It's dreamy live. I mean my heart radio ware. This is High on the Ball with Steve Rivera and Jacob Salaz on Fox Sports fourteen fifteen. Hey, welcome back to A on the Ball here Fox Sports fourteen fifty on Steve Rivera, Hein, Jacobs Austin. Now we've got our guys, said Lucas with some break news. This is High on the Ball Breaking news on Fox Sports fourteen fifteen. Okay, said man, breaking the no. I can't say, Pop say if there's a question, went in doubt, even though
baby all right said breaking news. That's all yours, all right. So this morning Arizona Volleyball lost three ones. You see, Davis is the first ye new era, new coach, so yikes. Yeah, rough start, but it's not so good butt a tournament. So hopefully they can turn around in this tournament. We'll see. I believe they play in North Carolina next they do. They play in North Carolina tonight. I don't know what time, but they it's it's third season opening Cactus Classic, so they haven't one
more match tomorrow, but already owned one. That's not that's not I can imagine. Now let me see him it close my eyes and go. Rubio is somewhere thinking I got out at the right time. He's surfing somewhere. You know that he's he's out there surfing somewhere, all right, gool. So another news related to Arizona football, a mock draft, according to Connor Rodgers of NBC Sports, as Jordan Morrigan going twenty third overall. It's the Dolphins twenty third. Now, he was like a top ten guy before he
got hurt last period? Is that? Am I right? Yep? Yeah, on that so, I mean the fact that he's still you know, the top of the draft is pretty good for him. But you know, hey, play some games, see what you can do. Get higher. Right when you think of this Arizona team, I think that there's four guys that could probably get drafted with t mac Cowing and then Savanah and then you got Jordan. So this team has has some talent for sure. T Mac needs to stay in another year. I'm gonna be pissed at him. Yep,
you better not go after a sophomore year. I'll be mad. I won't be his friend anymore. Who's just talking to me? Who are you? T Mac? You know I'm telling you man, we know people, we know people, all right, don't do it, don't do it? All right? What or what do you think he is? He an NFL quarterback from what I've seen on tape as of right now? I wait a minute, stop stop from what you've seen on tape? Do you like go back and watch highlights and clips and stuff? Yeah, yeah, I do.
I will say I'm a junkie for football and specifics, especially when it comes there it's on a football I have whenever they're on. I have him recorded on my YouTube TV. So I got him. I got all those games tape, and you go back and watch them and analyze plays and stuff like that. Yeah, Steve, you didn't tell me this about him before he got him over here? Do you like it or you've done? I don't know. He takes all this crap too, so you know he gets
I know, but I don't. I don't sit there and go back and forth and analyze how if James Delores an NFL quarterback, But just look at it and see what you see, you'll you know, a great him out. I would say. One of the big struggles with him. I think that if he can improve on this year is just staying in the pocket when he has a clean pocket. More. I feel like at times he has a clean pocket and he'll get off his read and kind of move out to
the pockets. Dave he analyzed this film, Well, here's the guy that we should have talked to when we should When you go to a game, what do you look at? Okay, when you go to a game as a specter? Now you are you are? You? Are you gonna be working at games or just going to games? I'll be I'll be just going to games. Okay. When you go to a game, what do you what do you watch? What are you looking at? You know? On the field, what I look for right now is the stripe on the quarterback's
helmet. I want to see if he's going through his reads or if he's sticking on on his first is not coming off of it? Just direction. Yeah, that's one of the mains. I wouldnt even think that. I wouldn't even think that. Who taught you how to how to do stuff like that? Honestly, just the Internet just diving into things. I realized that I like football more than most, so I started to dive into that a couple of years ago and just started getting access to certain things. I feel
stupid. Well no, I know you learned something. Teach an old dog new tricks. All right, good? So there. Sticking with football, I think it's important to note that we got about four team captains from the state of Arizona. Wow. So we have Jacob Cowing, Jordan Morrigan, Trading Stukes, and Gunner Maldonado off from Arizona. How many captains did they name they got? Okay? Ye? Who else? Who else? Besides those guys, you have Jane Delora, up Manu and Martel Irby, which
is one of the UCLA transfers. Oh yeah, okay, all right, cool, very cool? All right. Next, next one we got here is flipping to Arizona basketball. As we got I think seven guys playing for World Cup rosters. So Josh Green, Larry market In, Ronde, Hollis, Jefferson bus On, Wrist Stitch, and Emmanuel act Or all on World Cup rosters. So that's who who'd playing? Is he with the US I'm assuming right, or somebody else? I said, Jordans on the on the
Jordan Wow, okay, yeah, got some connection to that. I didn't. I hadn't heard of Ronde playing basketball at all. Right, a lot of these guys are Emanuel Acott. I totally forgot about him as well. Yeah, he went to transferred out to he by you, he went somewhere than than. It didn't work out there, No, it was uhd Barcella went to by U Boys State. I'm sorry, boy, that's right. Wow, okay, cool. You didn't set the time, so we're good. Right, Oh yeah, it's okay, we got I see it four
about nine minutes. Yeah, yeah, what else you have we got? ESPN released their updated recruiting rankings and Arizona is a top forty recruiting class for twenty twenty four. So I think that should be encouraging. What what sport? Are we talking about? Football? Fayers on a football So that's it. That's a huge step if they can be consistent, they're bringing more talent top forty. Yeah, I mean it's kind of like, really, is that all? You know? When they were like ninetieth a couple of years
ago. Right, So I'm bad, I'm bad at all. Hey, Look, we've said from from day one, jet Fish is coming here to do the work, and and he's doing he's doing that work, and his guys are doing the work and and you know they're going on getting guys, you know, and it just shows that when you don't do the work, what happens. And we saw that for three years here with that guy who left after this, All right, I think it's important to get the right
position as well. I think I think that bringing in the lineman that he's brought in and has been huge because it's in the past Arizona when you think of their line, it hasn't been a strength for them. Well and that was a Laban love it said yesterday, right, what I mean, how how big a difference he sees on on both lines? And yeah, you don't know what I mean, as he said, you can have all the great receivers, great quarterback all that stuff, you don't have guys who can
block and guys on defense who can stop the other side. What you know, what good is it? So I'm gonna I'm interested to see. I will actually I think you're talking about what you know, what do you watch? I think I'm actually gonna, you know, at least in a U game, just see if Arizona can dominate the line, because I remember against both remember North Dakota State, they abuse the hell out of Arizona right on
both sides of the line. But that was it. You know, an FB an FCS school dominating their use schools literally but still no, I get it. Well, that's your dress up team. I mean, you don't you think Arizona's gonna come off the button? Ben's looking a lot better, but sending I mean North Dakota State, it's pretty good. Yeah, yeah, that game was I watched a little bit of that game. That's a
good game. It's a really good game. It's a very good game and a game that at the end you were just happy that Arizona that you were talking about a win instead of the loss. So thanks. All right, we got h sticking with the football. Checking out the ESPN percentage for each game and as if right now they have SU winning the territory of cup fifty one point nine percent. Wow. I think that's super interesting game. Who's who's voting for? It's just ESPN as a whole. What are we gonna
do this today or two next week? That's right, No, we're doing our We're doing our over unders. Okay, last segment today, Okay, okay, we're gonna go through most of them, go through there all the packed off. Okay, I haven't studied, so it doesn't really neither. Okay, I'm good at that. I'm not studying. Gay all right, I'm moving on to the Little League World Series. As we get into the thicket things here, Curusal versus Chinese TYPEI for the International Championship, and then
you have California versus Texas for the US Championship Tomorrow California. Gut into that. These games are tomorrow, yep, Tomorrow nine thirty is the first one Chinese Type and curis Ou and then right after that is the California and Texas. So the Championships on Sundaynda, I believe. Yeah Sunday. Wow. Man, it takes a long time to get there. It's like a two
week tournament now. Yeah, and then they start airing now they air like the regionals and the Superregionals, right, and the pool play and something. You get to go play a bunch of games. You can just go over
there and play a game and you're done. So pretty cool. I know Steve isn't a big uniform guy, but for those that are, we will have new Military Appreciation Uniform Servius UTAH November eighteen, I don't know how I feel about in particular, but I do think that at some point the red, the red uniforms got to come back because because it's Arizona, man, I mean, the red's got to be a part of it. But you saw, you see them. They're hard to read when you have the numbers
and the names. I'm not sure that's the reason why they're not back. But no, what you gotta have white numbers. Yeah, you gotta have white numbers, but on a red jersey or on it's like well that, yeah that those were terrible. And then there was a couple of years where I mean you could I could not see numbers from where I sat, even with binoculars. No, if you have with the red or blue jersey,
you gotta have a white number, no doubt. But I guess these these uh, these military appreciation jerseys, the numbers and then the thing on the sleeve are are like light camera. Yeah, but they kind of look cool and for military appreciation. Remember they had those gray ones for the USS Arizona that one year. So you know that's cool. You know you do something like that, you know, people buy the jersey or whatever, you know, And I think that we did at the Sugar Skulls. The first year
that we did. We had a we had a game Memorial Day weekend. We created a camel jersey if they still wear black and gold yellow camel jersey, and then we auctioned off the jerseys, you know, and that was a cool thing and people bought those. They were fun, so pretty cool. Moving into some MLB stuff, The d Backs last night got the win and they stay in the wild Card race as of right now. They are the thirteen man just above the Giants. So they're in right now. They're
in as of right now. So what are they They like ten out of the Dodgers, Well, the Dodgers are like ten and a half or eleven. Yeah, they're like out of almost no. No, but they've gone like ten and ten and ten and four last fourteen, they've gone a lot. They've won a bunch after they had a long they swept apart. They got hot against the Padres, against you, it's not my padre, Steve
Gary. I mean, we'll see how how it goes for the d Backs, but if they can sneak in there, it'll be interesting to see because this is a really young team. So I think for them. It's going to be important if they get the playoff experience. They're a young team. They've shown it. They played really well, then they wore horrible, another playing really well again. Yeah yeah. So I mean they got a lot of young prospects. I think that with the MLB right now, I think
it's it's tough to pick a World Series winner at this point. I mean, and the al you have the Orioles, who are you know, a new new team in the playoffs, and then you got the Braves, Dodgers and those more bluebloods on the n L side. So I think MLB playoffs this year're gonna be super interesting. I think the Braves are gonna be hard to beat. Oh yeah, I just think they're gonna be hard to be
there, so damn good. And I you know, well, while while the Dodgers have been extremely hot in the second half, won a lot of games, they hit the crap out of the ball, I don't think they have the pitching just you know, to just sustain during the playoffs and uh, you know, you gotta have some dominant pitching and they have no dominant pitchers. Yeah, some really good ones. Yeah yeah, but you know, they don't have any dominant pictures. They is not around. Uh,
Dustin May is not around. You know, they've got some guys who can throw Every game seems like a patchwork of pictures. Yeah, get them through it. That's been the tough part of this year. I mean, it has been good to see some new some new faces, and some other ones come back. Like I don't know if you're a fan of Kik Hernandez, but he's love him. It should. I think it's crazy how they've turned around some of those guys that come in. I love He's one of my
favorites. Hey, I got a quick one because it just just came across from Ryan Kartchy at the La Times. The James family le bron James family said that his cardiac arrest was caused by a congenital heart defect that they say, quote unquote can and will be treated. They say, we are very confident in Bronie's full recovery and return to basketball in the very near future. So when they say can and will be treated, on what that means if there's some what do you do? Are they gonna open them up and fix
it or what? You know? What what's that? What that's gonna mean. I don't know, but h so we'll see what we'll see what that means. But they say he's gonna play again. So yeah, good news, good news. We also Friday night lights tonight, so we got some good games. Maranna sop point. We got some Arizona guys, a lot of Arizona guys. Steve and I are gonna go over there. We're gonna scope that out, and we're gonna watch the stripe on their helmet to see
what they do. Yeah, when you notice this little detail, it makes a little more interesting. All right, we got we gotta take ours another break. Uh hey, nice job, very nice job. Wait to wait to break out. So we're gonna take break right now. We're gonna come back with Eddie Smith nineteen eighty five eighty four eighty five, captain of that first basketball team and so he's here for the Ludols and Basketball Classics or fantasy
camp, so we will be right back. Eddie Smith? How did it turn how did uh how did it turn out today? In your first two games? And say you know you're on the air. Okay, all right, thank you for letting me know that I sent through what I say, No, uh, it went well. You know, hey, campers had a great time, so that's the main thing. They're exhausted, uh know, they need to go home and make sure they get the rest, be ready for tomorrow. It's let's remind people that
these aren't little kids. They're older dudes. Dude, you already had one blowout with an injury. You're right running? Oh who got Yeah? Yeah, I feel for him, because I've had that before, so I know exactly how that, you know, just just a camper who just kind of suffered an ankle injury. They weren't working these guys hardy. I was like, you're making them run? What are you guys doing? Or do they
just no? You know, it's just regular play. But you know what's once you get on that floor and start going up and down a couple of times, you know, you get exhausted and they realize it, Oh, I'm not in shape. I'm not years old exactly. And then what did they say about that exhausted man? Hey it I don't you know, it will bring everything out of you that you don't want right right, right? How do you like being back? Oh? I love it, you know
what? Coming back this time it's better and I'm taking more time and I'm really getting to, you know, talk to the people and hear their story and investing them, taking time. So I really appreciate it. You know, I didn't even have some thoughts maybe I might return. WHOA, look at you man, And you're in Atlanta right now, or at least in Georgia right correct, Yes, I'm in Atlanta. Wow, it's not hot enough over there for you. You know, they always say, oh it's
a different type of heat. Hey, look, hot is hot, whether it's a dry heat or for a wet one. Yeah. So when you come to this, when you come to this basketball camp ed, you know, what what do you have in mind? What do you guys? What do you want to do for these guys though? Why why are you here? Well, man, that's a great question. Uh I you know, I just want to be able to share with them, and I think that's the main thing. To be there visibly you can say an encouraging word,
uh you know, because everybody understand. Hey, it's really about coming and sharing and just enjoying one another. And who knows. You know, you can make a new connection, or you hear something that create an inspiration in you. You know those things then And I'm telling you honestly, I like talking to everyone because see they say things to me that I'm like, oh wow, okay, I could take that and then build on that. Yeah,
yeah, no question. I hope that you can do this. Uh So last night a lot of the campers, guys, the coaches like Eddie and Pete had stories about lout all right, and there you know, some were funny, some were very inspirational. Edie talked about the time he tried to convince Lute about it something. Yeah, oh yeah, so that was
my story. Yeah, I it was a really tough time. It was in the very beginning, and you know, of course, when you're kind of getting to know people, you know it, you know, you run into some hardships. And but anyway, it was something that I had to deal with within myself, and I had some complaints and I said, you know what, Uh, Coach Osen called me to the office and he wanted to talk about it, I thought. But I was saying to myself, you know what, I know, Coach will understand what I have to say.
I'm good lay it all out for him. And once I got in there and he asked me what is going on, and he let me go in and talk and talk, and then finally he just said, listen, you do what I'll tell you to do, or you leave. So I said, okay, I guess I will do what he tells. Short conversation exactly think I'm telling hey, listen, man. Honestly, it was not very long because he sat there and he's like, I'm getting tired of this crap, but just do what I tell you to do at least. Okay,
So you walk out of the office and what are you thinking? Uh man, I kind of like tuck my tail and just said, I gotta figure another way. And then, you know, figure a way. And I'm like, I'm trying to I'm trying to accept it, but you know, sometimes it takes a minute to let that sink in. And and so I try to here's another part of the story. I did tell you. But so I called my mom and I'm like, you know, I'm up sin and I'm ready to leave here and come home and you know, and
then my mom was like, why are you coming home? There's nothing here? And I was like, yeah, I'm saying to myself, finally, you're not getting there. So I can't talk to you because you and I agreeing with me. And so then I called my coach right after my junior college coach, and I talked to him, and I thought that he would be the one who really agree with me and say and he just leaves, and he did not. He told me this one thing is it's always stuck
with me. And he said, and if you leave now, you will always be a quitter. Yeah, yeah, And that stuck with me, and I was like, wow, okay, now I gotta stick with it. Well, you know today's kid. And I'm not saying you want to wrap it all in one ball here, but that's what they're doing. They
don't like the situation, they just jump. Yeah, you know. Yeah, it's all about perspective, right, It's it's like what I think, what I'm hearing you're saying, is that they you don't give it a chance to stick it out and hang in there to see what kind of you know, results are gonna get. It's easy. Now, if I don't like something, guess what I leave? Right and uh and I and I look at myself and I said, had I left, look at what I would
have missed. I wouldn't be here talking with you guys now, sharing these you know, these experiences with the people. And I probably wouldn't end up going somewhere where I was totally unhappy. Right and then and then Eddie, I think you know you had that experience. But then as I think I looked when I looked you up on in the meeting, guy, you were captain that first year, right, Yeah, yeah, I was well, actually the first year, I don't think so the second year, you know,
they allowed me to join in and be co captain. Okay, uh yeah, but the first year I think I want to say it was probably Brock one of the guards or something like that. But anyway, yeah, that's that's pretty much that. So, Jay, you were here, I was not here. Eddie and and and Pete were together up there on the podium and I didn't know this. And it was kind of funny how the new guys had to blend in with the old guys, right, and the old guys were good dudes, but they were they were not very good.
They were beating down you talk about that, how you guys blended and sometimes it wasn't really good. Yeah, it was because if you kind of go back in history for those who know, you know, the previous team before we came in, they had some hardships. It was really bad. And
you know those guys who who stayed with Loot. Uh, that was what I'm going to call Team A. And then of course the new guys came here and myself, Pete, Steve Kerr might take you know, those guys, we were like Team B. And anytime that we played pickup ball in the very beginning against one another. It was like them versus us, and
uh it some days it got really bad. It was rough, and it was almost it almost kind of had that appearance like, oh, y'all supposed to be the the you know, the the good guys, the ballers, but look we're kicking y'all tails, you know, that kind of stuff. And so yeah, I mean, we had some some serious arguments and so I think that kind of carried on throughout into the season and eventually it, you know, it turned from two teams I call it Team a TV into
just one team. But it took some time because I mean, you know, as as with everything competitors, you actually have people at the time that didn't like each other, right, yeah, no, I hear you, and and again, and they've been through a tough time, so who knows what their attitude was because you wait, understand I will say this is that what I really appreciate and now that I can definitely understand, is that, uh, coach Olsen was very instrumental in bringing in, first of all,
the right guys. You know, it's kind of like that good to great you've got to get the right people on the bus first. And once you get the right people, then you get them into the right seat. And I think that that was the main thing. And so like you're saying even now, I hear you're saying about you know, kids moving, transitioning, transferring, whatever. You know, it takes people with winning attitudes and then you can work out everything else, you know, and everything doesn't always go
smoothly. So you know that first year we were a man, I don't know, I think we were won any eleven, two, any eleven, something like that. But as Pete said, you know we were never really blown out and blown out to us. I mean, you know that we lost five more than you know. We never lost a game in double digits, so that was a victory for us. And but then once you start you got one win, you start figuring it out. Oh this is what it looks like, so now we can do it again. You get a
second one and a third and so on. Well one of them did I always started going back and doing some of the books I did. Was the al Passo game. When you went to Alpasso, you played, and I think you were instrumental in that game, or you know, in that tournament. Yeah, it was. It was like, I think, a struggle trying to put it all together, to be consistent. And you know, we had a good I had a good game, and didn't have a good
game. I had a good game, and so on. And I think that's what what coach Olsen was really teaching us, Uh, you know, just to be consistent and continued to number one, you gotta know what winning looks like, and yeah he was. I mean, you know, I would say it's a transition for him, right because he came from Iowa and you're stepped in. When he first got here, he admitted early that he put his hands in his head and says, what the hell did I leave?
Hey, let's tell you something. Uh. Years later after you know, of course, we graduated all that kind of stuff, and we would come back for the like ludos and you know, kind of like alumni games. And I recall asking coach. I said, Coach Osen, so how long did you think that it was going to take to turn this thing around? And he said, oh, and I've seen maybe three to four years.
And I said, but coach, it only took a year, two year, a year, and he was like, yeah, yeah, it was that was incredibly fast, that very fast, but and it looked you know, you could see it, you know, I was. I was there as a spectator and you could see immediately and it was different. I mean I went to a bunch of those games under Ben Lindsay and you way understated it was. It was a it was a complete disaster and it was. It was a disaster of you know, sumone and Macavic proportions and basketball.
I mean, it was. It was awful. And you know, and you know, they all sudden they get loot and then you guys come in and the basketball immediately immediately just looked different on the court. You guys played a game and it looked like there was a place where everybody was supposed to be in, everybody knew what they were supposed to be doing. It was just very different. And for somebody who had sat through those games the year before, it was like, Wow, there might be something going on
here. And that's that's spectators saw that. Okay, Yeah, you know, I've only talked to people and I hear stories that I think if you were working on if you had a class or something, you would come over doing after class just to sit there and do your class work, because you know, people just learn't going to the games at all. But I remember that first year, you know, I guess to really kind of get a
kicked off. Coach Olsen did a very good job. He wanted to market us as a team to the people, to the community and say, hey, this is what we have, and you know, you know that kind of stuff, and we were actually the players would receive four tickets, you know, so if you knew somebody you invited them, Hey I have tickets, and uh, I remember that, and that first year, you know,
have four tickets and I would share with people. And then after that year it's like, uh, sorry, guys, there are no more tickets, right right? We got one more minute here or two Eddie. We talked about this last I too, you guys. Did you come here with you guys? You mentioned Steve Kerry, Michael Tate, Pete. But in the end, it's it's like you and Pete are attached it to hip. It are pretty much like brothers. It's uh, I guess energy I can't.
I mean, I don't really know all the right adjectives to describe it, but I just know that it's it's it's connected energy and believe it or not, Pete and I really never had a lot of conversation on the floor, but we talked through our actions and he would work hard and rebound. Guess what I did the same. But it was never competitive against one another. It was like competitive with each other. And uh yeah, if I played hard, if I ran the floor, he ran the floor, he
got one more rebound one game. Guess what I would try to do that to always to improve myself, not to try to beat hip right right, No, great times, great times there. Edie enjoyed the rest of the weekend. Thanks for coming on. Well, thank you, Jim. I appreciate just having me. Yes, enjoy take care, Okay, thank you for having a great day. Very cool, good mild matters. I like it. Yeah, but you know what, you talked to both him and Pete, and you understand why they did were able to do what they were
able to. Remember the third guy, Yeah, the fire that those guys have that was missing the whole the whole previous season, and you saw that immediately. Yeah, and then you mentioned we didn't or they mentioned the guy Michael Tate, who was fantastic town but he left left but he left yeah and uh, Pete and swears by it, and he stayed, wow, wow, Yeah. You know, all right, we're gonna take our break, we're gonna come back and we're gonna be doing the over unders for all
over under wins on all the Pac twelve teams. So stick around for that and Steve and I will let you know which way to go. Well, you're right back. If you're an Arizona men's basketball fan, you know it's been successful for nearly forty years. Now. I'll take a look back at

This is I on the Ball with Steve Ribera and Jay Gonzalez on the Box Sports fourteen fift days. Hey, welcome back to all on the ball here at Buck Sports fourteen fifty Young Steve Roberti's Jigazowska sid with us today. We're gonna get through some stuff. I could go take us
along. Yeah, we're gonna rip through these a little bit over under totals on win totals on all the PAC twelve teams, and so it's gonna do this for us. We did this last year and I think I don't think we ever win in telling the results were a'll do that at some point, and we will. We'll go through it. So let's let's do it this way. Let's go with the with the highest win totals and work our way down. How's that? Okay? Okay, all right? So the highest
win total in the Pac twelve is USC at ten. I'm not doing a lot of analysis on this. You you tried to in the last five minutes, so I'll start. I'm taking the under on the ten. I just have a feeling USC's gonna trip over itself a few times. And I think they're you know, I think there are a nine win team. They might get to ten, but I don't think. I don't know. I just I've just been against USC all along. So there you go. I got I got the under on the USC. I got the over. Yep,
I got the over. And just look at their schedule. How can they not go over? You know, I'm sure there's a game in there. They take Canada, they can't afford to lose. But I'm gonna go over with that. I like that one too. All right, over ten they played twelve, Yeah, they gotta win eleven over, Okay, said, I'm going under. I think that defensively, they have to prove that they can make stops. Yeah, that's the thing. I'm going with the fact
that they had like plus twenty two on turnovers last year. That was a lot of that was luck. And you know they in order for them to win their many games, they got to do that again. I'm thinking against it. So are you gonna keep yeah? Okay, right here, I want I want to see how will we do? Okay, and I'll go back and tell you last last year. At some point we'll talk about it later down the road. All right, Oregon nine and a half, I
don't see that happening. I'm gonna go I'm gonna go lower, you're gonna go under? Yeah, all right, I'm taking the over. What the only analysis I did was I got six hundred and six overs. Okay. I figure if somebody's gonna go under, somebody else has got to go over. I'm taking over on Oregon. I think Bonnix is gonna be really damn
good. I'm going I'm going over on Oregon, I think, and I think one of the keys to that is at the end of the year, I think they gonna beat Oregon State because I'm well, that gives me just what I'm doing with the organ State. So I'm going I'm going over on Oregon. I'm gonna go over as well. I think that rushing attack is gonna be back, and I think bon X will mix in progress. Yeah. I think he's just a damn good quarterback. I don't think he's Caleb
Williams, but I think he's really really good. It's nine and a half, right, Yes, I haven't met nine. Just going through a real quick another nine and a half, I'll take I'll go first on this one. No, Sid, you gotta go first. Washington nine and a half. I am going over with them. I honestly have them in my college football playoffs as it right now. There you go, because he analyzes this stuff. He's so so far and Sid and I are on are on on
the same page. I like it said, stay on his side of the I'm going over because I've been I've been saying, you know all summer that I think Washington is your PACTBAUL champion. So I'm going over six. So hey, you accounting ends nine, it's nine and a half. I'll go over. I'll go over. I'll go with the guys. Okay, all three of us are over on that one. Okay, Oregon State, Steve, what is it not? Eight and a half. Oh, that's tough because they're I'm gonna go I'm gonna go under. I'm not gonna look at
it. I'm gonna go under just because I'm biased against Oregon State and not purposely, but it's organ State. Yeah, I just don't think that they're They're that team that's gonna be You're thinking's gonna steal a win against them? Yeah, I do. And I also think Oregan's gonna beat them. But the reason the reason they got to where they got to last year because they beat Oregon in the in the in the we'll go to I'm gonna go under
as well. I think that they have to prove that they have a solidified quarterback and they have a transfer coming in DJ DJ you, so he's got to prove himself. Are you going under? Under? So let me say this, this league is gonna be very, very TOUGHNA be hard. They're gonna eat each other up. They aren't, So the over is gonna be very rare, right hard. You think that's it's gonna be rare, But I think, yeah, well again, I think if somebody's going under,
somebody else has to go over because somebody's getting their will of course. Okay, U c l a eight and a half. God's another biased pick me or you, I'll take it. I'm going big, big, big under. I think they win like six games. They got a new quarterback, they got new running back. You know, they're thinking about the Big ten. I think I think they're going big under, and I think Arizona beat them into soon go ahead. They do have a favorable schedule, so I
think they have one of the easier ones to pack full. But I think they're gonna struggle, but I think they find a way to get over. That's a tough and a half. Eight and a half, that's tough. Yeah, I'm counting eight right now. I'm gonna go over. I'm gonna go over all right, Okay. I mean this is the year that Chip Kelly does something with this team. Utah eight and a half, Steve, I'm gonna go I'm gonna go over. They're not gonna start with the quarterback
this week, this next weekend, right Florida. I don't know he's hurt. What's his name, Cameras. I think he's Camrad coming off said over, Oh man, I'm gonna go over. Florida sucks. I'm gonna go over. I am gonna go under. I think that. I don't. I don't want to bet against kylewadding Hamp but he's good. Yea three time Pack twelve champs, Tree Time Pac twelve champs. Yeah, I'm going over. I'm going over two time Pac twelve champs. I think Florida sucks.
I think they're still gonna win that game. It's at Utah Elevation and all that stuff. And then I think that I think that, uh, you know, by the time camerarizing gets around, they'll be really damn good. I think you take a two time pack game champ, but over it and a half, I think you just do all. Right. Now it gets tough, really tough, Washington State six and a half. I'm gonna go under. I'm gonna go under. Is how are these guys are gonna go
over? How are these teams gonna go over without teams losing, right, and this is one of those teams that I think gonna lose. Yeah, well that's one of my that's one of my overs. Where like I said, I did six hundred six over and I got to the end and I had two that I had to kind of decide and and I decided to take the over on that. Okay, I went under, right, Yeah, okay, Yeah, I'm gonna go under as well. I think they're gonna be They're gonna be in a lot of games about at the very end.
I don't know if they can pull those out. This is another one Arizona test to pull out to Washington State. Washington State, all right, Yeah, this is a game I don't I don't think they will. They could do it here with Delora Delora Plaine against the team here be fore. All right, Arizona State five. I think that's that's these That's why I really like this blow blow five below fire. Yeah, okay, I've got them
under as well, because I'm just I just you just have guy. I just don't have it in me to take over, as you I'm looking at their schedule, honestly, I see maybe three be too exactly. I love that, bet j I love that bet all right. Another one at five Arizona. That's another thing. Cal A issue has the same number of wins that Issue does, or you know, the same thing. Cal Arizona and at five, I don't see. I think Arizona is better than all those
teams. Yeah, so I'm gonna go I'm gonna go over. I already bet you, but now I would go over if this was a parlay, I would tell you right now where I'm gonna go with it. But I can't take an au and taking Arizona over a su under Yeah, and Cal under said, I'm gonna go over. And I think that if they do get over, it's gonna be because they win at Colorado. I think at Colorado is a must win for that Oh yeah they have for Arizona, Yeah, oh must yeah. Yeah. What about Oregon State and Washington State.
They gotta steal. They gotta steal something this year. They gotta steal a couple. Yea, all right, l I'm taking the under kel just because I had to take it under. Totally agree. Those are my three almost locks. Yeah, and again they you know, I mean, they don't have a quarterback there's just a lot of things that they don't have. I know, Justin Wilcox always has a great defense, but I just don't see
there aren't enough wins there for Kel. Yeah, I'm under for Kl's well, I think that they're in the rebuild right now and they're just so much uncertain around that project. We're gonna save the best for last. Okay, let's go Stanford at three. Go you guys go first. I'm gonna go under. Yeah, I think so too, so too. It's such a tough spot. I mean, the only two wins is hard. But they were so bad last year. I don't know they've got any players. They
don't get guys out of the transfer portal. I mean, it's just it's a tough gig. And then you got a first year coach and maybe the first year coach. I could see that. I could see them going one and eleven. So they play Hawaii first, and then they play Yes See, and then they play cs US and then the conference. Now they've got they've gotten uh, they've got an ordered Dame in there somewhere. Yeah, they aren't playing Order Dame. I don't see that. Yeah, I think
it's somewhere they play an Order Dame every year. Oh yeah, yeah, in November. But by that time this team will be it's the last game to the year. Alright, three hunders on that one. All right, three and a half Colorado. You know that's a tough one. And we talked about it already. What do you want, Dave, I'm going over. Yeah. I was just in Boulder this summer. I was visiting some friends. That that city's really gravitated towards it. But I think it's it's
gonna be a route awakening. I think under because of why, Because I think that in order to build a team, you have to you have to go through the tough parts. I think they'll go through the tough parts this year, but I think eventually it's gonna It's gonna work eventually, but I think they're gonna have to work through this season. I'm taking the over, Steve. I've been on the under for a long time. Brian, convince me. Can you see? Can you see? I can see it.
I'm watching them. They're gonna beat Nebraska, They're gonna beat Colorado State. They'll find another two wins in there somehow. Stanford, Stanford, the Stanford, uh Washington State. I don't think so. Yeah, they do at home, at home, at home. So that's three right there. Three and then they got they have uh, Washington State on the road, the August state on the road. Oh issue, I think they could be. I think it's over to I'm thinking, I really do. I think it's
some. I think at some point the Dion factor becomes it could come right away. You have people nationally thinking they can beat TCU. I don't think so either, but it makes for a good story, right, keep this, keep this because I'm interested. I've got I've got it, I've got it down. Of course, I got a spreadsheet on this time. What are you doing? A boulder and doesn't a whole field advantage. They're gonna
have a huge crowd, they're gonna be they're gonna be people. Friend and we went on a hike and you can't I mean, you can feel it. I was gonna say, you must have filed a little loopy when you were thinking about this. Yeah. Yeah, but beautiful city. I think that they're gonna attract a lot of players over there. I think that it's a good college town, and I think that eventually it's gonna work out for them. I think that Deon's in there for for at least three years.
We'll see how long it goes for him, but I wouldn't be surprised if he gets another gig after this one. Yeah, I yeah, it could be the NFL. Yeah, I mean, I mean yeah, it's just can you imagine de coaching in the NFL. Oh, we didn't think in coaching college. There's a there's a whole nother level of football that you gotta knows with a franchise. Come on, we see it here. Jetfish is doing it here. He's not. He's the CEO, he's not the I
know Steve, but that's what I'm saying. Deon is no celebrity. You apply your different rules for different people. Jet is that guy. Jed is not the coach. I mean, he's the coach, but he's not the coach. All right, Okay, we've give us up our time. We'll we'll we'll tell you all this stuff later, but we'll be back on Monday talk about the first weekend of college football. Thanks for being a great job. We'll be We'll see you tomorrow or Monday.
