Prepositions IN ON AT - Part 3

PREPOSITIONS:  IN ON AT. 

IN

In January (em janeiro).

In September (em setembro).

In 1968 (em 1968).

In summer (no verão).

In spring (na primavera). 

Examples:

My birthday is in September (meu aniversário é em setembro).  

The park is beautiful in spring (o parque fica bonito na primavera).

Neil Armstrong went to the moon in 1969 (Neil Armstrong foi à lua em 1969). 

Other examples:

In the morning (de manhã).

In the afternoon (à tarde).

In the evening (à noite). 

I go to school early in the morning (eu vou à escola de manhã cedo). 

My mother works in the afternoon  (minha mãe trabalha à tarde).

My father always goes out in the evening (meu pai sempre sai à noite). 

ON

On Sunday (no domingo).

On November 15 (em 15 de novembro).

On Elm Street (na rua Elm). 

I have English classes on Mondays and Wednesdays (eu tenho aulas de inglês nas segundas e quartas).  

My birthday is on July 10th (meu aniversário é dia 10 de julho). 

I live on Elm street (eu moro na rua Elm). 

 AT 

At 10:00 (às 10 horas).

At 356 Baker Street (no número 356 da rua Baker). 

The banks close at 4:00 pm (os bancos fecham as 4 horas da tarde). 

I live with my family at 356 Baker street (eu moro com minha família no número 356 da rua Baker).
