RICK COLE is successfully carrying the torch of his father Glen. The Father and Son have combined for 43 years as the Senior Pastor of one of the most well-known churches in the Sacramento area ... Capital Christian Center. You have seen it. Highway 50 near the Bradshaw Road exit. In this episode, we do a deep dive with the pastor.

In today's episode of Experience the Buzz, Host Steve Buzzard listens in and takes in all the wisdom shared by Cole. "I have been wanting to have this conversation with someone like Rick Cole. No matter where you are with your faith, we all accept that we have been something that has transformed in very large ways. We all need hope." Our conversation hits three areas:

SEGMENT 1 ✝️ begins with what is behind the legacy of Capital Christian Center. Pastor Rick Cole also shares the growth and success of Capital Christian School. We steer into what it was like facing Covid as a church. Really powerful stuff when Cole shares what his Covid takeaways have been.
SEGMENT 2 ✝️ kicks off with a son talking about his father. We get an in-depth look at Pastor Glen Cole (who retired in 1995 and passed away 10 years ago in 2012). The conversation transitions into the transition of Rick stepping in to take over Capital Christian Center after being in Nebraska where he led a church for four years. Cole, describes his 'turning point.'
SEGMENT 3 ✝️ is fun because Cole reveals the story behind the Capital Christian Billboard that you see on Highway 50. We finish off with Cole's 2014 experience where he decided that he would live with the homeless. It was supposed to be for one week. It turned into two weeks. Safe to say, it was life-changing and Cole shares what he learned from that experience. Oh yeah! He wrote a book sharing his experience. Cole gives us a glimpse into one of the many programs he has orchestrated called "Character Combine."

Our Connection | Wee have never met. I was inspired when I caught Rick talking about his homeless experience during a Bible Conference held at my home church, Bayside Granite Bay. It was one of those moments when I said to myself, "this is an interview I want to have."
