I was just gonna ask you, what do you think the over under is with expansion with PAC twelve by Friday? Um? No, I'm beginning to think that nothing, nothing's even gonna happen on by Friday. Do I feel like if you don't do it by Friday and there's nobody's saying something about to happen, then yeah, then you know,
why rush it? You've already missed the Sandy stake dead line. You know, it's like, you know, I rush it. It's been a year, yeah, plus a year in over a year. Yeah, I think the people. I don't know if people are just tired of it already, like me, I like me, I like you, I can I'm not living by it and I'm sleeping losing sleep already. I think you're over that now, Yeah, I am, Yeah, I am. I mean I do want to know what's going on. I feel like either, you know,
either gonna expand or not. I don't think anybody's going to the Big twelve right now. Um you know that could they next year? Right? Maybe in time? Right so you know, I don't know. I don't see I don't see anything like that happening in right now. And it's like, okay, just just get it done so we know who we're who we're dealing with the rest of the fall. Yeah, so we'll see. It's gonna be interesting. I think that there's a media or or coaches. I
think the poll comes out as well. Right, we talked about this. I think of pH Land about eighth length. I bet you they're like eight faith or line fair, that's fair. I think they'll be ahead of a SU Colorado and Cal now Washington State and Washington State. They got a good quarterback. I think Washington State. Kel's got a new coach. I know, Stanford guy, No, yeah, Kel's got a new coach, Troy Taylor. I bet their head of those three teams got Stanford guy, yeah
no, no, yeah, Taylor from Cal yea from Cal. Correct, right, I bet that I bet their head of Cal Colorado eight is fair. Eighth place team according to you and our boy Jake, six seven wins, that's pretty good for a deep, a deep competitive league, if that's the case, right, yeah, yeah, definitely. I think that I could see them finishing even you know, seventh place. You know you've finishing
ahead of maybe Stanford as well. Yeah, um maybe even yeah right, you know question yeah, so uh, you know, maybe if they finished seventh, and if they get six wins, they finished seventh and they you know, they go to bowl games somewhere and everybody will be happy. Yeah. Yeah, a lot. I think a lot of people would be happy given the progress of the program. So we'll see what happens. There's a
lot of buzz obviously, Yeah, the most buzz in a while. It is you know there, there's people, you know, there's a lot of stuff. You see a lot of social media. Um. I get a sense that even like you know, the Zona Zoo is going to be you know, a lot better this next year, or shore students going to the
games. They seem to be getting a little more jazzed up. So we're gonna we're gonna have them because we've always promised imbody just to say, you know, what the heck I mean, it's not on them, discourage, it's on zon Zoo forever, right right, sure, Oh you know where out where, reach out to them, give them a chance to to there's
some ways defend themselves because we've been critical of them. Yeah, they pumped their group up because you know, yeah, no, it's it's it's I think it's I don't know how many of them listen to us, right, No, there's a couple of old guys on the radio. But we're going there. We're boomers, aren't they know we are. But you know, on the other hand, UM, maybe they'd like to know they're like our audience, you know what, you know what they're doing that because we have

Just you know, several years ago I went to Houston, numbers miserable. Yeah, I just remember Houston. Come getting off a shuttle bus after you know, getting on you know, getting on the shuttle bus at the airport, then getting off the shuttle bus. My glasses fucked up. Yeah, good time here in
the summer. Yeah, yeah, it sucks. Yeah, it sucks like July. Yeah. No, I spent a long time down there covering stuff for the paper. It was. Let we'll talk about that down the road. that is currently an under an underdog in every game. So maybe there is a chance that that'll be So that'd be Stanford Cal, Stanford Cal. So that could be seven. They're gonna win six seven games? You think them to finish near that near six? Seven? Yeah? You never know? Yeah, I am. You know, here's the here's the deal. They're gonna be in the middle of the yeah, well yeah right, yeah,
and nobody, nobody's going to project him to finish in last place. So I think that, Uh, I think that it's sort of a good way to go into this season, right because I think there were still a lot of people taking him for last place last year, if I recall, yeah, probably right, well, there's there was none us to hope on. Ye, Now, I'll have to look that up. Uh, I believe, I believe that they were they were picked to finish uh last last year.
Now if they're fick, big Fish eleventh only ahead of Colorado last year. So yeah, and then who knows this show? What do you think cover ahead of Colorado? The show picked not ten? I think I think the media here are on the PAC twelve Okay, okay, is much more
skeptical of of of Dion Sander, of coach Brian the national media. No, they're not, especially the better I mean, did you see that, like sixty one percent of the bets, Yeah, on the PAC twelve champion are on Colorado because they're what's the one of the odds, Yeah, because of the odds and stuff. But nonetheless there's a bunch of people out there throwing some money on him, saying you know, I I think not even what they call that in the real world dead money. You had money,
because that has no hope of winning any movie. It certainly could be in certainly should be happy. You know, they ever under on win still is three and three? But you know, you know that in also you know, the defense you know how Arizona kind of views this upcoming season. There's a lot that we're going to ask get Fish and Jada Delora this upcoming Friday. But man, it's
going to be a circuit show man, it's going to be. It's absolutely crazy, just so many storylines that you can talk about. And yeah, it's for me a while time in Vegas and that's it. And that's you know that the James Delord thing is probably the storyline sort of for you know, for guys covering Arizona. Um. You know, Steve and I have talked a lot about that that they might have been able to diffuse some of it by doing something locally before they showed you know, they showed him up
at at the Pac Club. Me today, what are your thoughts on that would you have I mean, I think you would have liked to be able to talk to him, you know by now about all that stuff going on. But do you think that it becomes too much of a It could have become too much for him and for the football program this Friday, Well, it could be very interesting because you know, when you think about it, I mean, does Arizona really generate a bunch of interests from national writers?
You know, guys can cover the Pac twelve? Um, I don't really think so. I mean outsider maybe you know what people think about I was going to possibly going to the Big twelve because we've heard about, you know, the four Corner schools being linked to the Big called should the past twelve has completely become extinct, and you know that's of course we're going to ask Arizona about that. But as far as as Jada Delora goes, you know, I think that he's going to answer a lot of tough questions. I'm
serious, you know what questions will be thrown at him. I mean I have a few, you know, already going to write down it. And one of the top questions that you know, I'm going to ask Jayden is you know what, when did Arizona know? When did you tell them? When were they informed about all this with it? You know, before you transferred Arizona with it after you know what was the communication rights between the two?
And I think you know for Arizona, you know, they had two months to prepare for this where the news dropped on Jada Delora back in May, and so you've had two months to get Jayden media train and he's been in several press conferences all that Arizona and Washington State. So if you've already trained media wise in the last couple of years, but you know, you really get him polished on answering the questions correctly. I'm really wondering how transparent
he's going to be. But you get game go a out in pastwall media day. You allow him to face the music, answer the tough questions, and then you move on from it. And then you know, you can kind of, you know, pull the old Sean Miller, you know, when he was a coach at Arizona and just say, oh, just refer to my statement that the pastual media day, we're going to move on from this. We're folly focused on football at this point, I think that's going
to be the game plan for Arizona. And honestly, it's it's a really good game plan because you know, it shows that, hey, you don't have nothing to hide. You can throw out Jaga and he can answer those tough questions. And it's also that you know you're doing it at say, Passwall Media Day as opposed to Arizona Media Day, because where's all the attention at it. It's about the media, right steal, It's about comperenceor realignment beyond Sanders and prime time being at Colorado. So I think this is a
good scenario for Arizona. You said that you'll answer the questions. Do you really think that he'll You talked a little about this, but do you really think he's gonna answer the questions? No? I totally agree with you. I totally agree with you. That's why I asked the questions. I don't
either. Yeah, And see that's the kind of the unfortunate part about our job is, like Leando, they're not going to answer it, but you have to just because it's it's what we have to do, you know, and um, you know you have to risk Oh maybe he will be transparent. But you know, you guys know this better than me. It's it's gonna be very day since you know, Jade is going to say refer to my lawyer or I'm not going to answer anything because it's a legal case and
I can't talk about any of the details. But we're not going to get really anything out of Jaden the lawyer. But at the end of the day, you address it, you will. It's the first time that Jaden's spoken about it publicly. He's gonna get it on the way and then Arizona can move on to the football season and get ready for any U on September.
Second, all right, so let's move on to that. Let's the what are the on field storylines you think you know are coming up, whether it's U of A or the Pac twelve that you know things are going to get talked about this week. I mean, what are we what are we talking about? On the field? First? On the field, the Pack twelve
is as good as has been in several years. I mean, from top to bottom, we've seen Organs Washington, We've seen these teams represent the conference to be the flagships programs for this conference and go and go into the CFP. But now you have USC in its last year in the Pac twelve with Kati Williams. They're defending the Hiveman Trophy, winning quarterbacks coming back, USC roading up on all sorts of transfer portal editions, some from the University of
Arizona like a Dorian Singer and Keyon Bars and Christian L. Wallace. You know, USC is gonna be a really good team this year, and I think that there will be a team that can compete for the College Football Playoff and that would just be such a summer. You know, if USC were able to get into the CFP for last year that they're part of the Pack twelve, and of course it's you know that team that goes through the CFP, you know, USC becomes USC again and then they just decide to get
out on the Pack twelve. Ess it's a very sad situation. But I think USC will be a really good team this year and I'm really excited to see worth the Washington Huskies are going to be able to do this year. I mean, I think offensively they might have the best offense in college football. And with Michael Pennox junior back, who's you know, one season in as the starter for the Huskies. Washington arguably has the best receiving core in
the Pack twelve. And that's bes a lot because you know, down here in Tucson, Arizona, you got Tamac and Jacob Howelling, and these guys are really good in NFL prospects. But that just really goes to show how Bill Washington is in the receiving corps. So I think Washington will probably be the highest scoring offense in the Pack twelve. There'll be a very fun team to watch this season. And you know, even teams like organ State, you know, getting dj Ua La from Clemson and danteeing More at UCLA.
Because the five star quarterbacks bone knicks at Oregon. The quarterbacks in the Pack tworld are as good as a gift. And I didn't even mention Jaden Delard. You know, we were just talking about his wishywashy off season, right, you know, he was working out with the Manning brothers. But then he also had that incident, know with the civil case. I still think
Jaden Delara can be one of the best quarterbacks in the Pack twelve. You put on thirty pounds of good weight, which I mean his muscle he looks like he knows as some body armor to him and didn't really lose a touch
running the football during springball. And now that he's been one year in the Jetfish's system, and it was it was alert, it was there was a really big learning curve for him because him and Jed they just got together and then we're like, all right, we're gonna go through the growing things and
we're gonna work out the kinks as we go. Where you know, you look at other quarterbacks across the conference, like like Michael Pennocks, Bo Nix, k of Williams, you have, those guys were transfers, but they were all familiar with their coaches fired Cranford. Jaden didn't have that luxury. Now that he's been in Jetfishes's system for a year, I really think Jaden Delora is gonna have an impressive season. So last year, Arizona's offense had
to score a lot of points because their defense wasn't very good. Do you think that's going to be the case now? I don't think so, because you know, the defense is much improved and I think, you know, one of my biggest takeaways from springball is they addressed up front. They got you know, transfers from from Georgia, from UCLA. They got some guys you know in the high school ranks, but um, you know there's the defective line and transfer that they got from Utah as well. Like they got
some really big bodies up front. But what these guys are not going to do is recording a bunch of tackles and you know, have a bunch of statistics that are going to show up at the box sports. They're just gastiality. They're big bodies that are going to be able to hold the line of scrimmage. They not create lanes. So running backs in the Patwalfy just run up and down Arizona. They're gonna be able to clog the holes and allow
Jacob Manu who's just got and those for the ball. He's everywhere and wherever the ball is, Jacob man is going to be there. And then justin flow, you know, the former All American number one rated the M five linebacker who didn't really work out at Oregon, can he you know, crapp into his potential and really show why he was one of the best prospects for
the twenty twenty recruiting class. If those two can be the leaders of the defense and really get after stopping the run, and I think the Arizona's defense is going to be much improved this year. And also, you know Isaiah Taylor at one of the starting stafy spots Jackson Turner entered the transfer port h led the Wildcats and interceptions last season, albeit it was only just a couple of Arizona. They were last in the past Wolves in interceptions, even though
turnovers were improved. Isaiah Taylor, I could have sworn, had maybe six or seven interceptions hearing a two setting throughout spring ball. So if he looked at the Ballhawks as we all know yet the game sailing interception against AFU. He's the son of an NFL Hall of Famer. He's a really good player and I expect him to have a bunch of interceptions this year for Arizona.
So defense is going to be very much improved this year. And when you couple that with one of the top passing offenses in the country, then now we're talking about Arizona. Gold Boy, what did you think of the job Johnny Nansen did last year? Because I mean they there was the defense wasn't
good but did you like what they did? Did you feel that it fit with what Arizona can or should be able to do with the with the with the players that it has well because the recruiting class that they got, all the great freshman and also the trans reportal guys, what Johnny Nason decided to do was like, Okay, rather than rely on the veteran, let's just simply get out our best talent possible. So we got to start playing for
freshman. We gotta start playing some younger guys. And what's the second half of the season came and those those freshman a gout the mental reps and you know, they were part of the cost football culture and really got adjusted to
the speed of the game. That's when he started to see you know, Jacob rich Land, the walk on from modern day Tay Tay Yulia go away On, you know, on defensive ends, all these throwing Deuce Wayne Douce Davis like these all freshmen were really starting to impact Arizona in the second half of the season. And then Jacomano being the kind of Scout Team superhero, all of a sudden he takes over kolbe Cage's spot and doesn't turn back. I mean, he earned that spot and he started making plays. So Johnny
Nanson started to rely on his younger guys. I think it was a brilliant chess move on his part because all of these younger guys now have legitimate playing experience. And then you have those guys coming back and they're kind of like your veterans. And then you bring in a Justine Flow and a Build Nordon and a Tyler Minoah on the defensive lines, and you bring in transaportal guys. You marry that with the young players who got the rep last year.
And now we're talking about Arizona's defense really taking a significant step forward. And you know, lastly, for me on Johnny Nanson, I give him a ton of credit because he made the decision to really start using that dollar package where Arizona was using seven defensive backs. If using seven to defensive backs, if that's getting their best players out on the field, and so be it.
And you saw a few Dames Price Socket getting the game, and the car of Davis and all these other dvs or just kind of statsed away on the bench, and next thing you know, they're out here making play in good time games. So I think Johnny Danson, Yes, he kind of took his lumps at the beginning of the season, but I think as the year went being a first year defensive cordina is, he figured out what worked for him, found that recipe and now let's see it and work out a
year too. Okay, just one last quick question, Ja, making a quick answer if you could offensively, who are you gonna look forward to seeing not named teams or Dolora or not named tamac or Dolora. You know what I'm gonna go with. Man, this is a tough one because I would like to say Montana leimonious, Craig is transfer from Colorado. But you give me the tight end, give me another team Mac. You mean Tanna McLaughlin who had the most receiving yard by tight ends as Rob don Couski and two

that have been turned away by this. Hum. I know, I know some let's just say some people, some people who are close to me, um, who know how I feel about it, Arizona Football, who think that I'm I'm giving him a pass and that I shouldn't be giving him a pass, and that they're very disappointed in what in that Arizona didn't take him off the team when when they find out about it, um, and so it's uh, it's it's a it's a tough one. And again, are
there things in there that we don't know that Arizona know? Yeah? Maybe, but I like, excuse me, I'd like to know those Then if if you made a decision based on some things that we don't know. Maybe, well you ought to tell us what both. That's kind of almost the question how you phrase it? Do you know more than what's been and they do obviously, because we don't know what's gonna be in the pay pack? Uh do you? Is there something in there that we don't know that major
or alleviates the problem? The problem, however you phrase it, the well, the uh distastefulness of it. Yeah, right. You know you feel like you got this guy that supposedly possibly maybe or certainly accused of committee or a sexual assault. Um, he's the quarterback at Arizona. You obviously overlooked it. You're okay with whatever would occur in order for him to play at
Arizona. So I almost feel like they owe fans and now look at if they if we were gonna get that explanation, we would have gotten it already. True. But I do believe that they oh fans an explanation of why they made the decision they made. But they're not gonna get that. We're not going they're not gonna get that. It's gonna get asked. That's too and and and Jane's gonna get asked. Na they're not. They're not gonna answer that question. Uh and and and that's their obligations. They're right to.

Yeah, I love going I let you know, I love going to the Coliseum. You know, my brother Jane hates it. He won't go because he hates the Coloseum. He thinks it's it's not just it's a bad area and I don't care about the area. He just thinks it's a drab venue. The atmosphere isn't great. Well, the atmosphere is not going to be great if us
he's not any good that'd been good for a while. I've been really good for what was the last time he went. He must have. I don't know. I think it's been a long time. So I went in eighty nine. It was one there, but that was last time. Yeah, I did the m or nineties the last time. I remember that because I was the year I got married. I mean I was on I was on my honeymoon when that came come. first and third years and that we went. We had a great time, saw Reggie Bush play. You know. Um we barely we barely were in the stadium. They sat us so far play. But it's been a hun since I've been there. Been to the Rose Bowl a couple of times. Maybe we do that. I knew just the first you mentioned first brought it. Maybe maybe you know, I just kind of that's most starts about that time in terms of practice and stuff like that. It might be fun to
