James Robinson is a Professor of Global Conflict Studies at the University of Chicago and the Director of The Pearson Institute for the Study and Resolution of Global Conflicts. He is also the co-author (with Daron Acemoglu) of some influential books and articles, including “Why Nations Fail” (2012), “The Narrow Corridor” (2019), “Non-Modernization: Power-Culture Trajectories and the Dynamics of Political Institutions*”* (2021), and “Culture, Institutions and Social Equilibria: A Framework” (2021).
