Episode description

Steve Chen is a serial entrepreneur, co-founder of YouTube, and an early employee at Silicon Valley icons like PayPal and Facebook. In 2006, Chen and co-founders Chad Hurley and Jawed Karim sold YouTube to Google for US$1.65 billion. He later started internet company AVOS Systems.

In this episode, Steve shares his experience building companies from scratch in Silicon Valley, his foray into the world of NFT and cat videos, and how he’s building community in Taipei - where he’s lived since 2019 - connecting founders, engineers and funding to nurture the next generation of Internet companies.

This is part one of a two-part conversation.
