Dreamy Live, I mean my heart Radio Whip. This is I on the Ball with Steve Brava and Jakin Silence on Fox Sports sporteen fifteen. Hey, welcome back to on the About here Fox Sports fourteen fifty. I'm Steve, He's Jay. Jason now has some breaking news season I on the Ball breaking news. Former Arizona All American Alessa Follomino Cordoza was promanted to assistant coach for

Oregan softball. Oh nice, Okay, I hadn't seen that one. She hasn't even been gone from the Vail all that long, right, just relatively new. You're not her? Hello's say it's Oregon, you know? Yeah? Okay. Former Arizona Software pitching coach Um Tyring Taren Tyring Moab PICKINNI almost hired as Mississippi States softball pitching coach. Yeah, so Tarn got fired,

right, was let go? Let's just say nice? It was let go after after after a really bad performance by the by the softball pitchers this last year. UM a hard one because she's, you know, a legend here in Arizona. Um, she came here from Mississippi. So now she's back in Mississippi. State. So obviously she had some contacts over there, and so she'd been hired as the pitching coach of miss Mississippi State. Again, good for her, no ill will for the job she did here, you

know, good on that she got. She landed her on her feet over there. Um shibo. The nineteen World Cup news. The Serbian team lost to France and it pretty big fashion. Um. But Philippe had a double double in the performance and Team USA did end up beating Japan. So they were going to be moving on to the quarterfinals to play against France tomorrow morning. Actually they're in the semi finals. Was the quarterfinals a Serbi got beat

by thirty nine? Yeah, but your your buddy, Philippe borovichan in double double thirteen points, eleven rebounds. You had a big bluesing effort. Yeah. How many futures are you gonna do on him this year? Steve? Probably just the one when we talked to him about immedia day, him and Henry. It's like Henry, I talked to Henry, Well you saw him in red blue, right, Yeah, weren't you impressed? Like crazy?

I was impressed because he did so much, you know, kind of swing four or long, four, long, five, I should say, and then you kind of didn't see him again. Yeah, interested he struggled, No, yeah, but but expect, but expect struggled. But Tommy Lloyd still believes it is a really good man and he didn't really need him until kind of you know, spots. But I think he's got a great future. Yeah. I think he's gonna be I think he's gonna He's one of

those kids that I think he's gonna surprise some people this coming year. So all right, so National News two time w NBA MVP Asia Wilson has signing two year contract extension with the Las Vegas Aces. They're really good, aren't there, like like setting records and stuff. Yeah. Yeah. Uh. The Nets are has traded Joe Harrison two second round picks to the Pistons, and the Nets are sending a twenty twenty seven Maverick second rounder in twenty nine

bucks second round. Let me ask you guys this because you watch the NBA, right and you see the Pistons and the Wizards, and you see, uh, those periphery teams doing all this stuff, especially like the Pistons are the Wizards, yeah, and others you know, Dallas in Orlando. Um, how do you feel when you know that the best teams out there, you'll never touch the Denver's or the or the teams that they talk about, right, because you're you're just another team, right, Yeah, But Steve,

you know you gotta keep going. And I mean Sacramento, Right, they were terrible for a long time, sure, and they were good lure, sure shooting for that, right, they know they're not gonna be good year in it's gonna take the right They're not gonna be the Warriors, they're not gonna be the Sixers, they're not gonna be the Celtics. But they're still gonna keep working at it so that maybe they bounce up. What happens to the Kings after this last year, who knows, maybe they maybe maybe

for a while. Right, you understand what I'm saying. I mean, build that it takes It takes a long time. They have a you know, a roadmap up where they want to be at some point. It might take five, ten, fifteen years, but you know, year by years, trucking along until they finally get It's like my point to Jay, you're near at the end of the road. Right, Yeah, But he's good. But even so if you're if you're the Wizards and you're a bad team,

it's still good money. So that's what brought me to the point yesterday says, if you're making a lot of money, does it really matter what you do? Does that make sense? Yeah? Um, some Phoenix Suns news. The Phoenix Suns decided to pull the qualifying offer four center Jack Landale, making them a free agents. Okay, so I mean it. They obviously think they don't need that sign that they're keeping DeAndre Um possibly possibly,

but you're still hitting a lot of trade rooms very much. Yeah. So I do have more news about the Phoenix Suns because it is free agency right now. So that um, the Sun signed U center Drew you Banks to a two year deal and a player option in the second in the second season, Um, they also signed a couple other players. Don't will run through them all okay? Cool. They signed the forward Kata Bay to the up to a two year deal worth five million dollars. They signed a guard m

josh Akoge, bringing them back for another year. And they signed guard Damian Lee two year deal of the player option. And they signed another forward, Chimezi me too. To a one year deal. Um, So those are all the signings they've made so far. So those names, how many do you remember? Zero? So what what Jason, you're the guy? Yeah, you're you're here because you know that. Yeah, of course how much

is all that going to help the signs? So I think some of those guys can help them with like because you know you banks Kogee size, right, they need you know, some size if they do move off from DA. But it's most just to have depth. I don't think any of those guys are gonna be playing the massive minutes when it comes to most, but they do need, you know, bodies out there, right, So I think those guys can be some of those bodies they can just throw out there.

Well, they need bodies at the right time, which was the playoff time exactly. So if you don't have it during the season, how can you depend on them to do the playoffs season? Well, they need to get to that to that point so right, And they didn't have it to that point this year because they had no depth, right. And I think you know, with you know, Frank being there, they're gonna have a different player style. And I think with um Monty some of the guys didn't

play, you know, right to be riding for the postseason. I don't think I say that same issue is gonna be there with where the crowded goal eventually, Um, I think you wanted the Bucks. Okay, yeah, so you might end up moving from there, but I think it's with them still. Yeah, okay. Free agent Draymond Green um signed a four year when official official? Yeah, um, Draymond Green signed a four year, one dred million dollar contract to return the Golden State Warriors. That was that

was when they got rid of or definitely? Yeah, No, the families back together. Everybody's back together. Yeah, he was on know if you saw Draymond he was at that the golf match yesterday with Steph Curry. He was running around and chugging beers and all kinds of I'm having agree times. Yeah, sir, Again, we're finding out that that whole deal with Jordan Pool was a bigger deal than anybody thought. And now that the deck is clear, do you feel like Draymonkey might be productive again? Sure? Uh?

Frasian Ford collar Kuzman has agreed to a four year, one hundred two million dollars deal to return to the Washington Wizards four years, one hundred and two. Yep. See, I'd go play for the Wizards for that. Yeah, even though even if they suck, I'd go play for that. But I guess you. Yeah. Bruce Brown has agreed to a two year or forty five million dollars deal with the Indiana pit Pacers. It's like twenty

million dollars is like minimum wage? Anue? Yeah, that's insane. H Frasian Ford Torrean Prince has agreed to a one year, four point five million dollars deal with the Los Angeles Lakers. Where did he come from? Where did he play? One? Prince? Was? It wasn't you pack twelve guy? Wouldn't like the USC guy or something like that. I'm yeah, okay. Um. Boston Celtics and Chris Stop Porzingas are expected to finalize a two year, UM sixty million dollars extension. So is that gonna move him

over the top? Um? I don't think it was a coach still there? Yes, coach. Um. I think they saw some issues that they need to involved. But I mean they'll probably you know better. So yeah, well they got to be better than they were this year because they were very good. Yeah, until the until they ran into Miami. Yeah, I think, you know, Jayleen Brown just has to kind of take our next leap, but you know, in his development, and then they could be, you know, one of the top teams for sure. Um free

agent. So, Kyrie Irving has agreed to a three year, one hundred and twenty six million dollars deal to return to the Dallas Mavericks. Really yeah, good luck to that. I saw he was. I think meetings were like several teams, but he decided to come back, and they were doing really well until he showed until he showed up. Yeah, right, so much. But these I wouldn't you know, I would never have him on my tam people saying that. I mean I've said that before. Your Yeah,

he does because he can play. Yeah, he's a good player. You can play. But you know, guess what, so so could Antonio Brown, So could uh the other receiver who just wrecked long locker room. Be sure, I get it, I'll get it. Yeah. Uh. Three time All Star Chris Middleton has agreed to a new three year, one hundred two million dollars deal to stay with the Milwaukee Bucks. Yeah you don't want I really liked him again. Remember I had him like three years ago

and they failed me and then they won the next year. Watched the Bucks, to watch the Bucks as long as you know Jannes is canna say healthy? They should you know there and that was an issue yeah this year. Yeah, so I'll restricted free agent forward Cam Johnston has agreed to a four year when hundred million when I was an a million dollar deal. You stay out with the Brooklyn Nuts. Wow? Yeah so he was, he was, he was at the Suns, right, yeah, he was, and

they got traded. Yeah, so I mean that's a massive pay for him. But I don't know, dag Man. The way they're handing out money, well, that's the whole thing to I still think that they're pricing out the people who watch them. Yeah, because that's where the money comes on TV and money TV fans. Yeah, that's why it cost three hundred bucks to go to a game. But come on, let's wait crazy, But you know what, the arenas are full? Are they the winning team?

They're full and not I don't know if they are. They're well, they're full and not for the winning teams, for the witty teams. Yeah. So but you know, anywhere the anywhere the Warriors go, the game sells out. You know, you know, anywhere Lebron goes, the game sellout. So you know, people go see the star. Can we schedule Lebron again this weekend? Um? Some boxing news. Cornella Alvara as well defended

super middleweight unspeeded title against junior middleweight undispeedy champion Jermal Trolo. That's the type of thirtieth in Las Vegas. Yeah, some big boxing events going on this week. Where is that going to be? September thirtieth? He said, wearing Vegas. Do we know one of the arenas or probably Team Mobile? Yeah, probably that's the new player. That's the that's the everything is there now? Yeah? Yeah, okay, that's all I breaking is offered today.

All right, man, lots of stuff, a lot free and and you know, I mean we're saying, may make sure that we know who you're talking about when we talk about the NBA guy. Yeah, there there are a lot of guys that we know they are moving around. There are a couple of other involutis for if you guys get them. But yeah, yeah, um, a couple of things. Um. The Big Twelve announced that they actually now have signed the deal that they came up with backing up

back in October of last year. So it's official. Um, all the signatures are on the U are on the TV deal with Fox and ESPN. So they threw out an announcement on that, which I was kind of like, I thought, well, wait a minute, I thought they had already done that, but uh, but they they've done that. Um, what else did I see? Oh? That was oh he was It was on

the Draymond Green thing. So bet MGM put something that says, the Warriors before resigning Draymond Green plus twelve hundred to win the NBA title, the Warriors after signing resigning Draymond Green plus twelve hundred to win the NBA time. Yeah. There. They got a lot of work to do, and they had some weird drafts this year. Two guards or the guardsmen Santa Clara and I can't remember the other guy. Yeah, and they got Chris Paul why more

guards if? Yeah, I'm not really sure you know what their situation is, but they definitely do need more size. I don't think I move, Yeah, they might move off with Chris, but I mean Paul, yeah, Paul, really they need size likes there but like, well, why would you go get them though? That makes no sense. Yeah, I don't understand that trade at all, but they definitely need to do anymore. But I do like the Kings. Do you like the Kings? Maybe doing

it? But to do something yea too? Yeah, you know, take a win total or something like that, right, because there again, a team gets good with the with the core guys. They can be good for a while and they're young and you're not. You're not in the NBA because you can keep signing your guys. You don't tend to be a flash in the panel. They maybe only be good for a few years then going the crapper again, but they'll probably be good for a while, you know.

And that's that's what these all these teams are shooting. So did you watch golf thing yesterday with a little bit who who want another? Um um mahomes and and mahomes and uh and Kelsey one. I heard Clay was pretty bad. It was bad golf. Yeah, I saw. I saw Clay Thompson hit the shot that I hit. He skulled like a three iron that never got more than a foot off the ground and went into the trees. Couldn't

carry him again. I think, yeah, I think I think the the uh, the the format they were playing was, uh like a scramble, but a two man scramble. So so they they they both hit, then go both hit from the best shot and Clay Thompson just couldn't hit anyway. Yeah he's golfer. Yeah, Kelsey was actually pretty good. He was he was. The thing about that is that all all these guys are big, tall guys, right, you know, Clay Thompson's what six five six six,

yeah, Um, Travis Kelsey's a big dude. Mahomes, mahomes maybe you know, six two. But watching these guys golf, you know, you bean, it's hard to be tall to be a golfer. So it was interesting to you know, we watch a guy like Travis Kelsey, how far he had to bend over to hit his ball. But he was actually pretty decent. It was okay, I'm watched it for a few minutes. Then Hotel is Smoltz and he's a really good golfer. There's a couple of

guys like that, like like Scottie Scheffler is a tall guy. You know, there's a few of those. There was a really a Phil Blackmore was was six six or six seven, and he was you know, he won some tournaments. He was a decent golfer. But you know, short guys like me, Man, we we've got it. We're all we gotta go. Jake's ready for right. We'll hit the road, we'll come back,

and we'll have Jake Fisher on running the world running back. Jay. Now we have Jake on the phone. Jake Pischer, How are you wonderful? How are you guys doing? We're doing them good for a Friday. How are you enjoying the heat or dealing with it? So? What I'm gonna do. I'm actually going to take the rest of today off, and since none of my clients are going to be back in town or whatever until Wednesday, I actually have an excuse not to work. Nice now you go. Good to be your boss. You must like your boss.

Yeah, absolutely, I love my boss. He gave me a few extra days off. You're hanging out by the pool. You're leave in town. What are you doing? I'm gonna be by the pool and then we got a couple of trips planned if things go right. So um, I'll leave you guys up to suspense though, Okay, Okay, okay, hey, I know play. I've asked you this. Do you golf or have you ever golf? Or do you like golf? Or do you not? Mine?

I used to absolutely love golf when I wasn't shanking everything. I actually got pretty decent for a while, stopped and went periodically from time to time, and just progressively got worse. So now I do not like it. Yeah, I hear you. That's what I don't golf. Okay, when was the last time back on the range? When was the last time you actually golfed, you know, on a golf course. Oh man, it's

been probably two and a half years. Okay, all right, it's not that long ago until you played some I played a little bit back when I was in college. My little brother and I used to hit the links at least once a weekend. So, um, you know, we both got pretty good. He's still pretty good, but me not so much. Yeah.

Well, I'm asking because we had Judy Judy McDermot, who runs First Tea here in tuson the youth golf program, and I just it was it took me back to you know, I started playing when I was when I was twelve. So did you when did you start playing? Oh, the first time I ever swung a golf club, I was in high school and I was like me and the football players. We were so bad that the first three times we went, somebody broke one of the uh the clubs that

we rented. But because I was always the one that gave him my ID, they banned me from there for years. And I didn't break one club. It was all the people that came with me. But I was that guy that would give him the idea to day and next thing you know, I get banned. Tough to be the captain to Hey, we had WHIHI will hip? Is it right? Wi Bill? Yeah? On the show, you must like you most like the fact that the locals are coming to UVA, at least committing to Absolutely, it's a nice change of pace.

You know, it's been a while since we've gotten a really good two sum player to commit and stay home. One that you know is gonna you know, he's gonna project to be a really good college player. And they said he's raw right now, and they said that he's big, he could put on more weight. He's explosed, so you never know what's some good coaching he might be able to take it to the next level. So no,

just after that, the two Son guys stayed home. He sounds humble, and he sounds like him and Russian are good buddies, and it sounds like South Point's gonna have a hell of a defensive wines here. So I'm gonna tell you, Jake, some of the guys that I that I know and you you know who these guys are. Uh, when when we're talking about Keona will Hide, they started going through Tucson got the best two son guys who played football at Arizona, and they threw your name in there with guys

like, uh, like Mike Dawson and Advance Johnson and Kadeem Carry. I said, they said, Jake Fisher. I'm like, all right, man, Jake's gonna like that. Noah. So me, me and Tavis were a couple of guys in there by the hometown team, and we we found a way to kind of, you know, get a niche in there, and we we you know, eventually ended our careers on a really good note. But um, I mean, You've had some really really good players come

through, and I'm happy that we're continuing to have him. It seems like we have you know, more than you usual over the last few years. But every single one of them goes to sal Point, so it's like health Point might as well just jump a division and go play all Phoenix schools at this point. So let me ask you this a dumb question, and you're a friend of mine, So what would you have done had Arizona come calling? I had a couple of offers to fall back on, thankfully, but

I mean Arizona was always tempting because it was close to home. You have friends, and then you have a bunch of people that you're going to meet, so you developed new friends and then you kind of know your way around town. It's comfortable with me. I was blessed because when I blew my knee out, my family was right there to kind of help to filitate me getting back up on my feet. So, you know, and some of these guys are I mean, shoot, it's one of those things to where

he got like a kena will high. Like I said, you know, he bounced around, I guess from high school to high school and he finally found a couple of coaches that knew he was going to be super, super good and thankfully, you know, he found those coaches. He may have gone under the radar if it wasn't for that, because I mean, this kid apparently is so I'm good that his recruitment was starting to become national.

So thankfully committed to us when he did so. When you were right on campus and you put under pads and you played your freshman year that first year, I think that was rich Rod swept first year, second year, My first year was stups is third to last year even better, even better.

So you showed up who is the dude or maybe a couple of dudes that you said, these dudes are really good, well from what little I saw in the weight room of some of the older guys, because they basically put all the freshmen together and they say, you guys are going to be one unit and then eventually we'll start putting in with some of the other guys. But some of the guys you know in the weight room, you know a

couple of guys that got drafted. Brooks Reid is an absolute animal. I mean, we knew of him coming out of high school and we knew he was going to be a beast. And when they put him at d ND and I got to start seeing him at d ND. They put him at DN the year before I got there, and I think he had like Ken Zacks his first year playing at d END. Ever, and then he had guys like Earl Mitchell, who you know, eat this guy in the entire

world. As soon as he gets on the field, he starts to beat me up and you're like, yeah, that guy, he's pretty dan solid. And uh, you know, you had guys like Dalas Shawn Deane, you know, even though he got kicked off the team eventually, I mean he was jumping over people patching stuff. And then we had a couple of really really good defensive backs obviously, I mean there were there was a lot

you know, kind of like what je Fish is doing. There was a lot of NFL talent on that team, and you can just tell us who's going to be able to take the next step and who wasn't. So when when you, you know, being a local kid, did you ever kind of inquire what was the attraction for some of the out of town guys who came here? You know, why did they come to Arizona. Well, you know, you have a lot of weird h a lot of weird reasons.

We had a receiver that basically said, man a Texas would have offered, you know, I would have stayed, I wouldn't have come here, and you know, Texas A and M screwed me over at the last second telling the spot. So you know, Arizona's my fall back place. And and then you had guys that you know, kind of burst onto the team

at the very last second. You know, they had that really really solid senior year, maybe grew an inch and you know maybe their best offer was like a North Dakota State, which is once again not a slouch, but like you know, he wanted to go big, you know, power five football, and they ended up coming here. So people come from all,

you know, different backgrounds. Um. You know, some of the things I really like about what Jet and his staff do is they are going to see, hey, listen to is this guy that we've had our eye on. Um, you know, it mightn't be in two song, might not, but we're actually going to watch his senior year. Hold a couple of spots open. And if this guy, you know some of this seemed like I think he will, We're gonna offer him. So I mean, scour everything you have to go ahead and you have to recruit, you know,

the high school. Obviously, you have to recruit transfer portal. You have to you know, you have to take chance on some developmental players. Uh. You know, it's all over the place. So this is a dumb question because we're just random. We talked to you every Friday, so I know the type of guy you are. You're an intense dude. Love success. So, um, when you what to practice? Do you always ready to practice? You know, when you are always that guy or the other

days like you know, God, I wish I was in here. No, I had the mentality like a lot of us did. Every now and then you have to be the vocal guy. But thankfully, most of the time I was there, we had one of those guys, so I didn't have to do that. But I just showed up every single day. I had the mentality I had to get in and get my work done, you know, don't think about anything else but work on the field right now.

And that's just kind of how you have to take it because you know, as let's just say you're a freshman or sophomore, one of the young guys you have six o'clock or six thirty ways sometimes with be them earlier than that. Then you got to go to training table. Then you gotta you know, you've got to go and uh, you know, get some my thumps and bruises. Then you get a class, you might have two three classes,

depending on what day it is, and then you get back. You have to go and get some treatment again, find some time to watch some film if you do want to get on the field earlier than that. And then you get with your you know, your position coaches, and this is you know all before practice. Can you have practice, and if you want to be really good, you have to spend some time after practice. So

you have to kind of focus on one thing. If you have something you know in the back of your mind going through with the entire day, they might ruin everything else. So yeah, you have to be very methodical. That's kind of the best way I can take of So Jay, let me and then the quick question. So, Jay, I don't know if you agree with me with this, but college life was my best time in my life. Just fun, no really worries, just going to class and don't

screw up. Jay, And you would kind of saying what about for you? Because it was there a lot of work? Obviously it's a fun time you're young, all these things happening. It was it fun or was it just really too much? Well, so there's there's a few of us on the team that can agree with this. Like when you have when you go from you know, the coach Stoops to the coach rich Rod, where there's just a lot more stress and and you know, your body just gets broken

down so much more. The last two years were a little bit more difficult just because you know, a couple of us, we were leaders of the team. You know, we had to spend time with a lot of young guys they were bringing in, Like you know, I spent a lot of time with that young group of linebackers that came in my senior year, you know, with Scooby and those guys, and I mean just those guys wanted to get on the field and they had to because we were so thin a

linebacker. Now we had to take extra time go sit down with them after practice, after we get you know, an extra you know, I don't know, session of field workout on or whatever it is. So it was very very long days, I will tell you though. You know, when you weren't in football. It was super fun, it was super relaxing. You get your workout in, you go watch some films, you get your class work done. And because I was an eller, I would have basically

a three day weekend, sometimes a four day weekend every single week. Wow okay, because to me, it just being an athlete just seems to me to be so much work, so much of a commitment. Like you say, you know, you talk about working out and watching film like, okay, I do this every day, and it's you know, there's still time to do stuff. I've always wondered where you guys found the time to do

other stuff. All we do is we just you know, we do it after the game, and then next day is uh, you know, we'll have some work and then Mondays usually they would give us time off, but that entire day was basically spent getting caught up and getting ready for the week in terms of classes and you know, and being an ell or you know, a couple of the guys on the team, you know, Jared ten is a couple of those guys. They could tell you we have projects dam

there every week. So you've got to find time even after practice sometime to go meet at Bay Trim or whatever you want to call it. And sometimes you get there late and all four of your your group members have left and they lead you to something where you have to figure it out on your own. So, like I said, it's tough during the season. Offseason, you just got to worry about, you know, doing a little bit of as to work, watching some film, getting prepped. But you don't have

the crazy pactic things going around you like you do in the season. But you had to be incredibly disciplined right to do all that stuff too, you know, whatever schedule you had, and to make sure you did get your work done because it's you know, look, I was a college student and you know I had to have a class and if I had if I had games left on the pinball machine, uniting, go to class. I mean,

but you had to have the incredibly discipline. Yeah. Yeah, No, the discipline thing is the biggest one because the people that started and consistently played, and you know they weren't getting their names starting the paper or whatever it is, the ones that you saw in the field all the time, those are generally the most consistent players, unless you're just an absolute stud and there's no way that, you know, you can be left off the field.

Those guys all get their work done, they get their class work done, they get their actual workout student, they watch film. You know, they work at it, and that's the reason why they're starters. So sometimes one of the young guys will step up and you know they're performing better. But normally what you want college football is you want to have a bunch of guys that are going to show up, work hard, They're gonna do what they need to do. They know the plays, they know their roles,

they know all the checks, everything like that. And they're a little bit older, they got a little bit more discipline, and you can go to work with those guys and you would do it all over again. I'm sure. No, Yeah, I would. I'd still go try to play a couple of plays, but you know, going and doing all the off season regiments stuff. Now I'm done with that, Okay, Okay, Well, Jake dell swich up to business wise Arizona Health Insider www dot Arizona health insider

that a good thing or a bad thing? Steve, it's probably a good thing. Steve's that your wallet? Wallet? How do you put that in your pocket? It's tough, it's difficult. Oh my god. Do you have back problems from that? Well, you have back problems, but not from this. It's a bunch of business cards and yeah, Steve, yeah, get a desk. What's that two and a half inches inch and a half? Yeah's at least it's tough together. This makes my butt bigger.

Well, I had a doctor a long time ago tell me to go to a front front pocket wallet, which I have a lot of time ago, and I keep my wallet thing. Actually that's where we use this one most of the time. Don't keep stuff. I don't keep that stuff, like, I don't keep that much stuff with me anymore. I'll have it in my backpack or something about your credit cards, Well, I don't have

a million credit cards. I've only got a few. Okay, Yeah, I've got a couple of debit cards and a couple of credit cards and I got that's kind of like me. I got my Costco card. I just think he was a bad moved by this one because there's so much compartments. But I just got a front pocket wallet now I've had for a long time. Yeah, okay, good to know. Too much of original information for everybody out there. Um, fourth of July coming up, man, this

is this would be fun. It's it's it's funny with the how many people I've heard with the holiday falling on Tuesday, that are taking Monday off as well. Oh yeah, very much. So there's a great weekend. Yeah, and then that's why I wanted to leave town and my poor wife right. Her. Her company is based in Switzerland, so little and everybody that she deals with basically from out of the country. And she's working on this

she's working on this project involving the BBC and all that stuff. And there they said a meeting for her at seven o'clock in the morning on Tuesday, Tuesday, and I said, dang, she goes, well, not everybody, and she goes not everybody celebrates. And on top of that, if she's it's it's with the BBC's On top of that, those people are still mad at us over there in England. It's the reason why they're celebrating. I mean the whole grudges too. Oh yeah, yeah, yeah, you

know they lost the whole country. But you think they'd get over it, like two hundred and some years, two hundred fifty years on. You sure they're not Gonzales is you know, you don't know, man, you don't know, you bitter. So yeah, So she's she's got a seven am breakfast meet, a meeting on zoom. But then we're sick. We're gonna go up to Mount Lemon get into smart Man School. Whether you're going home right, yeah, I'm going I'm gonna be up there a day or two.

Stupid one hundred ten is not enough for me. Yeah, do you know how it's gonna be down there? No, but probably about thirteen with probably Yeah, we did. We did that once with the kids, and I'm thinking, why did we do this? Have you ever gone to disneland when it's super been super duper super hot? No, Man, that's the worst. You can never find a place to cool off. Probably. I can remember going to Orlando and it was sticky, ugly, sticky. Yeah, you know, we've got you know, I had our kids, and

it's like you just go sit in a restaurant just to sit somewhere. Definitely know that it ain't the happiest place on earth. So there's sometimes, man that it's not that people get cranky in the heat. For sure. Never never got a chance to go over for Fourth of July, but we always went, you know, late July, early August, and man, it could be really damn hot over there. But it's been a while. We went to We went to three years ago and that was the last time we

were there to actually four years ago. To call all right, Mickey Mouse, you're on the are and on the ball. Yeah, this is Nico. What's going on? Man? How much trouble you're gonna cause in the next four days through the holiday? Hey man, I gotta work some of these days. You got a job. You've got a job, and I'm sure you're you ain't gonna be lighting up fireworks, but maybe something else. I will be cook pizzas at a level. He's so good for you.

Good for you. Your voice is really sounds good. You're sounding like thirty years old. Now, Hey man, every time I attacked to you, man, it sounds like you want to take me home. I'm not interesting, take you up and abuse the meat the crap out of you next some of your day, you know, and Nicol believe me, Steve does not want to take you home. Okay, I'm pretty sure you're Scooby Doo. You're not. What's shaggy? Yeah, yeah, you're shaggy. What's up?

Yeah? Did I hear right that the British are still mad at the According to well they they they scheduled my wife seven am meeting on fourth of July, so I think they are. They got to get over that, man, they got Yeah, it was a huge upset though, right, they were, they were They they were, they were giving points. They were they see, yeah, they were giving points, man, and then they got their but they got their butt smacked by a bunch of renegades.

So what's so you like the Sun's moves? What any moves going on? That? You like? Cardinals? No? Got Cala murray on the Cardinals. I don't like that. You don't like that? Right now? I'm with you. Do you like that the Suns still have eighten? I mean he's a quitter, but yeah, I guess. Well, let me ask you both. All you guys, so everyone talks about Okay, if he goes through the team, you might see something different. I continue to see if if he is who he is, he is who he is, he's

already been gone. We said this when he was here. This, So then five years later he's still the same guy. What makes him five years he's gonna be different? Guy? Yeah? I think nothing. Man. I think I changed the scenery. Maybe you know, maybe he might Yeah, yeah, but I think he is what he is. You've been the same guy at all your jobs. Oh damn, man, that's why he's like to work. I'll try my best, but you just gotta know. I'm gonna quit classic class. That's funny. At some point, looks I

get enough money to go somewhere I want to go. Yeah, I'm going. You're all right, gotta get at least he's motivated for some parts of it. You know what. Here's the here's the thing about that. You know what's who he is? Right right? Hey? Are you meaning to be somebody else? What part of the town are you in? Making pizzas? And I don't want to talk about about Broadway. I'll tell you I

was gonna go see you say older pizza, but I guess not. Okay, hey Man, Broadway And if you can't find it way, that's that's way too far from that's even far from me. That's past my house. Okay, all right, an good luck. At the end of the day, if I make enough money to go to La San Diego, you're going Jay some of that callie tail. That's all that matters for me. As long as you're not cutting on the radio. We're fucking weekend Steve Man.

Hopefully get lucky this weekend. I love him man, Oh got nothing like a Nico Friday caller, but he's him, but him and Howard. Howard's not cussing. Howard hasn't called it off. Yeah, he's taking us Abatico fills. No, he's taking ubat like okay, yeah, he's okay, he's text me every now and again. Okay, yeah, all right, but he's he's he's abbatical from USK. You know, after the last some people needs episode, some people need that from us. I mean we get

you know. No, he's the one that we had to shut him off. Yeah, although you guy yea, Yeah. People were saying, well, did he cuss? Did he not cuss? As we've been talking about. Man, there's a lot of people listening to us. Oh, I know, I know. Idea. You continue to get some more numbers. Very cool. Another caller, you're on the arm on the ball. Hey, I wanted to give a shout out to Nico. He's the only reason. I mean, you guys are great, but he's one of the main

reasons I listened to the show. I wish he had a weekly like on Friday? Is that fourty five? So I love you, But it's like, where's Carmon San Diego? No, where's Nico? Exactly? Man, exactly funny, funny. So what's going on? What do you guys planned this weekend, just hanging out with the kids and then seeing it. I mean, it's a boring time of sports, trying to watch mccross and who is nothing to bet on dog days in summer? Yeah it is. It's

a little it's a little top, a little top. You don't bet baseball, do I know. I don't touch baseball, but are you bidding bases baseball? You can't trust and they don't meet the odds enough for us baseball. Yeah. Yeah, I've been looking at the futures for different NBA and NFL. That's pretty good. But yeah, okay, all right, all right, yeah, alright, well thanks so much for calling. Appreciate good week, I thank you, appreciate. Well, it's good to know that

we must have Nico on the show more. But you know, I don't know if that's that's a statement about our show or what, but hey, you guys need more Nico. God, we were boards Nico. Give us a quick call, oh man, but uh yeah, he looks. You know, there's still there's stuff to watch. I guess if you're not a baseball fan, now it's hard. You know, I watched Dodgers every day because there's not a whole hell of a lot else going on. But you know what I saw just to you said, Dodgers. Uh first baseman.

What's his name? Uh, Freddie, Freddie, fantastic player. I knew that before he got there. But he's he's like the first dude in Dodger uniform to do fifty fifty whatever. He's got. He's got ten stolen bases, doubles for home runs, he's got the first Dodger And forever I wish he was on my fantasy team. He's so good. Yeah, he's so good. But um, he's a smooth dude. Yeah he's and he's a cool and he's a cool dude. He's just a very likable guy. You

know, he comes up and you think he's gonna do something. A lot of times he does. Um. It's funny because last night the Dodgers were playing. Dodgers were kicking the crap out of the Rockies, and I was exchanging text messages with Jack McGruder, our friend who's he was scoring the game. So we were going back and forth on different stuff, and so I talked a little bit with him, So he'll get him on we a week from Tuesday. And then when where's it a Seattle settle? I think it's

okay, I believe it's in Seattle. Mookie Betts from the Dodgers is going to be on in the in the in the Home Run Derby. Uh so, but uh, let me see it, let me see for sure, for sure, for sure? Uh I just I just wanted to because because typically they have a pretty good place to go play. Obviously. Yeah, I watched a little bit of the Home Run Derby, but I mostly you know, and I kind of watched some of the game. Uh where where

Yeah, it's in Seattle. Okay, it's in Seattle. Hey. Um uh Roman Bravo Young our guest on our show, local kid NC double a national champion a bunch of times. Um had his first professional uh first professional about last night outside of Vegas. Um. He wrestled to a tie to Yeah. They I'm not sure how this even works, but it was a ten minute about. They went went to full ten minutes and they had a draw. So so he's O O ND one. Yeah, so we'll we'll

have to get him on here. See how he's doing. We'll see what he see how he's doing, See what he's doing, and why he's doing and why he's doing. Um Cather was something else I wanted to I wanted to mention before we got out of here. Um oh, I wore the blue today, right because I missed it yesterday. Okay, yesterday was the thirty third anniversary of for nine of All Swells is no Here nineteen Yeah,

twenty June twenty nine, nineteen ninety through a note here. The clip came across my TikTok feed this morning and uh I checked it out, watched, you know, watched the fourth the last inning, um Pedro Guerrol. He didn't do a double play for the for the last two outs of the game, and Fernando had had his uh as no hitter. Very cool, one of my all time favorite players just across the board. You know who he

is? No, damn it? Can I say that, Jason? Okay, on your way home, google Fernando Volenzuela, and I want you to come back with the report next week on who he is. Like I wanted two hundred word me his name because yeah, we've already given you a couple of names here. Yeah. Well we did the Donna summer and okay, let's take take a real quick, real quick, you say hi, you're on the area on nine the ball. You got about a minute? Yeah, hey, tell him on Hulu thirty for thirty season one. There's a

Fernando special thirty for thirty season. Can't keep that job there or the internship if he doesn't know who he is there, it is there, it is. I don't remember seeing that one, but I'm sure it's. Yeah. I've seen it. I've seen it. And it goes back to his days in Mexico. Yeah right, I mean he can't. You want to talk

about a dude from from the We talked about his first first dame. He he while he pipped the guy, yeah right, yeah, and then and the rest was history and he became a he became a phenomenon in in La. He was marked the bird fed rich before he was he was linn Sanity, Yeah right, he was lin Sandy way before Lindsay right, I mean he would just it was it was that level of stuff. Well yeah, just just imagine all Hispanic cultures just flocking to who yeah, who he is?

Yeah? So and he's he currently he's the Spanish language announcer for the Dodgers. Okay, okay, gotcha there. You go look him up. Man, I want you, I want you. I want you to come and bring me a fact that I don't be Jo Friday. You might be in next week, right, yeah, week from today.
