In 1978, four Burger Chef employees go missing along with $500. Days later, their bodies are found - two had been shot, one brutally stabbed, and the other beaten to death with a chain. With no physical evidence, the case files collect dust, and remains unsolved to this day.

In 1879, Esther Cox finds herself in the middle of a dark paranormal situation. When things go from innocent noises, to physical injuries, Esther and her family realize there is no escaping the dark forces surrounding her. The curious case became so publicized, it earned the name The Great Amherst Mystery.
