Episode description

Humans love moving groundwater around, so much so it turns out we’ve shifted the planet’s pole by almost a metre in the last 20 years. Thankfully we have Dr Shane, Dr Sarah and Dr Ailie to unpack this for us this week. Monash University Postdoctoral Associate Dr Amy Liu also joins the show to talk about cryptic species (things that can only be conclusively identified through molecular analysis) and Associate Professor Misty Jenkins AO from the Brain Cancer Centre at WEHI discusses her career and advocacy for both women in science and First Nations communities .
