with Coleman, and they were just they said, they can't stop this guy. What's going on? And they couldn't stop him. And then they couldn't stop, and I'm thinking, thank god, something

here. Remember I asked Jed the question I think on the show, I said, at what point did you realize you have something? Because he has something, you know, and it look it's it's it's the nature of an Arizona fan like me to be cautious and actually to did not see what's there

right right, because you got you have to live. But we've just gotten our faces kicked in for so long, you know, like the twenty fourteen team, you know, even after they beat Oregon, yeah, you know, because that was relatively early in the season, right, you know, I still didn't think that they were a great team, sure, you know, and and and so it took a while. Then all of sudden you go, wait a minute, they have a chance to win the when the

when the packed off south and then they did. So, you know, it's our nature to not overblow you what I mean, we say things like that, but to think that it's all gonna come crashing down at some moment. That's our name. You are the kick dog. You are the kick dog. You know you're yeah, you're walking with your owner. And yet you think things are all good and all of sudden he kicks you in the side. Yeah, he says, all God, I knew this was gonna

happen you. He was gonna kick you in the sight. So next time somebody tax him, I'm just gonna let him get you. That was my owner. I'll show you. That's that's Steve. That's that's it. That's it, that's that's that's in theirs on the in a nutshell. Kick me again, in a nutshell. That's who we are, all right. That was it, man, great show to Dave. It was a lot of fun. Thank you Lamon love It for helping us out, and thank you Jack mcgrudor for giving us some stuff. The Diamondbacks. I hope the Lions

get their asses kicked tonight. And I'm gonna say it, oh Diamondbacks. All right, we'll see tomorrow.
