What causes Christians to sit on the sidelines and do little of nothing to fight the good fight (1 Timothy 6:12)? The answer involves much, but the solution is easier to identify. Inner motivation can often be found in falling in love with God with a burning passion that simply cannot sit idle. Motivation can often be found in being part of a local church family, being part of a team that shares a love for God and stirs up love and good works (Hebrews 10:24). Time is limited. The clock of life is ticking. We must seek first the kingdom of God while we can (Matthew 6:33). Thus, we fight the good fight daily in obvious ways and in subtle ways. We fence Satan in as much as possible, restricting his freedom to work his diabolical genius. The good news is that together we can make a difference.
