I could be wrong, but I think he's too smart for that. He can he lets you know he's too smart for that. In fact, someone sent me a note early this morning when they saw this, and I'm thinking he's been retired for two three years now, right,
he's been sitting on the bench making a lot of money. He played eight games last year, eight games last year. You know, he says he's gonna retire and then he comes back and blah blah blah. I was not sure. I thought he had already retired actually, because he's been he hasn't played much. Yeah. And then I mean with the Warriors, he was more of a bench coaches, right right, right, Yeah, made a twenty year career. Do I know. He's a he's got a lot of
got a lot of money. He's a business dude. He it seems like he could do a handful of Yeah. Right, He's kind of like remember Tony Clark. He's really that smart kind of he's a very smart dude. And he makes he's like John Fiena to me where he and he lets you know that he's a smart dude. Yeah, he was a one of the guys sent me a note this morning and he said he's one of my favorite
players. He was very difficult to deal with here. Luke had a hard time with him, and he he he was famously noting himself for saying he made Luke cuss. He was the only guy to make Luke cuss. Wow, And in the book, in the book, one of the books, he not that he did. But Luke got so frustrated with him. He said, bitch, bitch, bitch. All you do is bitch. That was the year that they lost and they and then he left. Well yeah then and see it. Look he's had a great career and Arizona claims him
as one of theirs. But I was so mad at him, you know in that Seaton Hall four right, I was so mad at him because you know he's sitting there they put the camera before the game, he's on the phone. No, no, that was that was the Pac twelve tournament. I'm very positive because a week later that's when they lost a seat. Well he's okay, but you know that whole thing there, well there it was during the postseason though. Just told me you are correct. Just told me
he didn't give one crap about Arizona. He didn't give one crap about the playoffs, and that just' that's been my lasting impression of him. I've never been a fan of his. You but my uh, somebody get I think it was my son gave me a gift of his book signed by him. I've got an autograft, I've got a sign book of his and I've not read it. But that's just always been my impression of him, and I've I've been pissed at him for that. Well here here it is nineteen two
thousand and four. They beat USC and then they lose to Washington that game. When he was found, it was in the hallway, kind of inay. He was on his phone as they were coming out. A week later, they lost the seat in the hall after having that big lead. You remember that was I remember I was. I was covering the team, and a week or two later, this is this is what I remember. I remember so much with him covering because it was difficult. They came back.
There was laying for the game a week later, and he was there, and I was chasing him down like you chased down Michael Bates to see where he's going, Uh, to see if he was going to jump, because we all knew he was going to jump to the NBA. He just wasn't ready to say so he knew I was chasing him down. He ducked into the women's locker room. He conducted the room to avoid me. So a couple of girls came out and says, did Audrey going there? No, we didn't see him. I knew he was in there, but you know
a few days later he announced he was leading. Yeah, it's just I've never been a big fan. But with your recollection, maybe not the right game. Yes, he had the phone on the phone before a game. Has ever gotten recomminded with Tonnel? I thought it was. I thought it was the NCAA tournament game. But I believe you, all right, Yeah, because there's certain things you remember because I wrote about it. Yeah,
yeah, it was. It was not believe speaking of guys that are tough to deal with, James Harden. He's not going to be playing in the preseason finale, who knows. I believe he has been out of practice as well. Again, anybody who has them on their team deserves what they get. Bottom line, you said it a few types. Bottom said it a few types. If you've got him and you're paying him, you deserve what you got because you knew he's been this guy from day one. You know.
It's like you know Antonio Brown and and some of these other guys that you know, you know, uh, Tarrell Owens, You're gonna get a guy who's just gonna be a big pain in the ass and they can't help themselves and you know, good luck and plus on top of everything else, he's from me. It's you. So I'm happy for whoever it hasn't because you deserve it. Yeah, I mean, seems like he has not played a full season with the team, and who knows how long since how many
championship how many championship teams has he been on? Zero zero? That's all you need to know about him. That's all you need to know about him. And it seems like everywhere he goes leading up to that season, everyone kind of talks it up and they forget what he has done. Yeah, well, you know, and okay, and I'm just kind of reaching on this one. But like for people who don't like kind of how loud and Dion Sanders has always been, you know, just sort of a look at
me kind of guy. But he won championships. He did not wreck teams right he went, he went, he was on championship teams. He didn't go out and wreck teams. James Harden Tera lolans like that they wrecked teams. You know, they're so bad that they can screw up an entire locker room and that's what they do. And so again, Philadelphi seventy six ers, good luck you got him. Figure it out. At this point, it's I'm just trying to figure out who is gonna take him, who would
want to trade for? Yeah, I'm not bringing that guy into my lock No good player, but the good's a good player. But yeah, is it worth it? I would probably not. I would never want to have that guy in my locker. Yeah, all right. Moving into the NFL injuries, looks like Justin Fields and Jimmy Garoppolo are both going to be out this weekend. So did you see where the starting quarterbacks are gonna be for
that game? Brian Hoyer is won who hasn't won a he hasn't won a game as a quarterback in seven years, and then the other guy is somebody who've never heard of. You know, I saw that. I saw the thing that you know that the Bears were gonna have, you know, a new guy, and that God, I'm gonna I'm gonna take the Raiders. And then Brian Warier's gonna couldn't be their starter. So I'm like, no, I'm not taking that. I'm not touching that. I'm not touching that
at all. Moving into the MLB stuff, so it looks like the Diamondbacks are gonna be going with the bullpen game tonight. Oh really. Yeah, they're gonna be starting one of their relievers on Mantiply, the left hander. Oh yeah, So we'll see how it goes if they can, if they can stay in it the first three innings, it's huge. They have to win tonight, man, they they have to first. You can't go down three one first first night game for them hosting, uh this series. So
ye, I know yesterday it was a day game. So tonight we'll see the Friday night in Phoenix. We'll see how how loud it gets over there. But a lot of energy over there if they can pull this out. You know again, at that game I went to, you know with the Dodgers, it was loud. It was loud there. The place was full, it was loud. It was a great environment. So if they if they you know, recreate that, you know, it can be hard. But uh, damn, the Phillies are good. That lineup. They just
it's seems like every night someone new it's on them. They're just really damn good. Yeah, you know Bryce Harper. And when you got a guy like Bryce Harper who goes out there every day and does what he does, then you know you have other guys who just come and do stuff. It's
they're really good, so, you know, be fun to watch. Yeah, we'll see how it goes because we know going back to Philly is not going to be easy for the Events, right, especially if they're down three to one, right they Yeah, they've got to get they've got to get this and try and go in there and win a couple. And then the Texas the same score. It's a four to two. Uh dollar. Dolas Garcia hit a three run homer Justin Berlander in the bottom of the bottom of
the sixth. There's now four to two Astros, I mean four two Rangers, top of the seventh, nobody on, nobody out, so again that day the Rangers need this one as well. Oh yeah, this for them, especially with when the Astros get hot, right, you guys, you don't want to have to go sweep at their place. We'll see how it goes. But both starters are knocked out of the game right as we speak. Well, Verlinder finished the inning, but I don't know if the if
he's coming back out for the next The Rangers are batting right now. The Rangers are batting now. Yeah, we'll see how that those series go. We haven't got a game seven or or a winner take all game yet. Yeah, we'll see. Maybe this series is love those fun Yeah, so we'll see how that goes. And then moving into some other MLB news, Gabe Kapler has interviewed for a front office job with the Red Sox. Okay, it looks like he's moving out of the manager Yeah. Yeah, you
get into an office. You know, you don't have to put the uniform on anymore. Hang out. I don't know if there's more pressure or less pressure as a probably the GM or whatever, you're probably about the same. If you're a GM, you know you gotta get guys. So yeah, all right, good for you. Yeah that's all the news I got. I don't know. I wanted to bring something up because of the Michigan situation with the spine on whatever they're doing, So they they suspended one of their
assistants. The guy who they're investigating is one of the assistants, a lower level assistant, so they suspended him with pay. But but you see this, it's been going on for a long time, right, what do you think? What do you think? Do you say? Like, coach, tell me real quick, Chip Kelly does his little screen, I remember him doing that and then doing and they still do it. They still have the
screens. They brought him here to Washington, Washington, and then all the cards, you know, all the cards, you know, you know, Taylor Swift and all these girls and the symbols and blah blah blah. So they know what happens. They know what happens. I don't know where I'm going with this conversation, but it happens. It's the signs. Deealing itself
is not the rule that's being broken. It's that they were sending somebody to other teams games and and and recording their signs so that they can figure them out that you can't do. We've talked about this before because I remember in covering Stoops football he was here and it was kind of something going on back then with other teams and you know the old practice field or the practice there
in the corner. He was afraid of somebody on the crossaway where Chieva Hut is now, I think, the corner, that they'd be having people there silly signs. And I said to myself, really, so I went to a press conference with him, I says, is it as simple as that, don't you went up to the days of you versus me and let's go, you know, let's play. And he said, yeah, it used
to be like that, but it's not anymore. It's not anymore, no, I mean, I mean, remember, uh when whenever they practiced in the in the stadium, Stoops used to send somebody to make sure there's nobody at the top on the roof of the parking garage, to make sure that there was nobody up there, you know, looking into the stadium and stuff like that. I'm not you know, but maybe I'm too simple and I don't understand. But okay, here we go. Jay's gonna run a sweep
writer or whatever they gotta do. It's gonna be moment. Remember there was a game. There was a game when rich Rod suspected that their signs were getting stolen and they huddled. They huddled a bunch of the game, not all of it, but a bunch of it because he hated he said huddles. There were waste of time. And I don't remember that they huddled a bunch because they were they thought that their signs were getting stolen. I can't remember who was against. I don't remember that. Yeah, okay, it
was just like what time. If you're good, come on, baby, bringing on. If you're not good, will too bad, you know. But but you know what, the Astros proved that you steal signs, you can win. It helps. Well, you know what pitch is coming, so right, But that's what I'm saying. If you know what pitch is coming, what play is coming, you know, whatever, you can do what you're gonna do. And you know what I mean. In the course
of a game. You know, you may know, you may know the play, but you can't get your guys in there to be just But other times you can, so you might at a key point stop a play or something like that. It gives you some of them some advantage, but not, you know, not on every single play if you know they're signs. But obviously it's a thing because they made a rule that's saying you can't do that right right, Well, it's because you think just on top of your
head. It's a combetitive advantage, yeah, or disadvantage. Yeah, all right. One that came across a little while ago. John Shire, the head coach at Duke A Young Guy uh signed A, has signed a six year extension of his contract at Duke there is a dollar amount because Duke is a private school and they don't have to give that out. Aaron Torres was on the show a little bit ago at an interesting comments and yeah, go go lock these guys, these thirty year old guys up, because you never
know when they're when they're gonna hit the road. And he said, not really, this is really stupid because you're you're locking yourself into a contract with a guy, and all you do do is wind up in a bad position if they screw it up down the road, like you know malth Tucker did it has done Michigan State. The thing that they're dealing with with Jimbo Fisher at Texas A and M. You signed these massive, long term contracts and then if it doesn't go well, you're stuck with them. And so he
basically said they shouldn't be doing that. So the fans are probably Duke fans right now on message Borders are probably excited. But if there's an early exit, they're so quick. He's just got there, he's been there two years. Why do you have to extend what has he done? You know you're extending his contract already, you know, I mean it seems it does seem silly, but you know, I don't know. They again, long term,
this is a topic for another whole day. They got to figure this out because this money is going to run out, because they're gonna have other places. They're gonna have to give it to mainly players. Thank you for having me on the show. Sure, sure, We're excited to season down here starts it starts for you as well. An exhibition game. What do you think
they're thinking as they come down to play the UVA. Yeah. Well, I think the first thing that O. J. Austin Johnson and the players expressed was how great of an experience this is to the team. Yeah, you know, it's not often that an NAI team gets to play a top twenty five team, much less like one of the pedigree of Arizona. So
I think they're looking at this as a good experience. And you know, the it is an exhibition for Lewis Clark obviously as well, so good time to get some minutes and look at some players that they haven't had a chance to so far. But yeah, I think they're just approaching this as a as a unique experience that not a lot of teams and their classification get to tell us a little bit about, you know, about who they are, what, you know, what their program has been like? What? Yeah?
What? You know, what what we can expect to see tonight? You know from from these guys? You know, what kind of a team are they? Yeah? Well, see, that's the the funny thing. I don't think anyone really knows that yet. You know, so many players on the team are either brand new to it or just uh, we're hurt.
The last season or two and didn't get a lot of minutes. So I think, you know, this game is crewial, you know, not obviously not for regular season standing, but for just being what kind of players they have and how they look in at a competitive format. Austin Johnson, the coach, and the preseason conference, he said that they're probably a few days away from being ready to play a full game in basketball, and I think that's just because they still have to figure out what team they have.
You know, they do have capability offensively and defensively kind of all levels of the court. They have the three point shooting, they have the facilitating, they have the interior post game, so they have all of that, but it's just a matter of seeing how that all goes together. Last year, the team had its first losing season under Johnson's tenure as coach, and the first losing period first loving season period since two thousand and nine, and a
lot of that was due to injury. So I think, you know, this year they're looking at one, you know, just trying to get a healthy squad out there and playing for the best their abilities, and two also just you know, getting back to kind of the level that they usually play at you know, their three three seasons away from the NAI National Championship game. You know, they had three conference titles in five years under Johnson as coach. So I think this game is really just kind of working out some
kings that they still think they probably have their in practice. Well, so just you know, trying to get back to their you know, usual level of LC men's basketball. Yeah, and welcome, you played the number twelve team in the country, right, So yeah, no, and obviously every both sides know where they stand. Arizona will be without three guys, three key guys, but still Arizona's gonna be pretty loaded. Good good to have them. And I didn't realize any any I A And they were in the
national championship game just three years ago. So and it was under the same coach. Yeah, it was under the same coach. It was about twenty twenty one title game, so two years ago, rapidly, right, right, So while he's got some chops coaching chops. And I'm sure people up up there followed this team pretty heavily. Oh yeah, no, absolutely. I Mean, if you know about LCSC sports at all, it's you know,
it's all the sports get a fair amount of support. But you know, baseball is keen, and you know, both the men's and the women's
team like really fall fall in the same tier. Is that you know, all three programs have had such a sustained level of success and several like really successful coaches coming from the Funk coming from those programs, and you know, uh, you know, for the community getting behind men's basketball team and the women's basketball team is you know, something they do on a on a yearly
basis. So yeah, and you talked about this a little bit, but are there some has the coach expressed some specific things that he wants to see, you know, in this game or is it just more of I just got to take a look because I don't know what I've got. I think
it's definitely more of bladder, you know. I think, you know, they do have one more exhibition game against gonzag and I think maybe that might be the game where they really like try and send out like a lineup they think they might go with during the regular season to see how that goes. But yeah, this team is really just trying to I think see who they have in players. You know, they have a few guys that they're really
excited about. You know, Grayson Hunt is a guy who last year was a freshman and lucked really significant minutes due to the injuries, and you know, he has another year on his belt and he you know, I mentioned the post game of Elsie, he's kind of like the you know, that
engine down below the basket. And then they they have a true freshman Mickay Morris that they were really excited about and really thinking can be a true for general on the team, which is, you know, kind of an embarrassment of riches for them because they already have like two really good guards and Sam Stockton and and uh uh John Lustig. So I think that, yeah, this game is really going to be about just trying to figure out who they
have and how it mentions that, how it meshes together. So I think you mentioned this at the beginning of the hour beginning of the show, when when you came on to say that I'm sure that a lot of the kids, a lot of the students welcome this game because when do you have a chance to face a team like Arizona and then they're gonna go play Gonzaga. So you know how many times does that happen? Yeah, you know, there's there's actually a bit of connection between Elsie and Gonzaga. You know the
Sam stock And I mentioned him. He's the youngest son of John talks in Okay, So you know there's that Gonzaga Stockton relationship with LC and uh you know, I I do believe they've played, you know, in exhibition games in the past. You know, the school and Gonzaga have a pretty good relationship. You know for several different sports. Uh, you know, they compete against each other, either during preseason for the team sports or like even
for something like cross country or track and field. You know, those two programs aren't you know, unfamiliar from each other. So you know, that's a that's a good relationship. You know, Sam talked about a little bit in the same preseason media conferences I reference. You know, he's obviously excited about it. And then again kind of luck with Arizona just getting a chance to play a top twenty five team, which is something that not a loav
n Ai teams get a chance to get. You mentioned the thing that always gets me about games like this that when Arizona faces they inevitably face a three point shooter that you wish they had. Does Lewis and Clark have that three point shooter that we're gonna go, what the hell is he doing playing at Lewis and Clark. Oh yeah, I mentioned John Lustig. You know, he's a local kid. He's from Culpax, which is about a half hour
away from from Lewiston or forty five minutes. You know, he he is more than capable of, you know, really having a good showing from beyond the art. You know, I don't have the exact stats in front of me, by we had several games last year where he uh, you know, had was really efficient. I'm looking at one game last year where he was he was it looks like three for five or four for six. So
there's that. You know. Daveian Brown is another kid who really really can be a threat from the perimeter and you know the on the defensive side too. You know, that's something that he's gotten commend commended by the coaches for it, is taking that improvement. But yeah, no, they have several guys that are really capable of shooting it from beyond the ark. And you know they you mentioned in the new players. You know, we still have to see how they how they do you know, they might even have more
than just those couples. So uh, yeah, it's going to be a really exciting game just to see like kind of what players emerge and kind of what becomes available for Elsie that you know, maybe they we didn't know they had before. Yeah, so you must be a school that's not too far from Pullman from Washington State, and and Gonzi against Spokane. Yeah, yeah, Elsie is uh, it's about so it's kind of like a big cluster
of just university. So there's the University of Idaho, which is in Moscow, Idaho, which is eight minutes away from Washington State in Pullman, and both of those are a half hour away from Elsie and Lewiston. And then Gonzaga is about a two hour drive north from uh from Washington State. So it's just kind of like one big cluster. Yeah, Okay, makes sense, makes sense. Okay, I'm sure you're disappointed that you weren't able to
come down here. What's what's the temperature right now up there? Oh gosh, I even't even check today. Seventy one degree what degrees? That's winter for us? It's one hundred today. But you know, we won't talk about that so too bad. You would have got a ten today. Well, good to talk to you, Good to talk to you. I had another game and then I said, no, I don't like that game. It just doesn't make sense to me. So I want to go with Oklahoma State. Uh, minus three and a half, I guess against the West Virginia or plus three and a half. I dance plus three and a half. Let me see what is it? Is it plus three and a half? I like, yes, plus three. I'll take
the three and a half. I'll take the Oklahoma State three and a half. Playing better. They're playing much better football, yeah than they had been. Right, So that's kind of why I like to I know they'd be a issue. And then they played last week and they won as an underdog. I think, so it wes. Virginia is kind of like not so good. So three and a half Oklahoma State? All right, I'm jumping back on a bandwagon that I jumped off of and should have stayed on.
Is that Oklahoma? Oklahoma? Who are they playing? They're playing Central Florida. It's Central Florida, seventeen seventeen and a half. It's at Oklahoma, Okay, and it's a it's a big twelve game for Central Florida. I saw the I just feel like, I, you know, I abandoned the bandwagon because they lost. I should have just stayed on it and I would have hit. I would have hit that game against Texas and everyone did I tell you because because you got off of it. Yeah, I jumped out.
You jumped on I jumped I'm on it now and I'm staying on it. So I got Oklahoma. I saw that game, giving seventeen and a half to Central Florida. I saw that game and I said, you know what, I'm gonna stop it because I think you're gonna get a buck on it, and I am I did. Okay, very predictable. That's cool. Okay, So this is a game I kind of really liked. I didn't know who they're playing, but Oregon minus twenty against Washington State. Yes, and it's that point in fact, you know, I don't care about
points. You don't think they're gonna score enough point you don't think I don't think I was gonna score I don't have that. I don't care about any points. I just care about the situation. So Oregon minus twenty against Washington State, Oregon's coming off a loss, and they're pissed and boom. Yeah see I think you know, there's you know, the questions are they going to be mad or are they gonna be you know, they're gonna be pissed. They're still the best team in the league, passed the best team at
home. Yeah, it's at and they're my lock. There're my college lock. You're gonna lock down? Yeah all right, you know, well you know what I think. I'm locking Oklahoma. So okay, okay, all right, okay, my uh my next college pick. Yeah, it's set. I'm taking Stanford. They're they're getting seventeen from U C. L A. Yeah, that's that's a good number. UCLA might not score seventeen points, Okay, it's a Stanford. They're coming off that huge comeback win over
to Colorado. I think Stanford is you know, they're that team that everybody thought was going to be really bad, and they were. They started playing better, nearly beat Arizona. Then they did what they did against Colorado last week. I feel good about themselves and against Seventeen is a lot for UCLA to be giving. I don't think they've scored seventeen in the last several weeks, so I think that's a big number. I'm so I'm I'm all over
Stanford at home against UCLA. Okay, I'm indifferent to that game. Okay, so now go to the pros because I you take more of those. I'm gonna go with the Rams over the Steelers at home. I think the Rams are still kind of finding themselves, but they're finding themselves in a good way. Rams minus three at home right against against the Steelers. I looked at that hard, but I and I went to when I went to the NFL board, I said, well, I got to pick the Eagles Dolphins
game. And then I just jumped on. There aren't very many sexy games this week. In yeah, I mean there. Then there's some bad ones. I mean that that that the Raiders Bears game. Oh my god, nobody should be getting any points in them. You canceled because of bon Yeah, exactly. You got the Commanders and the Giants. That's a terrible game. You got the Cardinals and the Seahawks, terrible buckas talkings and bucks a
terrible game. You know, there's a bunch of bad games. So anyways, all right, but I'm taking them one more college game again, a bandwagon that I should have gone on a long time ago and didn't. But I'm getting on now. North Carolina giving twenty three and a half to Virginia. They're at North Carolina. Virginia is just a bad team. North Carolina thinks they can get into the playoffs. That's with under the twenty four by half a point. I think that's a good number. So I got North
Carolina giving twenty three and a half to Virginia. Okay, I went with the rems. Okay, I really wasn't sure about this game, but I'm gonna do it anyway. Uh, Seahawks MIGHTUS seven and a half over the Cardinals. I just don't think the Cardinals are very good. Yeah, but you know the Seahawks their defense is pretty good, and the Seahawks that they
just don't score a ton of points. So but you know, if you, I mean, if you're bet down that game, your bet against the Cardinals, Yeah, of course, what was your previous what was your previous one? You last one? I took North Carolina, all right, I know that, I know that. I know these guys pushed in in a bad game against a bad team, but they've helped me, you know, pretty much all season long. I'm taking the Chiefs. I like that game
a lot. I really did. Yeah, they're they're at home. They're giving five and a half to the Chargers, so it's under a touchdown. I think the Chargers are just running. Their season is getting ruined, you know, right, Yeah, it's coach, it's coach. They need to get rid of the coach. Well, whatever points you need to get rid of. I like that number, But to me, that's a trick number because in my in my the rivera line that would be like an eight.
It be like an eight. So what's up with that time? Somebody, if somebody knows something number exactly. Either they play them well or that's just a tricky number to me. I hate those numbers. But I I you know, I look, I looked down the line and said, how do you not take the chief? Right? No, exactly, I think. But it's a weird number, isn't it? Because it's too few, too few points? I think that game should be. Yeah, like I said, eight or not, and you think, okay, I'll take those points.
But then five and a half of why not give them? Okay? So now I think that's a good pick. But I but I but I don't know. I just think that's a crazy number. All right, Okay, So now the Eagles and the Dolphin. My locke. I really had a hard time figuring this and out. I wanted to go with the Eagles. I wanted to go to the Eagles. They got beat last week, right, they got They're at home this week, prime to come back from that. But Miami is so damn good, and it's they're not facing Buffalo.
So the Eagles, I think we'll lose two straight. It's only two and a half, could come down to a field goal. U. So I'm taking Miami. I'm taking a team that will score points rather than rather than not score points. All right, well I'm on the opposite. I ended that. I like it. I'm taking the Eagles. Like Eagles. I don't know how you don't take the Eagles at home again coming off a loss. I have a hard time thinking they're gonna lose. You know,
I like the Dolphins a lot. I mean, they covered, they covered formula. They were my one team that covered for me last week. They got me a point or no, they got me to not be negative is what they did. So, you know, and they were down fourteen to nothing in that game, right when fourteen nothing sure and you're thinking of because I'm not, I thought I'm toast. Yeah, like, what do you do? But that was way early, and you know they're gonna score points
and they did. Yeah. I like the Eagles. I like both of the I like both of these quarterbacks. You know, I think these are the two kind of leading guys for the for the m v P. You know, it's less than a field goal I'm taking. I'm taking. This could be a preview of the Super Bowl. This could be a preview of
Super Bowl Champancisco, Philadelphia. Samson has got a bunch of injuries. They got a bunch of guys that might not playing, but those two still San Francisco to the Chiefs and Dolphins. Right, Buffalo steaking, Buffalo, they steak. They're still They're still going to be pretty good. They still have enough people, the fire powerate people. They almost thought they were going to lose. They really should have on Monday or Sunday Sunday night, Yeah,
they should have. They didn't cover. No, no, okay, So those are all right, So here we go. Uh, I'll recap Steve he's got Oklahoma steak yadding three and a half from West Virginia. At West Virginia, he's taking Oregon. He thinks that he thinks they're really mad about that loss to Washington as opposed to being demoralized by it. They're giving twenty to Washington State. That game is at Oregon. The Rams are at home giving three to the Steelers. You locked Oregon, right, Yeah. The
Seahawks are at home giving seven and a half to the Cardinals. If that was a six and a half, I think that that that, you know, would be something I'd be more inclined to do. But seven and a half just the Seahawks just don't seem to throw a lot of points on the board. I think Cardinals have a good defense, so you're gonna lose that one. So you know that makes some That means I'm gonna win a lot. And then in the in the special game, Steve's got the Dolphins getting
two and a half at the Eagles. I'm back on the Oklahoma bandwagon giving seventeen and a half to Central Florida. I've got Stanford getting seventeen at home from Ucla. I just think their defense is pretty good. But if they can hold Arizona to twenty one points, that you can hold Ucla to like four. I got North Carolina giving twenty three and a half to Virginia. Uh, just seeing know where this is coming from, Steve. North Carolina
and Oklahoma are two of the top teams against the spur. Oklahoma is is whereth they They're five and one. I had them in the one that they did cover. North Carolina is also five and one, but they've covered four in a row. You know who's really good against the spread? Steep Arizona. Yeah, they're also five and one against the spread. Yeah, the only game they didn't cover was Stanford the twenty one twenty game, and the
only two undefeated teams against the spread are Penn State and un LV. Did you think about the Penn State No, No, we talked about that right before, because we'll know if Ohio State's legit or not. Yeah, yeah, I don't know. I don't know enough about either team. Yeah, oh I picked it Ohow State. There's a lot and this is this is the year that that Penn State gets them. But I didn't have enough faith
in either one of that. Anyways, my pro games are Chiefs minus five and a half at home against the Chargers, and then, as we said, I took the Eagles giving the two and a half at home to the Dolphins. So Steve and I are on opposite ends of the of the Eagles Dolphins. You see, you have some explaining to do. You have a lot of kitchen up to do. Yeah, you know, Steph. At this point, I just I just don't want to be the worst ever in this pool. That's all I'm shooting for now. I'm trying to shoot the
top. I'm shooting for twenty one points. I'm trying to see. I don't know if I can get there. We are in fifty fiftieth place out of over a thousand, So that's pretty good. Yeah, I'm not even gonna say what I am because it's bad. They can tell it's really bad. You can tell your voice and hold my son. My son goes dead. Did you know? And I said, yes, I know, Yes, I know, I know you need to tell me. I am well aware. I'm well aware. You know, at least at least people know
