Episode description

Seeing Jesus, Week 4 “The Good Stuff”

The Big Idea: Every human soul is searching for the good stuff and we find it in Jesus alone; not in people or in religion.

John 5:1-18

Every human soul is searching for the GOOD STUFF.

The Man and His Stuff:
His first four words reveal his heart: “I HAVE NO ONE.”
When confronted by the Pharisees he chooses his STRATEGY.
Jesus urges him to stop looking to MEN.

The Ugly Result of Religion: Man’s RULES trump God’s LOVE.

The Bold Declaration of Jesus: I and the Father are ALWAYS WORKING.

What this means to us:
RELIGION subtly becomes the saboteur of the good stuff.
The GOOD STUFF is ultimately found in Jesus alone.
The gift of Jesus is profound REST.
