Question: Why was Jesus baptized?
•He wanted to identify Himself with humanity: Fully God & fully man.
•He was worthy to be treated differently, but humbled himself.
Philippians 2:5-11
•To fulfill all righteousness in Him.
Righteousness (/dikaiosýnē “divine approval”) - refers to what is deemed right by the Lord
(after His examination), what is approved in His eyes.
Response: Respond in obedience to the prompting of the Spirit.
