Christ is our greatest source of satisfaction and hope in life.  Many modern examples of the so-called successful show that worldly success, wealth, and pleasures are not lasting or fulfilling.   Christ is greater than the manna that fed the Israelites in the wilderness.   Christ will feed our hearts when we surrender our little agendas and shallow expectations to God, and embrace the training that comes from God.   As one grows in this process, he or she discovers the paradox of peace and sacrifice in following Christ.
