A small step forward is always a step in the right direction, however small it may seem.

It can have a huge impact on building your confidence and quite literally take you by surprise, depending on where you feel you were the day before.

It's great to have goals and get inspiration from other people but never compare yourself to someone else's achievements.

Your own step forward is just as important as anyone else's and it is always a team effort when you're working alongside your horse.

So have fun and never underestimate any achievement from your horse, as well as yourself.

Best wishes
Ronnie

What a beautiful, beautiful day. It's really still. There's very little brain. There was fog this morning, but the sun's come up and then most of that away but there's a bit of a haze it's beautiful. It's really peaceful I'm with my horse in a paddock and listening to the birds, watching the birds, the Robbins, there's quite a few Robbins around and it's lovely it's just really peaceful. It's lovely.

Which is nice because a few days ago it was so windy, my horse Toots was yeah not very good with that. All her companions have moved away. My friends moved to away, which is really lovely for her but she's taken all the horses obviously. And Toots has been missing them. So although she's not running around and calling apart from the first day, she's missing the companionship, so she's on alert but when it's quiet and still she's okay, she's okay.

It's just, when it's really windy, there's been a couple of weeks now, so she's getting used to it. And we've been going out for walks. So I decided to take her out for a walk not long after the horses went and I thought I'm just going to take her out.

And because she's in a slightly different place, it was easier just to open the gate and go and I was obviously in the right mindset because she just followed and it's like, she's looking to me rather than the horse, not all the time I hasten to add. so I was really proud of her and then we'd just been literally going out of a comfort zone is going out of the gateway, although she's out all the time, 24 7, she's been in her own little comfort zone in, in the field you know, next to a companions.

So going out was really brave of her and I was so proud of her. And today we went a little bit further and it's a perfect day, there was nobody around, it was really still and I was so proud of her, so proud of her.

So when she's going to keep building on that but it's funny how I know horses are sensitive to the slightest change, slightest changed, even when they look calm, Toots especially but you can see her eyes on stalks sometimes but actually going out for a walk, it was like, no, I want to go out and she's at the gate waiting. Now if it was blowing and there was lots of noises around then a probably wound'nt have done it, so I'm just sharing that really because I am, I'm so proud of her.

So even though I can't ride her, I want her to still have little adventures that's my plan, anyway I thought I'd share that. So hope you're having a good day with your horses yes and remember it's not always the big things that you know, should be proud of, of your horse, it's little things. I was tempted, in fact I was tempted to go around the block again because she was so good and I thought, no, because she was good, so actually that's fine.

So we went a slightly different way, another track and then back round, but not, not a long one I want to come back with that positive experience. So yeah, but it is tempting when you having fun and it's going the way you hoped that you just do it again or do a bit further but it can sometimes undo things and then if it knocks your confidence, you might not do it again.

So just remember that the tiniest things, the tiny shows in your relaxed state, so we've know she was looking around, she was attentive, her energy wasn't blowing in his snorting and lookingaround, it was looking around because that's what horses do. There was a different inner energy but then mine was too and as I'm sure you know, I definitely do that. The slide has changed in your mindset and your breathing can make a big difference.

So have fun, I have a lovely weekend and catch it with you soon. Bye for now.
