Today, I will quickly cover the difference between “to win” and “to earn”.
- “To win” refers to competition. It is an irregular verb (to win, won, won) and it is used in many contexts. You usually win a race, a bet, a game, a match, a contest, a competition, a prize or reward, or the lottery.
- “To earn” refers to money or effort. You usually earn respect, a salary or wages, or points

- Do you earn reward points with your credit card?
- Are you the breadwinner of your family?
