Audio Blog 006: The Smell Of Evil

Shafer Parker writes how fans of J. R. R. Tolkien's Lord of the Rings trilogy often remain unaware that he started writing a sequel he called The New Shadow. Tolkien gave up the idea after eight pages, but even in that brief effort, he succeeded in powerfully describing the spiritual malaise that afflicts generations that have never paid a price for the freedom and prosperity they enjoy. In doing so he well describes, whether wittingly or unwittingly, the prevailing moral and political climate in Canada and the United States. He also briefly explains the duty of those who remember what is eternally true.
