253- What do you believe?: Success Secret #4 with Dr. Shannon Irvine

Have you ever been told “fake it till you make it?” 

This concept is related to Imposter Syndrome and leaves you feeling inadequate, helpless, and full of doubt. When this mindset is adopted, it perpetuates thought cycles of not deserving success and not being knowledgeable enough. So much so that we feel that we need to resort to “faking it.”

It’s not your fault. 

You are enough. 

The way you currently believe is not your fault and I want to help you rewire those thoughts toward success. Your brain has to believe it in order to achieve it. 

This belief isn’t a “fake it ‘till you make it” sort of belief, but a genuine, sincere brain-based belief. 

You can rewrite your story and what you believe about success and money. It all starts with your brain and the thought patterns that are on auto-pilot. 

The biggest take-aways from today’s episode are:

• You did not choose your story. It is not your fault. Your brain believes what gets repeated. They were created for you, not by you based on your family and environment. The brain stores repetitions as automations. It is not your fault that you don’t believe yet. 

• Brain-based belief is how you change that story. Your brain needs to see it before you believe it. No one is going to believe for you or out-believe you. It has to start with you. What is your story for success? What are you allowing yourself to believe about money? Rewiring your brain’s automations will accelerate your success and allow you to leave a lasting legacy. 

• Listen to the resistance that comes up in your mind. That will be the clue as to where the thoughts are on automation. You need to decide, today, what your story will be. Decide in advance. 

Sit down with a piece of paper and write out any of the stories that have stopped you from living out your passion and purpose. Then I want you to write the story that you're going to decide in advance to believe. This will give you complete freedom and permission to believe the story you want for your life.
