Breaking down all the exits at all. It's de Rivera and Jagans Dolln. This is High on the Ball on Fox four fourteen fifty Hey, welcome back to one of about here on Fox Sports fourteen. I'm Steve Rivera here, Jagon's Austen. I hope you hust break news. Oh yeah, I guess I canna hug that up right, because they do. High on the Fall Breaking news on Fox Sports fourteen fifty eight. All right, Um, so much stuff going on, so good news, good college football near is a
bad bad college football news. Um. The twenty of the biggest thing is that eight former Northwestern football players have hired a lawyer, a well regarded civil rights attorney by the name of Ben Crump and his law firm to represent them regarding the hazing case up at Northwestern. So the others eat right, and
that's the point. Very interesting thing was that this letter came out that said the entire Northwestern football team was signing onto that letter, and only one or two came out, and that they said one or two are quoted in the you know, anonymously in the Northwestern School student newspaper. But now there's eight former players have retained this attorney of Ben Crump. So now there's eight.
Whereas as you said, as I said, you know, there's a this letter came out that was allegedly and I used that term when it came out, allegedly the entire universe Northwestern football team was backing of Pat Fitzgerald and saying that none of this, that it's all overblown and none of this happened. Y gotta now you got eight and they expect there to be more. Well,
there was something, I mean, you read the story. I'm sure this wory about it up, but there was something in the story I think from the attorney saying that this is going to kind of expose all of college, all the coach from college athletic correct this uh a statement that was an issue by the by the law firm said from forced participation in humiliating act very important here, racial bias, to punishments that afflicted severe physical discomfort, sexual
abuse, and psychological trauma. The lawyers have uncovered a vast array of incidents of abuse in the Northwestern football program. Um then went on to say, uh, where is it. Our research suggests that this kind of abuse so student athletes may be far more common on college campuses than we know, because there's tremendous pressure to keep quiet. It's time for reckoning to protect young athletes.
And they say that they're they're not holding this, uh, this case to Northwestern only, right, Well, guess what, Jay, You're the perfect time to ask the people at SEC, the people of the Pact twelve, the people who are commiting at certain areas, right say, is this an issue you don't want to go an? Say no, none in my place, none of my MANI place the quote from the same and more players
are expected to join the legal action in the coming days. The legal action is expected to expand beyond Northwestern's football program, and we'll expose extreme and abuse of hazing in other college athletic programs as well well. It happened at my almamater just the run of last year at the Mexico State. It came out because two guys didn't want to put up with it anymore. And not surprising, right, as you shouldn't you shouldn't have to, but it's not surprising
to me. You've seen it in a high school level, You've seen it the youngers. There's always a there's always a dominance like they have to be, and it's not. It's not just by accident. It's a learned How can I say this, It's a learned thing because the previous class, the previous class. It's a continued type of life. And it's kind of like maybe you hated it when they were doing it at you, but now it's my turn to do It's very very much so it's a cycle that doesn't stop
like a lot of other things. Cycle's got to be broken right somewhere along the right and maybe this might be it. But uh, but again, the biggest thing to me on this team, as I said, was just this crap letter that came out from the team saying and they put the in caps entire Northwestern football team, and I knew that wasn't true. True.
I knew that wasn't true. Of course, right, No, of course that's what pushes me off, because you know who who's the guys that did this are the guys who wrote that letter and put it out and adding to the whole thing that if we think it's okay and you know, we're gonna keep doing it, sure thing true And so I hope all the here and here's the other thing, no other coaches and own, no other players have been disciplined so far. Why why haven't the players who allegedly did this stuff
disciplined? Yeah, I don't think that's gonna happen. I don't. I couldn't tell you why I think that. But I don't think that's gonna happen because I just don't think it's gonna happen. Oh, I don't certainly should the question. They should, but there's not that part of it won't come out. I think just the fact that they enlightened everybody that is happening that they won't go as they they said. They kept the head out the stink, right, got rid of the coach. Right. But I'm an agreement
with you. If he knew, if he didn't know, some of the assistants that we have, and they were sticking around, right exactly all right, a lot a lot more more of the whole law enforcement type in college football. Jeremy Pruett. You know, it was the head coach of the Tennessee They got, they got, they got banged the last last week. Jeremy Pruer, a sixth year a show cause, Um, say, what's
the big deal? I did this? At Alabama as an assistant coach, and he talked about instances at Alabama where he was handing out cash and uh, and he just didn't think it was a thing that was all that bad. And he did talk about in in his when he talked about talked to investigators from the NC double A. Yeah, I did it. I gave up you know, I gave him mom three hundred dollars. It was during COVID. She had no money. The fund that was helping you know,
students, you know who didn't have any money was out. I gave her three hundred back. And those are the ones that you go, that's okay. Didn't she give it to him because she would depressed because of George Floyd. Well I heard that, Yeah, well you know he said that. He said that in the context of all the things going on at that time. I'm including George Floyd and Dy. You know, this is a family and that's went through a lot of stuff. And he gave him the money.
But then the same mom later on down the road said, well, he gave us three thousand dollars at another time, and he's denying that he did that, or maybe two thousand dollars but you know, they've gone through and found records of massive, like five figure withdrawals of cash from his bank accounts that they're saying he was using that money. He was just keeping a you know, fun fund and that he's basically kept in his car to hand
out as needed. So, um, it'd be to see if there's any enforcement or if well, it's probably not because there's a statute of limitation to all of this. I don't know if it's five the five years, I don't know, something like that. So playing the Jeremy pru it's still still making news by some of the things that he was doing over at UM, over at Alabama and Tennessee and stuff. So all right, a couple of
the things. I'm a Zula's to balance. Actually signed his contract with with Philadelphia if you didn't play a whole lot at least not as long as you think. He got a two way contract. Yeah, yeah, he's going to be a league and he'll he'll you know, potentially be called up to the NBA. That's a few times. Did you see did you see his video that you will be produced? Not just kind of he was Zulus has been to Zolas doesn't say a whole lot just kind of choppy, which,
of course I would be decid do that now on the show. But you know, always does, always said is I just want to play. Yeah, it's whether with the main main team or with the second team. Um, I just want to play. That's what I love to do. Yeah, yeah, all right. Speaking of contracts, and I think I think you and I need to take a little credit for this one. Clancy Shield's
got a five year extension as a head tennis coach at Arizona. I think our discussion last week that we think maybe he was the best coach at Arizona this last year was maybe maybe the final thing that fashion the thing. He's certainly going to say that to him next time he's on the show, that he can thank us for making that statement, and they probably got him his five year deal. Yeah, Jay, I think we want a lot of matches this year. But thanks anyway, thanks for I appreciate what you guys
said, but thank you. But uh, he's he's gotten a five year extension to his contract, so good for him. You know, he deserves that. He's done, he's done some great work. So he's he's supposedly signed through twenty twenty eight at Arizona, right, which is great because he is one of the hidden gems at Arizona. He really is. He really is. Um okay uh on. On another another issue, Dave Lawn the coach got I fired from Arizona, but you got fired at Arizona. He's
he's got a new job at TCU. To see you wow, well, and that's a good program. Yeah, in the same capacity here, it's as as its third assistant or whatever that means. Okay, he's an assistant coach. I see you was really impressive this last year place they knocked Arizona yet, right, so they played really well in the tournament. Yeah, so so he's uh so there you go, did you go? Dave lan
Lands at TCU. Good for him, Bill, because again, whether they did a good job or a bad job, except for Kevin Sumlin, I'm always hoping to get another job somewhere, right right, Steve. I wanted to make a joke about get over already, but you know you're right all right? Um NFL running backs man having a tough time getting any contracts. Have you seen this stuff? No, Saquon Barkley, Tony Pollard, who is taking the place of Ezekiel Elliott is gone somewhere. Nobody's even talking about
him. But he's replaces Ezekiel Elliott for the Cowboys. And then um, the last one, um um um um, Gosh Starner, who's the last one. I had it right here? Um oh, Josh Jacobs at the Raiders. None of them could get contracts done. So they're all signing a franchise, the franchise tag um to play this year. We're about ten million
bucks. It's one of them. It's it's weird or not weird? Um that the running back position and this the pros is just it is, you know, so you know, I think I immediately think of b Jehan Robinson, who I think he said gets thirty million dollars guaranteed, right well, no, no, no, this is another contract thirteen overall who can get paid so endorsements by whatever it is. He's gotta, you know, he's got to make sure that he takes care of it because it might not last
long. But Derrick Henry Um, the running back at Tennessee who's widely considered the best running back in the NFL right now, tweeted out, at this point, just take the RB position out of the game. Then the ones that want to be great and work as hard as they can to give their all to the organization, it just seems like it don't even matter. I'm with every running back that's fighting to get what they deserve. Ladies, don't
let your baby's growth to be running by running backs. Exactly exactly I mean. But you know, it's been that that position has been devalued a lot over the last several years. All right over to SEC media days, Greg Sanky was on at the podium the of the um talking about NIL. You've actually said Congress needs to get off its button do something, he said, not because not because we can't do it. It's just that all these states have created they're all their own laws, he said. And not only did
the states create their own laws, they're not enforcing those laws. So there's no enforcement of any NIL rules anywhere. His quote was, we have no oversight, we have no state enforcement. We have states that don't enforce their own laws, that say the NC double A can't enforce in that state, so it's become nonsensical. Yeah, so he makes you say the only thing consistent get the bomb because of all they consistent the only places can get done
is in congress. He goes, I know they've got a lot of the stuff to do. They shouldn't have to be doing this, but we need them. But we had um the tooth catcher, uh the softball, that's right, um a while back, maybe a month ago, and she was fantah. Oh yeah, I see her face and I just can't uh, which was very she was brought on and how she described the situation. It's they're they're doing things that this was not the intention, not never intended to
do, right, And now you've the genie's out of the bottle. If there's no way this model is going to be uh closed with the back in the ball, you can't Yeah, you can't put the twoth face back in the back in the And then I don't know how. I don't know how they're gonna fix it. But I have no idea the kids to come here. They're getting any dogs. Yeah, she was fantastic in an explanation, and I'm thinking this is exactly it. Giving Jagin's always a truck or a
car or a next some money just to get here. Well, aout having to ever do anything is not the reason why you created this, right, Yeah, you created to give them an opportunity to make money off their names like when they're here instead of just giving them money for you know. And and there, you know, he talked about how you know that he knows
that that one of the schools they had a quarterback. He was there and somebody called him up and said, we can get you more over here, so I'll come over here, and jumped into the transfer port and he goes, I know that happened, and it's and we know what's happening all the time and that and that's not how this was supposed to work. So, uh, you know, really interesting stuff. And then the transfer portal stuff he talked about. You know, you could tell he he really wanted the
SEC to go to nine conference football games. He said, they just don't have the vote. They just got, you know, they got you know, there could be eight teams. I want to stay at eight games and there's nothing he can do. Could be a loss in there that they didn't want us I don't want to deal with. And he said, he said, look, this was eight conference game. Eight SEC games is a hard schedule, no matter why, right, So that's why they don't want to
add a nice because that just adds another hard game to your schedules. But everybody else is doing nine games. He wants the ninth game, but then he just can't able to do that. So it's it's been a tough golfer him on that. Um the real real quick, DeAndre Hopkins uh got signed getting signed or got signed by Baltimore. No, by the Tennessee time, Tennessee, that's what he There was an expectation that he was going to go to the Patriots, and the Patriots whatever, whatever they needed to do,
they didn't do. So DeAndre Hopkins received you real quick. Did you see a golf with Steph Curry. Yes, he's fantastic. He can do anything. I was just gonna say that guy hole at one. It's an eagle to win the tournament. I mean just talking about a guy who could fall out of bed and plays for it. Right. Yeah. Yeah, we're gonna be back with big game Boomer coming on. We'll talk about why he

This is I on the Ball with Steve Rivera and Jakin Zaleg on block Boards fourteen fifteen. Hey,
welcome back to ing about here at Fox Sports fourteen fifty. Stee vera He's Jakes also now on the phone. We have John Whitaker, better known as Big Game Boomer. How are you doing, John? Good? Good? Thanks for having me on. How we all doing well? We are. We love but we love having fun with you. You do some great stuff. Do you have like a real job with all this stuff you do? Yeah? Yeah, yeah, I'm work in finance, but this is kind of my what what I do? You know? On the side, it's
uh blown up and I enjoy it. I love college sports, well, we love we love the conversations that we get to have from from you know, the things that you put out. You know, I'm looking at you know, the your analysis of the various position groups and stuff like that, which I withdraw various that alone. I mean, do you do all that? I mean, because I know you're doing it for fun, and I know you're doing to start conversations, but you still have to have a sense
of what all this is. You got to be doing some research and stuff. I'm that gotta takes a lot of time, Guys. I've been doing this for this is the thirty year I'm doing this. I basically I get my sun down anything and I go to work. After that, I start, you know, doing research Brittany listen together, and then I just tweet them throughout the day. And I mean, that's that's the routine I've had
for like the last two years. And it's just it's all I know now, and I love doing it, and I love college sports and what I do on Twitter and Instagram. It gets people talking about it, and otherwise how I wouldn't be talking about it talking about other stuff. So um, I love what I do and just you know, I can't wait for this season we get started. Let's go with you, go ahead and go ja with the funnel ones. Okay, well you did put one out of Lohau
back. They've really got I'm gonna tell you got some Tucson people fired up about this. Whether you put out the best weather the College Times with the best weather, yeah, and you said you when people got spent sideways on this one, was that you put Tempe ahead of ahead of Tucson. We like to think of our weather downe here. While it's hot, it's hot as well, it's not as hot as it is up in the Phoenix area. So how did you come to that conclusion? And who did you talk
to about that? When I think of Tempe I just think that, Well, Tucson is further south, so you got it does get hotter there. So that's really kind of how I came to putting tempy ahead of too Sonny. Okay, well they just hunter what the truth is. But to that is it the officis because for some reason the Phoenix areas what they call is a what they call it a heat Uh, it's all concrete up there, so concrete jump that I know, like the airport Phoenix, Like I've been
there before, when like flights get delayed to the run way. Yeah, it's too hot. Yeah, it's times to ten degrees hotter up there all the time. So that's that's what people got worked up about. Now they'll do all the lake and all that kind of that they made over there. They stole some of our waters to build their lake. But uh, but weatherwise, I don't know. I think I think people that a little proud, a little proud of their weather. So we're gonna we're gonna call you
on that. What you can change it next year? And everybody had I definitely need to go back, Like University of Hawaii like quote tweeted that and they're like, hey, big game, Boomer we appreciate the law. Uh you know in other discussions, but you might want to redo this month. Yeah, I forgot about Hawaii. I was just so focused on the Continental United States, which was the one, which is the one that you talked about NAU that they had, remember the one we send maybe two three weeks
heil u. That's that BOT program and every state. Okay, well they are a great cross country track and field UM program had some great uh top ten bests in those sports and came down to that that. The National Weather Service in Tucson has issued a severe thunderstore warning for most eastern Pima County in

Tima. It's all it's fun discussion. Those kind of lists aren't. Yeah, and then there and there there are a lot of fun So today you did best offensive best offensive line, and you had Arizona in your top fifty, which that's you know. I'll now now everybody loves you. Hear. Um, tell us what you know about person offensive line and why you put them in your top fifty. Yeah, I mean they've got I think three start going back. I really like um a Rego left tackle, Jordan Morgan.
I he's a really good guy. Um Josh Baker at center. It's another person that I'm really strong about. He's the anchor of that line. Um. I mean as one offense is going to be really good this year. Um, they're not different, get the national respect. But people like me that you know, beet flee and breeze college football. Know that this offense is going to put numbers uh this year. And I think, you know, Michael Wiley is a good running back. I mean I had left
him on my top fifty. I felt bad about that, but still it's the running back to you or they got with with Wiley and Jonah Coleman. I think they're gonna have a lot of that offensive line is going to create a lot of holes and do a great job at protecting the laura in the backfield. You also have the there was a little special teams uh in the top forty. I think it was not too longer ago. Uh talk about that one. Kyle Austendorf, he's my guy man that he is a great,
great funner. I really like him. I think, uh J Jacob Towing is the you know, he's the guy that's getting a kick returns to bump returns. He's a playmaker. Anytime Jacob Cowing touches the football, he can score a touchdown. Um. So I like the special teams for Arizona. So you know in going to while this stuff, I mean, you know, are we talking you know, Georgia and Alabama in Ohaio State and Michigan and everybody else after that again this year, I mean, what are
your what are your thoughts going into all of this this year? Well, George, I mean Georgia has got to I mean they've gotten they've got the roster. I mean, they should be able to get to the national championship this year. I don't see how that doesn't happen. Now. I'm very high on Michigan. I think this is a year for them to really put it together and get to the national Championship, win a playoff game. But yeah, it's the usual thoughtspects. It's Georgia, Michigan, Ohio State.
You know who's gonna be that TCU that's gonna come out of nowhere and make it to the national Championship. I think there's a few schools. I'm high on. Oregon State, Wow, I like, you know, Hit is a sneaky good team in the ACC. You just you never know. I think the transfer portal has really created more charity in college football, so you know, we'll see. Um. If you had to ask day, I'd say my college football playoff is Georgia, Michigan, Florida State and LSU would
be all right now and it's coach Sabans. He's on the Yeah Alabama. Hey, I was at Alabama spring game and man, that quarterback situation the reason they got a transfer right after that spring game because I mean, it was an ugly show at the quarterback edition. Yeah, it was not pretty at all. Um, So not surprised at all. They went out and
got a guy in the portal. Yeah. Interesting because I think I think Paul Feinbaum's in trouble with him as well, because he was on his show today saying that that that Alabama's got to win a national championship this year, could have Nick Saban's like legacy, and I'm like, what are you talking about. I don't know about one of twelve national champions Just what are you talking about? Yeah, he's still He's still the goat, regardless of what
happened this season, stopped to stay on top. So you mentioned Oregon stake some of your thoughts on the PAC twelve patwelve media days coming up on Friday. Uh, we're you know, USC and us LA in the league for the last time. A lot of people talking about USC being a playoff contender. What are your thoughts going in with? You know this is the most excited I've been about pack fall football then gosh, maybe the USC days with Liner and Reggie Bush. I mean, you've got a quarterback play and this
conference is going to be phenomenal. I mean you've got Caleb Williams, Michael Ennis, Junior Bone Nicks, Jaden Delora, Shanor Sanders will see how he does it Colorado, Dante Moore at UCLA. I mean, these are all all these offenses are going to be off the chart. Um. I think or they're a sneaking good team because they've got a really good defense and very physical football team. I forgot to mention Utah as well. I mean there's
five or six teams that they could win this conference. And that's the problem though, you know, they haven't been to the fact the college football playoffs since Washington was there in what two thousand and sixteen, And I think it's the conference is just going to cannibal as itself because there's there's so much talent and there's no clear dominant you know front runner. Um that that's gonna just know go undefeated. No, we all agree with you. We talked about
that. In fact, all the good quarterbacks in the league there was another one a couple of days ago, four days ago, effect the most loyal college found base in every state. You did, in fact, to pick the Arizona talk about that. I better, Yeah, you put it Arizona. The fans are, I mean, basketball wise, they're one of the best in the country. Football, they're starting football fans, They're they're coming
out of the woodworks. I'm starting to see a lot more Arizona chatter on social media, and I just I think when it comes to loyalty, it's just they're the fan base has the support of Jed Fish, and I just I think that they're they're more loyal than Arizona States when it comes down to it. I mean, I don't see a lot of people are there is in the state baseball or softball or basketball games UM the at Arizona UM. So that's just my take on that down there. I think you're probably right.
And the thing the thing up up in up in up at a SCU is that you know, with with all the post sports that they've got, you know, their fan base is really divided, you know, with the Cardinals, the Suns, you know, it's a lot of I mean, the Phoenix areas a lot of people that are not from Arizona. I don't have any affiliation with the school. I think in Tuson you get more of that kind of you know, overwhelming support from the city where I don't think
you get that intempered. Yeah, no, I You're you're You're one hundred percent accurate on that. You know, you go to you go to an airs on the Cardinals game, and you know, half the team, half the fans or Cardinal fans, and the other half are the other team, and so it's, uh, you know, that's a that's a that's a usual thing, and that's all. Going to go go to a Dodgers Diamondbacks game up in Phoenix, you know, may being a Dodger fan, but you know they amazed a lot of you gotta be a d Back fan.
You know. I grew up and we had the Dodgers on the radio here growing up. I've been the Dodgers fan all my life and okay, I couldn't change it. You know. I sort of got involved with the d Backs through some work we were we we named the spring training facility down here the company that I worked for. So I was kind of a Diamondbacks fan for a while, but never really stopping a Dodger fan. And it just again from growing up here in town. They were they were two sons team
because we had among the radio there, so that didn't go away. I get it. That's I mean, you know, that's just there was just no change in man. So what do you just maybe last week you only have like ninety seconds. Uh what's your next list? And then how do you come up with this craziness? Uh? Well, defensive lines Uh, Topicy Defensive Lines is coming out tomorrow. Um, I mean book, it's just me. I ranked all the players by position group. Uh that like

to give us a quick call. Thanks to Tommy forgive us the education on the elevation of tempting Phoenix and Tucson. Should have told Boomer that, yeah, well, and what are you gonna do? Um. So, we were talking about where we thought Arizona would finish in terms of the media poll. I'm looking at the future of God the wind Pollo. So you've got Stanford and Colorado both decidedly below Arizona at Stanford at two and a half wins, Colorado three and a half wins. You got Arizona ascu a caw All
at five winds or four and a half depending on four. Arizona. Somebody's got the Arizona at four and a half. Who um, look, FanDuel jump all over that. Fanduels got him at four and a half. Yeah, wow, wow, you get that right, you go MGM drafting everybody else hasn't five? Five? Yeah the Tels you need sick, Yeah, you need six. Yeah, that makes sense. I think that's more even five. It's I think it's a decent path, you know. I think
it's more more realistic to go over five. The nunder five right by five is harder because now time, I don't I'm only winning four games right right right, If it's a five and a half, you say, okay, five and seven, I can see them doing that. Yeah, but I don't think they're going four and eight right right. Yeah, if you're gonna I haven't been any of that. You had it. They gave you. They gave you free money two and a half last year. They gave you
when they bee at San Diego State. It was like, all right, I've already hit this because they were gonna have Uh. The only thing the only thing you didn't do is put more money on it, because you know, you just didn't. But I'm sure it's you think, you know, because it was a lot more money on it than my wife finding me to have one. But I got all excited. I thought I was gonna win this pen. She goes, what the hell are you doing beating that kind of money on? How did you see them play? I know, I
know, I know he'll take your calls. On Tuesday four one, six seventy four four, we've been talking about a lot of stuff. Big Game Boomer was on talking about you know, how he does goes about his business. I can't imagine almost time he spends you know, for a whole year, years or stuff like that with thal with a four year old kid, a little as he said, he called him a little game Boomer, which
I thought was pretty funny. Yeah, I mean, and the list, you know, sec sec all these justs are different, right, Um, packed up, Mediaday coming up. Justin Spears was on in the first hour. We'll be on there. Well we'll find out, you know, are we gonna get anything out of Jane de Laura and or jet this? Yeah? I should have passed them most situations. I should ask him where he thought there was gonna was in the land? Um, in the in the
league. I'll find out, right, he always you know, he'll be the one post, so we'll hell, I'm sure he'll post his pick. Um. I bet, I bet, I bet Justin puts them put the set, yeah right, probably ahead of Stanford, Cal Colorado a SEU, I mate puts them ahead of those four teams. Say that would be that would be no you said no, no, Um you know the last time. Yeah, um, well maybe maybe eight. I don't know. Yeah,
I'm not too sure. It's hard to say. When he talks about Oregon State, it was hard to even hear that because they've been so obscure over the years. But they didn't have a good, pretty good year last year. I you know, because again because I'm because I'm that guy, right, I just remember, I just think of what Arizona does is what other teams are gonna do. I feel like there's so many people talking about Oregon State this year, it's gonna get to them and it might not be
as good as everybody thinks. Well, and apply that same theory to Arizona, right, But see, I think there's still people's say that Arizona is gonna but see the world total is five right for Arizona. Okay, so people are thinking Arizona is not going to a bowl game this year, or at least that's what that's what the uh so they got fans who thinks Oregon State or stay in half? Oh? Really Yeah, I would take the under on that bow. Yeah, I don't well get to see their schedule.
Suit's life. Yeah, but uh you know so no, I guess Yeah, if they were in Arizona was ahead of four teams, they would still be eight. So I don't think you put them ahead of Washington State. You certainly don't put them ahead of Oregon State or you see how Yeah, I bet you, I bet you, justin most guys pick them at I bet that's where the realistically, I think that's whereas well. Eight and if you win seven games, that's a pretty good that's a pretty good conference.
That's a pretty tough conference. While you look at the teams. If you look at you know, this year, Utah two time defending champion. Yeah, who did they open with the n of you? Right, Arizona? Right? Yeah? In Mississippi States. That second game, that second game on the road up, that's gonna tell you a ton. I mean, if they go off and do something stupid like beat Mississippi State. This place is just gonna go. You already have it as a loss. I do, and they'll still no, no, no, no. Yeah.
I think I think they go two and one and they're they're in their who's up to cheat? Okay, yeah, you step here? Yeah, So I think they go to on one. All right. Then now you got to go get four games to Beliegue, you know, if you get the ones you're supposed to right as u and in Colorado. Okay, all right, you get those two and Stanford that's three. Now you just got to win one true kind of true. Put bring it up. Let's see Okay the schedule, all right, um, all right, as we said,
opened at home at home against NAU then go to Mississippi State. Okay, that's the one. I just see them being one one and one. At that point you've come home and you've got up, you've got utap two one, and they're they're two and one. Then I you know, I'm still calling it up here. So, um, I think they go to they go to Stanford and they've got to get that another one three to one. So so they're three one one. Washington at home three and two at USC
three and three three. Then you got these two games at Washington State in dependent on weather and all kinds of other things. Oregon State here, who so let's okay, let me just say they lose both three and five. Okay, just just for personal and then we'll go the other way with it. Okay, Ucla here, Uh, they always find a way to somehow
play. Well. Let's let's assume for a second they win the one four or five, four and five, go to Colorado five and five, five and five, Utah here five to six, and then ah, that's a shot game down to that, right, Yeah, yeah, both games, especially the it's a three game, four games stretch where it's um at Washington
State. You got Washington USC back to back. Okay, no, right after that, and then Washington State Orgon State those two games in there right there, and then one of those games they'll get to six and you'll get you'll get to six then maybe second right right right one of those two. Because I think they don't. You almost wish that if your heirs off, almost wished they were flipped because if you're like, Washington State is a more winnable game, if that's on the road. Yeah, right, if a
Washington State game is here, I'm calling that a win. Well, yeah, but you did that last year too, I know, and that was that was a disaster like raft. That was a disaster game. And I think that could happen again. But again Oregon Stakes but down here and that could be a game they'd say you shouldn't win, but then you do. Yeah, everyone's always good for one of those fronts because they're also good for the other way. We're also good for that. And things are going well
for those guys. Their coach is doing a good job. You know, if they're playing for a bowl game. Who knows if if if I were to bet it now, well, i'd say plus five and a half, I mean i'd go over, you'd go over on the I'd go yeah, because the issue game is going to be a pivotal game. That could be the winner. And I agree with Jake, maybe for the first time that they can and they could get to a bowl game and who knows they played who who they played in them whatever, No, you're you're six and six.
You you know you might have a game against a group of five games. You go beat those guys. And now you got seven, so it's too it's doable. It's hard, especially when you realize how good, um, you know, how good Utah is gonna be, how good USC is gonna be, how good Washington, Utah, USC, Washington and Oregon are four longs. Yeah, so unless they're way something stupid and win one above. Well, I say this to you, Oregon State, they're not Oregon
State in Arizona are not equal. Bro' don't know what I'm saying is both those four games are to me, the games that I see is unwinnable games. R you market today, you mark those down as lost? Yes, right now? You lean loss or Oregon State, right, you lean loss or Washington State because it's at Washington State and what are you then? And Ucla just because they're UCLA and is a bunch of wheenie. I think you can beat them here? Okay, okay, but but realistic good it's it's
probably sixty forty yeah, sixty yeah. I put Ucla in the same spot as I would put Oregon State right a game that you probably should lose, but maybe you can win. And plus those two games are I'd like to think that they can win one of those two games at home and then if you go be Washington stayed up there. Now you're talking possibly getting too seven. Yeah, yeah, I think it's easier said than done against Washington State
given the circumstances. Always raft up there, rainy, it's cold, you know, if Arizona throws the ball around a lot, it's you know, it might be a tough place to win. But they've also gone up to Washington State and win some games that you didn't think that they were gonna win. Uh, you know, by November eleven when they faced Colorado, it's Colorado kind of go where's that? As it's that Colorado who's gonna be cold? If not is gonna be cold? By that time, you'll know who
they're if they're doing a good job coaching. Is that when they start to get better right in Arizona, come and say, hey we can beat the Arizona because they're gonna feel that way now they're gonna have now they got Utah here right. So again, you know those are chances for upsets. You see what happens. But um, I don't know, as you again, you never know, you never you never put that in the win column. But I don't you win on that one. Yeah, yeah, they're gonna
have some growing things. I think they're gonna go through what ares and I did not so much the first year. Right there, Jed Mary's is gonna got on a hundred times better quarterbacks than they're gonna happen. Yeah, No, they're they're He's gonna have a lot of rebuilding to Yah. Yeah, he's got a waste up. But I still think they'll they'll be You never
know, You've seen it a thousand times. I've seen it a half a dozen times where you don't know the winner, the predictive winner never ones that game, you know, go to Mississippi State when when that game come back to three? Yeah, who don't speak three and all? And now kind of like okay, let's go. Yeah you know, but if they don't play well in that game, you're gonna think, oh no, right, Yeah, But I think this is different, even me, mister negative,
I think Jed has something. I really do because because the talents much improved. Right. But I've always said to just a country, that's myself here, um that everyone's getting better too, right. But but I know what I know, I know what I see. Yeah, and Ed's Jed's doing a very good job unlike other coaches, at least seeing the last few years. He cares and he's got people, and you know it's a players just
look difference as they never looked at Arizon. No. No, yeah, I mean, I tell us Farry about I went to the the ninety eight the first BCS game was it was it the Festball Tennessee in Florida state h And I had pretty good I was on Festball committees. I had pretty decent seat, and I was staying behind the Tennessee bet so you can see. And I looked looking at their players. Yeah, one specific player he was
like, he was a linebackers. And I looked at this guy and I said, first of all, that guy can't be twenty one years if any one twenty two years old. Secondly, Arizona has never had a guy no knowing like that ever ever after know, well, let me tell you San Diego, or went to San Diego and they played the Nebraska. Yeah, donhimasue DONI however's history Dominican sus Domican sue. He destroyed Arizona by himself right
by, and you didn't see guys like him. Yeah, I'm not appealed on theriz little slide, and then and then the kid justin flow he locked into that press right else said, I'm like the Arizona has never had one of those. No, very impressive even just how he fundled himself. Yeah, and then how he answered the questions to me where I can't remember reminiscent of somebody, but obviously he came in. I could only dream to look like that. I can't even you could never put my head on top of
that body. And they haven't look right ever. So so I saw that kind I thought, there's there's there's something going on here that's different from whatever has gone on in no question, which is very encouraging for jed Um and the program. You know, how else do you explain there? Yeah, because it's hey, even me, mister Mikey doesn't like you. It's not only the they're getting the players, but then what they're dooining with them when
they get you. Yeah. Right, there's an attitude, there's a few working hard, the hard work that they're putting in here, you know, all of those things. I mean, it just seems like it's all adding up to something that you think might be pretty good once Heason gets so we'll see what he looks like. Hey, once it does get coming, a good shows mine. It's the two goodest that we lost exactly for. Yeah, we're gonna try and get those two minutes back at the top and at
the top of the show. Justice appreciate it. Thank you as always, and we love having Big Game doing around. We'll get him out again during the season. So thanks for ing here and we'll talk to you tomorrow.
