Following an unsuccessful attempt at going to graduate school in Prague, he settled down into his life back in the US and became a restaurant chef. At the end of 2019, he had just started a great new relationship with a woman from Turkey, but they were tragically separated in March 2020 at the onset of the pandemic. After several difficult months apart, Peter decided to leave his life in Denver behind for Ankara, Turkey at the height of the COVID-19 pandemic.
