Steve Rivera and Jayden Sollins. They have their Eye on the Ball on Tucson Sports Stage yet Fox Sports fourteen fifty. Hey, welcome back to Eye on the Ball here on Fox Sports fourteen fifty. I'm Steve. He's Jay got sitting with the breaking news his Eye on the News on Fox Sports fourteen to fifty. All right, so we'll start off with some NBA stuff we talked about before the show started. The NBA n Season Tournament starts today. There's a couple of games on ESPN. So first year with this, so we'll

see how it plays out. I'm not sure how I feel about it. By the nd season tournament, we'll see if the players are bought into this thing they weren't going in Yeah, yeah, yeah. Well the thing is is that you know, they're also worried about, you know, doing the you know, the game management stuff or the injury injuries, and you know, sitting out games because they're playing to then you stick a turn in the middle of the season. Yeah, yeah, it doesn't really It didn't really

make any sense to me when they decided to do this. And who's where's is there buzz right among NBA fans about this tournament, like, okay, I can't wait to see who wins this tournament. Yeah, as of right now, I am not into it. So I mean, I'm not like marking this on my calendar like every year. So I think it's more just to get that the already NBA fans more about it, because I feel like at some point they're they're gonna I'll say this because we talk about this a

lot. I don't know very many people that watch the NBA now exactly exactly, not until the playoffs. Yep, not until the playoffs and everybody some people do obviously. I watched the Golden State Warriors when I can have time, and I see that. Yeah, And like last night, I watched the Sons in San Antonio again a little, but I didn't watch it all. Yeah, I just can't watch and kind of turn it and say,

okay, that's cool. And then but do you know many I don't know many that j I know, Jay doesn't right NBA fans A couple, Yeah, my kids, you know, my kid and his buddies two thirty okay, yeah, yeah yeah. If the NBA thinks that doing this will get maybe football fans, so let me turn on the tournament. I don't I don't know if that's things were going to happen. Well here at limput it this way, I don't know even of one and a true NBA fan who's

around my age right right. I know some young guys because they love the players and you know, the gear and the shoes and the all that stuff. You know, it all adds up to them being fans of the NBA. But you know, you and I it does. When we were going up, we were watching it because of the NBA, because the games, you know, not because somebody was wearing a certain shoes and we and we watched it frequently because back in the day the channels were fewer. Remember that.

Remember that even the NBA Finals would be taped lay They weren't even lying wow, yeah the artist think of that Bolds on the wall, It come on the NBA. The an NBA Finals game would come on here ten thirty at night after the news? What wow? What? What like? What? Who was using the finals that? Well? That was interesting. That

was the years leading up to the Lakers Boston thing. It was when Magic and Larry Bird you know, came around and became the you know, the space that that's when that started to change, and that's why they credit those guys with saving the NBA, because the NBA had been relegated to like, you know, a third class sport. I mean, it wasn't even close.

And you know, you could listen to the NBA Finals if radio station in your town could pick up the game, or who you would do is you would Since we didn't have internet, you could just not know who won. And then if you really were that fan, you'd watch it at ten thirty at night because on delay. Wow, the only place that was on live was in the cities who were involved. We used to walk to school with no shoes too, in the snow. I have stories for you,

all right. Yeah, so yesterday, obviously everyone's talking about it a little bit. But when but Yama dropped thirty eight to beat the Suns kind of like the coming out party for him. It sounded like, I mean, it was like thirty eight to sixteen or crazy number. He's the first or second player to have like one hundred point. Yeah, I'm looking at it across he's he's uh, he's the only only other rookie besides David Robinson, who scored one hundred points in five games. Right. In fact, Shaq

talked about him yesterday. You see that quote, We've never seen a player like him in the checks. So yeah, we have Bull Bowl and people like, what what are you talking about? I still have that picture of him stretching to to block a KD three pointer last that ran last year, like d no, people being sort of freaking out, what the heck's going on? Oh my it yeah, every I feel like so many Arizona sports, it's so they just so easily get cat in. The takes no time,

takes no time whatsoever. Moving into some baseball stuff. I don't know if you saw Jay, but Kershaw was gonna go under undergo surgery for his left shoulder. Well, we'll see what the plan is there. He's old, he's just yeah, it's told thirty. Yeah, that's thirties. He's got a lot of years and he's a Hall of Famer. He's got a lot of years in you know, his his fastball isn't what it used to

be. His back is always bothering him. Yeah, it's it's it's becoming a point now where if the Dodgers even have him on the team, he's gonna be the probably the fifth guy has to be as far as innings go, you know what I mean. We'll see how it goes. But yeah, a lot of the MLB guys are starting to go in a free agency. Justin Turner saw Dodgers sign Max Once yesterday signed Max Yep. We'll see what else happens. But going into keeping the baseball stuff related to Arizona,

the Guardians claimed Alfonso Rivas. Oh yeah, nice, so former Wildcat, former Wildcat getting shot. All right, there's more and more. And he was up with the Astros this year. He was with no, no, no, it was a catcher who was up with yeah, the sal Yeah, okay, So we're starting to see more, more and more Arizona guys in my home that sometimes. I know. We saw Kevin Gigle play a huge, huge, so we've reached the Dodger hour. Kevin the diamond back.

He's gonna make a lot of money. Just yeah, that was very impressed. He's gonna make a lot of money. He's very really Yeah. And they're moving into some uh some football stuff here. So I don't know if you guys saw, but a lot of people were starting to talk about the potential flag Football Olympics. Patrick Mahomes came out and said that he's he's playing on trying to get into that. Who Patrick Mahomes? WHOA, what do you really? Yeah, so he's trying to They're they're gonna try to

get as many guys. Okay, obviously it's gonna be tough because of injuries and guys going out there risking it. Stuff in people's contract holy oh yeah, Now no, I don't know if you knows, but is it is there a man's and women's in the I believe there? Yeah, there's both. Okay, that'd be fun. Yeah, So we'll see how many NFL guys there are. But I'm sure plenty of the XFL USFL guys will be more than happy to be a part of that as well. So we'll see.

We'll see how that goes with it. But sticking with football, related to college football, McAfee and Ree Davis are going to try to create their own NFL. I don't know if you guys are familiar with the NFL Red Zone channel where they go through like every single touchdown. Yeah yeah, I watch that game. Yeah, So they're they're going to try to do that

for college football tomorrow, I believe. Actually, really yeah, I'm sure it's going to be on whether it's on YouTube or if it's gonna I think it's gonna be on ESPN channel because something Ree Davis so after after you love that it's a really good idea, Well, I would if it wasn't. Pat McAfee, Well, you don't have to listen. Well, I guess you do. You do? You're going from play from game to game to game to game. Well, yeah, yeah, but I also wonder too.

I also wonder too if it's going to be limited to the ESPN games on that right, because there's the Fox has a bunch of games, CBS has games. You know, are they gonna be able to get all the games unless they come to some agreement that lets them do that? Okay? Did you well go ahead. Did you hear about the my urban minorit to Michigan State? Do you have that on that thing? That? No,

it's maybe it's the internet fodder. But I saw that today. I'm thinking, really wow, that not that it's happened, right, but that that's that's the room. I've seen the Rich Rich Rich Road, West Virginia. I've seen a little bit of that. I don't know. Going back. Yeah, I've seen a lot of that on a couple a couple of good sources on Twitter. I forget their names, but they came out and said the possibility, it's a real possibility. So we'll see. Okay, No,

I didn't see that. Speaking of the Michigan's, it just came across that University of Michigan has fired Connor Stallions. He was suspended earlier, sure is now officially fired. Still, you know, going into the the investigation into that, which is just getting worse and worse. You keep seeing pictures of the Stallions on the sidelines with you know, the coordinators and stuff, and uh, you know, you know again what's gonna happen. But I

don't know, but this is clearly bad for Michigan. Yeah, we'll see what happens there. I know there's a lot of speculation about Harball to the NFL as well. I don't know. We'll see what happens, but I believe for the most part, they're gonna give them some sort of extension if he wants it. Well, they were, They were about to announce one, supposedly, and then they held off because of all this they're gonna wait

and see what comes out of this. Yeah, we'll see. But sticking with college football, Colorado has announced the past Sherman is gonna be their new play caller. Yeah. Yeah, so it's crumbling over there. Yeah, it's just fast, very fast. Well, a lot of people said they were gonna because it's be interesting to see how Dion Sanders handled stuff when it wasn't going on, when they were losing. Do you read Woodlock He rips, He rips on all the time. Yeah, go read him. It's

just unbelievable. He rips them everything every time. Well, and then you know already there's there's rumors that Dion is going to the Raiders. Yeah, because they just fired their coat. I don't think he's gonna go. He said he not that he's not there. You say things, any mean things, But I don't think he can he can handle the NFL. They're too they're too much like him. Yeah that's exactly what I was. Yeah right here. Yeah, for college kids, he can be a guy that can

look up to. But for NFL player that's maybe been there in the NFL for five years, they need somebody else. Yeah, they're gonna see your your game doesn't work here, Your stick doesn't work here? Right, Yeah, he'll say, and get the hell out of here. They'll get somebody that doesn't work. The Raiders are already bad. Who they're gonna get?

Oh god, here's the funny thing. So on the on the on the tweet where it was Dan Wetzel who tweeted out that they've that Connor Stallions have been fired from Michigan the first the first reply is Central Michigan is going to fire him next. Oh my, that was pretty good. That's pretty good. All right, Okay, sorry the last one here. Uh. Noah is the first FBSQB since twenty twelve to make his first four starts against the

top twenty five teams. I say that's a good resume for him. And he's won two of them and then he played well in the other two. Yeah. Yeah, I have one for you last night to Nick Folk set a record. Did you see that last Yeah, he set a record for consecutive seventy first consecutive field goal made under forty yards. He's made seventy one straight under forty Dang, he's been in one thousand years too. Like George, he played here on the stoops. He's been, there's been there have

been three more coaches since he played there. Yeah, yeah, he's been a long time. He was good here too, obviously. Yeah, yeah he was good. I have one hope heise the year goal Caper Arizona named PAC twelve scholar, a Fleet of the Year. She's and she's very good. She's local kid. Uh done a great job. She set that. She set the saves record, uh for for Arizona. I had it right here earlier, the sheriff. Yeah, she's got three hundred and sixty one

saves. You know, one more game tonight, one more master against a against a s U. But she's eighth all time in the PAC twelve. So but I've put in a request to see what we get her on the show. That'd be great. We've had her dad on all the time. Or two I have another one. You remember Gary Coulson. Yeah, where from from? God? Damn Steve the lobo she scooched lobo? Okay, okay, okay, Yeah, he passed away, passed away either yesterday or

today. Yeah, he dance some battles. I remember that almost said U c l A but that wasn't right. He was then he went from there, he got fired there and then went to president of State. He had a long career in fact, Uh, he coached. You won't believe this. This is because I'm to him, mister Paul Whiteman back to the ball dust to State coached. Yeah, they were together. Yeah, so it was the goals. They're just a couple of years older. Paul's got Milde.

Paul's winning races at the Derby. What are you talking about? Yeah, speaking up Breeders Cup today today, Right, it's at Keenland. I thought it's a Saturday. Oh why did I I saw my on my cable directory that it was the cland that's what I thought. I thought it was always a Sandy Needa. Right, oh yeah, there's a monitor. Know it's been a Churchill a few times. Right, they move it around, they move it, but it's a sandy need a bunch. I thought it

was a Sandy Needa. But you know my directory that said you know America's day at the races from the Breeders Cup and it said Keenland. Yeah, no, it's aid Satday. Okay, they're almost done for the day. Yeah, all right. I don't know how our friend D is doing over. There's doing all that she's doing. Fin in fact, communicated with there this morning and yesterday, so she's living it up. She's not doing not doing what she's having a blast. Yes, all right, okay, man,

all right, let's take our break. We'are to come back. We're gonna git Jake Fisher on the line. We'll see what he's got to say about Scooby right and plane Nick to him. And you know who was mentor who was a student if at all? So so stick around and Jake Fisher

Steve Ravera and Jag and Salz they have their eye on the ball on Tucson Sports Stage yet Fox Sports fourteen fifty streaming live on the IHG Radio Las. Hey, welcome back to I have them all here on Fox Sports fourteen fifty. I'm Steve,

You're Jake. Jake on the line, Jake Pitcher, how you doing well? How are you guys? Joe? Fine, This is a Blindbacker University today with Scooby on now you well, you had to have the better of thirty three on last. I was gonna say, kidding, yeah, well, we were having fun with you just before, just where he came on you since you and Scooby did play together, but he was a he was the youngster in the group at the time. You were the what did

you call yourself, the elder Statesman or something like that. Yeah, the old ass guy. No, that's a little bit about that linebacking room. Maybe the twenty twenty twelve twenty thirteen, well maybe the twenty thirteen season, because that was really when Scooby started. We started seeing a lot of him. Yeah, no, it was It was fun We actually had two NFL linebackers in that room. We had Marquise who was a former safety as well.

And it was really funny because that first year Coach Casteele basically said, hey, you know Scooby's playing. Obviously he's a lot. He's really really good as a youngster, but the platebook was, you know, it was pretty big. So whenever he didn't know what to do and I had a blitz, basically I would just tell him to take the blitz over for me.

And that's how Coach Castiel called him most of the time, because we just wanted to let the guy who his hair is always on fire and he's like a you know, he got like a battery pack and him he just never stops, and we want him after the quarterbacks. And so the one interception I got, I was supposed to be the one blitzing. Oh well he went and then I went ahead and I covered his team and I just so happened to get a saw it. So I asked him about when he

thought when he did he think that he could play right away? What did you see it? What did you see that he would be pretty good? Well, we were down at Fort Wachuoka. You know, I remember vividly he was going against our ones and twos, and you know, he was getting worked into the end of the too deep. I think he started out as a three or four and he was going against all the other young guys

and it was just way too easy for him. And so, uh, you know, we started, you know, he started in the two and then I think Hanks ended up getting dinged up a little bit, and then he just played so good at the same position that they basically said, yeah, he's going to be starting from here on house. So once he got the position, which it didn't take him very long to do, he never

looked back. Well, when you're you know, when you're the guy on the field and who's been there a while and a guy like that comes along, whether you know he was a linebacker or a safety or whatever, and you see that, do you have the ear of the coaches to be able to tell a coach, look, this guy he's got it where he doesn't have it or whatever? Do you is it your place to do that or do they hear that from you guys? Cooh yeah, and they'll they'll last

the old guys opinions or the lastest start of the opinions. And you know, my opinion was, Hey, this kid's really good. You know who We got to play them, so you know, I didn't have to tell coach Getsfield that Coach kt Stieler Andy new he grew on the bark a few times and one of the better defensive coordinators out there. But yeah, I

mean both of us saw it pretty instantly. Marquis saw it, and especially guys on the other side of the ball during practice, they all saw it too because they had to go against it every day and they you know, they didn't like it. Yeah, no, no question, Le's kid of the game. Yeah, you bring up your stuff with the UCLA. Yeah, well we're talking about how you know, as much as we talk about USC and Washington and Oregon and you know, playing against those guys that over

the years, especially with Arizona's really good teams. Okay, the twenty fourteen team that won the Pac twelve South, the ninety eight team that only lost one game, the ninety three team that went to the field. All those teams lost to UCLA. You know, it's kind of like you expect to lose to USC, but when UCLA comes around, you think you should beat them, and then in those instances they didn't. UCLA has kind of been a thorn, even more so than I think USC. You know, what

do you what do you think about playing UCLA? What what goes through your mind? As far as that goes you. I think of them as a thorn on the side too. I mean my senior year, right Scooby's freshman year, they had Blett Hunley and that was a pretty damn good team as well. And then that next year, even though Scooby had an insane game when they were at the Rose Bowl, they still ended up you know, pulling that one out. And I think they were only the second team that

we had lost to all year. I think they had went on the road the Oregon and then we lost on the field goal sc and then we lost, you know, a very close game to UCLA as well. So they've always been a thorn on the side. They have really good athletes, you know, they have you know, folks in LA that they can pick from that might not be big times you know, sc fans, and so they get to pick up the litter too. And you know, obviously I have

chips Telly there, so good coach, good scheme and everything. And now it looks like they have actually found some decent quarterback play and they have a good defense. So obviously we have our work cutout for us. I think last week's game against Oregon State may go you know, a long way and us being able to you know, hang with this team down to the last second and hopefully fill out of victory. But we'll see. Yeah, okay, Well, it's weird to see UCLA running up coming over here with a

great defense. It is. Yeah, normally they can ask Scoria, but having a defense like that, it's pretty surprising. But hey, you know, it's the PAC twelve, last year in existence, and it seems like every damn teeth is really good. So just another one. I'm gonna humble myself a little bit, a little bit, a smidge to my boy Jack Fisher, I said yesterday, if they get to eight, I'm gonna apologize. I'll buy you dinner whatever you want. But you might be right.

You might be right. Sorry about what sorry about you being right on the eight wins if they get there, well, I think, yeah, I was thinking seven and then bowl game. But if they keep going up like this with the trajectory that they're that they're playing right now, they might get eight during the regular season, and Mike Tack went on in the bowl game. But I'm holding steady at eight. So so the last really the last, you know, these two games against ranked teams and not teams that shouldn't

have been ranked. I mean, they're legitimately ranked teams, and THESONEA has played so well. You know, you know Oregon in Washington State, is was there a little something happened between the two losses to USC and Washington and then going into Washington State in Oregon State, did you see anything different other than maybe the quality of the team that they played and they you know,

were able to beat the teams that they that they did well. I think the game when we went to Mississippi State, we knew we should have won that game in Mississippi State, even tho they're kind of the middle of the road STC team, I think that you know, for a lot of that game, we were able to control the line of scrimmage. It really goes to show you that, you know, we can actually play with teams that

have those types of big bodies. And then I think when we only lost to Washington by my touchdown, which right now, I think that's the only team that we played against that's better than us, and then you know we've all on the road, we should have beat FC. I think pus back to back against top ten teams really go a long way for us believing that we're actually a good team. You know, I heard it clip the other day where Jetfish he said, you know this year, we don't you know,

it's not like we're wondering if we're a good team. We know we're a good team. So you know, in the locker room, everyone believes that it's there. We have NFL talent. And I think that as soon as we kind of got the jitters out on that first drive against Washington State, we went and took into the woodshed. It's so funny because we broke st it seems like, and then we broke Washington State. I want to see how Oregon State fairs after her game. But I just think these guys

believe, they know that we're talented. We have a really good quarterback, obviously see why people keep bringing up, you know, the fact and even Jeff Fish knows. I think he's trolling you guys. But you know, I think we found the quarterback of the future, and uh, you know, from here on how it's just about improving every single week. And then you know, I mean, think about the expectations going in the next year.

Guys, like if we do win eight games, you know, we're able to hang on to the coach and thankfully we're going to the Big twelve, we'll have a little bit more money to retain them. But I mean, think about what next year is going to look like. They just need to keep getting better. I agree with you trolling us, It really is real quick. Yeah, I think he's heard the rumblings, and I think he's trolling you guys. You know, you talk about breaking the other team.

I think somebody posted a stat a couple of days ago so on for the only team of of Arizona's first they've got eight opponents. The only team that won its next game after after playing Arizona is Washington. Everybody else hearn pretty big team. I think, yeah, they're pretty decent, but every other team that's played Arizona has lost its next game, so you're right to

be interesting to see what Oregon State does. So Jake, Jake, I asked Jed a couple of things about culture and when that started to change, and two about confidence. Let me ask you this, at what point in any of your good teams that you started feeling that you had what it took to move forward because of confidence? Well, you know what I think, Uh see, when I ended up getting there, it was after they had beat uy in the bowl game my freshman year. I saw things really start

to click. I would say probably right after that Iowa game. We went up to what was it Oregon State. Yeah, we had those back to back they at Oregon State and we had Washington and we lost on an insane call against Washington that that game was rigged and no problem. But we beat Oregon State, you know, and we knew we were pretty good because the

conference was pretty damn good. And then you know, I think towards the end of the year, well we ended up beating sc you know, we knew that we can you know, pretty much play with anyone, and then we lost that heartbreaker. Obviously, before that Oregon go on the road, we beat as in the last segment the field goal, we knew we were good. And then going into that next season, it was just about taking

the next step. And unfortunately, after that damn debacle where we absolutely got just ran over by Stanford, it seemed like we lost a lot of our mojo. So I've seen it both ways with rich Rod. I mean, we came out, we started with a bang, we beat a pretty good Toledo team, and then after we ended up beating Oklahoma State, we knew we can hang with folks. Yeah, and then we had a middle of the season law didn't play very well, and then we finished strong. So,

like I said, I've seen a team lose its confidence. I've seen a team, you know, play with confidence through the roof. With this rebuild, year three is always kind of Hey, this is when culture should be good. This is when we should have good players, especially now at the transfer portal. This is when we should be you know, we should have our quarterback, our systems in place. And Jed's right on the money

right there in yere three. He's killed, he really is. And and you know again you said, you sit here in my shoes watching Arizona all these years, when you think you're always thinking the worst instead of the bed I have no confidence. Okay, I'll just say it like that when it comes Arizona football, because you know, we've had our heartbroken so many times. But it's like you know, I said earlier in the year, the Stanford game this year, that's a game that Arizona loses in the past.

It goes on the road, plays bad against a bad team, and loses. And Arizona pulled that one out. And then you know, you play a couple of good games, you start feeling good about yourself, and then you step on yourself and you and you lose the game. And but they haven't done that. They played those those two really good games against USC and Washington even though they were both losses, and they could have, you know,

they could have had their heads down. Instead they went and beat the crap out of Washington State, a great win, feeling good about yourself. And here comes Oregon State and again another game that historically Arizona loses, and they didn't. And so it's like it's hard to get it's hard to feel like this is real as far as that goes. But so far they're proven it well and imagine if we didn't go on the road and play you know,

a pretty decent Mississippi State team. I think if Stanford would have been our first big WILL game, I think we might have lost that one. Yeah, and the fact that you know, Fafita came in and he was there to save the day. I mean sometimes these seasons, especially during a turnaround, there are more things that you get lucky with and sometimes that's okay. I just honestly, I think that these guys are peaking at the right

time. Defense is playing lights out. You know, we've already seen that we can go toe to toe with in Oregon State, and you know, I think we broke him in the fourth quarter when we needed first downs, we got him, you know, all number five I think it was was talking trash before the game and Williams ran him over to plays in a row to kind of ice the cake and just show them that we're here and you

know, we know what we're doing. We know how to ice a game, and I guess to get the quality opponent that kind of just shows you that we're already here and all we can do from here on I was just

keep building. So ask me your what if questions, do you you okay, did you as an athlete, you know, ever play What if I asked Jed this, you know, what if you don't play so crappy in the first quarter of the Mississippi State game, what if one play goes different and you win, usc you're sitting here seven and one instead of you know, five and three. Do players play the white if game like that? He said, he doesn't. I know he does. There's no way he

did you kill yourself? Yeah, this is the thing. Coaches, even if they do play that, they're I mean, they're not going to put that in the player's head. No, they mean it's one of those things where you might talk to it amongst yourselves. But at the same time, we know that we should be the seven to one team. However we're not.

And so what that goes to show is that we still do need to continue building the culture, right, you know, we still need to get a few things tweeked, you know, we need to get you know, maybe some of these young guys who may have messed the thing up or two you know, maybe they just need to tighten up their you know what they're doing, and hey, listen to turnovers the turnovers. That was big the first game. You know, if we had one less turnover, we win

that game. Right after the first quarter, we controlled the entire band ball game. And then when it comes to the sc debacle, I mean at that point that hadn't been beaten, and maybe because we hadn't had one of those big upsets, you know against a team like an SC or a Washington, maybe that's why we ended up losing in the end. You never know.

But once you get past that first one, and you know, all of a sudden you fix the turnover deal, which we have now for the most part, then you start winning the games that you shouldn't and now you don't have to look back and say with us, yeah, okay, what do you got going? You got you're probably pretty busy now with the open enrollment. Yeah, it's crazy. They got like four or five people call me today like, oh, open enrollment. What everyone over the airways has

on Fox Sports fourteen fifteen. Hey, welcome back to Why on the Ball you know, Fox Sports fourteen fifty. I'm Steve, He's Jay. We got thirteen minutes, Got said with us to bear witness to another week of Friday's Fabulous five Friday Pick not so fab sometimes. See, I'm lacking confidence and my culture sucks right now. That's not a way to go in two

weekends. We've been talking about confidence and culture since Jed's press conference, and I have no confidence and my culture is just terrible, right, I'm okay with that. I'm okay with that. I'm down. Last week I did very well, went perfect perfect week. Yeah yeah, move me up into the standings. I like it. I like it. So let's you go first. You can give you the first option to go, all right, and we do. We both have to pick Alabama cle Alabama LSU against Alabama

minus three against LSU. So that's the pick of the week for us. So I'm gonna start with, Well, I just put this game on my board because the sid he did his homework and told me that Queen Yours is not starting to Texas. Maybe that explains why it's also bad because I saw this great point spread with Texas only giving four to Kansas and or Kansas State, and I thought that's an easy pick, and then I find out that

Queen Yours is out. So I took that one off the board and went to a game that I really did want to pick anyways, but ran out of ran out of picks to use on it. So I'm gonna take the Huskies. I'm gonna take Washington giving three at USC. I think USC is over and uh, Washington is just really good. I know, they haven't played well the last two weeks. But all think I do is win this game, you know, and it's a three point line. I think,

you know. I don't think they're gonna blow it here. I think they're on guard. They're gonna be up for this game. It's at USC and I think Washington kills them. Okay, I like it. I agree there, go see agrees. That doesn't mean a lot of the kids agreed with anything. They're in the dumpster too. All right, I'm gonna go with uh. I'm gonna go with my pros as I always do. First, I'm gonna go with Washington. The generals that they'll be the commanders of you.

The general, Yeah, the general, who the hell they are? I don't even need to know their name. I think I'm okay. They're getting points give from the England New England. Yeah, yeah, I think they're playing well enough to get the three or play the three straight up and beat them actually straight up? Wow? Okay, yeah, all right, Well I wouldn't put any money on either of this. No, this weekend's NFL schedules bad. This is bad. Oh, there's some good games,

but it's hard to pick games. Good games between bad teams. There're just no my good nuts. There's a couple well yeah, yeah, and there's no way I'm putting any that's the same right at ninth. Well, yes, there's thirty here all right. My next game, I'm going I'm gonna stay on a bandwagon, the anti Hawaii bandwagon, and I'm gonna take Nevada giving only three and a half really at home to Hawaii. Well, that's a good pick. I didn't see that pick. I didn't look at that

pick. But that's a good pick. Yeah, they did me. Well, I mean Samy State just beat the crap out of That's someone you got, right. Yeah, that's one of the two I got. I got two games right last week. I just can't. I can't get this our special and I can't get my lock. I've been terrible at those all season long. Other than that, I'm losing points. Other than that, Missus Lincoln, that was the place. I'm losing a point a week because of

that. So that's what's a score. Let's let the audience know the score. God do we have to all right? Do you know the score? It's I don't, I know, it's I know it's back drove please. Uh, Steve's got twenty nine. I've got no no yet, and I've got seven seven, So we're not even. We're barely at the halfway point of this one. But here's the deal. Steve's got twenty nine wins. Okay, twenty nine picks. You picked twenty nine out of out of forty

five, which is a really good percentage. Six. So you've got twenty nine wins and you've got twenty nine points. Right, I've picked fourteen games around, fourteen out of fourteen and thirty one. It's thirty one percent. It's awful. Or I got fourteen wins, but I've only got seven points because they keep losing the lock, the extra the games with the extra value. I'm two and sixteen combined on the on our lock and on our special game, right, And the thing is you have to pick it. You

have to hit those games. So yeah, all right, so anyway, okay, so all right, so I got a bad minus three and a half at home against Why Okay, no, it's okay, that's your second pick, right, Yeah, okay, I'm gonna go with my second pro. I'm gonna go Cleveland. I don't think I've ever picked these two teams in my life, Cleveland and Washington. Who they play Cards, Cardinals, Yeah, Cardinals toast. I think this is on the road to Yeah there.

The Browns are at home. Yeah, but they're getting they're giving eight. They've got a quarterback what nobody's ever heard of for the Cardinals. I just don't trust the Cardinals to not cover seven eight points. Okay, I don't I trust the I don't trust the Browns. It's like I don't know they're thanking you for that. Yeah, okay, all right, all right again Alice, Alabama's the last game or the special. So I'm moving on to the to the NFL. I'm taking this one. Then I'm locking the

Eagles giving three at home to the Cowboys. If the Eagles lose, you fault. It is the Cowboys in front of the Cowboys, and the games do not get up. They don't not get up for the games. So if they get up somehow, it's on me. Me. I like the Eagles. They hosted me a couple of weeks ago. Many times I'm trying to get that out of my brain. May terms, I've heard that it's on you, it's on you. She's all these games, the Gonzol strict. I've got I've got the Eagles. That's my lock at home against the

Cowboys. Okay, I'm gonna go to college. Now. I usually go all pro, but I but I really like certain games in the college level, which which makes no sense to me, but us like you're only taking too yet because I didn't like to schedule I did. I would have gone with the Dolphins big had it been in Miami, but it's not in Miami. It's in Case. And you know there's that there's that girl who sings whatever her name is, she'll be there and blah blah blah girl, that

Brittany. Okay, I'm gonna go. I'm gonna go. I'm gonna go with I picked them twice this year. New Mexico State. I picked him at the beginning of the year. They screwed me when they played the U mass and they lost, right, it was a U mess. Who's the Yeah, they lost and it was a good game, they just lost to them, and I said, oh God, what's up? And then they've been winning. So they play Middle Tennessee State at home. They've covered every

game since. I think every pretty close to it. So in New Mexico State a very good quarterback. Yeah yeah, that they have. Their coach is pretty good too. Used to be he had a heart attacker, he's something. He has health issues. Now they got him another winning on a game like one of those random ones. Dah yeah, which is they never do, but they do now. So New Mexico State, all right, they're they're giving not too many three yeah, three, all right, okay,

all right, got home? Interesting pick. All right, my other pro pick, I am taking lost Bengals. I feel like Joe Burrow and his boys have gotten their stuff together. I like that when I got off of it, but not because I just like other games. They're giving a point and a half to the Bills, so essentially they just got to win the game. They're at home, it's a Sunday night game. I feel

like the Bengals are kind of you know, they're coming in right. It didn't look good for the first one was hurt and all kinds of stuff like that. So yeah, yeah, I've got I got lost those Bengals. Okay, okay, going back to college, we got five minutes. I'm gonna go with the team that I haven't picked yet. I'm disappinted to haven't yet put Wyoming, Wyoming, who plays very well at home. They played Colorado State, and I'm still surprised that Colorado State hasn't played better since they

gave Colorado that a great game. Yeah, so I'm taking Wyoming. I don't know what, I can't remember what. The spread was six and a half and that's not a big number giving they're giving six and a half. Yeah, and that's my luck. And you're like, you like the Western Athletic Conference guy, man, so Wyoming plus that's my little black guys taking Mexico State Wyoming. Right, well, you're gonna have to pick a big

game here coming. Yeah, and I know, all right, okay, we might lose this game, bull of us because it might be a push. That's a three point line. Yeah, it's it's a scary. It's a scary thing. Everything in my brain. Oh no, please don't, says take the safe pick and take Alabama, because that's the safe pick. Giving three at home LSU, they're fired up, Alabama's been playing well,

and everybody in our pool is taking Alabama. So you know that I'm taking l s U. I think I think they're gonna score a bunch of points. The question is can they keep Alabama from scoring. Obama's not the same team I used to. Yeah, and I don't like the fact that it's at Alabama's. But I just feel like LSU is one of those teams that can just offensively, can can run you out. And so part of it is I'm taking this because I know everybody else is taking Alabama. Part of

it is because I think Alabama's gonna win this game. So therefore I'm going opposite of what I think. Welcome to the stuff that's in Jay's We could speak two hours to this, but we only have a three minutes. All Right, what are you doing? I am going with Alabama because they're at home, and for the only reason they're at home, and it's a big game. Obviously they need to win to keep some kind of hope for a beginning, you know, to playoffs. In the playoffs, LSHU is already

lost. They lost big earlier this year, they lost Florida State. Still, they can still get into the uh into the into the SEC Championship. So I'm taking BAM. I'm taking Bama. I'm glad you went the other way, although you know I'm not worried about you anymore. You're not one word to stay at the top. I'm not worried about you either. That's fine. That was gonna be somebody. I don't even like you that much anymore. We did the root for that for both of us yesterday. We

all have that one guy. In fact, a friend of mine from back Cope was listening to the sources, Steve, you're my guy. You know that. They they put up with you because they put up on you. They love you anyway, you know. But he's my best friend. So I toltally get it. There's part of a lot more guys like that out there, all right. So, uh, Herry, here's the here of the games. I've got Washington the Huskies giving three at USC. I've got

Nevada giving three and a half at home against Hawaii. I've taken l s U. Man, I don't know why. I don't know why, but I shouldn't. But I'm gonna. We just heard the explanation. I shouldn't, but I'm gonna. I'm gonna take l SU getting three against against Alabama. I've got I've locked up on the Eagles giving three to the Cowboys, the Eagles at home, Bengs at home giving one and a half to the

Bills. Steve's going to New Mexico State against Middle Tennessee a game that probably isn't even on TV anywhere, giving three Wyoming against Colorado State and an old Western Athletic Conference matchup. When I'm giving six and a half, he's taking Alabama opposite of me in in our special. And then you've got the Browns giving eight to the Cardinals and the Commander's getting three from the Patriots. SE's way up there in the standings in our pool. So good luck to you,

Steve. Yeah, thank you. Go stay up there now once you get to taste you got a ten. Screw it up now. I mean, I'm I'm so far under I'm not even gonna you know. It's like I just want to get my nose above water and get some air. That's all, all right. So it was a fun week. Thanks for Scooby, right, thank you Jake Fisher for showing up today. This was fun.

Yeah, it was a good, good week. But you said, okay, Steve, Ucla Arizona give us a you shaw, there's only you, Saill I picked you shall earlier without you know whatever, twenty four, twenty twenty seven, twenty four twenty seven, same scores last week, but yeah, yeah, yeah, I'm I'm I'm going a similar score points, something like a twenty four to twenty one. What's the spot twenty four? The line is three, go to moved up to three two and a half.

I take it back alp and then what the over under? Uh oh? The line is three and it was fifty. So I'm looking right at the number of both numbers. I'm gonna take Arizona and the under I'm gonna take Arizona. I'm gonna I'm gonna go twenty one, twenty okay, twenty one, twenty all right, it's it. I'm gonna go Arizona, twenty four twenty one. All right, man, there you go. Okay, all right, hey everybody, thanks for being here all week. We appreciate

it. We'll see you on Monday. We'll break it down talk about the UFA basketball home openers. So see you on Monday. M
