Streamy Live. I mean iHeartRadio WAP. This is I on the Ball with Steve Rivera and Jay Gonzalez on Fox Sports fourteen fifty. Hey, welcome back to Wyn the Ball. Here Fox Sports fourteen fifty nine. Steve, he's jav I E and I think Jay has some breaking news on Fox Sports fourteen. Hit it again. I forgot about it. This is I on the Ball, breaking news on Fox Sports fourteen fifty Okay, some serious news. Bad series. One of the worst stories to ever be connected to uh we

hear zone athletics. We also have maybe a well a year or two girl football player O'Neil. Yeah, Neil Vanil, but go ahead, but Chance Comanche a guy played at Arizona from two thousand seventeen nineteen something, no, twenty fifteen since so the sixteen and seventeen season, he played two year seasons, spent two years. Yeah, he was here too. He was here two years, left early for the draft. It's kind of kicked around the G League and stuff like that, and actually was with the Las Vegas G

League team. No, he was Sacramento G League team, but he was living in Vegas. He and his girlfriend arrested over the weekend for murder, yeah, kidnapping and murder. From the Las Vegas Police Department news release on this a woman was reported missing, a twenty I would say twenty seven year old woman uh yeah, was reported missing and it was a determined that Chance comanche and and his girlfriend Sakari Hamden or Harnden might have been connected to that.

They were arrested, brought into into uh be question and then after the questioning, it was determined that they had the police department. The police said that they determined that they might were responsible for her for her death, and they went out and found her remains in nearby outside of Las Vegas, it says directly from the release says on December fifteen, twenty twenty three, Comanchi was arrested by the members of the California FBI Criminal Apprehension Team in Sacramento and

his pending extradition to Nevada for kidnapping based on information obtained after the arrest of Harndon. I think is it Harndon. It is just something else close to it, but it's ham and Comanchi. Detectives were able to recover human remains in the desert area and Henderson Nevada. The remains were later identified by the Clark County Corner to be of Marina Rogers. Yeah, no, this is very sad. Finished so that we're not saying it's The detectives determined that Hamden

and Commanchi were responsible for the murder of Rogers. The charge for both individuals will be amended to open murder through coordination with the Clark County District Attorney's office. Yeah, very sad. The one thing about the Sean Miller era is that we don't know these guys. We don't know these guys because he didn't allow us to get close to these guys. I think the closest one I got to was TJ McConnell. Good dude. A lot of these guys were

good dudes. We just didn't know them. You know. The chance was one of those guys who who left mysteriously two years. He was not ready to go, but very talented obviously, but he should have stayed another year or two. Other than that, I mean, what you kind of scratched your head about. You know, why is he going? He didn't play that much here, Why is he going to the NBA? Correct him and Grant Jarrett those guys were thinking either they just wanted to leave and take their

chances, and they did that. So very strange, very strange. And again you don't know what goes into Yeah, right, you know what happens in a situation like this, what the circumstances are. But it is Harnded Sakari Harndon, not Hamden. I was reading some of that had very small print on it. She's nineteen years old, Yeah, nineteen, I think, uh, he's twenty seven. She's nineteen. And the woman was murdered, was no, So we'll see what happens. It comes a bit very

unfortunate. Yeah, just yeah, again, a sad situation for all, very unfortunate situation for all, obviously for the for the for the family of the victim. You're just like, you know, nobody deserves that, and that's that's where we are. And unfortunately, you know, for Arizona, it's you know, it's one more thing about oh that Arizona program, you know, and well that's the last thing to worry about in this That's what get That's what happens out there in the in this in this era of social

media. So she's uh, the command she's under the rest murdered, So there you go. All right. A lot of recruiting stuff today, the the early signing day starts Wednesday. Arizona has flipped a four star defensive back from cal Ray Sewn Clark, so he's uh, he's coming here. The Nebraska has flipped the number one quarterback in the country and the number one quarterback recruit, Dylan Rayola, who had committed to Georgia. He's decided to go

to to Nebraska. His dad played at Nebraska. He's from Nebraska, but he had committed to Georgia and was going there until today. Apparently he's been flipped. And so the fallout, I don't call the fallout a domino effect of that is that Georgia's exec current quarterback who was the first three quarterback, Carson Beck, who had it was rumored to be going into the transfer portals, announced he's staying at Georgia. So I get he might have been talking

about leaving because he thought he was gonna be replaced by this guy. So Georgia keeps its current quarterback and the prize quarterback that they thought were getting it is going to Nebraska. Well, all the ramifications of this nil deals playing time has just affected so many things. Are Arkansas starting quarterback kJ Jefferson, he's leaving, He's he's officially in the transfer board, right, so all

kinds of all kinds of stuff, you know. So far, I'll knock on wood for Arizona fans, So far, so good from Arizona side. They've stayed intact, were gone, you know, hearing through I don't even what you even say through the grape, and I think it's a pretty good source. But that, uh, we're gonna hear pretty soon that a key player on the defensive line who was thought to be leaving is not on a good side. Okay, you can be staying in Arizona, So we may

hear from that at some point. Kaylen Gilbert h Packball Player of the Week for the first time and the first time in Arizona player has been Player of the Week since SHANEA. Pellington won it in February of last season. Then Caylen Gilbert went averaged twenty two and a half points a lost, a lost of Texas, and then the win over Asu. She shot eighty three percent from three in the two games. She had twenty six a career high. Again in the lost of Texas and then nineteen more last night against ASU.

She's she's the team's team's leading scorer. She's averaging almost fifteen points a game. She's also doing a nice job rebounding, averaging five game. And our guest from last week had a good game yesterday, right, she shot the ball well, yeah, everything she doesn't do. Everybody shot the ball well, So yeah, Elena poyl had had at her you know, highest scoring game of the season yesterday as well. But they all went crazy last night, and so she's you know, there's a you know, it's a good

way to get the car. You know, look, you don't want to start the conference season with a lost ASU. But you know, ACU certainly doesn't seem like a very good, very good basketball team based on that alone. We've got the what do you call it, the famous Toastery Bowl underway? Not underway, it's in overtime. Western Kentucky was down twenty one to nothing. They've rallied all the way back. It's thirty five all and we are now in overtime. Western Kentucky has the ball. I believe all they

got to do is score to win the game. But they were they were getting they were getting the butts capped and now they're they're back in it. So a chance to win this game? Did you have rich Rod in the breaking news just nothing his breaking news, but in rich Rod coming through with his first victory? Yeah? For this, well he got jack Jacksonville State gets into a bowl game. It's their first year in division. It happened.

They weren't supposed to be able to get in a bowl game, but since there weren't enough ball teams, both of them and James Madison, who were in their transition year, got into bowl games. And they took advantage of it and won their bowl game in overtime. On top of that, more of the more important than anything. As they covered the two and a half, as they say, back in my home hometown, you shoppled that

one. But they were down. They scored with about they scored the tying, got the tying, scored about a minute left in the game, and got it into overtime. And who are they playing, Steve, Uh, I don't know. I can't remember. I can't remember they were playing. You know, I didn't pick that game, so I should know this. Where are they playing? Oh, Louisiana The former Louisiana Lafayette now Louisiana. Louisiana missed a field goal on their possession in overtime. Jacksonville State went and

kicked a field goal to win it thirty four to thirty one. New Mexico State. I'm really mad at because they just laid down horribly to Fresno State thirty seven to ten. There were a lot of people thinking UCLA was gonna lay down to Boise State, and they didn't beat the heck out of Boise and State thirty five to twenty two in the La Bowl on on Saturday night. And then Cal got run by Texas Tech thirty four to fourteen UH in the Independence School yesterday, and then uh, and then Steve and I uh

were on the wrong side of the Jaguars Ravens game. Yeah. By the way, you knew that that was a bad pick and that was a tough game because I didn't we didn't know what's way to go, just so I went with the whole team. Yeah yeah, And so Steve and I weren't very happy with that. Perfect won't put in my perfect week, right, So sorry, I need every every victory. I know you are, I know you are already spending the money that I should be winning. So anyways,

crazy weekend. Yeah, well, what else do you know? You look, I guess I'm to say no, I'm just very Oh yeah, okay, I thought he had something to say. Biggie over there running the board with it like a master just batter started doing this is killing it. So anyways, we should everybody know, Uh, this is our last week of the year. Uh where we're gonna be off next week for the holidays. We'll be gone from Christmas through January first, so we'll be back on

January second. Steve, you're gonna be still gonna be gone on Wednesday. Yeah, you're gonna going to Alabama game and then Friday going to Vegas for Saturday's game, the noon game with Florida and left. You're gonna you're gonna leave me here on Friday as well. You you you're you're perfectly you got my guy, E, You're fine. I don't know if I'm you're gonna start Christmas early, so you might be. You might have to call and

Sigma on Friday. Okay, We're definitely not gonna be here next week, so we'll we'll do the best we can bring as many shows as we can. Still trying to get some great guests for you this week before we before we close it out. So but it should be you know, it should be fine. All Right, We've got Josh Pastor coming up here in a few minutes. We'll get his take on that on that Pue Arizona game. I think you'll have to say yeah, because he put maybe he made a

prediction, he thought Arizona would do it. Let's see how how he's doing his new job. Right, he looks at that have you have you seen have you actually seen him though on a halftime show? No, okay, this is great. This is so Josh right, the guy to his right, the guy next to me, you know, whoever it is. We'll have like three or four sheets of paper that are his notes. Josh has like reams stacks stacks of pa They're just spread out all over the desk.

I mean, like what one stack looked like a half inch stick of paper. I'm like, what do you have in there? He could possibly refer to in the five minutes that you're going to talk at halftime. But it's it's it's so typical. Josh is being as prepared as he could possibly be with mountains of notes and papers and stuff. But again, very you know, he looks great, very uh, very professionally polished and professional. Well, let me tell you this. This is a this is a Hispanic thing,

Jay, this is his span of thing. And sorry if I'm saying this to my Hispanic friends out there, Mihitolindo is not Mihitolindo anymore. He's forty five, forty one years old. Well that's it. You know, you don't think that he's not right? Well, what you know, you know, when I went to get you know, I wanted to see if you're on Twitter. On his Twitter account he had put you know, if it was working for ESPN or whatever. He was a head coach for fourteen

Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, that's my point. I had not just a coat, not just like a coat, that's my point. A head coach for fourteen years. He's not the guy you saw leave the nest many years ago. Well, he's fey. That's like my mom my mom. A few years back recently, in fact, we go out and she and we were seeing some people and she says, I'll be back and go get lunch. She brought me a kid's meal in her mind. I'm still twelve, exactly. You don't what Actually, we had a lot of that

over the weekend was my grandson's first birthday party. Right, yeah, well yesterday there was a lot. I can't believe how old you are. So you said what I'm saying. I'm sure he knows exactly what I'm talking about. Right, No, No, you know I get treated as a soul. This is I on the Park on Fox Sports fourteen fifty. Hey, welcome back to an on the Bault, you know on Fox Sports fourteen fifty. Oh, Steve Rivera, He's Jakins as though if one we have former U A basketball player Josh Pastor, former college basketball coach, and now a new college basketball analyst. How the heck does that sound? Joe? Yeah,

no, thanks for having me, guys. Yeah, I've enjoyed. I've enjoyed the media part this year. I've enjoyed doing television. Uh, been you know, involved with different networks and I really have had a great time about it. You know, It's it's you get the opportunity to stay involved in the game of basketball, but also at the same time not having the stress after a loss and being able to kind of go home there or or eat a dinner and actually taste the food, if that makes sense.

So it's uh, there's been a lot of positives with it. I I really enjoyed it. I was in the studio this past Saturday for the Arizona Purdue game, which was a great game, a high level basketball game, and you know, I was able to do that, and so so it's been good. I have enjoyed every minute of it. Josh, you know you've been in games like that, uh, you know, as a player, as a coach, the whole bit, as a head coach and assistant

coach. A Purdue Arizona game like that. I mean, what's that like for the you know, on the on the coaching side of it, And how do you approach that? How do you avoid making it bigger than it is, because you know, to us it's a huge deal. YEA. Yeah, Well, look, I don't think you can hide, especially in this day and age with social media. And Steve knows this. Back even when I was playing an Arizona even you know, as an assistant coach,

you could it was everything was in the newspapers. I mean, you had to wait till the next day, and it was you know, we you know, at the time, we had two beat writers covering us, and so you know, obviously Steve being wonder them and so it was. But everything was the newspapers. Things have shifted so much now where everything is instant with with you know, whether it's Instagram or x or Snapchat, whatever it may be. You're these players, it's hard to hide anything. I mean,

you probably it isn't anything with Arizona Purdue. You probably go in any locker room right after the game, the first thing guys are probably doing is checking their phones, you know what I mean, and just seeing what's going on. That's just different. It's just a different time period. I say that to say there was no denying that this was a big game on Saturday for both teams, and both teams are really good. Both teams are very

well coached, and both teams. It wouldn't it would not surprise me if you see Arizona for doing the National Championship game, competing against each other again in in in Glendale, there's you know, in Glendale Arizona later on, so you know, the thing is is on on as much as a talk about on Saturday's game was about the big especially with Edie. Purdue's guards played so well. I mean, Brayden Smith and Lawyer combined for like fifty three

points from shot the daylights out of it. But you know, look, guys like Caleb Love played had a heck of a game, and and Arizona is still very very good. I mean that's a I'm telling you. And I was gonna say this if if Arizona won that if I thought if Arizona won the game, there was a chance they could go undefeated the rest of the way into going into the NCAA tournament, just based on the fact alone that every team they played against here on out is ah They're going to be

the face. So I'm still a big fan of coach Tommy Lloyd and Arizona. I think they're gonna have it. They've already had an incredible year to this point, but they're gonna win a lot more games and be set up for a high sea for a number one seed in the tournament. So I think I heard this. I didn't see this. Before the game. They were asking you who you thought would win, and you thought Arizona. I yeah, you know, I well, I did say it was gonna be

a to It was a toss up because anybody could win. Those two teams were just were so good. I thought it was a toss up in terms of it was just split down the middle. But I said I couldn't go against Arizona on that. I just I was I just thought the way they were playing, their their their speed, what they did against Wisconsin, like I'm a big fan of Wisconsin, and how they played against them in the time. You know, the score that they scored, what they did against

the glass, that's hard to do against a really good Wisconsin team. I say all that to say for due though, going in who they beat, and their resume is about as good as is the best in the country,

even going into the Arizona game, and that included with Arizona's wins. But you know, so I knew Purdue strength on that, and I also knew that Purdue was, you know, there, it was gonna be like a home game for them, and and I don't know if you went to the game, Steve or not, but I you know, obviously I was in the studio, but it sounded like it was a great atmosphere. Obviously ninety

seven percent Perdue fans. But I did pick Arizona, and I said it was gonna be a it was gonna be, you know, a one two possession game, and we're probably go on Arizona's way. But in the end, for Due just you know, just outlasted Arizona a little bit. They had some chances. Arizona. If you guys remember Perdue, Tommy Lloyd with a great decision to go to zone in the second half. It slowed Perdue down. For Due, you got stagnet and if you remember, Arizona had

some chances. They had some open threes that could have just got him back to within one or another chance here there just to cut it to two, and they just couldn't get out over that hump to put them within a one possession there. They missed some key shots and then Purdue made a big shot here there that put them up by six and eight in that reign that gave him that that margin for error. You know, we're trying to kind of, you know, pick at Tommy Lloyd's brain on a game like this.

You know, you take the loss, you know you lost, and you know or you think, maybe okay, we'll have our shot at him. Later you just kind of said to the side, don't you go on to the next thing, Well, well you have to, you have you have no other you have no other options because of the fact alone that you know you're playing for Arizona. They've got Alabama, if I'm not mistaken. They got Alabama and Porta Atlantic back and back. So two really good basketball teams.

So look, there's gonna be some losses along the way. Even though I said Arizona they had won that game, I think they could have. Not that they would have gone under, but they would have had a sorry about the background way that time most sons. But but but that being said, they you know you're going to have a loss here there along the way. That happened, and I think Tommy Lloyd does a great job of not dwelling on it. I think what is postgame comments were spot on, and

you guys know this, You've been around it for a long time. You just you can't dwell on it. You can't let the you can't let the Purdue loss beat you twice. In a sense, you got to move on. But there's a really good team and then be ready to go against a really good Alabama team. Yeah, yeah, no question. Let me ask you, do you like in this situation Arizona? You said, had they won, they could have gone undefeated. Back in nineteen ninety eight, you

guys are fantastic coming up the national championship. You guys had talked to I know, the Miles had talked to let's go undefeated. YadA YadA. You go to Hawaii, get beat by Duke in the in the in the finals of the champ of that championship, but you guys are still strong. Did that loss to Duke help in any way? Maybe re calibrate your thoughts? You know what I was. I actually said this to somebody the other day. I said, the Arizona loss. I told this, so an Arizona

fan who called me thought, what my thoughts? I said, I think it's going to help Arizona because look for these for these guys, no matter what coach Lloyd tried to do, you're going to have the kids, the young guys still thinking. Man, we're pretty darn good because everyone's telling you

how good you are. You're number one in the country. And as I mentioned earlier in ourn't talk here about the social media and so so so you know, sometimes people can believe their own press clippings, and so this is a great opportunity to take a loss. It allows coach Lloyd to kind of refocus the guys, recenter them. And again, Purdue is a great team Arizona. If they played probably ninety nine point nine percent of other teams in basketball that day, they would have won the game. But yes, that

that when we lost a duke. It allows you to refocus and organize and kind of get remotivated in a sense, and allow the coaching staff, by coach Olsen to coach the heck out of you really hard at the time. And now coach Lloyd and the guys really listened because you're coming off of a off of a loss. Whereas if you just didn't, you know, you remain undefeated. You know, it's just by natural human instinct. It's it's you know, it's harder, it's hard sometimes not to have a letdown,

just that that happens. So what what did you see from Purdue? Because we know we know, look, this was this was a game between a couple of teams who just finished the season last year in a way that neither one of them, you know, was they were just pretty and you know before even you know, Arizona, who was fortunate that Purdue lost the FTU because if Purdue didn't lose that game, all the talk would have been Arizona

losing to Princeton first round and so but that got overshadowed. Probably fortunately for Arizona that because because you know, because Purdue it loss, so you know, because that would have been more talked about if if if Eric Purdue did did win the game. But to finish to your point, I think Purdue's really good. I think everyone talks about them being like Virginia where a couple of years ago where Virginia member they lost the one they were lost, you

know, they were one in sixteen. See they lost and then they ended up the next year winning the national championship and people are talking like Purdues like that. Purdue could be like that. There's no doubt about it. There's no doubt about it. The only thing I would say is that Virginia team. That Virginia team had multiple pros and multiple and a couple of first round

draft picks that won the national championship. I don't know if zach es zak Eas is gonna win every you know, player of the Year award in college basketball like he did last year. But that doesn't mean you're going to be a pro. I mean, he might not get drafted till mid second round, late second round, believe it or not, because the way the NBA game has evolved, right, And that's the same thing with the other players. I don't know if they have other pros on their team. It's hard

to tell, you know, because there's so few draft picks. And so I sailed that to say that I who's really good. I think they're a really good college basketball team. They've got a they've got they've got a lot of strengths, they don't have a lot of weaknesses. And really, going into the game, probably their biggest question mark was going to be guard play.

And that is what won in the game was guard play. And I talked about that in the pregame studio that as much as we're talking about Ballow and Crevis versus Eadie, it's gonna come down to the guards the guards. It's it's gonna be a guard's game on who which guards play better. And and not that Arizona guards didn't play well, it's just those kids lay uh, Uh, Braden Smith and Lawyer were just very very high level in that game and and got it for do the win. So in your new spot,

you must really love it. Uh, you're probably on occasional guy. What's your schedule like and what are you doing? Yeah, I'm all over. So I've been you know, I do Peacock, I do ESPN. Uh. You know, Peacock's with the Big Ten, So I'm I'm the Big bought the Big Ten the rights for the Big Ten, so and they and they because the way the media is, everything is shifting to streaming, so they put all Big Ten basketball onto onto Peacock, trying to get everyone

into streaming. In fact, the NBC has got the NFL playoff games coming up and they're putting the games on on Peacock. And so things are in the media world, as you guys know, are moving a lot to streaming, more so than than anything in this day and age. But I'm also doing ESPN. I'm also doing CBS Sports Network. So I've I've I've I've done Fuel of sixty eight, so I've been involved in a lot. I've enjoyed it. I've done both studio, I've done things in game on site.

So it's been good for me. I've you know, it's it's a it's a I've learned a lot. You have to be really prepared and and and and being organized and and and all those things that go with it, which I which I enjoyed doing because it keeps you like you were preparing for a game as a head coach. So it's been good. I've I've, I've thoroughly in it. I do miss coaching, I missed the practices and all those things. But during this time period, I've really enjoyed doing the

media. I gotta I gotta confess that I was making fun of you before you came on and if you're listening, but the first time I saw you on one of the studio shows, whoever was the guy sitting next to your right, he had like three or four sheets of paper that he had notes of and you had like this mountain of paper in front of you with like a gazillion notes and stuff. And I said, that's Josh, I mean just bringing it, bringing in everything he can find too, to be read

everywhere to go. That's been a thing. Everything, like how do you I have so many papers and notes written down? Because actually, I'm really even though it doesn't look like it's I'm organized on there because I got so many papers and so many notes of things and the different stats and all these things. But I'm treating it like I'm preparing for a game that i'm the head coach at No obviously I'm not winning and losing, and I have a

short time here or there. But you know when you're when you're speaking. But but I want to be fully prepared to not leave anything you know, on that left un said that needs to be said. But you know, it was funny the other day in the Arizona for due game one of this

in a quick thing the last part of halftime. I felt bad. They were like, because you know, I was going through everything about the differencing strategy wise and then in my ear, you know, and you guys both know this immediate they're saying, Okay, we got to wrap it up like eight seconds and we're off and so the final and so the guy says to me, the final, get your final point, hurry you got because we got to get off there. And I'm like and I'm like, oh my

good, you know my mind, because you know that's not easy. What I'm saying, I got I think Arizona's got to score more and play better defense. And we we we were like getting right off of air, and I'm like, and then right it and got off, Like can you believe I just said that? They're like, I was like that, Mike, my second great daughter could have said that, but I but you know that, but you're in your ear, you guys know how that is. Like you had, you had eight seconds, you got to get off and like

hurry, hurry, making So that's one of the things. Something's in your ear like that, and and you're like you're trying to you got because you can't go. You know, you got the commercials coming up. So uh, that was kind of fun. Afterwards, I'm right after I was like I cannot. I mean, I said, that's about its basic of a kindergarten comment. I said, you don't need a coach to make that.

My second grader could have said that. But that's those are things that you know, guys, the more reps I get, you know, the more opportunities you can become better and more comfortable as you guys know how that goes. Well. Your your second grade daughter is not brain surgery. What we do. That's why we do it. Do well. No, you no, it is, but but you guys are good. It's not. Listen, I said this for the media, and you know, and this is I get. It's not an easy gig. It's hard. You know,

there's a lot of preparation and and and you got to be ready. You got to know all the names, you got to know the insight, you got to be ready to prepare it for, ask good questions and and and you got to be ready to to critique and and have constructive criticism if there needs to be. And so it's a you know, it's a different it's a different side of it, and I've seen different things. I'm looking at

the game in a different way. So I've it's been good. It's been good for me to even if I get another chance to be a head coach, to even be ready and be more prepared for as a head job too. Well, you look like you're having fun and you're and you're you're already good at it. So there you go. Thanks guys, I appreciate that. We appreciate you. Man. Take care and happy holidays. Yeah you

too. Thanks guys. We'll talk soon. Have me on any time and looking forward to it, and it's gonna be a h Arizona's got two great opportunities coming up with that with Alabama and Florida Lantic. Thirteen minutes. PA's good to talk to Josh. Fun, Always fun talking to Josh, always so energetic. He doesn't slow down, man, No, No, he just loves the game. And he's not twelve. What do you say, it's forty five, forty five. He's same as Jed, so about forty forties. He reminds me a lot of Jeds or vice versa, just because of how they got together, their determination, you know, doing the right things, to talk to the right people. You know. Josh went to lou came here for a for purpose, was under

loot. They went to Calipari, got his job, moved around, you know, and obviously Jed's situations, Jed situation, he presents a well you know, because you know, I mean I knew, I mean always saw him, you know, when he was a player and stuff, and you know he was an assistant coach. But the first time I actually met him, he came and gave a presentation to the festival committee. Was supposed to be Lou and and he came in and it was when we were still doing

the tournament. It wasn't a tournament. I think it was when it was his game. Okay, I'll tell it straight. Let's take this call. Now you're on the r and I on the ball. Hey, what's going on? Guys? Back. What's the word. Well, I gotta say I I think Jay went back to his participation trophy days because uh, I don't know what the hell he was watching Saturday. Oh he was too nice, too nice. Okay, Boswell suck, Pallas suck. I mean it was see, it wasn't even funny. I know you didn't see the game,

and I text you a couple of times during it. But Tommy went into his owne kJ and and Bradley were wreaking havoc. Then he brings Boswell back in and goes back to man and I obviously you know, I don't know, and nobody else does as much as Tommy. But Jesus, it's not You don't have to be a rocket scientist to see that wasn't working. I mean it was ridiculous. That was the worst coaching move. I mean that's something some little fifth year or fifth grade guy coach would do. Wow.

Vic And as far as Pat Boswell, he was sick and horrible. I don't know what Jay's sticking up for him. He was a step flow on defense, couldn't hit a shot, hella turned the ball over and me of them could guard me or you. So it was it was bad. Well, this is two guys who did who saw the same game but came to different conclusions. I kind of can't. Look, I do I think Boswell played well or great? No, but I didn't, you know, I didn't think he played horrible. I know what you're talking about. Though.

They had that run and then they brought Boswell in the game. But Vic, we don't know if one of those guys had to come out of the game because they were gassed or something. Because those guys were in the game a long time, running up and down the floor. And yes, they were on that run. But you know, but and then Boswell is like one of your best players. You can't continue to you can't keep him on the bench. So I got it. What if you make that move?

That's where you're at. Yeah, but would you would you agree, mister negative, mister vic my boy here that it was a one off or it could be a one off, But I just I don't disagree with you. And if this could, it could happen again. We know that against if an equal or quality team they go up against and have a have a bad game, And oh no, exactly, I mean that that's for sure. And I hate. These people say, oh, better now than April

or whatever. Well, guess what when you lost the AFU and Washington State last year, that didn't help your April, bro. And here and here's the thing, Vic, You know, when you you lose a game like that, it partly is because the other team was really damn good too, right, And so you know, if you play bad, it's because the team because uh, two guys got left open, like uh, like I was guarding. I'm telling you, yeah, and I hear you. That's part of it, and that's part of it. But that's what good teams

can make you look bad. And I don't think Arizona's a bad team. I think on that day, as Steve said, and as we've said earlier, on that day on Saturday, Perdue made Arizona look bad in a lot of spots and beat the hell out of them for good chunk of the game. And yet Arizona gave itself a chance to win in the second half,

even though they couldn't get over the hump. Everything you guys said, it's true and all that, but there's definitely yeah, okay, Vic, definitely and Jay have to stop giving out those participations Okay, No, are you right? I mean Jay, but Jay's you know, Paulianna is Well you used the word there though. Vic. I'm not concerned. I'm not. I'm not concerned about what I saw Saturday because I saw a team that played better than Arizona on Saturday, and that team might not play better than Arizona

the next time if they play, if they play again. So I'm not concerned. I still think Arizona is one of the top three, four or five teams in the So this is Vic. This is my boy, Vic, and you've been we saw him some games. He texted me on Saturday. I think Wisconsin. Was it Wisconsin? I'm in heaven. Blah blah blah. I couldn't feel better. A week later, he's going to Hell. I'm getting you. I don't want the best team to win. I want my team. Good point, good point. Thanks? All right,

you guys, we'll talk to actually good coaches. Cover My god. Vic was that fan that we talked? You know? It was a game. The world. Oh, I'm concerned the world is ending? Yeah? Yeah, No, I get text during the game. I guess sucks, Larson sucks. I get time during the game. I ken't watch the game answering questions about this team. God, he just turned turned the ball over. Com It was just happened, and I forgot what the hell we were talking

about. You you're yeah, you're I know, I don't remember it was. You don't remember either, remember, And you gotta you gotta, you gotta be on that stuff. Man, you're babysitting too old. Dudes. We have a putting. I was about to tell a story, and I don't know what the hell the story was. I forgot, So you're five o'clock putting what I was talking about. You know again, I don't think a lot of people are like vic Phil. I think they're concerned. That's

why I saw this. The Pallet didn't play as well, and Boswell didn't either, because he didn't look Boswell like right exactly. I mean, he wasn't draining threes and consistently, and he looked bad because because with the defense they were playing, they weren't they weren't getting out on those guards, and and those guys were making baskets and just killing them, and you wonder what the hell was going on. And then in the end you hear, well, you know, we we we weren't going to let Edie beat us and

those two guys beat us. Let me also say this, Arizona was in the game. Uh love had a twenty nine points. Yeah, okay, what if he doesn't do that right? You know, because there's a chance that he you can go try right, he kept him in the game, in the game, absolutely so, But sometimes you're not gonna get that. So you know, it's it's I don't know, it's it's uh, it's it's a December game, a matchup game. It was a fun game. If you didn't, if you're a NAIs on a fan and because Arizona lost,

you don't look at that game and go that was fun. You gotta you gotta move your heart a little bit too. You know they have heart, they have hearts some of them. Well, oh you're on the air and I on the ball. Hey you guys, this is a gabe. How you guys doing the game? Are you are you? Are you happy Gabe or mad Gabe? In regards to what happened on Saturday, I'm not pissed off at all because well, definitely it was away game and was probably

about ten miles away from La Fayette. Were Purduers. So I'm not pissed off because it was an away game, and I think this loss is gonna help Arizona to get even better. And and I think the games that are gonna be on Wednesday against Alabama and then on Saturday against f a U. I seen Arizona is hopefully take care of business and then next week conference play, which is which is the pat twelve is straight up pathetic. I mean us be losing to to who do who? Do they lose Auburn? Yes,

yes, they got their ass kicks by Auburn. U c l A beat got beaten by Ohio s day A s U got annihilated. Of course Barbary is acting like a deranged lunatic that that has Raby so and then anything else. Yeah, I think Arizona can easily can basically dominate the past twelve. I don't think maybe lose, but I don't think. I don't think Arizona's going to lose any conference games in fastball play, but they just need

to finish up the conference play. They just need to finish them mount conference play play by being Alabama and Beanie Fau and I bet a lot of people on Facebook were bitching and moaning. So yeah, I'm just looking at a schedule. They've lost to San Diego with TCU back to back. I'm like, who's the TCU score? They lost by twenty ouch, So are you okay? Are you quote unquote concerned? Yeape. I think Tommy Lloyd needs to not outthink or out coach himself. And I think, but take it.

Tell Washington, Colin Blos But I am kyl and bosbow Is. They're not scoring any points for not doing anything. Put them on the bench and just try to find who has a hot, hot hand kind of kind of simple. Yeah, well you were right. We got the sensible We got the sensible game today, so we're good. Yeah, you know, got the pissed off rattles say, we appreciate that. Yeah, yeah, I was low worried there. I was holding my breath for a second. We're

gonna have to hit the button just in case. All right, Well that went fast today. When that went, that went really fast. All right. Well, we're working on some more guests for for the rest of the week. As mentioned, we might be off. I guess I'm finding out we might be have to be off on Friday because keeps headed for Vegas. We'll be here the rest of the week, but this is our last week for the year and we will get back to it. So we'll be gone

Bowl week, but we'll have plenty to say about it this week. But you got an Alabama game on Wednesday that we'll have to talk about on Thursday for sure. So but you know, fun day. Thanks to Eric Tors for being here and Josh Pastor for being here. That's always interesting stuff from those guys. Yeah, Okay, we'll see what we get in the next couple of days. Should be fun. Maybe an Alabama guy tomorrow we can track somebody down. Yeah, we'll gay. We'll see if we can get

some one you know. Uh, you know, they've kind of been up and down, up and down sort of team. I think they're pretty good, you know, just by being Alabama. You know, you think they're pretty good, but you don't. I have no idea what we're gonna see. I don't know much about them. What do you What do you know about about Alabama? Yeah, same team, same kind of run. It's gonna be an Arizona like Arizona like first one to eighty five, maybe eighty

wins, kind of like this weekend. So it's gonna be fun. It's gonna be a fun to watch game. Yeah uh, and it lit'tle show a lot. Alabama's gonna feel the same way Arizona did when they went to do It's not it's not a it's not a home game, but it's a pretty close one. Two games losing streak right now, Purdue and then Creighton. So that's two top ten tries. But you know they're not bad. So they beat the hell out they didn't beat the hell out that they did

beat order. So all right, we'll be back tomorrow. We're hoping to be here if you're getting if you don't get a chance, and be sure to listen to the podcast. We're on Spotify, Apple Podcasts, and on iHeart, so be sure to check that out as well. So talk to you tomorrow. Looks like Mariah, I'm just another shot and sold truck truck tru
