Optimizing is excellent, but some things are just not meant to be optimized, and friendships are one of them. When creating relational insurance, it's better to consider the long-term cost-benefit analysis. Making friends takes time because getting to know people well enough to call them close friends is a long process. Investing in people requires energy, patience, and above all, time.
