Episdode 242: Just Keep Leading

The Bible on Endurance

• 22 You will be hated by everyone because of my name. But the one who endures to the end will be saved.  -- Matthew 10:22 (CSB)
• 11 Up to the present hour we are both hungry and thirsty; we are poorly clothed, roughly treated, homeless; 12 we labor, working with our own hands. When we are reviled, we bless; when we are persecuted, we endure it; 13 when we are slandered, we respond graciously. Even now, we are like the scum of the earth, like everyone’s garbage. -- 1 Corinthians 4:11-13 (CSB)
• 6 Love finds no joy in unrighteousness but rejoices in the truth. 7 It bears all things, believes all things, hopes all things, endures all things. -- 1 Corinthians 13:6-7 (CSB)
• 5 But as for you, exercise self-control in everything, endure hardship, do the work of an evangelist, fulfill your ministry. -- 2 Timothy 4:5 (CSB)

  Endurance is a powerful word:

• Requires a willingness to pay the price...a willingness to train
• Requires big shoulders to accept the responsibility...a willingness to lead
• Causes physical reactions...a willingness to know yourself
• Works best with a coach or accountability system...a willingness to share and learn
• Leads to benefits...a willingness to get through
