Dr. Kwende is the CEO and Founder of EMK Learning Solutions LLC, a company which provides training, instructional design, coaching, leadership and professional development services to individuals, organizations, state and government agencies. Maurine’s purpose is to empower others to dream big, take action and reach their full potential through her company, her DBBA academy for aspiring and emerging leaders, her non-profit for women and girls, her books, research, Youtube channel and empowerment minutes podcast. As an entrepreneur, Maurine has worked with many clients in various sectors including higher education, non-profit organizations, corporations, state and government agencies. Prior to becoming an entrepreneur, she has over 20 years of work experience in the field of learning and development. She has her PhD in Learning Technologies Design Research from George Mason University with research interests in decision-making, artificial intelligence, workplace learning and emerging technologies. Maurine wears many hats and believes you can be anything you want to be in life if you take action.
