Episode description

The United States Capitol security is on high alert as former President Donald Trump's impeachment trial approaches. Democrats and Trump's team will have up to 16 hours, the the span of two days, to present their case. On the eve of the impeachment trial, Qanon believers remain convinced that Trump will be back in office within weeks.

Trump's team argues that when Trump said to "fight like hell" did not incite the riots. An ex-White House official says that Trump was "loving [to watch] the Capitol mob." Sources are saying that Trump is telling his aides that he believes that he'll be acquitted and that he's fixated on punishing the GOP representatives who voted to impeach him.

An alleged Capitol rioter says that Trump is an "unindicted co-conspirator." Two alleged rioters are arguing that Trump is the reason for the Capitol riot violence on the eve of his impeachment trial. The youngest riot suspect, an 18-year-old that is accused of shoving the police outside the Senate chamber, has been charged recently.

GOP representative warns of "chaos" if the GOP does not take a stand when it comes to Trump.

The Georgia secretary of state has launched an investigation into Trump's phone call request to "find" votes that would overturn the presidential election.
