Yes , this is how I punish Mitch . With this movie , I pulled up his IMDb for the past 10 years and just randomly put my finger on one and it was pay dirt .

So was it bad , Mitch ? Yeah , it's like . You know the Jason Statham heist movies .

The Guy Ritchie classics .

It's kind of like one of those except for with actors that you've never heard of , except for Val Kilmer , who can no longer really talk .

Yeah .

There's this you have the bald Brit guy , which he's like the ringleader of this little group of people . Yeah , and basically you have a bunch of dummies and some eye candy , like you have two girls that are good-looking and whatever . You have your stereotypical characters of you know , like the Mexican cartel .

Yeah , you got the bimbos , you got the British swarthy people .

You got the one smart guy and the one really buff Like he's the fighting guy . What is Val Kilmer in all this ? He's a sheriff that arrested the Brit guy . He's just kind of in the movie . There's no real reason .

He's not the main actor , no , he's just there .

He's the guy that arrested the Brit at the beginning and then the Brit gets out of jail and does this heist and he's stealing stuff from the bank . No , it's from the jewelry store .

The drug cartel . Drug cartel yeah , he's stealing drugs . Yeah , well , he's stealing drugs .

Yeah Well , he's stealing the money that they used to buy all the drugs from the cartel .

Okay .

There was like 30 million that he hid when he went to prison , and now he's going to get it .

The cartel's been looking for it the whole time he's been in prison . He should have invested in Bitcoin .

Yeah , the entire movie while they're in the desert .

Doesn't he have , because at one point he had a voice modulator implanted into his throat and he has , to like , push into it in order to talk .

Maybe that's because he always did have his hand close to a scarf , so maybe that's what he was doing . I couldn't tell , but it didn't sound like him .

When you fly , you're unsafe .

Whenever you saw Kilmer , it was always like quick cuts to him and then back to the person , so like they were trying to hide it . You can tell the speech problems . The action scenes have you ever seen ? Like you know , when it's like low CG , when you pull the trigger and you see the flash .

Oh yeah , but there's like no recoil , right , it's like you can tell they're competent .

Yeah , they just like to add in the sound and the flashes of the gun Like in the Sopranos .

Yeah , wow .

And then , for whatever reason , they left this movie open for a sequel .

Did they really ?

Yes , why ? I don't know .

Well , did it do good ? No , oh , okay , it was like direct-to-DVD kind of thing .

Oh , I didn't see what the rating of it was , just like some . Here's a story . Put it out there , make whatever money you can off of it , kind of movie .

Yeah , I knew that Val Kilmer had kind of fallen off the wagon with films lately , but I didn't think it was that bad .

It's apparently that bad .

But it's the third , it's the best of the three there's three . Well , the best of the three movies that I had to watch .

Oh , okay , because .

I expected this one to be bad .

The next one was Home Sweet , Home Alone which you've seen .

Is that what I punished you with ? Yes , okay .

And it was on Disney+ . You would think Disney would have a little better quality in what they're putting out there , but it was just some bratty kid that you know . Basically , they thought he stole this doll from these people that was worth thousands of money .

Yeah .

So these people go to try and get it back and come to find out he didn't steal it . So this whole movie could have been avoided if the people weren't just stupid .

Right . At some point do they discover the true meaning of Christmas .

Kind of .

Yeah , it was somewhat of a Christmas movie , I thought on paper it was an interesting concept because it wasn't like Kevin McAllister's trapped in his house with two evil crooks . It was more like two normal people are stuck in their house trying to work with an evil , devious kid .

Like Dennis the .

Mess .

You're stuck in here with me . All the stuff was done . He didn't really set any traps , it's just a bunch of random crap that he had thrown throughout the house anyways .

Yeah , and the kid actor wasn't great . No , he was annoying .

But yeah , the protagonist , he's the kid . Like I wrote down here , it said the kid needs a beating . Yeah , he does the forced connections to the original film , like with the older brother as a cop now he's like oh yeah , the Macalester security system . Don't worry about it .

That burrito scene where he's just like closing on his mouth like dropping burrito things all over himself .

Yeah , it was gross . I'm glad I didn't watch this .

I'm glad you did Even the director of the original Christopher Columbus . Well , chris Columbus said that he was not a fan of this movie .

That's fair . I mean , that's the guy who directed Home Alone and , like two of the Harry Potters , he didn't direct the original Home Alone . John Hughes directed it , he wrote the script .

Yeah , I just know he was included in it . Yeah , I mean Pay Dirt . I expected to be bad , so I considered it not as bad as this because Disney made this . It should have been better . They have a quality of standard they should aim to achieve .

What year did this come out ? Last year ? Oh , really , yeah , does this .

Have the Disney stamp on it , like their production studio on it .

I don't know , it was on Disney+ .

They're probably too busy with the Book of Boba Fett .

It premiered on that , so which is okay , but yeah . And then , lastly , I had the beast of yucca flat , which was my own punishment I saved for y'all yeah , I watched that with .

Yeah , you saw that it was pretty bad .

At the very beginning of the movie there's this unnecessary implied rape scene . That has nothing to do with the rest of the movie .

It's just there , it's just there yeah . It's like here's some rape and now we're going to get on with the plot .

The beginning of the movie starts with you're in the eyes of the killer as he's walking towards this woman in a towel , who he chases in , lays her down on the bed and just chokes her to death , and then it just kind of fades to black .

I read that the director wanted the rape scene to be in there and they pushed really hard because this was in the 60s , right . And they pushed really hard to have nudity because they thought that it would sell better . You know , okay , that and the rape and stuff like that .

Yeah .

So apparently , at one point it was way even worse .

And in this movie you never see anyone talk . Right , there's no audio in this movie . No audio was filmed while this movie was filmed All the audio was added , later Called an MOV .

They don't take any audio recording to the set when they record .

And I can show the people that sync up the sound with the video a thing or two , because you'd be like you'd see a gun recoil and stuff and then you'd hear the shot go out after the gun .

That's not how that works .

You'd just see the gun recoil and just and then to hide the voice actors . You would hear people talking and you'd see them from shoulders down . You wouldn't see their face , They'd just be talking to each other .

It was like Cow and Chicken , where they show the parrots and you never see the face . Yes , exactly , you just hear voices .

It felt like a weird documentary , but it was boring and you didn't understand anything of what was going on .

Yeah , you had a narrator for like half the scenes and he was like narrating things , trying to sound philosophical .

Like the Twilight Zone narrator , yeah , but it was terrible . But yeah , his stuff , that was a great narrator .

This guy made no sense of what he was talking about . Supposedly , they said this movie inspired the character the Hulk because this came out and then , like a year later , the character of the Hulk for Marvel came out .

But this film was also featured on Mystery Science Theater 3000 .

Oh , that probably deserved it . That's probably a better movie .

But it's all black and white , like they're going to chase after this guy that was in a nuclear blast and he's like this , really big , you know , almost looks like the kingpin kind of size guy and he's walking around in like this disheveled shirt .

it was like 70 minutes , right , but it felt like three hours .

It's all black and white . You have no idea what's going on . And then you have to listen to this horrible audio that they dubbed in every now and then . I even missed one part where they actually call the kids one name . They're like Billy Johnny , and then later on in the movie they're like Max Johnny .

It's like what happened to the other kid , what happened to Billy .

They just decided to change it .

Yeah , they were bad , really bad .

Well , clean slate , mitch . You enjoyed your holidays with you know this content that are .

With a triple punishment for getting taken to the cleaners . No , I was only like .

In the end I was only like what ? Six or seven behind
