Transcript

Hello and welcome to Wednesday’s Words with English with Languissimo® which will help you improve your vocabulary so that you can communicate better in English.

My name is Vanessa Rocket. I’m the founder and CEO of Languissimo®.

Today, I will quickly cover the difference between “post” and “position”.

-          “A post” is a long, sturdy piece of wood or metal that is set upright in the ground to support something.

It is also a piece of content you write and publish online, typically on social media.

Canada Post is the primary postal company in Canada.

-          “A position” is used in many instances. It can refer to your job, your viewpoint, the way something is placed, vertical or horizontal, the location where something is or a situation you’re in.

Some Practice Questions

-          Do you publish posts on social media?

-          What is your current position at your job?

Ta da! That’s it for today! I hope you enjoyed this podcast. Subscribe to English with Languissimo®, practice, take care and talk to you soon! Big hugs 😊
