Episode description

House Speaker Nancy Pelosi spent today making a plea to democratic caucus members to pass Biden’s “Build Back Better” framework but with too many down votes for the bill to pass a formal vote has been delayed. Currently, the bill includes billions for home care, extensions for child tax credit, two years free pre-K, and $500+ billion in clean energy incentives. Biden noted nobody got everything they wanted, including him, as he leaves for the G20 summit in Rome.

A criminal complaint alleging a sex crime has been filed against former New York Gov. Andrew Cuomo. The misdemeanor charge in connection with the complaint dates back to an incident at the governors mansion on December 7, 2020. Cuomo has repeatedly denied the allegation of sexual misconduct against him, allowing that he made mistakes, but always insisting that the more serious accusations were untrue.
