So what's the record. It's still very good, is it? I believe that they have lost the last three games, so they're but they're not doing will overall. No, not overall. They lost the A SU as well, so that's all
is a tough one. Okay, yeah, moving into uh wait, wait what times the game today? Seven thirty or seventh? Okay thirty right, yeah, seven thirty. I don't know if people know though beforehand there's gonna be a wheelchair game going on so if you get there early, there will be something good to watch. So, yeah, they always play play a game there before the before the Red and Blue game, which is always fun.

Arizona QB commit Demon Williams coming into town tomorrow. He rushed for three touchdowns in the first half versus Brophy and he has had twenty six total touchdowns on the air so the year. Wow, ye five games something that something like that. Yeah, but he's definitely a dual guy. I'm curious to see if whenever that is that he comes and plays here, what kind of offense he'll be running he'll be running in. But he's definitely a dual threat guy
that we're gonna have to use exploit. So alrighty, you just got a lot of quarterback coming in. They know many Dormans still still he's got I mean, he's got guy. Yeah, I mean if you compare this to his first year, this is drastic change. We were scratching for a court for any quarterback and a healthy quarterback. Yeah, healthy quarterback. And we got the other game with the Bears. I mean, both of those teams are struggling really bad. And I mean we'll see how the coaching goes. But typically early on there's gonna be a couple coaches that go on the hot seat. We'll see how I know the Bears are probably
thinking about it at least now. But yeah, there's a lot, a lot of a lot of drama going on with certain teams. I heard even a few rumors of Kirk Cousins. So, I mean, I heard people talking about Kirk Cousins getting traded to the Jets. Yeah. Yeah, that would be a good move for the Jets. What it's Yeah, yeah, he's he's no one wants him in Minnesota. He's he's much better than what they have now anywhere. Yeah, if you're a Jets fan, I didn't

So, then with Minnesota sticking with the NFL, they actually modify their gambling policies. They're gonna punish players more harshly for betting on their own team. So a player that places a bet involving him involving his own team will face at least two years of a suspension, and then bets placed on any NFL game will be
at least one year. Okay, So I don't know, Jee's lucky he's not in the NFL. Yeah, you know, Yeah, yeah, yeah, I should probably stay out of that. I mean, yeah, there's a lot of guys. I mean, I don't know how they make these mistakes though, I mean, just don't just don't do it. Well we're talking, yes, I don't know if you saw this one. The Air Force golf coach, the Air Force off coach got caught and he was gambling
on Air Force football and all kinds of other stuff. He signed up for an online account, didn't say which one, using his girlfriend's name and email, just in credit card. But they still somehow figured out it was him, and he got fired, and he's got it, and he's he's he's basically suspended for from coaching college for five years. Who now, what did he make? Seventy eighty nine dollars something like that, But he had a job. Now he doesn't because he couldn't. He couldn't, he couldn't help
himself. Well, a lot of college kids, a lot of them. I mean, was it the Iowa schools right that both of them were involved. They've they've lost a bunch of players this year because because they don't, because they've been you know, gambling and stuff. I mean, just wait till, wait till you're out man like just I mean, I don't know a lot of the NFL guys they're getting they're already getting paid, and then
on top of it, well, yeah, the NFL. I was just like, you know, I have no sympathy for those guys because you just you just you just can't. You just can't fight you when you're making the money you're making and stuff like that, you just can't. Yeah. But sticking with the NFL news, I don't know if you guys saw the post game from last night, but Jared Goff did uh kind of fight back a little hit to Fitzpatrick after saying I didn't know I was a poor man's anything,
when previously Fitzpatrick called him a poor man's Matt Ryan. So he kind of kind of punched back a little bit. But what did he say? Uh, he was just you were just saying. Goff was basically saying, oh, I hope that performance was good enough for you, and oh wow, this is stupids Patrick. Yeah, I was Fitzpatrick because he's on the postgame. No, no, no, My point would be I just just coming from the ultimate the career, backup career poor man guy. Yes,
yes, pretty much. I was I would have said, I guess the poortman knows what another poorman looks like. Yeah, I mean they try to joke it off, you know, like a little bit, but you could tell Jared Gofferm remembered that for re. Yeah. Yeah, but yeah, there was a lot going on on social media about it. And so I haven't taken them the last two weeks because of what they did to me in week two. Well, there'd be one in three had you taken them those times. What all you can hope for as an their's own fan, The best that you should hope for, Well, you're gonna hope for a win, but the best you can expect. I guess is what I'm gonna say is that Arizone hangs with both teams and doesn't just get completely out. Even if they do hang with both teams, what does that do? What does that do for you? You know, you feel like you can compete, Steve? I mean you play.
I mean you played as an athlete. You played games against teams that you knew were way the hell better than you. Sure, sure, and if you hung with them, you thought, okay, you know, I'm you know, sure, but I didn't win. But there's also a chance that Washington just comes in things and it's gonna be easy and doesn't show up and doesn't play. Yeah, I mean we like that organ that one year
when they came in here that rainy day. Yeah, that was one of those games where they did not just like to get a game and they came out of nowhere. But okay, we gotta go. Big game today this weekend Jake uh First of all, just your general thoughts on going into this game. Then I want to pick your brain on something. Well, I think that we saw during the Stanford game. Our guys may have been looking forward a little bit. That's kind of knew we were gonna
win. But normally win go and you play a team before a top you know ten team comes to town, a lot of the times you overlook them. So I'm hoping that's not what it was. I hope they got the kinks out, and you know, maybe just because there was a step up in competition from the game prior to that, maybe that kind of to room off a little bit. But you know, I haven't really looked deep into
the Washington team. I just know they have a bunch of future professionals on both sides of the ball, a good pass rush, unbelievable of seaters, and probably the front runner for the Heisman right now. So it's obviously gonna be a challenge. I will tell you that, for whatever reason, we always had that one game every year where we get an upset at home against the good team, and let's just hope that that street continues. So, I mean, they're really really good, but you know, as you experience
firsthand, you know, anything can happen. We've talked about that Oregon game, your your senior year, Organ's coming in here. I think it would number two in the country, two or three. No there, I think we're four. For you know, you guys have had a bad loss the week before and then you beat them, and it's like, how does that happen? So how does that happen? It's college football. You've got good
players everywhere. It doesn't matter how highly you were recruited. You may have been a zero star guy that got developed and how to wait Grossbert and you know, turned into a player. I mean every single team, they don't go into a game like this, you know, knowing that they're gonna lose. They're trying to find, you know, ways to when they're trying to pick a part. Who's the week we come to defense, you know, you know, maybe can we get away with single blocking some guys so then
we can focus on taking somebody completely out of the game. There's a lot of different things that they look at the Remember, everyone's got players, I mean even us this year, we've got some you know, we've got some future NFL guying on my team too, So if we're able to get the ball to those guys, you know, you never know what could happen. Plus, the good thing about this year's team is it looks like we're able to establish the run really well and as long as you know, if we
get in the obvious passing situation, we don't make any mistakes. H And just the fact that we've been running the ball so well and we've been looking the clock really well going on these very long extended drives, if we're able to make them, you know, commit a few turnovers and then get up on them and you know, so the game of the pace kind of throw them out of their rhythm. It could happen. So I want to you
to put your realist to kat on your your head. You have to go to if you need minutes to get it, please do what Fan Drenk going to like me this question. You have a couple I know you've been fighting with a lumber on Twitter. What what do you think the chances are really percentage wise? Percentage wise just because we're at home, I'm going you know, but a lot of things going to go right. That's why I mean
this this team does not have the room for era like Washington. Washington can throw a couple of picks, get behind and catch up with it pretty quickly. I haven't seen us, you know, be able to do that. I know that it was against Mississippi State, and I'm not entirely sure how the rest of their season has panned out, but they don't have a quick strike offense. These guys. They can get you from the five and go
ninety five yards because of these guys. So I'm just, uh, you know, thirty percent that we're at home, but then hey, they weren't giving us a very good percent as when we went against Oregon that day either. Yeah, well that's the thing, you know, And as you said, it's called it's college football, you know, and that's that's that's what
makes it as much fun as it is. But you know, besides besides that, though, I mean, and I don't know, maybe we had this conversation before, and if we did, I don't remember what it was. But you know, going during that week, there had to be some things going on around to you guys that maybe led you to believe that this something like this was going to happen, you know, I mean, or was there anything, or did it just all of a sudden materialized on game
day? Uh No, what it was was the fact that I forget the kid's name, but he got interviewed and they had lost that believe it was Stanford earlier in the year, when I thought they were clearly the better team. Anyways, what happened was a guy got on and started jawing, saying that you know, we're gonna treat it just like every other game, because you know we're gonna have to go to Rose Bowl again, and hell, his eyes and all this other craft, and so we were like, let's
knock them down a peg and put him in a different bowl game. So, you know, there was a lot of bulletin board material. And what I really liked about the coaching staff. You know, after a bad loss like that, some coaching staff they'll start yelling Actually in film, aren't guys were just like, hey, you know, get this one out of the way, forget about it. The game that we got to focus on his organs. They're a lot better than the team he just lost to, So
buckle up because we're gonna have a work week. And then, you know, we felt like they were very simple offense they just had some dynamic guys. I mean, all we did was basically sit back and play cover four for a lot of it. You know, it's just and they get to the ball so quick you can't really you can't really give too many calls. You're gonna you know, they're gonna catch you off guard. They're gonna catch you while you're making a substitution. So hey, this play as hard as
you can, run to the whistle and live to fight another day. So i've's this of Jay and some of the other colors or people that have been on the show since through four games, what's your overall impression of Arizona. They're three and one. I get that, but last week they didn't look too good, and they've looked spotty in places, right. I just think that it hasn't clicked yet. And I understand from last year we got behind a lot and we had this horse, so we were taking more shots and
doing that type of stuff. But hey, that offensive line, you can lean on them to run and finish a game. That receivers. You know, as long as they don't make mistakes, those guys can get separation on anybody in the country. You know, a team Mack. He doesn't need separation. He'll just jump over you. You know what I mean, it's catch Raby, It's ridiculous. So I think we need to establish a little bit of a run game, do a little bit you know, play action
pass. Can't get behind on first down and we got to take a couple of shots downfield. You know, if we do that, and if our defense can you know, minimize the damage because you know they're gonna score. You can't say they're not going to score. And so and I'm really looking forward to watching how the young defensive back to deal with these receivers. So you know, if the defensive line can hold up, because they've got a lot of pros on that offensive line too, we have a shot. But
that's saying a lot. Yeah. I mean, look I I I as much as anybody want, you know, Arizona to do well and and stuff. Going into a game like this, though, do you if you know you're out manned or do you ever believe you're up? I guess I'll ask you first, you ever believe you're out man And if you do when you're going into a game, are you kind of like, okay, if we're if we do this this, you know, we can feel good about ourselves.
Well, yeah, and you know the thing with you know, back when we play you know, an organ, we knew we had the nation's best running back on our side, and our offensive line had actually been clicking pretty well the last couple of games, so we knew we were going to be able to run the ball on him. And you saw he went and set the record that day and ran over a couple of guys in the process.
For the defense, we knew we had, you know, players, We just had to keep everything basic, keep the main thing the main thing, and we knew that we were going to have to get a couple of turnovers. Well we did that right. We had guys making big hits, you know, dislodging the football. We had guys picking off Mariota and then they I think one of the biggest things too. You know, we were able to get out to a lead and we were able to milk the clock
and so they had to press a little bit harder. So I think that we have an offensive line that we can do that. We just got to get a damn weat. Yeah. Well, and I've been saying that all week that they can't get off to a bad start, and they haven't started well either of their last two games. Right, yeah, I think, you know, if there's going to be any week to kind of change that,
this has got to be the one. Yeah, no question. So what were your impressions about the Stafford game if you want to kind of rereview that one? For us, it was just one of those games where it's not that people were looking disengaged. It just looked like, you know,
kind of slow and like people's ski were in the mud. And you know, I don't know, I think it's one of those games that maybe some of those young guys, because they're not used to being on a good football team all they've been here, I think some of those guys maybe overlooked it. You know, And just to be honest with you, like him the nature if you have some really good guys on your teeth, you can kind of sit back and say, I hope that they're the ones that make a
play, like just rely on him. No, you got to think of yourself that same way. You've got to be the one who gonna make the play. And so, you know, we'll see how it goes. flat. No, yeah, I mean it was frustrating, but then again I got to the end of the game and thought it was a road game. It was. It was a PAC twelve game and they won. And yeah, no matter what, you say, what's up and say, we haven't had too many of those lately, so you know, well when we can get them, great And then I mean there's been a couple of you know, teams like Florida State barely really beating Boston College. So it happens.
Jake, you talked about bulletin board material. We see it all the time now with Colorado and other teams places in Colorado. And you know, I used to play many years ago. A friend dark he just I'm not sure if if bulletin board material is really needed. Don't you just want to beat them in the first place.
