So let's go ahead and kick this off . We got some social media to do from Mitch and then some listener questions that we'll address shortly after , and we'll quickly go through our news and reviews and then do a more episode balance towards trivia , because that's our feedback that people are enjoying the most .

He was asking see about what is impressions were of the new Call of Duty , caldera and updates .

Yeah , it sucks , don't . Don't download , it sucks , play something else . Even though we played it last night , we won two games .

We didn't win two games . Despite all the glitches and stuff suchiness the like . Your biggest issue with the game right now , tom , is what ? The guns that you can't use from your low , I pick up a gun and I can't see it .

It's not on my screen and then when it does , it glitches , so it looks like an obsidian , like mosaic of spikes that I'm holding in my hand that takes up most of my screen .

Can't see anything but I do appreciate you picking it up so that when you drop it , I can pick it up and use it and for some reason it works for you and it boggles my mind .

Yeah you're too good , tom yeah , parachuting in .

I can't see my hands . I don't know how fast I'm actually falling . The shoot auto poles , for reasons unknown , at random . Have you researched attitudes ? Why it's only you like this are not probably just having a lot of people so is there a way to fix ? It ?

I have no idea you just haven't looked into it , I don't know . I mean , I think it's fair that it's you , because you're the best player so I'm having to play with a handicap . Yeah , and you're still better than me , which is the only game I have like 11 kills yeah so I don't know hidden .

Still can't hear where audio is coming from .

I never could yeah the audio still sucks when I play Halo , everything makes sense . Okay , I know where people are , I can understand things , I know how the ? Guns work fine and I can hold my own halo call of duty , I feel like an old man .

Yeah , a video game for the first time and you know it really grinds my gears . Huh , how in the old one , yeah , with climbing the rocks , you just stand there and look at a small ledge that's up to your shin and your characters like nothing I could do , can't pass go , can't collect $200 , we're done , right , you have to find another path . This game .

we just avoid it . We go to flat places like the beach or whatever yeah , we go to the outskirts of the island , so if you want to kill us somewhere , that's where we're at . So we also got buzzers for this trivia that we're going to do today , so we're going to introduce those now . Here's my buzzer .

So you immediately hear it first people were complaining that they couldn't tell who chimed in and we would just yell answers . So they don't know who see , I figured . Whoever answered first , people would just have assumed they must hit the bus now we got to compete with , just like if everybody pushes their buzzer at the same time when it sounds like ready one .

This is a show that a lot of youth think you dreamt about , but it's actually real . Ass . You , mcgee , is a pair of talking ass cheeks wearing a shoulder holster , knee high socks and shoes that walks backwards . It sounds like Sylvester Stallone who had a stroke . Who's like chief ?

does he randomly fart every once in a while ?

oh , yeah , they sprinkle it in galore . Features H John Benjamin is one of the voices who you know , that's that he's the voice of Archer .

Yeah , he's from Bob's Burgers . Bob's Burgers home movies and he did the subway commercials for this .

Yep , okay so he's sprinkled in there somewhere . I don't even know who any of the other voice actors are , easy as him a G .

I don't know , should research this I look , I don't know who he plays . I bet you I can Google it in five seconds . All right , let's see . No , no , no , you keep reviewing .

I'll go . So the episodes are really short . They're like 10 to 15 minutes because it was back when , like adult swim would do like you'd get two shows in 30 minutes with like a commercial . So like the intro to the show is actually a very Murphy , very Murphy , larry , larry , murphy , five seconds . Barry Murphy's brother , larry , yeah .

But adult swim apparently takes everything .

I know people who have shows and adult swim and yes , we've interviewed people on this show who were voice actors on adult swim shows .

When one of them is an actor on a live action . So , yeah , we got . We . Actually we had two people . That's right , I forgot about that .

We're . We're like a weird adult swim fandom I guess , so maybe oh no , is our content for people who listen ? But this is this show aired on the point of adult swim , when you had fallen asleep Watching to Nami and the TV didn't turn off .

is really like groggy , like a two in the morning .

I watched three episodes . They're not good . I mean collectively took me half an hour to get through all them , cuz they're like 10 minutes .

Would you call it a punishment or did you actually enjoy it ? No , I liked it .

I was dying . I was like this shows amazing . There's one scene in particular he's yelling at this dude and you saw the clip where he gets in the guy's face and he's like in , like his . The dude's shoulder goes between his butt , cheeks and it His voice it's . It was of course .

Of course you enjoyed that . It was pretty funny .

If I had to rate it , I give that show like a six out of ten , depending on how inebriated I was or what time of the night it was .

It was on TV , but it was old by the time .

Hey was like I'll just watch one episode or one season a month . I was like then you'll be three months behind .

Yeah , so I just got to start cranking them out . I mean , I don't know , that's all I was thinking about while I was getting my body ripped open was like how am I gonna finish supernatural in a year ? But uh , yeah , so we're . We're slowly pedaling through that . Tom has even started my challenge for him , which was massive .

I have a full-time job , and watching supernatural is also a full-time job .

James Bond and then the Halo story franchise right , I wish I got a job watch , because I would have seen every single one of them .

So far I've played half of Halo reach , because that's where the story starts out , and then I've watched one of the James Bond movies . You haven't started any of the Batman games yet , have you ? Well , you said you have it for me ?

God . Mitch the only one that's on game pass right now , for because I was one . Yeah , I don't pay money for it , so all right . So that's our update on our yearly Challenges . We're moving along with that . Okay , who had movies ? I did Mitch .

I went and saw this movie that I think a lot of people have seen . Spider-man no way home , oh yeah , I heard about it .

Yeah , I went . So that was y'all .

Yeah , right , and then twice before y'all saw it .

This is not a side .

So three times in four days .

Try to like hide it .

No , I just wasn't gonna say anything because I didn't want to ruin the movie , yeah , but uh , I mean , if you haven't seen it by now , then you're just gonna get spoilers here it comes out to well . I won't tell too many spoilers , but it comes out on February 28th actually for digital download .

Oh , does it ? Yeah , okay , 1999 , so it won't be on Disney plus . Well , it's a Sony thing right , so but it's .

But you'll be able to buy it through like Amazon and stuff like that .

I gotta say , though , it felt Not like a Disney movie right , it felt more Sony but , honestly , it kind of worked .

I like .

I liked it a lot to how different it was in the typical MCU crap but I really like the fact that you see , like you've watched .

If you've watched the other Spider-Man movies with Tom Holland , you've seen him grow up and in this one he finally like you know he feels like he grows up into Like , but yeah , yeah , he doesn't . You know he's out of school now . He's going off to college , you know , for the movie and it's pretty good .

It's all over the Facebook and the internet and all that stuff if you don't know I don't know how you avoided that Just go ahead and put in the thing for our description for this episode .

There's spider-man spoilers . Yeah , so yeah but , I put in a timestamp for to skip to it .

It was really cool just to see the movie and to see them brought back , like because they were willing to come back . So we're all the villains that they brought back with the movie , all the actors . It was really cool just to see them back in there and working together like yeah , movie .

I feel like they pitched it to all of them , like all them , just like , look there right away . Yeah , we could totally do that . That'd be awesome .

I'd watch that movie apparently Andrew Garfield was like like super into it . I think he always felt like the his franchise was a failure .

Yeah , he kind of got shafted where because because Marvel wanted to get in on the spider-man stuff , so he just lost out on his like third movie .

Yeah , and he seems like a pretty pretty cool chill guy you know and he's respectful .

Isn't he getting a third movie ?

He is yeah , they've , they've pretty much now .

They confirmed it . Oh , they did confirm Sony's confirming that he's gonna get his third movie .

Okay , which is very strange , yeah , yeah , but it's supposedly like he's in the the venom kind of universe . Okay so that's where venom , when venom goes back , and there's rumors that the Morbius movie that was supposed to come out this month he got moved back to April and there's rumors that they're including him in some reshoots .

But Morbius is in what universe ?

He'll be in the same one as venom and Andrew Garfield .

Okay , so the only thing that has officially crossed over now that the Spider-Man 3 movie is over is that little bit of symbiote symbiote .

And then they , in fact , they included Daredevil . That's true .

Yeah , that was awesome , yeah like where he just catches the brick , and they're just like how'd you do that ? I'm a good lawyer , yeah .

So that's pretty cool that they included those . I really like the way they brought in some of the villains and they kind of gave them a little bit of spotlight too , which gave them more , a little more character than what they had .

They did things right . They listened to the actors , because the actors , I think , in dealing with those characters , for the past 20 years , would know how To fix the issues , because all they heard from fans is like probably the crap they've been getting , like Green Goblin with Willem Dafoe is like dude , that mask was stupid .

Electro comes back as a normal person instead of just blue .

Everybody wants to see Jamie . Oh , jamie Foxby a badass and he was . He was just like this weird Dweedy guy , like he had me , had his own demands to come back and they listened to him . So , yeah , yeah , and I didn't .

Oh , he did .

I think so . I know he did the Garfield ones .

Okay , I was happy to see Tubbie McGuire , because that was yeah , that's my Spider-Man .

He looks old yeah .

He was looking a little old .

Yeah , he was he was a war ravaged . Spider-man . They were very tasteful with that too . Like you know he , you could tell that he had aged with that character as well , you know . So it was nice to see him just be an old man who was a Spiderman . So .

I mean there's not a whole lot I can tell you about the movie that you probably haven't already seen . It involves like the multiverse and everything like that and all of them coming together to fight the villains . It's really neat . They kind of included the meme of where the all three Spider-Man are pointing each other as part of the movie .

Yeah , but they're not wearing their masks . Yeah , they're kind of made . I wish they were .

Well , they're all standing there . I thought you're Spider-Man . You're Spider-Man one , you're Spider-Man two . Yeah , yeah yeah , you're Spider-Man three . Yeah , yeah , but it was pretty cool . Right now , the movie is at 8.8 on IMDB .

Yeah that's fair , yeah , in the opening weekend it made 260 million . It's already at a billion , isn't it ?

Yeah , it's at 1.5 billion right now .

Yeah , they're . Tom Holland's going to be busy for the rest of his life .

I mean actually , I want to say I want to say this past weekend it was still the number one in the box office with like 30 something million .

Because there's crap . That just came out .

I mean there's nothing .

Everybody Spider-Man .

Everybody . They hit this weird mark where COVID was like not that big of a deal , where people were willing to go out and risk and everybody was burnt out and being holed up in their houses . And then now the Omicron thing is crazy again . Everybody's like hiding back in their houses

And also Spider-Man . Yeah , it's like remember the other Spider-Man . They're in it too . Yeah , it was a good movie , going experience .

I got to say like I hate movies that cater to fan service . But they did it the right way , if you want a movie that does fan service like good , tastefully , yes , this is . This is probably the best way to do it as opposed to like Force Awakens or something stupid .

Between this in game and the Zack Snyder Justice League . They're all three like my top three movies . It's hard to rank them , yeah , but those are . Those are my three . Instantly made it to the top three of my favorite superhero movies .

It was very well done . It'll be interesting to see what they do with the Spider-Man franchise . You know , I know that Disney is probably kind of pulling their hair a little bit because they really wanted to acquire the Spider-Man rights and now that Sony is making I think they make more than Disney off of those movies .

But they are the deal , yeah , but I mean they get to use the Spider-Man and everybody makes money , but they don't they don't get to keep Spider-Man , which is probably why they're .

I would assume they're frustrated , but whatever .

So he's like we're just going to keep on . The Spider-Man is ours .

That's kind of all they got , though I mean Venom's not .

I mean , they got like the most popular Marvel character of all time .

Yeah , yeah , let's see what happens .

I mean they just Does Sony still have no Fox the headaches men , that's right yeah .

That's all that's on Disney Plus now . Yeah , yeah .

But anyways , I'll move on . Everybody that's probably seen this movie . You know you like it . If you haven't seen it , you definitely need to . Even if you're not a superhero fan , it's a good . It's a good film just to watch and enjoy it's . It was just a good film in general , I think . But I'll move on to my news , which HBO Max .

Their . Michael Keaton will be the Batman from this universe . I don't know if he's going to have a big role in the film , but they said he will make an appearance .

So so JK Simmons was the Ben Affleck Gordon , right OK , but Ben Affleck's not the Batman for that universe , right OK . So JK Simmons is just he's just there .

He's , he's , he's great . He's the man above all universe . He's J Jonah Jameson . He's Commissioner Gordon .

Who's next ? He's going to be Perry he sends time and space .

He's going to play Perry White in a Superman movie .

They also had the black canary from the hero . No , the Harley Quinn .

My generation . What are you talking about ? And Dark Knight Rises ? You had . What's Jason Gordon Levitt ? And that middle name Robin , it doesn't count , that's a stupid nod . Yeah , that was dumb .

Essentially , he's supposed to have a ledge appearance in this movie , and then they said that the professor Hugo Strange will probably be the villain . Which he's like , this guy that ends up running Arkham Asylum and he figures out Batman's secret identity .

Professor Strange , not Dr Strange .

Yeah , professor Hugo , strange Hugo . Next we have Firestarter is getting a remake . Yeah , the Stephen King novel .

I don't know . I think it was Stephen King .

But Drew Barrymore was in the original to remake that into an R rated movie .

For horror . Let's see , ah , all right , the Ghost of the Ozarks , which David Arquette is like one of the main guys , but it's supposed to be like a southern , like time , like history time period piece , but it's a ghost story in the past . This is a movie .

Yeah , ok .

Ghost of the Ozarks . It's , it's coming out , let's see . It talks about the post Civil War Arkansas where there's some kind of ghosts or supernatural thing like attacking this town .

Yeah so .

I don't know but that something that come out February 3rd , so it comes out soon .

Next , there's a Amazon and MGM acquired Guy Ritchie's action thriller starring Jake Gyllenhaal . Right now they're calling it the interpreter , but it's supposed to be about the Afghan war , where him and a Afghan , I guess . Translator .

Interpreter , if you will .

They get attacked like their regiment or their you know , their group or whatever gets attacked , and they're the only two survivors and they're having to try and get out of the country together , like help each other out . Ok , so that movie is coming out . And then there's the curse of La Pastola or Pat Patezza I can't say that , but it's .

It's a .

This is about some kind of vampire-esque ghost that like hunts down people , that tear down , like the Amazon rainforest .

Wow .

And it traps and pulls them off into the woods and call them like that . Pretty much , but that's . That's the only other movie that I saw that looked interesting at the moment .

OK , well , we got to fly through the next two reviews anyways , yeah go ahead TV time .

The Witcher .

Yeah .

Season two .

What'd you think ? I liked it . Yeah , it was better than the first season .

I like it was a much more linear story . Yeah , it was a little easier to follow they definitely listened to the audience's complaints . Especially being , like you know , I you have read the Witcher books . Yeah , I have not .

The first season definitely made a lot more sense than why they chose to do it all out of whack like that , because the first two books are short stories that introduce characters in random times , and then the series begins the third book with it's .

So season two features Siri a lot more and and Geralt , obviously , because he's Gary Rivers , Gary Rivers .

You're seeing Gary the metrosexual . Those memes , yeah yeah , those are hilarious .

But a lot of it takes place in Cremoran , with Siri going through like Witcher training and the other witchers and like them , kind of like taking under a wing and basically just putting her through the like the Ninja Warrior training and watching her get the crap beaten out of her by machines .

I can't remember . I think the book was a little bit more masculine , like the video games were a lot more like Siri got to do the training , but I think the books were like no women can do it .

Yeah , I think so .

It's interesting . The show kind of went both sides like she wouldn't get the , the potion or whatever .

Yeah , there's like you know , we'll teach you stuff , but you can't be a witcher . There's never been a female witcher .

Right . Because she would lose her ability to have children , which is defeats the whole purpose for her existing . Because she

Yes , right , because she's a princess Right .

So the chosen one the chosen one .

And then you have Yennefer and her nonsense .

That wasn't anywhere . That was all made up .

That whole her losing her power and like the lady in the woods If in the hut with the doors there might have been a situation where Yennefer was like in , like feebled at some point .

But I don't think it was like she lost her powers . I can't remember , I don't know , and then the elves . That was a weird little the elves in their dichotomy of politics with the humans and with Nilfgaard . Yeah , that's always been interesting ,

Yeah , that's just me though , because , like , the elves are like , yeah , we're on the run and all sort of stuff , and I was like man , lord of the Rings , that crap never would have happened . Yeah Right , they , like you guys , would have ran the world .

Well , the elves outnumbered everybody in Lord of the Rings , right .

No , and originally yes , until the men were created .

Okay .

And then it was kind of even of them . Obviously , the war has kind of thinned out both sides , I do like that .

The elves are basically looked at second rated citizens in the Witcher series . You know men have this like racism towards elves . Right , and I think that that's an interesting appeal . They're kind of taking it a little over the top , I think , in the show .

Well , yeah , Like you know , the elf lady like has like the first , like purebred elf child and like forever Right . And then some dude like stabs the kid .

Yeah .

Like it's kind of gnarly .

Yeah .

And then she goes like full on vengeance and like kills every baby in the city Right .

Right , but I like that , that kind of conflict that they show us , but because men you know always have a race issue and stuff like that , and they're always trying to prove themselves to be the best , even though they live shorter than everybody else and they're weaker than everybody else , so yeah .

But it was a I liked it . There was a lot of interesting monsters that they threw at a lot of those things that I don't know where they came up with . I don't know where they came up with some of that stuff . A lot of good fighting scenes . The action was always good . I feel like the special effects got a little better .

Oh yeah , they threw a lot more money in this season .

You could tell , especially with that one guy who looked like the dude from beating the beast .

Yeah , that was a torment gray from those torment Giants man . Yeah , giants man , I thought he looked familiar .

I didn't recognize him because when he was changed back he didn't have a beard . He wasn't going the big woman .

That was a good little bit and that was pretty much straight from the books . I didn't like that . It was what six episodes , Eight episodes .

It felt like it felt it was .

It was a very quick season and I'm going to wait , probably in our two years , until season three , unless they have already like kind of got it ready and they're just like end of the year , christmas boom Maybe . We'll see so .

But , I .

it was a good season . I enjoyed it . Yeah , Henry Cavill is very passionate about it .

He's king of the nerds . Yeah , his video game , adaptation stuff . So yeah , Speaking of some news though .

Fallout .

Mm TV show . Yeah , we talked about this before .

Has . They've set a director Okay , jonathan Nolan . Oh , we'll direct the pilot episode of Fallout with Captain Marvel's Geneveld , robert's in Dwarf Okay , well , she , her and the offices , graham Wagner , as show runners . The office , the office .

So like a comedy overtone yeah , fallout is comedy .

It's like I mean I don't know if they're going to do , like that office , documentary stuff or you're just like sitting there looking at the camera going like anyway , I found the mutant . I don't like Jonathan .

Nolan . I think he he tries too hard to not be like Christopher Nolan and he's just not as successful and creative Like the . The West world got weird .

Yeah , yeah , it started out great though .

And that ? What was that remembrance movie with Hugh Jackman ? That ?

he did . Oh , reminiscent .

Yeah . Reminiscent yeah , that was weird , that was a dumb movie . Other news New bears beats Battlestar Galactica . Yeah movie will exist in a shared universe with Sam Eastmales upcoming TV series .

Yeah , so they're doing a film adaptation of the 78 series , uh-huh , and apparently they're doing a show that's supposed to be a continuation of the 78 series huh , Okay which would , I Guess , change some stuff . Okay , because in the original one Starbucks guy right and his name is actually Starbucks . It's not actually a nickname .

I liked the girl one . I can't remember the actress's name . I liked her a lot in the 2003 one .

I'm a big fan of the 78 version . I know yeah , cuz I saw that first . Like that was on TV on reruns and it was just like you know , like bow stark a lot because like discounts Star Wars .

Yeah , I was .

With the helmets , with the lights that would go across , and then , when they'd sit in the vipers to take off , they go Thrust it back into the chair .

Everything made more sense for the 2003 one , even though it was like pretty cheesy special effects , like the writing was so good . So , but this shows apparently is gonna come out on peacock cool peacocks kind of been throwing some hard game at some stuff .

They own all the rights to all the battle star , like the older stuff right now .

So yeah , yeah , we , yeah . We got peacock to watch the 2003 battle star and I enjoyed that considerably . So considerably .

There's also been some updates . House of the dragon is gonna be coming out nobody care a little bit sooner Okay but , they're gonna do 10 episodes for the first season , which is pretty much what . That's exactly what they did for game of thrones .

Yeah , is that per episode or like . I think that's just the first two episodes . Are that it's gonna suck ?

It's just , it's gonna look what they did to your franchise time .
