Neil joined Vince to discuss the tragic events in Annecy where there has been a terrible shooting. The Paralympics have been absolutely wonderful and the British have done wonderfully well. A school headteacher has made a stand against bad behaviour in the classroom and Ryanair have had a couple of incidents involving flights from Madrid.

Why is the VAT at the Bullfights staying at 8% and goes up on other cultural events? Archbishop Tutu has made an attack on Tony Blair and Neil brings up the Falklands. The Olympic medals are flooding in for Team GB. Tom Daley got his medal for his dad and Mo Farah is now a wegend. We looked at the hard slog it is to get those medals and now the politicians are jumping on the bandwagon. However, whilst the PM is tweeting for more sport in schools the Education Minister is selling off the playing fields. Utter Hypocrisy!

The Olympic Games have begun and the wonderful Opening ceremony is the first part of today's show. First, we looked at the failure of the cyclists who had just won the Tour de France. From then on in a theme emerged with money being at the root of all evil. The world's gone bananas! This is about the EU sending help to the banana growers in Barbados. Then there's always somebody at the top being paid huge money for incompetence. This week it's the ex- chief of the UK Border Agency.
