This is I on the Ball with Steve Rivera and Jay Gonzalez on Fox Sports fourteen fifty. Subscribe now to the podcast on the iHeart Radio while just surgeon I on the Ball. Welcome back on the ball here on Fox Sports fourteen fifteen. I'm your host for the day, Jay Gonzalez. My buddy Steve is out for today and Monday. Us. He hit the road to go play some horses up in Vegas. That sounds like fun rights. Does not sound like Steve at all. Did he invite you? No? Maybe I

just did he invite you? No? I mean he might have invited me. I just don't want to tell you to be I appreciate that, you know. I don't need those kinds of things making me feel bad. It's a Friday. I wanted to go into the weekend kind of relax. I got a Sugar Skulls game tomorrow night, we got we got the Kentucky Derby. You know, I'm just, you know, just looking forward to a nice relaxing weekend. So all right, uh, we're ready for breaking news

from Noah. This is on the Balls on Fox Sports fourteen fifty. So I want to keep this at Arizona stuff um. The Indianapolis Colts have released Super Bowl MVP quarterback Nick Foles after one season. They drafted Anthony Richson, who I think could be like a superstar like h I think he's really good. He's his arm talent, like besides accuracy, he could basically make any pass as long as he just like improves improves like his well he's got.

I mean, he hasn't had enough games for I mean, that's the knock on him right now. He hasn't played enough games to really know. When I've heard it's like I've heard he's like Cam Newton plus Okay, Like it's it's just yeah. Well and then you know, well, going into the draft, a lot of people thought that Will Levis would be drafted at the

spot that Anthony Richardson, that the cults are gonna take Will Levis. But you know, then when Anthony Richardson got drafted, it was like the unmistakable physical talent that Anthony Richardson has is so overwhelming that they're willing to overlook the fact that he's played like what fifteen college games or something like that. But but like look at like just just his his his arm strength is off the chart, right. He I saw a video the other day. He's just

like say, like this sixty five yards downfield. Yeah, no movement. No, It's like that's that's a lot to work, right, that could be great, right, And look, Nick Foles has been around a while, He's got his super Bowl, He's made a ton of money. Yeah, he's um, you know, I I don't know, you could see him stepping in being a quarterbacks coach or something like that. Smart guy, Um, you know, very thoughtful guy. Made a great career out of you know, uh, mostly a backup. But he got his super Bowl,

super Bowl MVP. Um, he's had a nice career. If this is the end of it, then uh, you know, I think he's had a nice one. Maybe he gets on somewhere somebody's you know, third quarterback or something like that, emergency quarterback whatever. But good for Nick Foles. Great career for him. And uh, I know, Arizona you've a I'm very proud of the having a quarterback that actually they can talk about exactly actually done something, which is kind of like you know, like because of

an injury. But it's it's great. So many of Arizona's top well known players are on defense. You know, see the Hall of Fame guys, all defensive guys. Um. Very few guys on the offensive side of the ball that have made a name for themselves beyond being good college good college players, exactly good for Nick Foles, exactly all right, Justin Fields has made quote big strides as a passer during the offseason, says Bears head coach.

Which I think that's gonna happen normally. Of course is biased, right from what I've what I've what I've seen from when he actually plays, like especially like when he was at OHU State. It's like he can run, you can do all those things, but it's like if his passing game is on point, like he's a really good This is his third year, his fourth year, third year, right, I mean, it's hard for an NFL quarterback to be really good in his first two years. It's such a hard

I mean, could be more. Probably is the hardest position to play in sports, right, an NFL quarterback, Right, you guys need time to be good at it. You know, I'm not. You know, not everybody can be you know, Peyton Manning or right out of the box, but even Peyton Manning struggled his first couple of years. It takes a while exactly. It's like even even you know, like mahomes yes versus a starter.

But that's like that's like once in a generation theme. So yeah, Okay, Javonte Davis, who is a you know, the boxer, gets ninety days house arrest and probation for twenty and twenty hit in n case it gets what gets ninety days probation? Okay, house or house arrest and probation. So all right, that'll be I'm sure that that'll get wiped over, okay. Um. Oh yes, So the Yankees rendon to get shot for quote chronic back issue. Oh, it would be bad. I mean,

he's a big money dude. Oh wait, no, not wrote it, wrote it? Oh okay, all right, so that's kind like sis the basketball games tonight, right, So well, I talked about the top of the show. Arizona Tennis men's tennis did win their match with Boise State. They shut him out for zep um. Mike I said this first one to four, so Arizona. The four matches that finished were Arizona one. They

were leading, uh in two others and we're losing. We're tied in the third set in one, but it's a four nothing win over Boise State. So go on tomorrow and I believe that's at one o'clock at at at the Tennis Center at the UFA. If you can get out, there should be a lot of fun Arizona trying to advance to the second round or the third round of the NCAA NC Double A Men's tennis tournament. Um. Yeah, I've got a couple of thing. Well. First of all, Arizona baseballs

at home this weekend in a non conference series. They got air Force it's also Military appreciated weekend. So if you get a chance to get out there and catch Arizona in a you know, trying to gather itself in a weekend series. Um, here's one. The NCAA Rules Committee is trying to push a change in the rules. It's gonna make it harder to draw a charge. Now. If you know, if you've watched any basketball for any amount of time, you lose your mind on the charging calls. I think that's

a good thing. You just don't know what's a charging call to one ref, it's one thing. To another ref, it's another thing. I think charges one, But I do think that the rules have always favored the attacker, like the person offense. Just think about It's like how many times it's like you have the ball, it's like, okay, just go, everyone's like driving get to the free throw line. Like it's basically become a given that you like will and can get out old if you actually put the effort.

You don't know how to do it well. But one of the things that and and this is what this is what the tweak to the rule is going to do Those times when a guy goes up and then a guy gets in gets in his landing area, and that's often called to charge because you know, you get there, but you beat team to the spot, guy comes down lands on you, they call the charge. What they're saying is that you have to be in that spot before before the guy goes up.

Yeah, before the guy leaves his feet. I think, yeah, so I'll make it easier to call it will be. But at the same time, it's like that's another thing that makes it easier for offensive players in basketball to drop outs. Like it's like, like I was saying, you, everyone's like drive to the basket, you get to the free throw line. It's like that's basically becoming given because it's like you're going to get vouling. Now, it's like you're gonna have to defend it differently, and it's different

now. It's like there's another way for whoever has the ball is driving to have a you know, yeah, yep, yep, yep, yep. So um, that's okay. That was another one. Let's see I had a couple of others. Oh, we're gonna talk about this on the on the on the back side, after we have Jake Fisher. Uh, Fisher is going to join us for as our guest in the next segment, talk about all this Dolora stuff. Talk about Brandon I can't think of his last

name now, Jayden Bradley the basketball player. But the win totals are out for college football, Fron DraftKings. But Neaton for that one, heaving waiting for that. We're gonna keep you in suspense for a little bit on that. A couple of NBA games tonight. You got the Celtics in the seventy six serves. The Celtics are no said, the Celtics are favorite. Yeah, Celtics are favored by two and a half. The minus one forty on the money line. So Sixers are getting two and a half at home.

That game starts at about ten minutes to five, so just a little bit before we shut down the show. And then the Suns backs not backs up against the wall. But they got a win tonight. They can't go down three nothing. Obviously, they're at home against and they're favorite against the Nuggets.

Giving up four and the minus one eighty on the money line. Nice, I'm glad they're you know, gonna gonna win this game and allow Denver to actually close the series out Game five at home, because if I was a Dever fan, I'd rather see them, Like, yeah, you'd want them to sweep like the home taking the two home teams. Taking money line bets on the two homes teams tonight gets you plus two forty two on a two team parlay. It's not bad. That's not bad thinking about doing that.

But that means the Suns would have to win. I don't just think about it. It's like the odds that the Sixers win is one thing. The odds of the Suns win. I think the odds that they both they're both like upsets, you know, like it's like, well, we'll see I mean there's a Chrisaul. So yeah, there's still no Chris Paul. So I don't know, we'll see you on that one. I personally wouldn't, but like it's okay, or if you do that, I'll do the

opposite. Arizona Softball starts the PAC twelve series tonight with Cal. UH. They're at home against Cal. They pretty much have to sweep the series to UH to move up and not have to be in the play in game UH in the PAC twelve Women's in the PAC twelve Softball tournament, So they don't want to have to be you know, have a playing game and then have to play the number one seed UCLA UH in the first in the next round. So, I mean, whoever they play at the top of the standings

is gonna be hard, but you certainly want to avoid. UCLA's ranked number two in the country. They're twenty one and three in the conference. Not not where you want to be. Here's an interesting one. Noel Mazone, the former offensive coordinator at Arizona under Kevin Sumlin, who people widely blame for wrecking UH Coliltate's football career. He's going to be an offensive coordinator part time offensive coordinator for two high school football teams in the Phoenix area. He's going

to kind of like alternate between which which m Chaparral and Higgley. That's yeah, I know where both of those are there. They're both like there's like North Scott Sale. So like I'm sure he'll he'll he'll find this. It'll work. It's just like how does that work? But it's like you'll see at two high schools, schools we're probably gonna be playing each other too.

How's that gonna happens? Just gonna go back and be like, all right, okay, the first half I go here, second half I go yeah, or like every every time a team's on offense and switches, all right, I'm gonna help. You know, Like what I don't understand, what is the schools will let that happen? Is he is he telling well, he's got to be telling each of the schools that he's they're the only school you know. It's like saying like, oh, you're the only girl I'm

talking right. This was reported by by by Football Scoop, who covers high school sports I think all over the country. It says no details were available on how exactly that is going to work, But it's absolutely sounds like something someone needs to pick up in documentary. It's like, how do you allow that as one of these I was gonna say and in if you're player, You're like, Okay, are you coaching us today? Are you coaching them today? You know, oh so so so our offensive coordinator is not a

practice today, but he'll be here tomorrow and day after tomorrow. I mean, how how does that want to see? The school has got to have a different offensive coordinator who's like there full time right, Like it's like because if not, then I could see why he could be like a sixteen s. But it's like if he is the offensive coordinator for two schools and that is all they have, then that is not going to work. Like that is not like eight. That's not gonna work like b He's gonna be stressed

out and see everyone's gonna hate him. Like it's like it's like it's it's it's gonna be very hard unless he like makes the schools have like completely different practice times, but football it's like you have your time. It's kind of what everyone is like, Yeah practice late at night? Yeah, um got a couple minutes. Uh, Pema Baseball is in the U is in the

U first round of it's a region champion region tournament. UH that you're currently going to the bottom of the seventh with a five three lead over South Mountain. They won yesterday. So if they win this game today, they win the series and move on to the next round. UH. In the in the region tournaments, they're right there. Just gotta get three outs in the in the seventh inning and they and they'll move on. So good for them. All right, UM, I think that's about all we have. So

let's let's go ahead and take our break. We'll get Jake Fisher on the phone. We'll talk to him again. I want to get a you know, a player's perspective on this thing with with Jaden Delores, see what he thinks about it, um. And then I know he was very supportive of the Jaden Bradley recruiting recruitment to Arizona. UH, So he might have less to to to say about that, but he's you know, Jake's always got uh an opinion and we love getting it from him. So we'll be right

back with Jake Fisher. They have their eye on the ball on Tucson Sports Station five Sports fourteen fifteen. Yeah, Jake, we had to we had to get on the air. So we're on the air now, so I'm let me finish, let me finish going over this week. She sued them for you know, for the sexual assault and so so they set the lawsuit, both of them,

so they've got, you know whatever, all the things done. He didn't serve any time. I don't know if he's put on probation for the remainder of his time as a as a juvenile. But it's said the criminal part of it is settled as as a juvenile, the silver part is settled. Now. The question is it's just come to light to the u AD that Jake de Laura has this sexual assault in his past. So the question is what do you do. Let me read you the statement that the u A

issued today. This all hit yesterday because a newspaper in Hawaii found out about the settlement of the lawsuit and did a story about it. So that's why this has just not hit the media months after this thing was settled. Settlement statement says in the fall of twenty twenty two, after a civil complaint was filed against football student athlete Jade Delora, the University of Arizona first became aware of a twenty eighteen incident involving de Laura, which occurred while he was in

high school in Hawaii. After reviewing the matter, the determination was made to allow de Laura to continue as a student athlete and his status remains unchanged. So that's it. That's what we know from the u A Wisconsin, which is where the other kid is at, basically issued the same statement yesterday. So that's where we are. So the UVA has said, as of now, his datas remains unchanged. But you know, every you know, you've got people across the board. You got people who say he should be kicked

off the team. You got something who say he should be suspended. He got some who say this has all been settled, it was a juvenile matter, it's done. Move on, It's all over the board. Um, I don't even know where I said. From my point of view, when it comes down to this stuff, if it was settled, it doesn't necessarily mean that he was guilty, right, No, I mean he pleaded guilt, could have been down to sorry. He pleaded guilty to sexual assault as

a juvenile. Okay, he did plead guilty to the crime. Okay, if Blay guilty to the crime. So he was, you know, an idiot, yes, sixteen and he made a stupid decision. Yes, okay, So first I'm hearing about it. I don't know anything about the situation. All I know is that obviously you shouldn't do that crap. I don't care if you're sixteen, It does not matter, None of that changes. Yeah, shouldn't on it, you know. And to be honest with you,

I don't know what to think about in the whole situation. But it was when he was a juvenile, you know, obviously didn't serve any time. Uh, you know, they they settled everything, and I just think that, uh, I mean, a sixteen year old to try to, you know, kick him off the team for something that he did. I know, it was disgusting, it was stupid, But you can't kick a

kid off the team for that, I don't think. Yeah, this was long ago, you know, and and uh, you know, I gotta I gotta comment from a former juvenile court judge, a friend of mine, who basically who said that, well, there are two points that he made. One was that, you know, when things are handled the juvenile court, it's because you know, juvenile court is about second chances, it's about you know, atoning for stuff. It's about keeping these things anonymous so they

don't traill you your entire life. On the other on the other hand, he pointed out because he was a juvenile court judge here in Arizona. On the other end, he said, at sixteen, for this crime in Arizona, he probably would have been tried and were handled as an adult, which that would have been a whole different His life would have probably been ruined.

Yeah, well, and look, let's say it again. The girl's right life is a you know, is screwed up because of this too, So you know, she's a victim, and you can't you can't ignore that. But Jaden de Laura would have had probably an adult rape conviction on his record, and he probably wouldn't be the quarterback at Arizona. Very true. I honestly, I when it comes to these legal matters, I am so just not well versed on the whole situation, and I would rather not lean one

way or another. I'm just gonna tell everybody that's listening, don't do that dumb cry. I shouldn't laugh. But that's I mean, that's sort of a bottom line. Well, let me ask you, though you know plenty you your five years at Arizona, there had to be guys who got in trouble for whatever things that they got in trouble. How did teammates treat those guys? Like? Are you just a dumb ask? You know? I

mean, what did you say to them? What did you do? I don't know if anything serious like this happened when you during your time on the football team, what do you recollections do you have of any of that? Well, I'll tell you this, there have been allegations of certain things, and there have been people that have got, you know, kicked off the team for you know, brandishing a firearm or something like that. I'm pretty

sure you know what I'm talking about. There have been allegations of other things. All I will tell you is it always got down to where was there enough evidence to kick the kid off the team. And then every single time that the kid didn't get kicked off the team for something that they were, you know, alleged in doing, it came out later that the person that

was alleging it was not being truthful. So, you know, if you kick a kid off the team and they're off the team for a couple of years and then all of a sudden it comes up that that didn't happen, you just ruined the guy's career, right, So you have to have hard evidence. And that's the only reason I say that is because there was somebody that was there, not going to give out any names, who basically lost his potential and I felt a career to something like that, and then it

came out later that the gal was lying never happened. Yeah, you know the thing that and I'll you know, get to what my parents used to tell me. They just say, don't do anything stupid, but also don't be in a position where something stupid can happen, that can stick to you, that can stick to you. And that's sort of what I you know, what I said to my kids, right, you know, don't get

caught in a bad in a bad position. And sometimes that's what it is too, you know, the whole wrong place, wrong time thing, which you know, I know Nick Saban came out and said, there's no such thing. Well, there is such a thing. You could just be standing there, innocent guy, and something happened over there, but you were there, the cops show up and boom, you're in trouble. Things like that do happen. But I was always told, don't be a dumbassing a cot

in a situation like that. Absolutely for everybody that's listening. Just don't yourself in a stupid situation like that and everything will be fine for you. Yeah, yeah, all right, So yeah, do you know, do things like this or do you think something like this will just have a hangover on the on the team, on the season, on Dolora, you know, it'll it'll get brought up in uh, you know when they're on on ESPN on a game or whatever. You know, as an athlete, what what

do you feel? What do you think about stuff like that just kind of you know, hanging on to you, you know, for however long. Well I'll tell you this. As soon as the coaching staff found out they probably had him kind of talk to his teammates and tell him exactly what's going on. So they've probably know him for a little bit of time obviously, But when something like this happens, I mean, you really have to you

really have to bond as a team. I mean, shoot, like this was however long ago, and I believe the second chances obviously is a bone headed thing from to do. But I don't think it's gonna negatively affect these guys, you know, college I negatively affected if he does have a good enough you know, uh, career year at the U of A to go to the next level. Who knows. But I mean just to have that kind of thing sitting in the back of your mind. You know, I've

never had to deal with it, so I couldn't tell you. Yeah, all right, now we had to say a little less of a serious situation, but still, you know, a controversial thing. And I know you went on, you went on social media. You were happy that Arizona got Jaden Bradley, but he was at the scene of that murder in in Alabama. You know, is that something that should be mentioned when you're talking about

Jaden Bradley going forward? Well going forward. If he had any hand in what happened, then absolutely he needs to you know, he deserves consequences. However, from a purely you know, a basketball standpoint, I didn't think we were going to get this deep today, Jake. But from a basketball standpoint, I'd love to fit. I think him and Kylan Boswell are both

great defenders. You know, they both can pass. Uh. You know, Kyland can play a little bit, you know, as a combo guard, and he can come off some screens because he's a better outside shooter. But I mean with him, you've got four of your five starters on lock, and you have two bench guys all ready to go. And you know, from here on out, as long as you can get you know, an athletic four maybe that can stretch the floor. I know those don't grow

on trees, but that would be a perfect fit in my opinion. You get another combo guard, maybe someone that can shoot, and then another athletic wing that can back up fella. You know, I think you have a much better outlook for the season than he did last year. They've upgraded pretty much at every position, obviously losing uh, you know, the power forward a Zowista ballast is going to hurt. But I mean, essentially, you've got you've approved, You've improved four of the five spots. You've got guys

coming back that are just going to improve. And then you know, I would take a kind of Boswell Jaden Bradley over what we had last year any day of the week. So in my opinion, I think we're going to be better overall. We're not gonna have a twenty point scorer, but you're going to have kind of a group of guys that can put the ball and

you know in the basket. Well, let me ask you about that about the you know that Bradley's a point guard, and you know, when when they didn't get that nam hard guy from from Gonzaga that went to Gonzaga out of Crayton, a lot of discussion, why is Aaron Litten going after another point guard? And now that you know they did get another point guard, but you know, I mean, are there issues with that? I mean, don't look, let's think about you know, a couple of Luke's best

teams had a specific shooting guard. Uh you know, uh um uh that Stott him, I can't think of his first name. I want to say, damon side Ribbert was and uh so silly, but you know they had you know, there was a there was a clear one one and a clear two. Now you got a couple of guys who you know, could be one, could be a two. Is that good? Is that bad? Is good? What Tommy runs? I mean, what do you think of

that? Yeah? This is what I'll say with that. Um, you know he ran it obviously a Gonzaga and for a couple of their better teams, they were running two different point guards. And when you're recruiting a kid like Hyland, you're gonna be upfront and honest with them saying I'm gonna eventually

get you to be playing against you know, with another point guard. The good thing is, I think Bradley might be a little bit more of a facilitator, where as Boswell, it might kind of unlock him to be able to, you know, make more shots and be a little bit more aggressive

on offense. But this is kind of an insurance policy this kid is essentially, if Colin Boswell blows up this year, like a lot of people think he might, you're gonna have another point guard coming back, and then you're gonna have all of those young kids coming in, and you're gonna basically be set for a couple more years, or if Bobswell doesn't take the leaves that

we think he might. Now you have both of these guys back again the year after playing with each other, it's gonna be you know, they're gonna be a cohesive unit. It's like, I mean, imagine those two along with Pela on the perimeter guarding Like that's a hell of a defensive unit already. So I think it just I think it makes sense, you know when you I mean, remember there were games last year. Remember the UCLA game at home when we almost gave up a ten point lead in like thirty seconds.

You can't get the ball past half court, right Like, when you have two point guards that can actually handle the ball, you're not gonna have to have Pella, you know, trying to dribble. And I don't think that's necessarily his strong suit. So I liked the move, And once again, I don't think it's gonna, you know, negatively impact Kylan because when he was getting recruited and during the you know, the offseason, coach Lloyd probably told him, hey, we want you and another point guard to play.

Yeah, so so you just went through, you know, a bunch of stuff. You're feeling pretty good now about where they are. And I know you were one of the people who were saying to these people were saying Tommy was losing it or whatever to just shut the hell up. But you know, overall, you feel pretty good about where what Timmy's done so far. I think he's proven to us, you know, be on the Show of a doubt that he knows how to recruit. I mean, he landed

a top five guy in Carter Bryant. Jamari Phillips is looking like a hell

of a pickup. I mean, he averaged like twenty eight points over the weekend at the eybl So all these guys that think that he can't recruit, you have to remember that the system also recruits, so you don't have to be a big time sales and all you got to do is throw on the tape for some of these guys that are you know, gonna not hear what they want from the NBA scouts and they might not want to go back to where they were, so they you know, they dropped out and they're like

okay, looking you know, for a good place. How am I gonna, you know, show people that I am League ready. Well, hey, you have a great school down here in the desert that runs a really fun, up paced offense. As long as you try your butt off on defense and you can fit in and you know how to pass the ball, you got a spot here. So I think he's been waiting for that the entire time. I think he had some assurances with a couple of people.

You know, one of them obviously fell through, this one didn't. And I think that there's going to be a couple of people where if they hear what they don't want to hear, and they want to come back to college and they want to go, you know, potentially compete for championships, they're going to look at Arizona. So if we get a couple of those guys that can kind of get us to, you know, the next year where you know, all of a sudden you have those five star kids that Tommy

It apparently can't recruit coming in, We're gonna be just fine. Yeah. I don't know if we've ever asked you this. If if the transfer portal was around when you were playing, do you think you might have gone somewhere else. No, I was starting as a sophomore. Yeah, I know, we've seen we've seen starters go other places. Yeah, we've seen starters go other places. And maybe it's because of NIL and it's different. But you feel like you would have stuck around. Yeah, I would have stuck

around. It would have been nice at NIL when I was here, so I could have made money on the jerseys they sold up the games. But you know that's okay, okay, let me let me put you again another another What if let me put you in uh, what's his name? Dorian

Singer spot? If you were at Arizona, you were, you know, maybe you're getting some NIL money, you know, ten thousand and twenty thousand dollars in usc came and said, hey, we'll give you a one hundred thousand dollars to come and play for us and your Tucson kid playing in Arizona. Do you leave? Well, if it was in today's there, obviously i'd have an agent that would go back the Arizona and say, hey, this is what they're offering. To be honest with you, I have no

idea. I loved Tucsons. I like being close to home. I like being close to all the friends and everything like that, and to me, that's just a little bit more. It just means a little bit more, right, right, Okay, I like that. I mean, you know what what, I guess one of the things that bothers me. And like with with Dorian Singer, right, I really was kind of like, okay, after the fact, we you know, there was a story in the La Times about him when he got here. His intent was always to get

good enough to go somewhere else, So that was the plan. And it's almost in a way like I was pissed when he first left, but then I got I read that, I thought, okay, you know, he's he's trying to make make him, you know, get a better opportunity wherever, whereever he winds up. And I pretty much respected that, you know, I of course I wanted him to come here and be a wildcat and

love being a wildcat and bleed the red and blue. But some man, these guys who do come from other places, they come here for the opportunity, and you got a better opportunity and went and took that. So I almost kind of was okay with that, but you know, still kind of like don't go somewhere within the league. That's the part that bothers me a

little bit. Yeah, and if it would have been a different era, like if we would have been in year five or six of Jet Fish instead of you know, he was here a year one and two where we were bad and then we were really good on offense, but we weren't great on defense, and we didn't get to a ball game, like if it was like, you know, you're a getting between eight and ten wins a year.

Who knows, you know, there might be some boosters that are willing to throw a little bit more money, you know, at some players on the team, and he may have stayed. But the fact is, I think he would have been the third best receiver on the team and that extra spot now that he is vacated, I think that we have so many good young players that they're going to step in nicely and they're gonna be fine.

Should be fine, All right, Jake, that went fast. Sorry got so deep on you today, but I appreciate your comments on everything and being a good support about all that. Yeah, Fox Sports fourteen fifty streaming live. I mean I heard radio

warm Welcome back on the balling of Fox Sports fourteen fifty. I'm your host for the day, Jagons allays. My partner Steve Rivera is in Vegas. He went over there to uh bet some horse racing for tomorrow the Kentucky Derby, and uh he'll be back on Tuesday. He's gonna take Monday off as well. So I'm here with Noah, who's been keeping me company and doing a great job of it. We had a couple of good guests. Noahs in the in the throws of finals at the UFA. So he's yawning a

lot, says he's got to get home and go to bed. I'm saying you got to study. Uh, you gotta help me out with that, Noah. Yeah. A lot, Yeah, a lot to get through, but you gotta get through it. Um. I wanted to update you real quick. I forgot when Pima baseball tuning college baseball. When they play two games double headers, they play seven Indians. They're not playing double headers. So this game is going nine innings. They're in the bottom of the eighth.

They still need five to four against South Mountain. If they win the game, they win the series and move on to the next round in the in the Region tournament up there at South Mountain College right now again, up five to four, bottom of the eighth inning. Um, all right, so noah, the the win totals got posted for college football got posted by DraftKings today. Um, a couple of you know, some of the national ones. Alabama, and this is regular season win totals, so it doesn't

come bolt games or anything like that. Alabama is a ten and a half, so they think, you know, they get to actually think that's a pretty good bet. Um, you know, taking the over there looking for Georgia. Georgia is at eleven and a half, so basically they've got to go and defeated in the regular season for you to hit that one. Michigan in is at ten and a half as well, and Ohio State is at ten and a half. So all those teams I gotta win eleven eleven games

or more. In the Pac twelve here's where here's the Rundown USC nine and a half, Oregon nine and a half, Washington nine. See, you gotta get to the half. You gotta get a team with a half, right, because so maybe Washingtons got to win ten games, just like Oregon and USC do. So I don't know why that's nine not nine and a half or whatever, Utah eight and a half, Ucla eight and a half, Oregon State eight. That's a lot. You're talking about Oregan State having

to win nine games. Weren't they well, weren't they really good? As they were really good yes year in Arizona's got to play him this year. Washington State at six and a half, there's I mean, every team can't win over six games. I don't I don't understand. I know, it's just well they can because they've got their nonconference. They have to out Arizona five and a half. That's right exactly where Steve and I have been saying it was gonna land five and a half if they So, if you win

this bet, Arizona is going to a bowl game exactly. If you like that number, I do. I mean, I think, like, if anything, they have more of a chance to disappoint than they have to like exceed expectations. But it's like I would say that they probably win six or seven games, they got leave like they're like, dude, you know, it's like, I wouldn't be surprised they win five. They're gonna have to win some games. You don't expect them to win though. That's what's gonna

happen. And when you look at the schedule, there aren't six games that you can pick out and say whin, whin win When there's maybe two, right, you know, Nau and Utah and then everything else, and everything else can go either way. That's a lot. It could be a lot of losses. Yeah. I mean the ACU game is up in Temp this year, so that's a tougher game than than it was and they had a

hard enough time winning that game down here last year. They don't get Cal, uh and they don't get well, they don't have to play Oregon either, so um, you know, there there you go. As US at five. So they've also got to win six games to win the bet. Now, these can fluctuate over the course of the as as we get closer, depend on how people bet. Cal is four and a half, which I think is high. I think they're gonna win like two games, I really do, because you know, uh, that's just not very much.

Colorado is at three, which I think is about right. I think there's a lot of people. Somebody's got Colorado ranked in their top twenty five. I just think there was all the turmoil going on over there be at least one year, it's gonna it's gonna be hard for them to win even a couple of games, right with just so much going on, New players, guys leaving, guys feeling crappy about the team, Dion, a new coach, the whole bit. Hey, let's take this call higher on the ar

and on the all m Nico, what's up? Hey man? Just celebrating? Think you are? How hard are you celebrating it? Drink and drinking? Hey man, you know, I gotta, I gotta. I got to the key lab Nico. It's not even five in the afternoon. What are you doing? How okay? How long have you had it out? I broke that when the show started. Okay, well they all right, Well, then that's good. I appreciate that. I appreciate the fact that we drive you to drink, so that means that warms my heart quite a

bit. Hey man, I got the barbeque going, It'll be all right, Okay, all right, Hey, what I wanted to talk about JD. Okay, go ahead, tell tell me what you think. I think A Z's in a lose lose situation. Okay, they could suspend him and say they suspend him for three games. They wouldn't be enough people, right, and people would be mad if you did suspend him. So I don't

know. Yeah, you're right, I mean that, And that's I think that's sort of where we were yesterday, and that no matter what Arizona does, there's gonna be and we and we had it in callers, no matter what Arizona does, people, somebody's gonna be really upset. We had a guy who called and said, it's done, leave them alone, don't do anything. And I'm a season ticket holder, and so I hope they don't do anything. And another guy who called and said, I'm a season ticket

holder. If James Delawares on the team, I'm not a season ticket holder anymore. I heard James. I heard it. Yeah, so you know, you know, it's like, yeah, I mean, there are You're you're right. They are in a lose lose situation because whatever they do, somebody's gonna be pissed. A man p even need to be mad at the Hawaii court the field records. So yeah, yeah, yeah, So when you get a new job, you gotta pull out the background. Jake,

you do, you do? And uh, that's that's kind of been the discussion today is like okay, Arizona saying they didn't know about it until last fall when the suit got filed. Now they know about it, but they say, Okay, it's done, We're moving on. That's all you can do. But people are going to be upset. I'll tell you that. Yeah, I know, and I know I know some of them who are, but also know some who are not. They're gonna say, okay, it's done. Let's move on. Let him play quarterback exactly. Man.

But hey, I wouldn't be mad scene. We'll see you the back there. Yeah. Well, and there's there is that. You know. I was wondering if that was gonna if that would have any kind of bearing on a decision, And they said, you know what, we should do something. We think it's right if we do this, and we'd still be you know, would still be okay because we still got a pretty good quarterback. Yeah. Hey, well you guys have a good day, man, all right, man, you too, be careful tonight, Okay, don't go

crazy. I ain't driving nowhere. I'll be all right. It sounds great. Thanks for calling, Nico. Always always, always enjoying the holidays. Man, always enjoying the holidays every day. Yeah, all right, we were talking Colorado minus three and then at the bottom Stanford minus two and a half. Okay, let's take this call. All right, you're on the r on the ball. Yeah, appreciate the show. I think that the Laura's gotta go. What's right is right, and it doesn't matter if people

don't like it. What message does that send to the younger generation. I have a nine year old great nephew who the Laura is a favorite player. But if the guy can sextually assault to go in high school and she's still a victim in this, I don't care if they did a whatever civil settlement or whatever. It's the guy's gotta go. I'm sorry, this is gonna lose a lot of credibility. I think it gained a lot of credibility if we you know, we still have a beta, and I guess there's a

really good freshman quarterback. Nobody's above the law, and let the Laura stay here and glorify him. Um, it's wrong. And if he does, say I hope the team, I hope he falls on his face, and you know, the guy's got to go. In my opinion, there's one right thing to do in that picket of okay. I mean, you know, I respect that because you know that that's certainly is and you made a

good point. There's still a victim out there of all of this, and you know her she has to be considered first in every bit of this. So I I mean, I you know, there's a I mean, that's a strong opinion, and I think it's a it's a worthy opinion. I'm still not sure where I fall on it. I agree with this because it's like the message is so it's such a big deal, the message that you

said. If that happens, and like everyone knows it happens, and then you you just kind of say, Okay, this guy can still get all the success that he wants to get. It like that's I don't know if that's that's not a good thing. Yeah, it's I hear you, I really do hear you. I've been all over the board on this and I'm my head is spinning because of it. So but I do I appreciate your opinion. What's your name, Robert, Robert, Thank you Robert for calling.

I appreciate the opinion, and we'll keep talking about it. I'm sure this is this is not going to go away over the course of this summer, so I'm sure there'll be more conversation. Thanks a bunch, Thank you guys. Have a happy single mine on a good weekend. We're working on it. Thank you very much, you too. No, I'm you know what He's not wrong, right, It's it's not wrong to say he should not be on the team. He speaks for a lot of people, he

does. But it's also maybe not wrong to say this. God, you know, the way the court has handled it should be the way it gets handled. It would handle it at the juvenile court level. Move on. If there just should be like one main thing that comes out that kind of explains the whole thing, because it's like if you can kind of get that, you know, sent stone like laid out exactly what happened, it would

be a lot easier to have a lot of people agree on it. Right now, let me just let me just say this, and this goes back to you know, what was said to me by our juvenile court judge, a friend, and maybe the right thing to do, we still don't know

that yet. And the reason I'm saying that is if Jaden Delora goes out and does something like this again, right, or something similar to it, or gets in trouble again in some way, shape or form, then the right thing to do would have been to kick him off the team right now.

But we don't know that right now. Whereas let's say he goes out and he uses a platform to become an advocate for for you know, victims' rights and does things publicly to help the cause right, right, and and and so you know, handles this in a way that you go, Okay, I feel like he learned a lesson, he's doing all the right things, he's really remorseful for it. Then maybe the right decision right now is to not kick him off, but we don't we don't know that either.

It's like, do you think he's gonna do that? I think I think all we're gonna see is like a message from him just saying like whatever, like, you know, I've had some stuff, right, And if it's some message that was written by you know, somebody in the lawyer's office over there. That's not good enough, you know, Jane Delran. Maybe I don't know what I would what to me counts as good enough to not excuse him for this, but accept that it happened and say, okay, you

can move on. I don't know what's good enough yet, and so it may be that we don't know yet what's the right thing to do. Let's take this real quick. Hi, you're on darn on the ball. You have about thirty seconds. Yeah, this is James again. Hey, James, Yeah, I just want to touch base on the quarterback scenario. Make it quick. I understand what you're Yeah, I know you're saying that. Talking about him being a proactive and being an advocate at this time, it's

a little bit late. He should have been upfront with the coaching staff about his prior past and let the chips late where they go and then go from there. But now now that it's been found out and now he if he tries to do something, it's a little bit late. If you ask me, I agree. What'd you think of the statement? For you of a

statement? Yeah, it's a gynest. I haven't seen it. Is it just like Wisconsin's pretty much I don't like it then, and that's on the athletic director and coach, so that's bad for the whole school as a whole. Okay, James, thanks a whole bunch, man. We gotta go appreciate James, appreciate your comments on this. Thank you. All right, interesting conversation. I'm sure we're gonna be talking about it some more. It's gonna go on. It's gonna be more opinions and yeah, all right,

Uh, had a good week, Steve. I hope you're having fun in Vegas. Noa, thank you for today and thank you for all week. Good luck on your finals on Monday at last day, right, yeah, all right, so appreciate everything. I hope you had fun with us. Appreciate yeah, of course, of course. Thank you guys for listening to me like roast these guys. All right, let's get the heck out of here. Everybody, have a good weekend, have a great Sinkle than my would be safe tonight. Thanks a bunch
