We check in with Simone Robyn Sharpe from George who completed a triathlon on her 31st birthday recently: a 3.1km swim, a 31-mile cycle, followed by a 31km run. She did it! Simone tells us about the experience - emotionally and physically - and how the fundraising efforts are going. BIG word of thanks to eRadio listeners who donated. She raised a whopping 26k!
About Simone:
Simone is a cancer survivor herself and raising funds for CHOC - the childhood cancer foundation that assists children with both cancer and life-threatening blood disorders, as well as the PDSA (People's Dispensary for Sick Animals), which treats and cares for sick/ injured animals whose owners cannot afford the cost of private veterinarians.
What a remarkable young woman!
