The cosmic tide is turning

Welcome back to the Essential Astrocast. I am your host, Veronica Perretti, and this is the podcast you listen to when you want to know what's going on in the heavens so that you can dictate your fate down here on Earth. It is Friday, April 4th. It is a wild week. Really all of the action that is happening this week is happening today on Friday, April 4th. I'm gonna cover today, this week, and as well as next week. know that I recorded it on April 4th We are watching the stock market tumble.

we have this. Whole tariff trade, war situation, percolating. we had Cory Booker stand up for over 25 hours breaking the filibuster record on the Senate floor. There is certainly a lot happening and a lot bubbling up, and we expected this right because. Mars Station Direct. Several weeks ago I told you that as Mars moved forward, things would pick up pace while we still have Venus and Mercury. Retrograde, they will be turning direct next week.

We're already in that, period where we're feeling the station of Mercury retrograde because Mercury will station on Monday, April 7th. So we're already feeling the station. when Mercury stations, there's usually a lot of activity 'cause he's the messenger. So we got a lot happening now. When I first looked at this week, earlier this week, we had cosmic conversation on Monday.

So at the beginning of this week when we spoke about these transits, I kind of was like, oh yeah, like all this harmonious energy between Mars, Uranus, and Saturn. This is great. And on first glance. Yeah, it feels kind of great. You think that, oh, that's gonna be good. You know, sextiles and shrines are generally the flowing, harmonious aspects between planets, but you can never count out Uranus because he is, always delivering the unexpected.

And so, um, there's a few reasons that I think that these tariffs are. More shocking than we all anticipated, or really not we, but the people watching this and the people in financial services expected. Whenever there is Mars and Uranus join together, whenever they're conversing, whether it is harmonious or containing friction, I think you can.

Guarantee that there's gonna be something unexpected and something volatile doesn't always mean bad, but Mars and Uranus coming together creates electricity. It creates sparks sparks can be meeting your new best friend in the line to get a juice or a coffee and just being like, I hit it off with this person and we're gonna be friends for life. And it was just meant to be. Sparks can be having a fight. Sparks can be someone cutting you off in traffic and then you really let it go on them.

So sparks can be good or bad. Sparks can or sparks, right? Just like the planets move. The planets move. It's not good or bad. The planets connect with each other. It's not good or bad. We're working with the energy. The energy can manifest in a way that I like to say is high vibration. For our greatest good or it can manifest and we can choose to take the low vibration and it's not for our greatest good.

and you know, we don't always have control because we are human beings walking through the world. Each of us has free will and then other people have free will and their choices have an impact on us. So. All of that is to say that this is one of those weeks where I think Uranus is playing a very big role. And it could go either way. You could be having a great week or you can be having a really tough week.

I know some people are having really tough weeks and some people are having really great weeks and some people are telling me that this is the first time they've been feeling really good and are sleeping through the night again. And some people are telling me that, oh my God, so much drama. I can't take it. Wherever you lie on that spectrum, know that it is normal and it is uranium. so to get into the nitty gritty today, we're gonna take a trip into the nitty gritty.

So, you know, take a deep breath, big breath in, full breath out. Feel your feet, feel your seat if you're sitting. Feel your heart. Feel your chest. Feel your breath. Feel your tongue. Take a moment to swallow and just be here in your body.

And this is Aries season. Aries is associated with our individuality. Each of us is autonomous, is unique and has our own experience of this world. So Aries season is really a celebration of that. We are in spring. Spring is springing. We have the tulips pushing up through the ground here in New York. the cherry blossoms are just about to come out. We have little buds, so there is rebirth happening amongst us. This astrology is activated. It is an invitation to feel reinvigorated.

So as promised, let's get into the nitty gritty. Mars is trine Saturn today on April 4th. This is the third trine between Mars and Saturn. Mars is also sextiling Uranus, and this is the third sex tile between Mars and Uranus. And that is because Mars has been retrograde now. You might be thinking, all of these are harmonious aspects. This should feel really good. I should be feeling motivated again. That might be true.

You might be feeling motivated again, but Mars is also out of bounds and the moon is in cancer, and the moon is at out of bounds. So Mars and the moon are both out of bounds in the sign of cancer, which means that everything feels a little intense. With Mars and the moon out of bounds in cancer, things are emotional. So with this potential of volatility with Uranus involved, it might be feeling really emotional for you. So Mars trying Saturn, let's talk about that piece first.

previously Mars trine Saturn on September 30th and February 9th. when Mars try and Saturn, it can be helpful to slow down. You might notice that you get delayed. this can be often kind of helpful. it encourages you to take a step-by-step approach and not to cut any corners. 'cause you know, Mars sometimes likes to go forward at all costs, but with Saturn's influence, he's going to do things the right way. He's gonna do the step-by-step approach, moving toward his ultimate goal.

this is the opening trying. Of this Mars Saturn story that began with their conjunction on April 10th, 2024. So a year ago we had Mars and Saturn join together. And now we're having this opening trying and it's taken a little while because we've had Mars retrograde and Mars and Cancer for a really long time. So finally, these guys are.

Taking their time, getting to this third and final rine, and now Mars is gonna keep moving forward and sooner than later, Mars will be moving out of cancer and into Leo and then eventually out of his post retrograde shadow. I do have good news though, in a couple of days, Mars will. Go back in bounds. We've had Mars out of bounds for months and months, which is why Mars has felt so unruly and why things have just felt so off the charts.

I can't promise that things won't feel off the charts 'cause we have lots of big astrology this year. But I do think Mars coming back into bounds and then moving into Leo is going to be a welcomed. Fresh moment where we feel like we're just operating a little with a little bit more resources. Okay, now Mars is Sextiling, Uranus, Mars sex tile. Uranus can be electric. I mentioned this. It can offer us the unexpected. It can be really innovative, but it also can be really volatile.

The previous sextile between Mars and Uranus occurred on October 24th, 2024, and January 23rd, 2025. So you have been here before you've experienced this, but this is, you know, part of the opening. Of this story that began with Mars and Uranus conjunct July 15th, 2024, and you might recall what was happening then. We had a very high profile assassination attempt in Pennsylvania.

So that story is unpacking itself, and we will hear more about this story in the coming months when Mars squares Uranus. So, you know, we see what's going on. There's a lot of volatility, a lot of uncertainty, a lot of. sparks flying, for lack of a better way of putting it. Now the third piece of this puzzle is Saturn making a sex tile to Uranus. So Mars is talking to both of them and they're talking to each other.

Saturn sex tile Uranus is actually pretty interesting because it's been 28 years since this happened. The last time it happened was in Aries and Aquarius. And the closing square of this story was in 2021.

So we are in a closing of this Saturn Uranus story that began with their last conjunction in October of 1988. And I just wanted to look back historically and see what was going on at that time. And one of the things that I thought was so interesting was that actually on October 18th, 1988, the show Roseanne premiered on a, B, C. Now, I am not a Roseanne fan. I never liked that show.

I was obviously pretty young when that came out, but now they did a reboot of Roseanne called the Connors, and it's been on for like six years, I believe. And it is coming to an end like I think this week or the, I think it's the last episode, or maybe it's the beginning of the. End of the series, whatever it is. I only know that because I watched The View and they were talking about it. they had one of the actors on.

So, really interesting, right, that this is the closing sex tile After we have this. Closing sextile. we will be moving toward the next conjunction of these two planets. Saturn and Uranus are kind of like, they're similar in the ways that Saturn rules both Capricorn and Aquarius, but Uranus is the co ruler of Aquarius. Saturn likes to create boundaries and Uranus likes to break them and. They're strange bedfellows, but also inextricably linked thanks to their co rulership of Aquarius.

So kind of interesting that we're seeing that and we will have our, next conjunction. Between these two planets in June of 2032. So that's a while away. But we will have two more of these sex tiles, August 11th, 2025, and January 20th, 2026. So pay attention to what's going on right now. We are going to see this story continue to play out through January of 2026. Alright, so those are some of the things that are going on.

Some of the other things that were going on at the time that Saturn and Uranus joined together in 1988, I just thought were kind of interesting based on what's going on collectively and in the news right now. We had the, former president of the Philippines and the first lady. Ferdinand and Emelda Marcos, they were indicted for racketeering. we had, Gorbachev become the head of the USSR during that month and we had Israel and China sign a trade deal.

We also had a concert for Amnesty International, which was headed by Bruce Springsteen. so there was a lot of interesting things going on at that time. That are similar themes to what we're dealing with today, right? Talking about human rights, talking about corruption and government. talking about the USSR now, Russia, that was a big, you know, Gorbachev was a big presence on the news here in the states. Israel and China trading we're talking about trade wars.

Roseanne, that show was very much about, putting real people on television and real people's problems. And there was a focus on the quote unquote working class of America. And that is, once again, a focus that we are seeing in the collective. So just wanted to point some of those things out. I sometimes think the, the past tripping is. Really fun when we have an astrological lens.

Okay? So as we move forward, that's what's going on this week or this weekend, but we also have some really beautiful transits that are lovely. This weekend we have the sun sex tile and Jupiter, which is bringing in optimism and vitality. It is expanding and amplifying your optimism. Your faith and your feeling of vitality, your feeling of aliveness. I think this is really lovely and so needed right now. So Sunday is a great day to get out in the world and do the things that make you feel alive.

We also have Venus in a trine to Mars on Sunday, which is really beautiful for being social and relating with one another. Venus is. Exalted in the sign of Pisces. That's where she is. She is retrograde. We'll be feeling her even more intensely with, her stationing next week. So this is just a really nice day. It's a really nice day. Enjoy it. Enjoy those transits. Next week on Monday.

Mercury is going to station direct Pay attention over the next few days before the station and after the station. What is coming up, what is being said? What is being communicated? 'cause remember, God gave you two ears and one mouth for a reason. Communication means listening as well as speaking. So notice how people communicate with you. notice what you're hearing. Notice. How people communicate with their bodies.

The messages are gonna be really important as mercury stations as they always are. And Mercury stationing, fairly close to Venus in PIs. Venus will join with Saturn the same day. Venus joining with Saturn. this can feel restrictive generally when Venus joins with Saturn. This is a time where I would say don't make lavish investments. Don't be impulsive about changing your hair or, getting a tattoo or, buying something that's beyond your means.

Venus with Saturn can make you feel like you're second guessing or doubting your value. It can also make you second guess or doubt, your safety and security. And because of what is going on with. Everything in the economy, the markets, et cetera, what's going on in the news. please take a deep breath, feel your body. Remember that you are here, you are safe. hopefully you are safe. if you're listening to this, I hope that you are safe and secure where you are on the planet at this moment.

And, yeah, remember that because. Venus with Saturn can make us feel like we're grasping for that sense of safety and security. it also can make us feel a little bit doubtful about ourself and our appearance. So, you know, don't let it, let it go. Remember that this is, temporary, whatever you're feeling on Monday or around that date. On the eighth, we have Venus Sextiling, Uranus. So that is like, don't get a tattoo, don't get a new haircut.

don't throw out your clothes that you wear all the time because you're like, I feel frumpy in them. Like, just don't do anything Rash. on April 8th or around that date. and don't do anything rash when it comes to your investments. So yes, you're hearing all this stuff about the markets, you're hearing all this stuff about the economy. Don't do anything rash. That is the main thing I want you to take away from this podcast today. Don't do anything rash. Okay?

I apologize if you hear background noise. It is one of those days over here. Um, what is one of those weeks over here, truly. Okay, Venus. With Uranus, I said that you don't wanna do anything erratic. You don't wanna do any, you don't wanna take any investments that are, too crazy. But it will be helpful for perhaps sparking some of those venous retrograde ahas because Venus is still retrograde. She will station to go direct on Saturday the 12th.

Speaking of Saturday the 12th, the same day Venus goes direct, she will be the ruler of the full moon in Libra. We'll have a full moon at 23 degrees Libra, and that will be happening at 8:22 PM Eastern Time, and this will be the end of Eclipse season. with that, I will talk a little bit more about the Full Moon next week, but just know that this is a lovely full moon that will kick out Eclipse season and really round out this story that we had with the nodes in Aries, in Libra.

Because now of course the nodes are in Pisces and Virgo and we've worked through a lot of relationship stuff. And then we went through this venous retrograde and we worked through a lot of relationship stuff and perhaps worked through some body image stuff, perhaps worked through some money stuff, and this full moon is kind of like an apex of that energy.

Celebrating all of that work we did, bringing it to a point, illuminating all of those Veian themes and releasing it, letting it go, moving forward.

I will hopefully talk to you, on or around April 14th. That will be Easter week and the week that the sun enters tourists. So keep enjoying this airy season. I know that it's been really wild. We've had so many big, big shifts. We had the eclipse season. we're still coming out of that Mars retrograde hangover.

We have had mercury and venous retrograde. We just had Neptune move into Aries on the 30th. I talked about that last time. Neptune and Aries really has us feeling like it's time to rise up for what we believe in. Cory Booker, that's really interesting. He has Venus retrograde in Aries. Venus Retrograded, right on his. Natal Venus. So that's why we're seeing him stand up and be the brave one.

Because sometimes the thing about Aries is that we, I say this 'cause I'm an Aries, we get a bad rap for being very selfish. You know, we're like the infants of the zodiac. It's all about me. But Aries, the highest vibration of Aries is being able to raise your hand and say, I'll be brave. I'll go first. I'll show everyone else that it's not that scary that they can do it too.

that is one of the most beautiful things about the fire signs in general, is that we tend to, have the courage and the spirit to stand up and let other people know that, hey, you can stand up too. So that's where we are. Tomorrow is a nationwide day of protest. I'm hoping to make it out there. There is one. About 20 minutes away from us and another one about 30 minutes away from us.

if you are out there, please be safe, be careful, take care of yourself, take care of the people around you, and just be really mindful because all this Mars, Uranus, even though there's good stuff happening right now, these should be enjoyable transits, Uranus. sparks flying and sparks can ignite fires.
