Maulin Rathod a young 24 year old international student from Gujarat, Western India. Arrived in Melbourne to pursue a masters degree in accounting. He met 18 year old Jamie-Lee Dolhedgy through an online dating app, pleanty of fish. Who later strangled him with the cord of a sex toy. Was found not guilty of murder she was instead found guilty of manslaughter but due to substantial abuse suffered in her early life & mental health problems, she was only sentenced to nine years with a non parole period of five years & six months
