Prof. Stéphane Schneider, heads the Nutrition Support Unit of the Department of Gastroenterology and Nutrition of l’Archet University Hospital in Nice (France) and the Nutrition and Food Liaison Committee of the University Hospital of Nice. He is also vice-president of the French-speaking Society of Clinical Nutrition and Metabolism (SFNCM) and ESPEN treasurer. He had a prominent role during the pandemic in his hometown, Nice, by designing the contents of a food basket delivered bi-weekly to more than 10,000 community-dwelling low-income older adults put at risk of malnutrition by the SARS-CoV-2.
