As we continue our study in chapter two we will see: We must live by faith in the Lord 2:1-3, We must live by the Grace of God 2:4-16 and We must live by Hope 2:17-23
The stories of Ruth and Esther will make you contemplate 'Would I trust God enough to do what they did?' We will go chapter by chapter through the books of Ruth and Esther to see how the lives of these two remarkable women epitomize the type of faith that glorifies God.
Peter has taught us to live a Godly life through walking in hope, walking in holiness, walking in harmony, and walking in submission. In these last verses Peter gives us three admonitions to obey if we are to glorify God in these difficult times; Be humble, Be watchful, and Be hopeful.
The exhortations of these four verses can apply to all of us. We should all strive to be the Best we can be for Christ. Live each day for the glory of God.
In this Passage Peter reminds us that as Christians we should not think it strange when fiery trials come our way, that we are to rejoice in suffering for Christ's sake.
Everything we do is to glorify God. Don't waste your life on frivolous things, but live in the light of Christ's return. In these verse Peter shows us how to handle persecution and how we are to be sober-minded watching for Christ's return.
This is a Great Passage as Peter gives us a peak into what happened between Christ's death and His resurrection. The sacrificial death for believers
Peter wrote the book of 1 Peter to prepare Christians for the fiery trial of persecution, to encourage them in their faith. His approach was optimistic and positive. Prepare for the Best was his message. In this section, Peter gave them three instructions to follow if they would experience the best blessing in the worst times.
As Marriage partners we are to submit to each other and to God. In these verses we will see the guidelines for a happy marriage as well as how to live godly lives. Total devotion to each other and to God.
In this study Peter shows us how to walk in submission! Submission gets a bad rap these days, But as we will see Submission does not mean slavery or subjugation but simply the recognition of God's authority in our lives. We see how we are to submit as unto the Lord, respecting the office not necessarily the person in the office. Blessings to you all.
http://empoweredbiblestudy.blogspot.com In this study, Peter shows us that we are to walk in harmony with those around us. We receive our power to get along with others through the Holy Spirit. This is why it is so important to be in the Word of God every day and be in His presence 24/7.
In this study of 1 Peter 1:13-21 we will examine the five spiritual incentives Peter gives to encourage us to maintain a holy walk. The glory of God (vs 13) The Holiness of God (vs 14-15) The Judgment of God (vs 17) and The Love of God (vs 18-21).
http://empoweredbiblestudy.blogspot.com Here Peter encourages us in our faith to be secure in our salvation knowing that God the Father, God the Son Jesus Christ, and God the Holy Spirit played a part in our salvation. That we have a living hope, a godly inheritance, and that God continually guards our souls.
The Apostle Peter wrote this letter to encourage believers who are facing trials and persecution. As we face the storms in our lives, Peter offers comfort and hope. This confident hope gives us the encouragement and enablement we need for daily living.
