Episode description

Most officials, I know love, talking about plays, and the opportunity to get better. My partner and I were approached by a mother of a player on the winning team, who whipped out her phone and was real quick to accuse us of the worst call she’s ever seen. We click the dismissed her, and here’s what I wish, I did. I wish I paused, and slowed the entire situation down, and I wish I asked her if she was sure of the example she wanted to set for her six or seven-year-old daughter, who was in Tobey behind her. Myself as an official, and most officials, I know, are happy to review and talk about plays. A moment, it turns disrespectful, fans, parents, coaches, lose that opportunity
