Episode description

In today's episode, we reflect on a powerful verse from 2 Thessalonians 2:15, where Paul urges us, "...to stand firm and hold fast to the traditions which you were taught by us, either by word of mouth or by letter."  This isn't just any tradition; it's the apostolic tradition, the pure message delivered in the first century, untainted by the passing of time.

We live in an era where 'change' is often dressed up as 'progress,' tempting us to abandon our foundations for something seemingly better or more modern.  But we're not about that.  We're about anchoring ourselves to the teachings that began with Jesus Christ Himself, passed down through His apostles, and entrusted to each generation thereafter.

As we navigate through the confusion and noise of the world, where everyone claims to follow Jesus but few truly live by His word, we must be vigilant.  Not every tradition holds the same weight.  Some are mere human inventions, while others are divine instructions meant to guide us closer to God.

Join me as we explore the significance of holding fast to the New Testament pattern, understanding what true tradition means, and discerning the difference between godly teachings and those that lead us astray.  We'll discuss the importance of fellowship, the beauty of acapella worship, and the humility required to walk in Christ's footsteps without seeking titles or earthly recognition.  It's time to stand firm, hold fast, and let the word of Christ dwell richly in us.
