We like to watch people do stuff. Even the silliest and most mundane of actions will garner a large audience if the person is right. It’s fun to see celebrities and follow their every move, it’s not the healthiest thing for them or us, but hey that’s entertainment. The Truman Show conveys these points flawlessly and even serves as a prophetic film when it was released in the late 90s, in a time before reality television took off.
