Episode description

Welcome to the International Fine Watchmaking exhibition - better known as the SIHH, a conference held annually in Geneva, Switzerland, where luxury brands worldwide premiere their latest watches, often the culmination of years of intensive research. The SIHH is also an opportunity for watchmakers and designers, the representatives of an entire creative team, to share their passion for watchmaking one-on-one. It is a private event for trade visitors only.

Who is Jean-Marc Pontroue?

Jean-Marc Pontroue was CEO of Roger Dubuis watches in 2016 and is currently the CEO of Panerai. Roger Dubuis joined the Richemont Group in 2008. Richemont owns several of the world’s leading luxury goods companies with particular strengths in jewelry, luxury watches, and writing instruments.

Some of the most prestigious names in the luxury industry such as Cartier, Van Cleef & Arpels, Piaget, Vacheron Constantin, Jaeger-LeCoultre, IWC Schaffhausen, Panerai and Montblanc, are owned by Richemont.

Roger Dubuis, at the SIHH in 2016, emphasized Fine Watchmaking for women and held a women’s-only event.
