As Christians, we face a constant battle against the forces of darkness that want to pull us away from God.  We can't afford to let our guard down or to compromise our faith.  We can't settle for a comfortable or easy Christianity that doesn't challenge us or cost us anything.  We must follow the example of Paul, who endured hardships, persecutions, and sufferings for the sake of Christ.  He didn't give up, he didn't give in, he didn't lose heart.  He pressed on toward the goal, he fought the good fight, he finished the race.  He was a faithful servant of God.  He loved God with all his heart, soul, mind, and strength.  Paul invites us to imitate him as he imitated Christ.  We can do that!  We can live with passion, purpose, and perseverance!  We can take up our cross, follow Him, no matter what, and finish strong!
